Abstract
Description
Rotating electric machines
[0001] The present invention relates to a rotating electric machine, for example, a rotating electric machine that can be cooled by a fluid.
[0002] Rotating electric machines that generate rotational force by utilizing a magnetic field generated by passing current through a coil are used in various industrial fields. Some of these rotating electric machines are equipped with a cooling structure to protect various components from heat generated by passing current through them.
[0003] For example, the rotating electric machine of Patent Document 1 is mainly composed of a stator core, a rotor core, a blower, and a two-fluid spray nozzle. A stator coil is wound around the stator core. A rotor coil is wound around the rotor core. When a voltage is applied to the stator coil, a force that rotates the rotor core is generated. The two-fluid spray nozzle is used to spray a mist of refrigerant. This mist is supplied to the surfaces of the stator core and rotor core together with cooling air supplied by the blower. The stator core and rotor core are cooled by the evaporation of the mist.
[0004] Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 5-207702 (page 2, Figure 1)
[0005] In the rotating electric machine of Patent Document 1, the mist-like coolant flows through the axial gap between the stator core and the rotor core, thereby improving cooling efficiency. However, there is a problem in that the particles of the mist-like coolant that flow into the axial gap aggregate to form larger particles that adhere to the surfaces of the stator core and the rotor core, creating resistance and reducing rotational force.
[0006] The present invention has been made in view of the above-mentioned problems, and has as its object to provide a rotating electric machine that can be cooled while maintaining rotational force.
[0007] In order to solve the above problems, the present invention provides a rotating electric machine comprising: a housing, a rotating shaft inserted into the housing, a stator installed on the housing side, and a rotor installed on the rotating shaft side, wherein the stator has a plurality of teeth arranged in the circumferential direction and coils wound around the teeth, with a gap extending in the axial direction being provided between circumferentially adjacent coils, and the rotating electric machine further comprises a nozzle that injects a refrigerant toward the gap. Since the refrigerant injected from the nozzle is guided along the gap, the amount of refrigerant flowing between the rotor and the stator can be reduced. This makes it possible to cool the stator while maintaining the rotational force of the rotor.
[0008] The nozzle may have an outlet that overlaps with the gap in the axial direction, whereby the refrigerant is injected from one axial side to the other axial side of the gap, thereby further reducing the amount of refrigerant that flows between the rotor and the stator.
[0009] The nozzle outlet may be directly connected to the gap, thereby supplying almost the entire amount of injected refrigerant into the gap, thereby further reducing the amount of refrigerant flowing between the rotor and the stator.
[0010] A cylindrical member may be disposed on the inner circumferential side of the stator, whereby the inner circumferential side of the gap is partitioned by the cylindrical member, thereby further reducing the amount of refrigerant flowing between the rotor and the stator.
[0011] A heat exchanger may be installed on the opposite side of the stator from the nozzle, thereby efficiently recovering the refrigerant that has passed through the gap, thereby further reducing the amount of refrigerant that flows between the rotor and the stator.
[0012] The refrigerant has a boiling point of 100°C or less and an insulation resistance of 10 8 This not only improves the cooling efficiency of the stator, but also makes it possible to more reliably maintain the rotational force of the rotor.
[0013] A plurality of the nozzles may be provided, which can improve the cooling efficiency of the stator.
[0014] In order to solve the above problems, the present invention provides a rotating electric machine including a housing, a rotating shaft inserted into the housing, a stator installed on the housing side, and a rotor installed on the rotating shaft side, wherein the rotor is provided with a through hole extending in the axial direction, and the rotating electric machine further includes a nozzle that injects a refrigerant toward the through hole. Since the refrigerant injected from the nozzle is guided along the through hole, the amount of refrigerant flowing between the rotor and the stator can be reduced. This allows the rotor to be cooled while maintaining its rotational force.
[0015] The nozzle may have an outlet that overlaps with the through hole in the axial direction, whereby the refrigerant is injected from one axial side to the other axial side of the through hole, thereby further reducing the amount of refrigerant that flows between the rotor and the stator.
[0016] The nozzle outlet may be directly connected to the through-hole, thereby allowing almost the entire amount of injected refrigerant to be supplied into the through-hole, further reducing the amount of refrigerant flowing between the rotor and the stator.
[0017] A heat exchanger may be installed on the opposite side of the rotor from the nozzle, thereby efficiently recovering the refrigerant that has passed through the through holes, thereby further reducing the amount of refrigerant that flows between the rotor and the stator.
[0018] The refrigerant has a boiling point of 100°C or less and an insulation resistance of 10 8 This not only increases the cooling efficiency of the rotor, but also makes it possible to more reliably maintain the rotational force of the rotor.
[0019] The nozzle may be connected to a flow path that branches off from a flow path that extends axially within the rotating shaft and extends radially, thereby allowing the rotating shaft to be cooled by the refrigerant.
[0020] A mechanical seal may be arranged in which a stationary seal ring provided on the housing side and a rotary seal ring provided on the rotating shaft side slide relative to each other. This allows a space for supplying refrigerant to the nozzle to be formed between the housing, which is a stationary member, and the rotating shaft, which is a rotating member.
[0021] A plurality of the nozzles may be provided, which can improve the cooling efficiency of the rotor.
[0022] To solve the above problems, the present invention provides a rotating electric machine comprising: a housing, a rotating shaft inserted through the housing, a stator mounted on the housing, and a rotor mounted on the rotating shaft, wherein the stator has a plurality of teeth arranged circumferentially and coils wound around the teeth, with gaps extending in the axial direction between circumferentially adjacent coils, and the rotor has a through hole extending in the axial direction, and the rotating electric machine further comprises a rotor-side nozzle that injects refrigerant toward the through hole and a stator-side nozzle that injects refrigerant toward the gap. Since the refrigerant injected from the nozzle is guided along the gap or the through hole, the amount of refrigerant flowing between the rotor and the stator can be reduced. This allows the stator and the rotor to be cooled while maintaining the rotational force of the rotor.
[0023] The rotor-side nozzle and the stator-side nozzle may have separate coolant supply paths, which allows the coolant to be stably supplied to each of the rotor-side nozzle and the stator-side nozzle.
[0024] The rotor may be provided with a permanent magnet, which may be located radially outward of the through hole, so that the permanent magnet can be cooled not only by the refrigerant passing through the through hole in the rotor, but also by the refrigerant passing through the gap in the stator.
[0025] The rotor-side nozzles and the stator-side nozzles may be arranged to face in the same direction, thereby reducing the temperature difference between the rotor and the stator in the radial direction.
[0026] A heat exchanger may be installed on the opposite side of the rotor-side nozzle and the stator-side nozzle, sandwiching the rotor and the stator. This simplifies the structure and allows the refrigerant that has passed through the gaps and through-holes to be efficiently collected. This further reduces the amount of refrigerant that flows between the rotor and the stator.
[0027] Fig. 1 is a cross-sectional view of a rotating electric machine according to a first embodiment of the present invention. Fig. 2 is a cross-sectional view of an enlarged portion of the rotating electric machine according to the first embodiment. Fig. 3 is a cross-sectional view taken along line AA in Fig. 1. Fig. 4 is a cross-sectional view of a rotating electric machine according to a second embodiment of the present invention.
[0028] DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS A rotating electric machine according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to the accompanying drawings.
[0029] A rotating electric machine according to a first embodiment will be described with reference to Fig. 1 to Fig. 4. In the following description, the top, bottom, left, and right of Fig. 1 will be taken as the top, bottom, left, and right of the rotating electric machine.
[0030] As shown in FIG. 1, a rotating electrical machine 1 of the present invention is capable of cooling a rotor 30 and a stator 40 with a coolant delivered by a pump 2 .
[0031] The rotating electrical machine 1 is mainly composed of a housing 10 , a rotating shaft 20 , a rotor 30 , a stator 40 , and two sets of mechanical seals 50 and 60 .
[0032] 1 to 4, the housing 10 has a rectangular parallelepiped shape with rounded corners on the outside and a cylindrical space on the inside. The housing 10, together with the rotating shaft 20, mechanical seals 50, 60, etc., defines a first space S1 (see FIG. 1) inside the housing 10.
[0033] Referring to Figure 1, the housing 10 is mainly composed of, from the left in the axial direction, a cover material 11, a cylindrical material 12 surrounding the stator 40, a cylindrical material 13 surrounding the bearing 71, a cylindrical material 14 with an inner step, and a heat exchanger 15.
[0034] The lid member 11 has a plate-shaped side wall 11a and a peripheral wall 11b extending axially rightward from the outer diameter end of the side wall 11a.
[0035] A through hole is formed in the side wall 11a, penetrating the radial center thereof in the axial direction, and a bearing 70 is fitted inside the through hole. The left end of the body portion 21 of the rotating shaft 20 is fitted inside the bearing 70.
[0036] A stator-side communication passage 11c is formed on the outer diameter side of the side wall 11a. The stator-side communication passage 11c is a flow passage with an L-shaped cross section, which extends from the outer circumferential surface of the side wall 11a toward the inner diameter side, then extends approximately perpendicularly to the right in the axial direction and opens in the same direction.
[0037] An external stator-side flow passage Ps is connected to a port of the stator-side communication passage 11c that opens toward the outer diameter side, as shown by a dashed line. The stator-side flow passage Ps branches off from the rotor-side flow passage Pr and is connected to a pump-side flow passage Pp that extends from the pump 2.
[0038] The opening of the stator-side communication passage 11c that opens toward the right in the axial direction communicates with a second space S2, which will be described later.
[0039] A communication passage 11d is formed in the peripheral wall 11b and extends radially therethrough. The communication passage 11d is located at the lower end of the left axial end of the housing 10. An external tank-side flow passage Pt, which is connected to the tank 3, is connected to the communication passage 11d.
[0040] A walled annular member 80 is fixed to the right side of the side wall 11a. An O-ring seals the gap between the side wall 11a and the walled annular member 80. The body 21 of the rotating shaft 20 is inserted into the walled annular member 80 on the inner diameter side.
[0041] The gap between the walled annular member 80 and the body portion 21 of the rotary shaft 20 is sealed by a mechanical seal 50. This mechanical seal 50 separates the first space S1 from the outer space S4.
[0042] The mechanical seal 50 is mainly composed of a stationary seal ring 51 , a rotary seal ring 52 , and a plurality of springs 53 .
[0043] The stationary seal ring 51 is formed in an annular shape and is inserted into the peripheral wall of the walled annular member 80. The body portion 21 of the rotating shaft 20 is inserted radially inward of the stationary seal ring 51. An O-ring seals the radial space between the peripheral wall of the walled annular member 80 and the stationary seal ring 51 while allowing axial movement.
[0044] A plurality of springs 53 are disposed axially between the side wall of the walled annular member 80 and the stationary seal ring 51. The springs 53 bias the stationary seal ring 51 toward the rotary seal ring 52.
[0045] The rotary seal ring 52 is fitted and fixed to the outside of the body portion 21 of the rotary shaft 20, and is restricted from rotating relative to the rotary shaft 20. The gap between the rotary seal ring 52 and the body portion 21 is sealed with an O-ring.
[0046] A stator-side refrigerant storage member 81 is fitted and fixed onto the walled annular member 80 .
[0047] The stator side refrigerant storage member 81 is composed of an annular plate-shaped plate member 82 and an annular member 83 .
[0048] A communication passage 82a penetrating in the axial direction is formed in the plate material 82. The plate material 82 is fitted and fixed to the outside of the walled annular member 80 with the communication passage 82a communicating with the stator side communication passage 11c.
[0049] An O-ring is disposed to circumferentially surround the communication passage 82a and seal the gap between the plate 82 and the side wall 11a of the cover 11. As a result, almost all of the refrigerant supplied to the stator-side communication passage 11c passes through the communication passage 82a and flows into the second space S2.
[0050] The annular member 83 has an annular groove recessed axially rightward from its left axial end face and opening axially leftward. The annular groove is continuous circumferentially. The plate member 82 and the annular member 83 are fixed hermetically with an adhesive. The space defined by the plate member 82 and the annular member 83 is the second space S2.
[0051] The stator-side refrigerant storage member 81 may be formed by sealing the plate member 82 and the annular member 83 together using an appropriate method such as welding or packing, or may be formed integrally using an additive processing device, more specifically, a 3D printer, as long as it can form the second space S2. The same applies to the rotor-side refrigerant storage member 90 described below.
[0052] 2, the annular member 83 has twelve equally spaced through-holes 83a that penetrate its axial right wall. Each through-hole 83a communicates with the second space S2. A stator-side nozzle 84 is fitted and fixed in each through-hole 83a in a sealed manner.
[0053] The stator-side nozzle 84 has a flow passage 84a that communicates with the second space S2, and a flow passage 84b that is located axially to the right of the flow passage 84a and has a smaller flow passage cross-sectional area than the flow passage 84a, and the right end of the flow passage 84b is an injection port 84c. The axial centers of the flow passages 84a and 84b and the axial center of the injection port 84c are approximately coaxial, and these axial centers are approximately parallel to the axial center of the rotating shaft 20.
[0054] The cylindrical member 12 has a substantially rectangular outer surface when viewed in the axial direction, and a cylindrical inner surface.
[0055] The cylindrical member 12 is axially connected to the peripheral wall 11b of the lid member 11. The axial gap between the cylindrical member 12 and the peripheral wall 11b is sealed by an O-ring. The inner diameter of the cylindrical member 12 is approximately the same as the inner diameter of the peripheral wall 11b of the lid member 11.
[0056] A stator 40 is fitted and fixed inside the cylindrical member 12. The stator 40 is disposed in the first space S1.
[0057] Referring to Figures 1 to 4, the stator 40 is mainly composed of 12 equally spaced stator cores 41 (see Figures 3 and 4), bobbins 42 attached to the teeth 41a of the stator cores 41, and coils 43 wound around the bobbins 42.
[0058] The stator core 41 is mainly composed of teeth 41a (see FIG. 3) extending in the radial direction and a plate portion 41b arranged on the outer diameter side, and has a substantially T-shape.
[0059] Referring to FIG. 3, the teeth 41a extend radially inward from the circumferential center of the plate portion 41b, and the radially inward ends protrude on both circumferential sides.
[0060] The plate portions 41b are fitted in a concave-convex manner with the plate portions 41b of the stator cores 41 adjacent in the circumferential direction. The plate portions 41b of the twelve stator cores 41 are connected in the circumferential direction to form a substantially cylindrical yoke 44. The yoke 44 is fitted and fixed inside the cylindrical member 12.
[0061] Although not shown directly in the drawings, the bobbin 42 is composed of two divided bodies separated in the axial direction and is fixed to the interior of the stator core 41. The bobbin may be composed of three or more divided bodies, or may be a single body, and its structure may be modified as appropriate.
[0062] The bobbin 42 has an outer diameter side wall portion 42a extending along the inner diameter side end face of the plate portion 41b, a frame portion 42b extending along the circumferential side end face of the teeth 41a, and an inner diameter side wall portion 42c protruding to one or the other circumferential side beyond the inner diameter side end of the teeth 41a.
[0063] As shown in FIG. 4, the outer diameter side wall portion 42a is a single thick plate whose both axial ends extend in the circumferential direction, and as shown in FIG. 3, the axial space between each thick plate, i.e., the axial center portion, is branched into two thin plates sandwiching the teeth 41a of the stator core 41.
[0064] The outer diameter sidewall portions 42 a of the twelve bobbins 42, the inner diameter ends of the plate portions 41 b of the twelve stator cores 41, and the outer diameter ends of the teeth 41 a are connected in the circumferential direction to form a substantially cylindrical outer cylinder 45. The outer cylinder 45 is provided on the inner diameter side of the yoke 44.
[0065] 1, the outer cylinder 45 extends further in the axial direction than the yoke 44 and the inner cylinder 46 (described later). For the sake of simplicity, the outer cylinder 45 and the inner cylinder 46 are shown as a continuous, integrated cylinder in FIG.
[0066] Although not shown directly in the drawings, the frame portion 42b has a thin plate shape with both axial ends extending in the circumferential direction, and with reference to Figure 3, the axial center thereof extends in the axial direction along the teeth 41a. In other words, the frame portion 42b has a rectangular frame shape when viewed from the radial direction.
[0067] Referring to Figure 4, the inner diameter side wall portion 42c is a single thick plate with both axial ends extending circumferentially, and referring to Figure 3, the axial central portion is branched into two thin plates that sandwich the inner diameter ends of the teeth 41a of the stator core 41.
[0068] The inner diameter sidewall portions 42c of the twelve bobbins 42 and the inner diameter ends of the teeth 41a of the twelve stator cores 41 are connected in the circumferential direction to form an inner cylinder 46 as a tubular member. The inner cylinder 46 has a substantially cylindrical shape and is provided on the inner diameter side of the outer cylinder 45.
[0069] As shown in FIG. 1, the inner cylinder 46 extends beyond the yoke 44 on both sides in the axial direction.
[0070] The coil 43 is wound around the teeth 41 a, more specifically around the frame portion 42 b of the bobbin 42 .
[0071] 3, slots 47 are formed between the teeth 41 a of circumferentially adjacent stator cores 41, more specifically, between the frame portions 42 b of circumferentially adjacent bobbins 42. Also, gaps 48 are left between circumferentially adjacent coils 43. The gaps 48 are part of the first space S1.
[0072] An injection port 84c of the stator-side nozzle 84 is disposed facing the gap 48. More specifically, the injection port 84c of the stator-side nozzle 84 overlaps with the gap 48 when viewed in the axial direction.
[0073] 1, the right end of the stator-side nozzle 84 abuts against the left end of the coil 43. In other words, the injection port 84c is connected to the gap 48 so as to be able to inject the refrigerant directly. Furthermore, since the connection is made by abutting the end faces, relative movement in the radial direction between the stator-side nozzle 84 and the coil 43 is permitted.
[0074] In the present invention, a state in which the outlet 84c is connected to the gap 48 so as to be able to inject the refrigerant directly is considered to be directly connected to the gap 48. This also applies to the rotor-side nozzle 94 described below. The right end of the stator-side nozzle 84 may be slightly spaced from the left end of the coil 43.
[0075] The cylindrical member 13 is mainly composed of an outer cylindrical portion 16 and an inner cylindrical portion 17 connected to the inside of the outer cylindrical portion 16 by a connecting portion 17a.
[0076] The outer cylindrical portion 16 includes a large inner diameter peripheral wall 16a and a small inner diameter peripheral wall 16b. When viewed from the axial direction, the large inner diameter peripheral wall 16a and the small inner diameter peripheral wall 16b have a generally rectangular outer side and a cylindrical inner side. The inner diameter of the large inner diameter peripheral wall 16a is larger than the inner diameter of the small inner diameter peripheral wall 16b.
[0077] The large inner diameter peripheral wall 16a is connected to the cylindrical member 12 in the axial direction by a concave-convex fit. An O-ring seals the axial space between the large inner diameter peripheral wall 16a and the cylindrical member 12. The inner diameter of the large inner diameter peripheral wall 16a is approximately the same as the inner diameter of the cylindrical member 12.
[0078] A communication passage 16c is formed radially penetrating the outer diameter side cylindrical portion 16. The communication passage 16c is located at the lower end of the housing 10, approximately in the axial center thereof. An external tank-side flow passage Pt, which is connected to the tank 3, is connected to the communication passage 16c.
[0079] The outer diameter side cylindrical portion 16 and the inner diameter side cylindrical portion 17 are connected by two connecting portions 17a arranged in the circumferential direction. The inner diameter side cylindrical portion 17 includes a large diameter cylindrical portion 17b connected to the connecting portion 17a, a medium diameter cylindrical portion 17c continuing from the large diameter cylindrical portion 17b on the left side, and a small diameter cylindrical portion 17d continuing from the medium diameter cylindrical portion 17c on the left side.
[0080] The two connecting portions 17a are quarter-arc shaped in the axial direction and protrude radially inward from the inner circumferential surface of the small-inner-diameter peripheral wall 16b, and are provided on one radial side and the other radial side. Note that only one connecting portion 17a is shown in Fig. 1.
[0081] The large-diameter cylindrical portion 17b is cylindrical and extends axially rightward from the inner diameter side of the right end of each connecting portion 17a. The outer circumferential surface of the large-diameter cylindrical portion 17b is located radially inward of the inner circumferential surface of the small-diameter peripheral wall 16b.
[0082] Two axially penetrating communication passages 17e are formed between the first connecting portion 17a and the second connecting portion 17a in the circumferential direction and between the small inner diameter peripheral wall 16b and the large diameter cylindrical portion 17b in the radial direction. These communication passages 17e are part of the first space S1.
[0083] The medium diameter cylindrical portion 17c is formed in a cylindrical shape extending axially leftward from the inner diameter side of the left end of the large diameter cylindrical portion 17b. The outer diameter of the medium diameter cylindrical portion 17c is smaller than the outer diameter of the large diameter cylindrical portion 17b.
[0084] The small diameter cylindrical portion 17d is formed in a cylindrical shape extending axially leftward from the radial center of the left end of the medium diameter cylindrical portion 17c. The outer diameter of the small diameter cylindrical portion 17d is smaller than the outer diameter of the medium diameter cylindrical portion 17c.
[0085] A bearing 71 is fitted and fixed inside the small diameter cylindrical portion 17d. The bearing 71 is fitted and fixed inside a portion of the body portion 21 of the rotary shaft 20 that is slightly to the right of the axial center.
[0086] A rotor-side refrigerant storage member 90 is fixed to the large-diameter cylindrical portion 17b. The rotor-side refrigerant storage member 90, together with the rotating shaft 20 and the mechanical seal 60, defines a third space S3 inside the rotor-side refrigerant storage member 90 that is sealed from the first space S1.
[0087] The rotor-side refrigerant storage member 90 is composed of a stepped cylindrical member 91 having a flange, and a lid member 92 having a flange.
[0088] The flange of the stepped cylindrical member 91 is fixed to the right side of the large-diameter cylindrical portion 17b. An O-ring seals the gap between the large-diameter cylindrical portion 17b and the flange. The body portion 21 of the rotating shaft 20 is inserted into the stepped cylindrical member 91 on the inner diameter side.
[0089] The gap between the stepped cylindrical member 91 and the body portion 21 of the rotary shaft 20 is sealed by a mechanical seal 60. This mechanical seal 60 separates the first space S1 from the third space S3.
[0090] The mechanical seal 60 is mainly composed of a stationary seal ring 61 , a rotary seal ring 62 , a plurality of springs 63 , and a retainer 64 .
[0091] The stationary seal ring 61 is formed in an annular shape and is inserted into the peripheral wall of the stepped cylindrical member 91. The body portion 21 of the rotating shaft 20 is inserted into the inner diameter side of the stationary seal ring 61. An O-ring seals the radial space between the peripheral wall of the stepped cylindrical member 91 and the stationary seal ring 61 while allowing axial movement.
[0092] A plurality of springs 63 are disposed axially between the side wall of the stepped cylindrical member 91 and the stationary seal ring 61. The springs 63 bias the stationary seal ring 61 toward the rotary seal ring 62.
[0093] The rotary seal ring 62 is fitted and fixed to the outside of the body portion 21 of the rotary shaft 20, and its relative rotation with respect to the rotary shaft 20 is restricted. The rotary seal ring 62 is prevented from coming off by a retainer 64. An O-ring seals the gap between the rotary seal ring 62 and the body portion 21.
[0094] A flange of the lid member 92 is fixed to the right end of the stepped cylindrical member 91. An O-ring seals the space between the stepped cylindrical member 91 and the lid member 92. The space defined by the stepped cylindrical member 91 and the lid member 92 is a third space S3.
[0095] A rotor-side communication passage 92a that penetrates the flange in the radial direction is formed in the cover member 92. The rotor-side communication passage 92a communicates with the third space S3.
[0096] A port in the rotor-side communication passage 92a that opens toward the outer diameter side is hermetically connected to a tip connector 93a of a pipe 93 that is connected to an external rotor-side flow passage Pr, as shown by a dashed line.
[0097] The cylindrical member 14 includes a large inner diameter peripheral wall 14a, a medium inner diameter peripheral wall 14b, and a small inner diameter peripheral wall 14c. When viewed axially, the large inner diameter peripheral wall 14a, the medium inner diameter peripheral wall 14b, and the small inner diameter peripheral wall 14c have a generally rectangular outer surface and a cylindrical inner surface. The inner diameter of the large inner diameter peripheral wall 14a is larger than the inner diameter of the medium inner diameter peripheral wall 14b. The inner diameter of the medium inner diameter peripheral wall 14b is larger than the inner diameter of the small inner diameter peripheral wall 14c.
[0098] The large inner diameter peripheral wall 14a is axially connected to the outer diameter side cylindrical portion 16. An O-ring seals the axial space between the large inner diameter peripheral wall 14a and the outer diameter side cylindrical portion 16. The inner diameter of the large inner diameter peripheral wall 14a is smaller than the inner diameter of the small inner diameter peripheral wall 16b of the outer diameter side cylindrical portion 16.
[0099] A through-hole 14d that passes radially through the large inner diameter peripheral wall 14a is formed in the cylindrical member 14. The pipe 93 is connected to the inside and outside of the housing 10 through this through-hole 14d. The space between the pipe 93 and the cylindrical member 14 is sealed by a connector 93b.
[0100] The heat exchanger 15 is mainly composed of a plate portion 15a that covers the opening of the cylindrical member 14, a plurality of vertically oriented fins 15b, and horizontally oriented fins 15c. The plate portion 15a is fixed with bolts to the right end of the cylindrical member 14. The gap between the plate portion 15a and the cylindrical member 14 is sealed with a gasket.
[0101] The space defined by the plate portion 15a, the tubular member 14, the stepped cylindrical member 91, and the lid member 92 is a part of the first space S1.
[0102] The vertically oriented fins 15b are inserted inward from the small inner diameter peripheral wall 14c. That is, the vertically oriented fins 15b are arranged in the first space S1. The horizontally oriented fins 15c are arranged in the outer space S4.
[0103] The rotary shaft 20 has a stepped cylindrical body portion 21 extending in the axial direction, and a flange 22 extending radially outward from a position slightly left of the axial center of the body portion 21.
[0104] The right axial end of the body 21 is disposed within the third space S3, and the left axial end of the body 21 protrudes outward to the left of the housing 10 and is disposed in the outer space S4.
[0105] 2, the body portion 21 has a main flow passage 23 recessed axially leftward from its right axial end face and open axially rightward. That is, the main flow passage 23 communicates with the third space S3. The left end of the main flow passage 23 extends to the radial center of the flange 22.
[0106] 2 and 4, eight branch flow paths 24 are equally spaced on the flange 22. The branch flow paths 24 are connected to the left end of the main flow path 23, extend in the radial direction, i.e., in the outer diameter direction, and are open toward the outer diameter side. The outer diameter end of each branch flow path 24 is closed with a cap 25.
[0107] 2, the flange 22 is formed with through holes 26 that communicate with the inner diameter side of the caps 25 at the outer diameter ends of the branch flow paths 24, extend axially rightward, and are open axially rightward. That is, eight through holes 26 are equally spaced (see FIG. 4). A rotor-side nozzle 94 is fitted and fixed in each through hole 26 in a sealed manner.
[0108] 1, the rotor-side nozzle 94 has a flow path 94a that communicates with the branch flow path 24, and a flow path 94b that is located axially to the right of the flow path 94a and has a smaller flow path cross-sectional area than the flow path 94a, and the right end of the flow path 94b is an injection port 94c. The axial centers of the flow paths 94a and 94b and the axial center of the injection port 94c are approximately coaxial and approximately parallel to the axial center of the rotating shaft 20.
[0109] 1 and 3, the rotor 30 is fitted and fixed to the outside of the body portion 21 of the rotary shaft 20 at the center in the axial direction.
[0110] The rotor 30 is mainly composed of a cylindrical base material 31 and eight plate-shaped permanent magnets 32 embedded in the base material 31. The permanent magnets 32 are evenly spaced.
[0111] Furthermore, eight through holes 33 that penetrate the base material 31 in the axial direction are equally spaced apart. Permanent magnets 32 are embedded on the outer diameter side of the through holes 33.
[0112] 1 and 3, the injection port 94c of the rotor-side nozzle 94 is disposed facing the through-hole 33. More specifically, the injection port 94c of the rotor-side nozzle 94 overlaps with the through-hole 33 when viewed in the axial direction.
[0113] Furthermore, the right end of the rotor-side nozzle 94 abuts against the left end of the base material 31. In other words, the injection port 94c is directly connected to the through-hole 33. The right end of the rotor-side nozzle 94 may be slightly spaced from the left end of the rotor 30. Furthermore, since the connection is made by abutting the end faces, relative movement in the radial direction between the rotor-side nozzle 94 and the coil 43 is permitted.
[0114] Furthermore, the outer peripheral surface of the base material 31 is disposed radially spaced apart from the inner peripheral surface of the inner cylinder 46 of the stator 40. In other words, an annular gap Ss is left radially between the rotor 30 and the stator 40. This prevents the rotor 30 from coming into contact with the stator 40 during rotation.
[0115] Next, cooling of the rotating electrical machine 1 will be described. To cool the rotating electrical machine 1, the pump 2 is operated to send the coolant in the tank 3 to the pump-side flow path Pp. The coolant has a boiling point of about 50°C and an insulation resistance of about 10°C. 9 The fluorine-based inert liquid is an insulator having a resistance of Ωm, and is in a liquid state when pumped out from the pump 2. In the following description, the fluorine-based inert liquid in a liquid state will be referred to as a liquid refrigerant, and the fluorine-based inert liquid in a gas state will be referred to as a gas refrigerant.
[0116] The type of refrigerant must have a boiling point of 100 degrees or less and an insulation resistance of 10 8 Any insulator that has a resistance of Ωm or more and does not or does not easily react chemically with the steel members of the rotating electrical machine 1 may be used as appropriate.
[0117] Furthermore, it is preferable that the boiling point of the refrigerant is higher than room temperature and lower than the temperature of the heating element, i.e., the temperature of the components that make up the rotating electrical machine, so a temperature range of 50 to 70 degrees is particularly preferable.
[0118] In the present invention, the normal temperature is defined as "a range of 20°C ± 15°C (5 to 35°C)" according to the Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS Z 8703).
[0119] The liquid refrigerant delivered to the pump-side flow path Pp is distributed to the stator-side flow path Ps and the rotor-side flow path Pr. A flow dividing valve may be provided downstream of the pump-side flow path Pp to adjust the amount of liquid refrigerant flowing into the stator-side flow path Ps and the rotor-side flow path Pr. Alternatively, a pump that delivers liquid refrigerant to the stator-side flow path Ps and a pump that delivers liquid refrigerant to the rotor-side flow path Pr may be provided separately.
[0120] The liquid refrigerant that has flowed into the stator-side flow passage Ps is supplied to the second space S2 through the stator-side communication passage 11c and sprayed from the injection ports 84c of the stator-side nozzles 84.
[0121] As the mist-like liquid refrigerant passes through the gap 48, it adheres to the bobbin 42 and the coil 43 that define the slot 47 and vaporizes, thereby cooling the stator core 41, the bobbin 42, and the coil 43. In other words, the stator 40 can be cooled.
[0122] After passing through the gap 48, the vaporized gas refrigerant moves toward the heat exchanger 15 through the communication passage 17e.
[0123] Furthermore, referring to FIG. 1, the liquid refrigerant that has not vaporized is more likely to be discharged toward the communicating passage 17e than through the gap Ss because the gap 48 extends axially to the right of the rotor 30 and the liquid refrigerant is sequentially injected from the stator-side nozzle 84.
[0124] The liquid refrigerant that has flowed into the rotor-side flow path Pr is supplied to the third space S3 through the rotor-side communication path 92a. Next, the liquid refrigerant is distributed to the eight branch flow paths 24 through the main flow path 23 and sprayed from the outlets 94c of the rotor-side nozzles 94. Because the outlets 94c are directly connected to the through-holes 33 in the rotor 30, almost the entire amount of the mist-like liquid refrigerant sprayed from the outlets 94c is supplied to the through-holes 33.
[0125] Here, when the rotating shaft 20 rotates, the rotor 30 fixed to the rotating shaft 20 and each rotor-side nozzle 94 rotate together, so that the liquid refrigerant can be injected accurately from the injection port 94c into the through hole 33.
[0126] When passing through the through-holes 33, the mist-like liquid refrigerant adheres to the substrate 31 defining the through-holes 33 and evaporates, thereby cooling the substrate 31 and the permanent magnets 32. In other words, the rotor 30 can be cooled.
[0127] Since the liquid refrigerant is successively injected from the rotor-side nozzle 94, the vaporized gas refrigerant passes through the through-hole 33 and then easily moves toward the heat exchanger 15 through the communication passage 17e.
[0128] Furthermore, the liquid refrigerant that has not vaporized is sequentially ejected from the rotor-side nozzle 94, and is therefore more likely to be discharged toward the communication passage 17e than toward the gap Ss.
[0129] In the heat exchanger 15, the horizontal fins 15c are cooled by a fluid such as the atmosphere in the external space S4, and thus the vertical fins 15b are also cooled through the plate portions 15a. The liquid refrigerant cooled and condensed by the vertical fins 15b adheres to the vertical fins 15b, and when it becomes granular in size, it flows along the vertical fins 15b.
[0130] The liquid refrigerant dripping from the vertically oriented fins 15b flows into the tank-side flow path Pt through the communicating passages 16c and is discharged into the tank 3. That is, the liquid refrigerant that has passed through the rotating electric machine 1 is stored in the tank 3. The inner diameter of the housing 10 increases as it moves away from the vertically oriented fins 15b toward the communicating passages 16c. In this embodiment, the inner diameters increase in the order of the small inner diameter peripheral wall 14c, the medium inner diameter peripheral wall 14b, and the large inner diameter peripheral wall 14a, making it easier to guide the liquid refrigerant into the communicating passages 16c.
[0131] On the other hand, a portion of the refrigerant that does not pass through the gap 48 or the through hole 33 in the axial direction and flows out from the left axial end of the gap 48 or the through hole 33 flows into the tank side flow path Pt through the connecting passage 11d and is discharged into the tank 3.
[0132] As described above, in the rotating electrical machine 1 of this embodiment, the refrigerant injected from the stator-side nozzle 84 is guided along the gap 48 in the stator 40, so it is possible to reduce the amount of refrigerant that flows into the gap Ss between the rotor 30 and the stator 40. This makes it possible to cool the stator 40 while maintaining the rotational force of the rotor 30.
[0133] Furthermore, because the injection port 84c of the stator-side nozzle 84 overlaps with the gap 48 in the axial direction, the refrigerant is injected from the left to the right in the axial direction of the gap 48. This makes it possible to further reduce the amount of refrigerant that flows into the gap Ss between the rotor 30 and the stator 40.
[0134] Furthermore, since the outlet 84c is directly connected to the gap 48, almost the entire amount of the mist-like liquid refrigerant sprayed from the outlet 84c is supplied to the gap 48. This makes it possible to further reduce the amount of refrigerant that flows into the gap Ss between the rotor 30 and the stator 40.
[0135] Furthermore, since the inner peripheral side of the gap 48 is partitioned by the inner cylinder 46, the amount of refrigerant flowing into the gap Ss between the rotor 30 and the stator 40 can be further reduced.
[0136] Furthermore, since the heat exchanger 15 is disposed on the opposite side of the stator 40 from the stator-side nozzles 84, the refrigerant that has passed through the gaps 48 can be efficiently collected. This further reduces the amount of refrigerant that flows into the gaps Ss between the rotor 30 and the stator 40.
[0137] The refrigerant must have a boiling point of 100°C or less and an insulation resistance of 10 8 Since the resistance is Ωm or more, not only can the cooling efficiency of the stator 40 be improved, but the rotational force of the rotor 30 can be maintained more reliably.
[0138] Furthermore, since twelve stator-side nozzles 84 are provided, which is the same number as the gaps 48, the cooling efficiency of the stator 40 can be improved.
[0139] Furthermore, since each stator-side nozzle 84 is connected to a flow path extending from the common second space S2, the refrigerant can be supplied to each stator-side nozzle 84 approximately evenly.
[0140] Furthermore, since the injection port 84c of the stator-side nozzle 84 is aligned with the gap 48, the injected refrigerant is prevented from excessively adhering to the vicinity of the injection port 84c of the coil 43, etc. This makes it easier to supply the mist-like refrigerant throughout the axial direction of the gap 48.
[0141] Furthermore, in the rotating electrical machine 1 of this embodiment, the coolant injected from the rotor-side nozzles 94 is guided along the through holes 33 in the rotor 30, thereby reducing the amount of coolant that flows into the gap Ss between the rotor 30 and the stator 40. This allows the rotor 30 to be cooled while maintaining its rotational force.
[0142] Furthermore, because the injection port 94c of the rotor-side nozzle 94 overlaps with the through-hole 33 in the axial direction, the refrigerant is injected from the left to the right in the axial direction of the through-hole 33. This makes it possible to further reduce the amount of refrigerant that flows into the gap Ss between the rotor 30 and the stator 40.
[0143] Furthermore, since the outlet 94c is directly connected to the through-hole 33, almost the entire amount of the mist-like liquid refrigerant sprayed from the outlet 94c is supplied to the through-hole 33. This makes it possible to further reduce the amount of refrigerant that flows into the gap Ss between the rotor 30 and the stator 40.
[0144] Furthermore, since the inner peripheral side of the gap 48 is partitioned by the inner cylinder 46, the amount of refrigerant flowing into the gap Ss between the rotor 30 and the stator 40 can be further reduced.
[0145] Furthermore, since the heat exchanger 15 is disposed on the opposite side of the rotor 30 from the rotor-side nozzles 94, the refrigerant that has passed through the through holes 33 can be efficiently collected. This further reduces the amount of refrigerant that flows into the gap Ss between the rotor 30 and the stator 40.
[0146] The refrigerant must have a boiling point of 100°C or less and an insulation resistance of 10 8 Since the resistance is Ωm or more, not only can the cooling efficiency of the rotor 30 be improved, but the rotational force of the rotor 30 can be maintained more reliably.
[0147] Furthermore, since eight rotor-side nozzles 94 are provided, which is the same number as the through holes 33, the cooling efficiency of the rotor 30 can be improved.
[0148] In addition, the flow paths 23, 24 to which the rotor side nozzle 94 is connected are the main flow path 23 that extends axially within the rotating shaft 20 and the branch flow path 24 that branches off from the main flow path 23 and extends radially, so the rotating shaft 20 can also be cooled by the refrigerant.
[0149] Furthermore, since the rotor-side nozzles 94 are connected to the flow paths 23 and 24 extending from the rotary shaft 20 , the refrigerant can be supplied to each rotor-side nozzle 94 approximately evenly.
[0150] In addition, since a mechanical seal 60 is arranged between the housing 10 and the rotating shaft 20, a third space S3 can be formed between the housing 10, which is a stationary member, and the rotating shaft 20, which is a rotating member, for supplying refrigerant to each rotor-side nozzle 94.
[0151] Furthermore, in the rotating electrical machine 1 of this embodiment, the refrigerant injected from the stator-side nozzles 84 is guided along the gaps 48 in the stator 40, and the refrigerant injected from the rotor-side nozzles 94 is guided along the through holes 33 in the rotor 30, so it is possible to reduce the amount of refrigerant that flows into the gaps Ss between the rotor 30 and the stator 40. This makes it possible to cool the rotor 30 and the stator 40 while maintaining the rotational force of the rotor 30.
[0152] Furthermore, since the coolant supply flow paths for the rotor-side nozzle 94 and the stator-side nozzle 84 are separate, the coolant can be stably supplied to each of the rotor-side nozzle 94 and the stator-side nozzle 84 .
[0153] Furthermore, since the permanent magnets 32 provided on the rotor 30 are located on the outer diameter side of the through holes 33 in the rotor 30, they are cooled not only by the refrigerant passing through the through holes 33 but also by the refrigerant passing through the gaps 48.
[0154] Furthermore, since the rotor-side nozzles 94 and the stator-side nozzles 84 are arranged facing the same direction, the temperature difference between the rotor 30 and the stator 40 in the radial direction can be reduced.
[0155] Furthermore, since the heat exchanger 15 is installed on the opposite side of the rotor side nozzle 94 and the stator side nozzle 84 across the rotor 30 and the stator 40, the structure can be simplified while efficiently condensing the gas refrigerant.
[0156] In addition, the refrigerant that has passed through the gap 48 and the through-holes 33 can be efficiently collected. This further reduces the amount of refrigerant that flows into the gap Ss between the rotor 30 and the stator 40.
[0157] The liquid refrigerant injected from the stator-side nozzle 84 is in the form of a mist, and therefore is more easily vaporized than when the liquid refrigerant is continuously injected in liquid form or when the liquid refrigerant is injected in liquid form, thereby achieving high cooling efficiency.
[0158] Furthermore, since the boiling point of the refrigerant is slightly higher than room temperature, even if the fluid passing through the outer space S4 is atmospheric air, it can be condensed by heat exchange.
[0159] Furthermore, since the housing 10 is also disposed in the external space S4 other than the heat exchanger 15, the refrigerant can be condensed by being cooled by the fluid in the external space S4.
[0160] Furthermore, since the stator-side nozzle 84 is configured to be fitted and fixed into the through-hole 83a formed in the stator-side refrigerant storage member 81, it is possible to easily change the nozzle according to the application, and it is possible to improve economy and ease of assembly by replacing only the nozzle. The same applies to the rotor-side nozzle 94.
[0161] Second Embodiment Next, a rotating electrical machine according to a second embodiment will be described with reference to Fig. 5. Note that a description of the same configuration as in the previous embodiment will be omitted.
[0162] As shown in FIG. 5, in the rotating electrical machine 101 of the second embodiment, the injection port 184c of the stator-side nozzle 184 is disposed in a direction perpendicular to the gap 148 in the stator 140 that extends in the axial direction.
[0163] More specifically, the stator side nozzle 184 is hermetically fitted into a through hole that penetrates radially through the cylindrical material 112 in the housing 110, a through hole that penetrates radially through the yoke 144 in the stator 140, and a through hole that penetrates radially through the outer tube 145 in the stator 140.
[0164] Each stator-side nozzle 184 is connected to one of the stator-side flow paths Ps branching off from the pump-side flow path Pp.
[0165] The liquid refrigerant injected from the injection port 184c is distributed to the left and right axial sides of the gap 148. In addition, since the injection port 184c is directly connected to the axial center of the gap 148, the amount of refrigerant distributed to the left and right axial sides of the gap 148 is approximately the same.
[0166] The injection port 194c of the rotor-side nozzle 194 is disposed in a direction perpendicular to the through-hole 133 in the rotor 130 that extends in the axial direction.
[0167] More specifically, the rotor-side nozzle 194 is fitted in a sealed manner into a recess that is recessed radially outward from the inner circumferential surface of the base 131 of the rotor 130 and communicates with the through-hole 133 .
[0168] Further, a main flow path 123 and each branch flow path 124 are formed in a body portion 121 of the rotary shaft 120 so as to communicate with the rotor-side nozzle 194 .
[0169] The liquid refrigerant injected from the injection port 194c is distributed to the left and right axial sides of the through-hole 133. In addition, since the injection port 194c is directly connected to the axial center of the through-hole 133, the amount of refrigerant distributed to the left and right axial sides of the gap 148 is approximately the same.
[0170] The refrigerant discharged from the axial left side of the gap 148 or the axial left side of the through-hole 133 flows into the tank-side flow path Pt through the communication passage 11d and is discharged into the tank 3. In order to efficiently condense the refrigerant discharged from the communication passage 11d, a heat exchanger other than the heat exchanger 15 may be provided between the communication passage 11d and the tank 3, or a heat exchanger may be provided in a part of the lid member 11.
