Abstract
Description
Solenoid valve for damping adjustable shock absorber and damping adjustable shock absorber Technical Field
[0001] The present application relates to the field of shock absorbers, and in particular to a solenoid valve for a damping-adjustable shock absorber and the damping-adjustable shock absorber. Background Art
[0002] Chinese utility model patent publication number CN218377929U discloses a damping control solenoid valve with fail-safe protection. If the electromagnetic drive mechanism fails, the cavity between the inner valve core and the inner valve sleeve communicates with the outer valve sleeve's drain groove via the gap between the inner valve core's outer surface and the outer valve sleeve. This ensures that the pressure inside the cavity remains within a safe range even when the electromagnetic drive mechanism is inoperative.
[0003] However, the production consistency of the solenoid valve is difficult to ensure. During the manufacturing process, the flow cross-section of the gap is determined by the inner valve core and the outer valve sleeve. The machining accuracy of the gap is difficult to guarantee, resulting in fluctuations in the performance of the solenoid valve.

[0028] (First embodiment)
[0029] 1 to 4 show a solenoid valve according to a first embodiment of the present application, and in particular, a solenoid valve suitable for a damping-adjustable shock absorber.
[0030] 1 and 2 , the solenoid valve may include a housing assembly 1 , a main valve assembly 2 , and a pilot valve assembly 3 .
[0031] The housing assembly 1 may include a first housing 11 and a second housing 12. Specifically, the first housing 11 may define a primary output flow channel P13. The primary output flow channel P13 may extend through the circumferential wall of the first housing 11 in a radial direction R, and multiple primary output flow channels P13 may be evenly spaced along the circumferential direction C. The second housing 12 may be sleeved within the first housing 11, and the first and second housings 11, 12 may jointly define a pilot output flow channel P23.
[0032] The main valve assembly 2 may include a main valve core 21, a main valve seat 22, a first main spring 23, and a second main spring 24. Specifically, the main valve core 21 may define a main overflow channel P12, which may extend through the main valve core 21 in the axial direction A. The main valve seat 22 may define a main input channel P11, which may extend through the main valve seat 22 in the axial direction A. The main valve core 21 and the main valve seat 22 may be coaxially arranged and jointly define an annular working chamber C1. The first main spring 23 may be a coil spring, and the second main spring 24 may be a leaf spring. The first main spring 23 and the second main spring 24 may be arranged in series. One axial end of the first main spring 23 (the upper end in Figures 1 and 2) may abut against the second main spring 24, and the other axial end of the first main spring 23 (the lower end in Figures 1 and 2) may abut against the main valve core 21. The first housing 11 may be sleeved on the main valve assembly 2 , and the outer periphery of the second main spring 24 may be fixedly mounted on the first housing 11 .
[0033] The pilot valve assembly 3 may include a control assembly 31 and an actuating assembly 32 .
[0034] The control assembly 31 may include a pilot valve core 311, a pilot valve seat 312, and a pilot spring 313. Specifically, the pilot valve core 311 may define a pilot overflow channel P22. The pilot overflow channel P22 may extend through the pilot valve core 311 in the axial direction A, and multiple pilot overflow channels P22 may be evenly spaced apart in the circumferential direction C. The pilot valve seat 312 may define a pilot input channel P21. The pilot input channel P21 may extend through the pilot valve seat 312 in the axial direction A, and multiple pilot input channels P21 may be evenly spaced apart in the circumferential direction C. The pilot valve core 311 and the pilot valve seat 312 may be coaxially arranged and jointly define an annular working gap S. One axial end (the upper end in Figures 1 and 2 ) of the pilot spring 313 can abut against the pilot valve core 311, and the other axial end (the lower end in Figures 1 and 2 ) of the pilot spring 313 can abut against the pilot valve seat 312. The first housing 11 can be sleeved on the control assembly 31. The first housing 11, the pilot valve seat 312, and the main valve core 21 can collectively define a control chamber C2.
[0035] 3 and 4 , the pilot valve core 311 can independently define the safety flow channel P3. Specifically, the pilot valve core 311 may include a base 314 and a flange 315. The flange 315 may protrude from the axial end surface of one side of the base 314 toward the axial side. The flange 315 may extend along the circumferential direction C, and the output end of the pilot overflow flow channel P22 may be located radially inside the flange 315. The flange 315 may be provided with one or more notches 31a, and the notches 31a may form the safety flow channel P3. The notches 31a may pass through the flange 315 along the radial direction R, and the number of notches 31a is preferably multiple, and the multiple notches 31a may be evenly spaced and arranged in the circumferential direction C. For example, in this embodiment, the area of the flow cross section of the safety flow channel P3 may be 3.10 mm 2 Up to 3.20mm 2 , preferably 3.14mm 2 .
[0036] The actuating assembly 32 may include an iron core 321, an armature 322, a push rod 323, and a coil 324. Specifically, the actuating assembly 32 may be mounted on the second housing 12. The second housing 12 may be sleeved on the iron core 321 and the armature 322, and the iron core 321 and the armature 322 may be sleeved on the push rod 323. The armature 322 may be fixedly connected to the push rod 323, for example, it may be interference fit with the push rod 323. The other axial end of the push rod 323 (the lower end in Figures 1 and 2) may abut against the pilot valve core 311. The second housing 12 may be made of a soft magnetic material, and the magnetic flux generated by the coil 324 may form a closed magnetic circuit via the second housing 12, the iron core 321, the armature 322, and the push rod 323.
[0037] Referring to Figure 1 , the solenoid valve can operate in normal mode. Specifically, in normal mode, the actuator assembly 32 can be energized. The push rod 323 can press against the pilot valve core 311, thereby applying a force to the pilot valve core 311 toward the other axial side (the lower side in Figure 1 ). By adjusting the current flowing through the coil 324, the pilot valve core 311 can move along the axial direction A, causing the pilot valve core 311 and the pilot valve seat 312 to move closer to or further from each other, thereby changing the flow cross-section area of the working gap S. The pilot valve core 311 and the core 321 can be separated from each other. The annular space (excluding the notch 31a) between one axial end of the pilot valve core 311 (the upper end in Figure 1 ) and the other axial end of the core 321 (the lower end in Figure 1 ) can form a communication channel P4. In other words, the pilot valve core 311 and the core 321 can jointly define the communication channel P4. In one flow path, the damping oil can flow sequentially through the main input channel P11, the main overflow channel P12, the control chamber C2, the pilot input channel P21, the working gap S, the pilot overflow channel P22, and the safety channel P3 into the pilot output channel P23. In the other flow path, the damping oil can flow sequentially through the main input channel P11, the main overflow channel P12, the control chamber C2, the pilot input channel P21, the working gap S, the pilot overflow channel P22, and the connecting channel P4 into the pilot output channel P23. In this configuration, the connecting channel P4 can serve as a bypass for the safety channel P3, allowing most of the damping oil to flow through the connecting channel P4 into the pilot output channel P23.
[0038] Referring to Figure 2 , the solenoid valve can operate in a safety mode. Specifically, in safety mode, the actuator assembly 32 can be in a de-energized state. The pilot spring 313 can press against the pilot valve core 311, thereby applying a force to the pilot valve core 311 toward one axial side (the upper side in Figure 1 ). Driven by the pilot spring 313 , the pilot valve core 311 can move toward one axial side (the upper side in Figure 2 ) until the top of the flange 315 abuts the other axial end face of the core 321 (the lower end face in Figure 2 ), transitioning from the state shown in Figure 1 to the state shown in Figure 2 . The other axial end face of the core 321 (the lower end face in Figure 2 ) can cover the top of the notch 31a, sealing the notch 31a in both the axial direction A and the circumferential direction C. Once the pilot valve core 311 abuts the core 321, the flow cross-section of the working gap S reaches its maximum area, and the pilot valve core 311 and the core 321 no longer define the connecting flow path P4. In this configuration, the safety flow channel disc P3 no longer has a bypass, so that the safety flow channel P3 can replace the working gap S to play a throttling role.
[0039] By providing the safety channel P3, the solenoid valve provides a power-off protection function, preventing the adjustable damping shock absorber from exhibiting damping characteristics that are either too soft or too hard in the power-off state. Furthermore, compared to the prior art, the safety channel P3 is defined by a single component (the pilot valve core 311), making it easier to ensure the dimensional accuracy of the safety channel P3 and ensuring greater production consistency for the solenoid valve.
[0040] (Second embodiment)
[0041] The second embodiment is a modification of the first embodiment. For features that are the same as or similar to those of the first embodiment, the same reference numerals are used in this embodiment, and detailed descriptions of these features are omitted.
[0042] Referring to Figures 5 to 7 , the safety channel P3 is now solely defined by the first housing 11, while the connecting channel P4 is now jointly defined by the first housing 11 and the push rod 323. Specifically, the first housing 11 may define the safety channel P3 and the connecting hole 11a. The safety channel P3 and the connecting hole 11a may extend through one axial end wall of the first housing 11 (the upper end wall in Figures 5 to 7 , hereinafter referred to as the end wall) along the axial direction A. The push rod 323 may extend through the end wall via the connecting hole 11a, and the annular space between the inner circumference of the connecting hole 11a and the outer circumference of the push rod 323 may form the connecting channel P4.
[0043] The pilot valve core 311 may include a base 314 and a flange 315. Specifically, the base 314 may define a pilot overflow channel P22, which may extend through the base 314 in the axial direction A. Multiple pilot overflow channels P22 may be evenly spaced in the circumferential direction C, and at least one pilot overflow channel P22 may overlap with the safety channel P3 in the axial direction A. In other words, when viewed in the axial direction A, at least one pilot overflow channel P22 may overlap with the safety channel P3 (i.e., their circumferential positions are aligned). The flange 315 may protrude from one axial end surface of the base 314 (the upper end surface in Figures 5 to 7) toward one axial side (the upper side in Figures 5 to 7). The flange 315 may be annular, and the output end (the upper end in Figures 5 to 7) of the pilot overflow channel P22 may be located radially outward of the flange 315. The flange 315 and the communication hole 11 a may be coaxially arranged, and an outer diameter of the flange 315 may be greater than a diameter of the communication hole 11 a .
[0044] Referring to Figure 5 , the solenoid valve can operate in normal mode. Specifically, in normal mode, the top end of flange 315 and the other axial side surface of the end wall (the lower wall surface in Figure 5 ) can be separated from each other. In one flow path, the damping oil can flow sequentially through the main input channel P11, the main overflow channel P12, the control chamber C2, the pilot input channel P21, the working gap S, the pilot overflow channel P22, and the safety channel P3 into the pilot output channel P23. In another flow path, the damping oil can flow sequentially through the main input channel P11, the main overflow channel P12, the control chamber C2, the pilot input channel P21, the working gap S, the pilot overflow channel P22, and the connecting channel P4 into the pilot output channel P23. In one possible scenario, as shown in Figure 6 , the coil 324 can be supplied with a large current, causing the pilot valve core 311 to abut against the pilot valve seat 312, thereby achieving the stiffest damping characteristics of the adjustable damping shock absorber.
[0045] Referring to Figure 7 , the solenoid valve can operate in safety mode. Specifically, in safety mode, the top end of flange 315 can abut against the other axial side surface of the end wall (the lower wall surface in Figure 7 ), causing the input end (the lower end in Figure 7 ) of communication channel P4 to be sealed by pilot valve core 311. In this configuration, the damping oil flowing out of pilot relief channel P22 no longer flows through communication channel P4 into pilot output channel P23, effectively eliminating the bypass of safety channel P3.
[0046] (Third embodiment)
[0047] According to a third embodiment of the present application, the present application further provides a damping adjustable shock absorber. For features identical or similar to those of the first and second embodiments, the same reference numerals are used in this embodiment, and detailed descriptions of these features are omitted.
[0048] The adjustable damping shock absorber may include a solenoid valve, a piston, and a cylinder. Specifically, the solenoid valve may be the solenoid valve of the first embodiment or the second embodiment. The cylinder may be sealed around the piston, and the solenoid valve may be disposed on the outside of the cylinder. The main valve assembly 2 is used to damp the movement of the piston relative to the cylinder, and the pilot valve assembly 3 is used to adjust the magnitude of the damping. Referring to FIG8 , the adjustable damping shock absorber may have moderate damping characteristics in the power-off state. The horizontal axis represents the speed of movement of the piston relative to the cylinder, in units of m / s. The vertical axis represents the damping force, in units of N. When the damping force is positive, the adjustable damping shock absorber is in a rebound state. When the damping force is negative, the adjustable damping shock absorber is in a compression state. In normal mode, the coil 324 may have a minimum current, for example, a current of 0.4 A, so that the adjustable damping shock absorber has the softest damping characteristics as shown by curves L11 or L21. The coil 324 may have a maximum current, for example, 1.6 A to 2 A, so that the adjustable damping shock absorber has the hardest damping characteristic as shown by curve L12 or L22. In the safety mode, the adjustable damping shock absorber may have a moderate damping characteristic as shown by curve L13 or L23.
[0049] It should be understood that the above embodiments are merely exemplary and are not intended to limit the present application. Those skilled in the art may make various modifications and changes to the above embodiments based on the teachings of the present application without departing from the scope of the present application.

[0051] It should be understood that when there are multiple flow channels, the area of the flow cross section of the flow channel refers to the sum of the areas of the flow cross sections of the multiple flow channels.
[0052] It can be understood that in the embodiments shown in FIG. 5 to FIG. 7 , similar to the first embodiment, the safety flow channel can be defined by forming a notch on the flange 315 . In this case, the safety flow channel may no longer be defined by the end wall.
