Description

Description Title of the invention: Actuating device for transmission system Technical field [1] The invention relates to an actuating device for a transmission system, intended for driving a motorized vehicle. [2] The actuating device is for example inserted into a transmission system of the connecting clutch type interposed between the output of a speed reducer and the wheel of the vehicle. Alternatively, the actuating device is for example inserted into a transmission system where an actuating fork is used for changing a gear ratio within a gearbox. The transmission system can transmit for example a torque and / or a movement. [3] In the case of a gearbox, the actuating device allows for dog clutching between an axially movable sliding gear and at least one idler gear, generally two idler gears. The idler gear(s) are mounted freely around a driven shaft and the sliding gear is coupled in rotation with this driven shaft. Thus, the dog clutching of an idler gear allows this idler gear to be secured in rotation with the driven shaft. The axial movement of the sliding gear is placed under the control of an actuating fork for the engagement of at least one speed ratio, generally two speed ratios. Such dog clutching is carried out during an angular correspondence between the dog clutch teeth of the sliding gear and the dog clutch teeth of one of the idler gears. Technological background [4] Such actuating devices may be used in some robotic gearboxes to control gear selection. In such gearboxes, an actuating device enables gear changes by transmitting motion between a rotary motor and an actuating fork. Most commonly, a gear reduction system is provided on the output shaft of the rotary motor in order to amplify the transmitted torque, then a mechanism for converting rotational movement into translational movement is arranged at the output of the reduction gear system in order to be able to move the actuating fork to a speed engagement position. [5] Such actuating devices existing in the prior art have the disadvantages that a large number of components and complex kinematic movements are implemented to ensure the transmission of the movement from the rotation of the rotary motor to the translation of the actuating fork, which has a negative impact on both the cost, compactness and mechanical efficiency of the assembly. Summary [6] In all that follows, ordinal numeral adjectives are used to differentiate characteristics. They do not define the position of a characteristic. Therefore, for example, a third characteristic of a product does not mean that the product has a first and / or a second characteristic. [7] An idea underlying the invention is an actuating device which makes it possible to solve one or more technical problems of the prior art, for example the aforementioned problems. [8] The invention relates to an actuating device for a transmission system comprising: an electric motor comprising a rotor shaft rotating about a rotor axis; a connecting member kinematically linked in rotation directly or indirectly to the rotor shaft of the electric motor, the connecting member having a main axis as its axis of rotation, the connecting member comprising an opening positioned radially offset from the main axis, the opening comprising at least two lateral surfaces parallel and symmetrical by a ratio to a plane passing through the main axis; a receiving member moving axially along an actuation axis orthogonal to the main axis; and a drive element integral with the receiving member and extending axially through the opening along an output axis parallel to the main axis; the opening and the drive element cooperating in such a way that a rotation of the rotor shaft of the electric motor causes a translation of the receiving member; the receiving member comprising an actuation fork and a guide axis, the actuation fork and the drive element both being fixed integrally to the guide axis, the guide axis being configured to translate along the actuation axis, the guide axis being guided in rotation relative to a fixed frame, preferably via plain bearings or rolling bearings. [9] The invention relates to an actuating device for a transmission system comprising: an electric motor comprising a rotor shaft rotating about a rotor axis; a connecting member kinematically connected in rotation directly or indirectly to the rotor shaft of the electric motor, the connecting member having a main axis as its axis of rotation, the connecting member comprising an opening positioned radially offset from the main axis, the opening comprising at least two lateral surfaces parallel and symmetrical with respect to a plane passing through the main axis; a receiving member moving axially along an actuating axis orthogonal to the main axis; and a drive element secured to the receiving member and extending axially through the opening along an output axis parallel to the main axis; the opening and the drive element cooperating in such a way that a rotation of the rotor shaft of the electric motor causes a translation of the receiving member.

[0010] Thanks to the architecture according to the invention, the drive element can be linked directly to the actuating fork or to the guide axis, which makes it possible to limit the number of components necessary to ensure the transmission of the movement from the rotation of the rotary motor to the translation of the drive elements.

[0011] For the purposes of this application: "axially" means "parallel to the main axis"; "radially" means "along an axis belonging to a plane orthogonal to the principal axis and intersecting this principal axis"; "angularly" or "circumferentially" means "around the main axis"; the terms "external" and "internal" are used to define the relative position of one component with respect to another, by reference to the axis of rotation for which they are concentric, a component close to said axis is thus qualified as internal as opposed to an external component located radially on the periphery; "rotationally linked" means "assembled so that they do not rotate relative to each other." In other words, it is a rotationally integral connection, possibly with very little play such as spline play;

[0012] In the present invention, the term "guide axis" means any component supported by a fixed frame and providing the translational guidance function along the actuation axis of the receiving member relative to said fixed frame.

[0013] According to an additional characteristic of the invention, the drive element is fixed integrally to the receiving member by a fixing process, in particular a welding, gluing, screwing or even shrink-fitting process.

[0014] According to an additional characteristic of the invention, the receiving member comprises an actuating fork, the drive element and the actuating fork forming a single, single-piece component.

[0015] Advantageously, the actuating fork can be produced by a foundry or forging manufacturing process which allows the single-piece integration of an axially projecting protrusion constituting the drive element.

[0016] According to an additional characteristic of the invention, the receiving member comprises an actuating fork, the actuating fork comprising a main body and two actuating arms originating from the main body, the two actuating arms extending in a plane perpendicular to the actuating axis and being configured to move a dog clutch sleeve.

[0017] According to an additional feature of the invention, the receiving member comprises an actuating fork and a guide shaft, the actuating fork and the drive element both being fixedly attached to the guide shaft, the guide shaft being configured to translate along the actuating axis, the guide shaft being guided in rotation relative to a fixed frame, preferably via plain bearings or rolling bearings.

[0018] According to another characteristic of the invention, the receiving member comprises an actuating fork and a guide shaft, the drive element being fixed integrally or in one piece with the actuating fork, the actuating fork being fixed integrally to the guide shaft, the guide shaft being configured to translate along the actuating axis, the guide shaft being guided in rotation relative to a fixed frame, preferably via plain bearings or rolling bearings.

[0019] According to an additional feature of the invention, the actuating fork, the drive element and the guide shaft form a single, single-piece component.

[0020] According to an additional feature of the invention, the drive element moves continuously along one of the at least two side surfaces of the opening under the action of rotation of the rotor shaft of the electric motor.

[0021] This feature allows simple and precise control of the axial position of the receiving member as a function of the angular position of the rotor shaft of the electric motor. Thanks to the architecture according to the invention, this feature can be easily obtained by jointly adapting the geometries of the drive element and the opening of the connecting member, so as to ensure free radial movement of the drive element regardless of the angular position of the connecting member. Thus, the forces transmitted to the drive element are directed almost entirely circumferentially.

[0022] According to an additional feature of the invention, a height of the opening of the connecting member and an angular operating range of the connecting member are defined, the height being configured so that no contact occurs radially between the drive element and the opening of the connecting member in the entire angular operating range of the connecting member.

[0023] According to an additional characteristic of the invention, a mounting clearance is defined circumferentially between a first width separating the two lateral surfaces of the opening and a second width of the drive element, the mounting clearance being between 0.05 and 1 mm, the mounting clearance preferably being between 0.1 and 0.5 mm.

[0024] This last feature allows for a mounting game having a value: - large enough to allow, during the assembly phase, easy axial insertion of the drive element into the opening; - sufficiently small to allow, during the actuation phases of the receiving member, to limit the dead travel, that is to say the quantity of movement of the drive element taking place without contact with the connecting member, this dead travel having a detrimental effect on the overall efficiency of the actuation device, in particular on the speed of changing gears of a gearbox or on the connection / disconnection speed of a clutch.

[0025] According to an additional feature of the invention, the end of the drive element and / or the edges of the opening of the connecting member comprise a chamfer or a connecting radius in order to facilitate insertion during the assembly phase.

[0026] According to an additional characteristic of the invention, the opening is of substantially oblong shape and the part of the drive element cooperating with the opening is of substantially cylindrical shape, in particular of right circular cylindrical shape.

[0027] The cylindrical shape allows the drive element to slide in the opening of the connecting member, limiting the relative movements of the contacting surfaces, and therefore reducing wear and mechanical losses through friction.

[0028] The cylindrical shape also has the advantage of being easily manufacturable, for example with a turning machining process, or by cutting a metal bar.

[0029] According to an additional characteristic of the invention, the substantially oblong shape of the opening is closed.

[0030] According to another characteristic of the invention, the substantially oblong shape of the opening opens onto the external periphery of the connecting member.

[0031] According to an additional characteristic of the invention, a friction reducing means is interposed between the drive element and the opening, said friction reducing means being able to be in particular a plain bearing or a rolling bearing or a sliding coating containing molybdenum disulfide or graphite or polytetrafluoroethylene.

[0032] An advantage of this means of reducing friction is that it allows the service life of the actuating device to be extended by limiting wear to a very low level, typically to wear corresponding to a loss of thickness of the drive element or aperture of less than 0.2 mm. Another advantage is that reduce mechanical losses through friction thanks to a very low coefficient of friction, typically less than 0.15.

[0033] According to an additional characteristic of the invention, a first radial distance separating the main axis from the output axis is greater than a second radial distance separating the main axis from the actuating axis.

[0034] The architecture of the invention according to this latter characteristic makes it possible to radially increase the distance between the drive element and the main axis around which the connecting member rotates. This has the advantage of: - reduce the angular rotation of the connecting member necessary to achieve the same translation of the receiving member; consequently, the angular rotation of the rotor shaft of the electric motor can also be reduced, which ultimately makes it possible to increase the actuation speed, for example for changing gear in a gearbox or for connecting / disconnecting a clutch; - reduce the forces and relative radial movements in contact between the drive element and the opening of the connecting member, which results in reduced wear.

[0035] According to an additional characteristic of the invention, a first radial distance separating the main axis from the output axis is less than a second radial distance separating the main axis from the actuating axis. This configuration of the actuating device has the advantage of being radially compact.

[0036] According to an additional characteristic of the invention, the output axis is perpendicular and intersecting the actuation axis.

[0037] According to an additional characteristic of the invention: the receiving member comprises an actuating fork configured for coupling and uncoupling one or more gears and / or shafts of a gearbox of a vehicle; and the drive element, by sliding in the opening, moves in translation along the actuating axis between a central position, a first lateral position and a second lateral position, the central position corresponding to the neutral point of the gearbox, the first lateral position allowing a first engaged gear of the gearbox to be selected and the second lateral position allowing a second engaged gear of the gearbox to be selected.

[0038] The electric motor drives the rotation of the connecting member around the main axis in a first direction of rotation to reach the first lateral position and in a second direction of rotation, opposite to the first direction of rotation, to reach the second lateral position.

[0039] Thus, the architecture according to this embodiment of the invention makes it possible to simply and economically ensure the gear change of a two-speed robotic gearbox. The actuating fork can, for example, ensure coupling and uncoupling by dog clutch between a mobile sliding gear and two idler gears.

[0040] According to another characteristic of the invention: the receiving member is capable of cooperating with a clutch comprising a closed state to ensure the transmission of torque from at least one shaft of a transmission chain of a vehicle and an open state to interrupt the transmission of torque from at least one shaft of a transmission chain of a vehicle; and the drive element, by sliding in the opening, moves in translation along the actuation axis between a first lateral position and a second lateral position, the first lateral position making it possible to select the open state of the clutch and the second lateral position making it possible to select the closed state of the clutch.

[0041] Thus, the architecture according to this embodiment of the invention can make it possible to ensure in a simple and economical manner the disconnection of the torque transmission in a transmission line. This function can be used in particular for a vehicle comprising two motorized axles, by disconnecting the torque transmission of one of these axles when the latter is not useful in certain phases of operation of the vehicle. This makes it possible to improve the overall efficiency of the transmission line by eliminating mechanical losses associated with the rotation of the various unused components.

[0042] According to an additional characteristic of the invention, the clutch is a dog clutch.

[0043] According to an additional characteristic of the invention, the clutch is a friction clutch comprising one or more friction discs.

[0044] According to an additional characteristic of the invention, the connecting member is kinematically linked in rotation to the rotor shaft of the electric motor by a reduction means,

[0045] The reduction gearing system allows the torque supplied by the rotor shaft of the electric motor to be amplified. The torque thus amplified provides a sufficient value to overcome the mechanical forces required to actuate the receiving member.

[0046] Advantageously, the reduction means is achieved, for example, by a set of cylindrical gears kinematically linked in rotation to the rotor shaft of the electric motor. One or more reduction stages are possible depending on the desired reduction level.

[0047] According to an additional characteristic of the invention, the connecting member constitutes one of the components of the reduction means, the connecting member comprising on its external periphery a first toothing kinematically linked in rotation, directly or via other toothed wheels, to a second toothing secured to the rotor shaft of the electric motor.

[0048] The architecture of the invention following this latter characteristic makes it possible to reduce the number of components and therefore the cost and complexity of the actuation device.

[0049] According to an additional characteristic of the invention, the first toothing extends partially over the external periphery of the connecting member.

[0050] This latter feature makes it possible to reduce the cost of the connecting member by limiting the size and number of teeth in the gear to just what is necessary.

[0051] According to an additional characteristic of the invention, the connecting member is directly connected in rotation to the rotor shaft of the electric motor.

[0052] In the architecture of the invention according to this latter characteristic, no reduction means is provided, the cost and complexity of the device is thus reduced. The elimination of the reduction means is possible in certain applications where the torque provided by the electric motor alone proves sufficient to overcome the mechanical forces necessary for the actuation of the receiving member.

[0053] According to another of its aspects, the invention relates to a gearbox for a vehicle comprising an actuating device as described above.

[0054] Preferably, the gearbox comprises a fixed frame, in particular a casing, a gearbox shaft rotatable relative to the fixed frame and supporting a first gear and a second gear and a dog clutch sleeve. The receiving member comprises an actuating fork configured to selectively couple, via the dog clutch sleeve, either the first gear or the second gear, with the gearbox shaft which carries them. The actuating fork comprises a main body and two actuating arms originating from the body, the two actuating arms extending, in particular radially, in a plane perpendicular to the actuating axis and being configured to move the dog clutch sleeve.

[0055] Advantageously, the two actuating arms can be distributed on either side of the gearbox shaft.

[0056] Other characteristics and advantages of the invention are highlighted by the following description of non-limiting examples of embodiments of the different aspects of the invention. Description of the embodiments

[0057] For clarity, functionally identical or similar elements are identified by identical reference signs throughout the figures.

[0058] The descriptive elements already explained are not systematically repeated; only the particularities of the different embodiments and examples are detailed.

[0059] Figures 1 to 4 illustrate an actuating device 1 for a transmission system according to a first embodiment. Figure 1 illustrates this same actuating device 1 associated with a gear train 7 intended for example for a two-speed gearbox.

[0060] The actuating device 1 comprises the following elements. An electric motor 2 comprises a rotor shaft 21 rotating about a rotor axis XI. A reduction means 6 can be kinematically connected in rotation to the rotor shaft 21 in order to amplify the torque transmitted by the electric motor 2. This reduction means can be produced for example by several cylindrical gears cooperating kinematically in rotation. A connecting member 3 is connected in rotation to the output of the reduction means 6 associated with the electric motor 2, the connecting member 3 having as its axis of rotation a main axis X2. A bearing 8, mounted on a fixed frame and intended to support and guide in rotation the output of the reduction means 6, can also be installed upstream or downstream of the connecting member 3.

[0061] As illustrated in Figure 3, the connecting member 3 comprises an opening 31 positioned radially offset from the main axis X2. The opening 31 comprises two lateral surfaces 32 and 33 parallel and symmetrical with respect to a plane P passing through the main axis X2.

[0062] On the other hand, the actuating device 1 comprises a receiving member 4 moving axially along an actuating axis Y orthogonal to the main axis X2 and a drive element 5 secured to the receiving member 4 which extends axially through the opening 31 of the connecting member 3 along an output axis X3 parallel to the main axis X2. Thus, the opening 31 of the connecting member 3 and the drive element 5 cooperate in such a way that a rotation of the rotor shaft 21 of the electric motor 2 causes a translation of the receiving member 4.

[0063] As illustrated in Figure 8, a height H of the opening 31 of the connecting member 3 can be defined radially, the height H being configured so that no contact occurs radially between the drive element 5 and the opening 31 of the connecting member 3 in the entire angular operating range of the connecting member 3. In this way, the forces transmitted to the drive element 5 are directed circumferentially and the drive element 5 moves continuously along the lateral surfaces 32 or 33 of the opening 31 under the action of the rotation of the rotor shaft of the electric motor 2.

[0064] Figure 8 also illustrates a mounting clearance that can be defined circumferentially between a first width L1 separating the two lateral surfaces 32 and 33 of the opening 31 and a second width L2 of the drive element 5, the mounting clearance being able to be between 0.05 and 1 mm, the mounting clearance being able to be preferably between 0.1 and 0.5 mm.

[0065] Advantageously, the opening 31 may be of a substantially oblong shape and the part of the drive element 5 cooperating with the opening 31 may be of a substantially cylindrical shape.

[0066] As illustrated in Figure 4, the drive element 5 and the receiving member 4 can form a single, single-piece component. In this exemplary embodiment, the receiving member 4 comprises an actuating fork 42 fixedly attached to a guide axis 41, the guide axis being configured to translate along the actuating axis Y. The actuating fork 42, for example produced by a foundry or forging manufacturing process, integrates in a single-piece manner an axially projecting cylindrical protrusion constituting the drive element 5.

[0067] Figure 5 illustrates another exemplary embodiment where the cylindrically shaped drive element 5 can be fixed integrally and directly to the guide axis 41, for example by a welding process.

[0068] Figure 6 illustrates another exemplary embodiment where the cylindrically shaped drive element 5 can be securely attached to a workpiece intermediate part 43, the intermediate part 43 being able to be fixed securely and directly to the guide axis 41, for example by a welding process.

[0069] In the embodiments of Figures 1 to 6, the actuating fork comprises a main body 46 and two actuating arms 47 originating from the main body 46, the two actuating arms 47 extending in a plane perpendicular to the actuating axis Y and being configured to move a dog clutch sleeve.

[0070] In the embodiment illustrated by Figure 1, the receiving member 4 is an actuating fork 42 which, by translating from one side or the other along the actuating axis Y, can make it possible to select the coupling, for example by means of a dog clutch sleeve, either of the gear 72 or of the gear 71, with the shaft 7 which carries them. The selection of the coupling of the gear 72 can correspond to a first engaged gear and the selection of the coupling of the gear 71 can correspond to a second engaged gear of a gearbox.

[0071] Correspondingly, as illustrated in Figure 9, the drive element 5, by sliding in the opening 31, moves in translation along the actuation axis Y between a central position PO, a first lateral position PI and a second lateral position P2, the central position PO corresponding to the neutral position of the gearbox, the first lateral position PI making it possible to select a first engaged gear of the gearbox and the second lateral position P2 making it possible to select a second engaged gear of the gearbox. The electric motor 2 drives the rotation of the connecting member 3 around the main axis X2 in a first direction of rotation to reach the first lateral position PI and in a second direction of rotation, opposite to the first direction of rotation, to reach the second lateral position P2.

[0072] As illustrated in Figure 10, a first radial distance DI separating the main axis X2 from the output axis X3 and a second radial distance D2 separating the main axis X2 from the actuation axis Y can be defined. In the embodiment of Figure 10, the first radial distance DI is greater than the second radial distance D2. As illustrated in particular in Figures 4, 5 or 10, the architecture of the actuation device 1 according to the invention allows other possible configurations where DI can be less than or equal to D2, the choice being made according to the different design constraints.

[0073] Figure 7 illustrates another embodiment of the actuating device 1 in which the connecting member 3 can constitute one of the components of the reduction gear means 6. In this case, the connecting member 3 comprises on its external periphery a first toothing 61 kinematically linked in rotation via other toothed wheels to a second toothing 62 secured to the rotor shaft 21 of the electric motor 2. The first toothing 34 extends partially over the external periphery of the connecting member over an angular range corresponding to the entire angular range used by the transmission device 1 in operation.

[0074] Figure 11 illustrates another embodiment of the actuating device 1 that can be used to actuate a connecting clutch 10 configured to couple and uncouple a driving shaft 11 with a driven shaft 12. The driving shaft 11 comprises a first external spline 111 machined on its end. The driven shaft 12 is coaxial with the driving shaft 11 and comprises a second external spline 121. In this example, the driven shaft 12 is inserted into the driving shaft 11 and guided in rotation by means of a guide bearing 13. In this embodiment, the receiving member 4 can be in the form of an axial sliding member having a shape of revolution, the axial sliding member 4 comprising at least a first internal connecting spline 44 arranged to drive the driving shaft 11 in rotation and a second internal connecting spline 45 arranged to drive the driven shaft 12 in rotation. When the drive element 5 is in the second lateral position P2, the first and second internal connection splines 44, 45 are respectively engaged in the first external spline 111 of the driving shaft 11 and the second external spline 121 of the driven shaft 12, the connection clutch 10 is then in a closed state ensuring the transmission of torque. When the drive element 5 is in the first lateral position PI, the axial sliding member 4 moves axially in order to disengage the first spline. internal connection 44 of the first external spline 111 of the driving shaft 11, the connection clutch 10 is then in an open state ensuring the interruption of the torque transmission.

[0075] Figure 11 also illustrates that the actuating device 1 may comprise a friction reduction means 51 interposed between the drive element 5 and the opening 31 of the connecting member 3. In the example shown here, said friction reduction means 51 is a plain bearing.
