Description

Mold device

[0001] One embodiment of the present disclosure relates to a mold device, for example, a mold device including two or more slide cores.

[0002] Injection molding may be a method of manufacturing an injection-molded product having a shape corresponding to the molding space by injecting molten material into a molding space (e.g., a cavity) formed by combining multiple (e.g., two or more) cores. Injection molding may be performed using a molding device configured to form a cavity and an injection device that injects molten material into the cavity.

[0003] As the structure of the molded part becomes more complex, multiple slide cores may be used. The slide cores may be moved by hydraulic and / or mechanical mechanisms, inserted into the cavity while the mold is closed to form an undercut, and separated from the molded part when the mold is ejected.

[0004] Typically, when using slide cores in molding equipment, foreign matter such as parting lines can form at the boundaries between adjacent slide cores or between the slide core and the plate. Therefore, extensive research is being conducted on methods to minimize parting lines to improve the appearance of injection-molded products and minimize post-processing.

In the mold opening state, the first locking surface (112b) and the second locking surface (122b) may be partially spaced apart from each other. In the mold opening state, the recessed surface (112a) and the protruding surface (122a) may be spaced apart from each other.

[0079] According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, in the mold device, in the mold opening state, the first locking surface (112b) can maintain contact with the second locking surface (122b). When the first slide core (11) and the second slide core (12) move within their respective strokes, at least a portion of the first locking surface (112b) can contact at least a portion of the second locking surface (122b). Accordingly, the second slide core (12) can stably move the first slide core (11) in the first direction (-x direction).

[0080] According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, in the mold device, when the mold is opened, the first locking surface (112b) and the second locking surface (122b) are in contact with each other, so that the first slide core (11) and the second slide core (12) can move relative to each other in the direction in which the first locking surface (112b) and the second locking surface (122b) extend.

[0081] According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, in the mold device, in the mold opening state, the width of the first locking surface (112b) and the second locking surface (122b) may be greater than the stroke of the first slide core (11) and the second slide core (12). As an example, the width of the first locking surface (112b) and the second locking surface (122b) may be greater than the sum of the square of the stroke of the first slide core (11) and the square of the stroke of the second slide core.

[0082] According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, in a mold device, in a closed state, a first contact portion (112) and a second contact portion (122) can be in contact with each other and locked. In the closed state, a first sealing surface (112c) and a second sealing surface (122c) can be in contact with each other. In the closed state, a first locking surface (112b) and a second locking surface (122b) can be in contact with each other. In the closed state, a recessed surface (112a) and a protruding surface (122a) can be in contact with each other. Therefore, due to the locking structure between the first contact portion (112) and the second contact portion (122), a step can be suppressed from occurring at the boundary between two adjacent cavity portions (117, 127) due to a molten, high-temperature material.

[0083] According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, a hydraulic cylinder may be used as the forward and backward movement means of the slide core (11, 12, 13, 14), or a gear module composed of a rack gear and a pinion gear may be used. According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, the forward and backward movement means mechanism of the slide core is not limited thereto.

Accordingly, the first contact portion (2112) and the second contact portion (2122) may be locked to each other.

[0107] FIG. 7 is an enlarged view of a portion of a mold device according to one embodiment of the present disclosure, showing a first contact portion (3112) and a second contact portion (3122).

[0108] The description of the components (body (111, 121), sealing surface (115, 125), cavity portion (117, 127)) described with reference to FIG. 3 can be equally applied to the components of the same name (body (111`, 121`), sealing surface (115`, 125`), cavity portion (3117, 3127)) depicted in FIG. 7. Hereinafter, the first contact portion (3112) and the second contact portion (3122) will be described in detail.

[0109] Referring to FIG. 7, according to one embodiment of the present disclosure, a first contact portion (3112) may include a first sealing surface (3112c) connected to a first cavity portion (3117). A first inner edge (3112d) may form a boundary between the first cavity portion (3117) and the first sealing surface (3112c). The first sealing surface (3112c) may extend from the first inner edge (3112d).

[0110] According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, the first contact portion (3112) may include a recessed surface (3112a) spaced inwardly from the first sealing surface (3112c) of the first slide core (11). The recessed surface (3112a) may extend from a first outer edge (3112e) forming an edge of the first contact portion (3112).

[0111] According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, the first contact portion (3112) may include a first locking surface (3112b) connecting the first sealing surface (3112c) and the recessed surface (3112a). The first locking surface (3112b) may extend from the first sealing surface (3112c) toward the interior of the first slide core (11).

[0112] According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, the second contact portion (3122) may include a second sealing surface (3122c) connected to a second cavity portion (3127). A second inner edge (3122d) may form a boundary between the second cavity portion (3127) and the second sealing surface (3122c). The second sealing surface (3122c) may extend from the second inner edge (3122d).

[0113] According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, the second contact portion (3122) may include a protruding surface (3122a) spaced outwardly from the second sealing surface (3122c) of the second slide core (12). The protruding surface (3122a) may extend from a second outer edge (3122e) forming an edge of the second contact portion (3122).

[0114] According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, the second contact portion (3122) may include a second locking surface (3122b) connecting the second sealing surface (3122c) and the protruding surface (3122a). The second locking surface (3122b) may extend from the second sealing surface (3122c) toward the exterior of the second slide core (12). The second locking surface (3122b) may extend substantially parallel to the first locking surface (3112b).

[0115] According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, the first locking surface (3112b) and the recessed surface (3112a) may form a recessed portion recessed from the first sealing surface (3112c). The second locking surface (3122b) and the protruding surface (3122a) may form a protruding portion protruding from the second sealing surface (3122c) and inserted into the recessed portion. The second locking surface (3122b) may extend obliquely with respect to the second direction (-y direction), which is the moving direction of the second slide core (12).

[0117] According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, since the contact between the first locking surface (3112b) and the second locking surface (3122b) that are parallel to each other is maintained, the first slide core (11) and the second slide core (12) can move relative to each other in the direction in which the first locking surface (3112b) and the second locking surface (3122b) extend.

[0118] According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, the angle at which the first locking surface (3112b) and the second locking surface (3122b) are inclined with respect to the first direction (-x direction) may be different from the angle at which they are inclined with respect to the second direction (-y direction). Accordingly, the distances at which the first slide core (11) and the second slide core (12) advance and retreat may be different from each other.

[0119] As an example, FIG. 7 illustrates a case where the angle at which the first locking surface (3112b) and the second locking surface (3122b) are inclined with respect to the first direction (-x direction) is smaller than the angle at which the first locking surface (3112b) is inclined with respect to the second direction (-y direction). Referring to FIG. 7, when the second slide core (12) moves in the second direction (-y direction) by a first distance (l1), the first slide core (11) can move in the first direction (-x direction) by a second distance (l2) that is longer than the first distance (l1). That is, the stroke of the first slide core (11) can be longer than the stroke of the second slide core (12). Therefore, the stroke ratios of the two adjacent slide cores (11, 12) can be set differently.

[0145] According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, the outer lateral surface of the lower part (421) can be inclined with respect to the movement direction (z-axis direction) of the locking block (40). The outer lateral surface of the lower part (421) can be inclined at a predetermined angle (a) with respect to the movement direction (e.g., x-axis direction or y-axis direction) of the plurality of slide cores (11, 12, 13, 14).

[0146] According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, the outer surface of the lower part (421) can be fitted to the mating surface (118, 128, 138, 148) of the slide core (11, 12, 13, 14). The mating surface (118, 128, 138, 148) of the slide core (11, 12, 13, 14) can have a shape corresponding to the outer surface of the lower part (421).

[0147] According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, the lower part (421) may include a hole (43). The washer (41) may be disposed between one surface of the mold plate (20) and the body (42), and one side of the washer (41) may be supported by the one surface of the mold plate (20) and the other side of the washer (42). As an example, the washer (41) may be a spring washer. The screw (451) may be brought into close contact with the fastening surface (25, see FIGS. 14 and 15) of the mold plate (20) by the washer (41).

[0149] FIG. 14 is a cross-sectional view of a portion of a mold device in an open state according to one embodiment of the present disclosure. FIG. 15 is a cross-sectional view of a portion of a mold device in a closed state according to one embodiment of the present disclosure.

[0150] Hereinafter, with reference to FIGS. 14 and 15, the first slide core (11) is moved forward by the locking block (40). However, this description can be equally applied to the second slide core (12), the third slide core (13), and the fourth slide core (14) being moved forward by the locking block (40).

[0151] Referring to FIGS. 14 and 15, a mold device according to one embodiment of the present disclosure may include a first mold plate (30) and a second mold plate (20) facing each other. The first mold plate (30) and the second mold plate (20) may be referred to as, but are not limited to, a core plate, a cavity plate, a bottom plate, a top plate, etc.

[0152] According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, the first mold plate (30) and the second mold plate (20) can move relative to each other to move away from or closer to each other. The first mold plate (30) and the second mold plate (20) can be spaced apart from each other in the mold-opened state to open the cavity (C). The first mold plate (30) and the second mold plate (20) can contact each other in the mold-closed state to seal the cavity (C).

[0153] According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, a plurality of slide cores (11, 12, 13, 14) may be movably arranged on one of two mold plates (20, 30) facing each other. As an example, FIGS. 14 and 15 illustrate a case where a plurality of slide cores (11, 12, 13, 14) are movably arranged on a first mold plate (30) and a locking block (40) is arranged on a second mold plate (20). However, unlike as illustrated in FIGS. 14 and 15, it is of course possible for a locking block (40) to be arranged on the first mold plate (30) and a plurality of slide cores (11, 12, 13, 14) to be movably arranged on the second mold plate (20).

[0154] According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, the first mold plate (30) may include a first cavity portion (31) configured to form a cavity (C), a first sealing surface (32) connected to the first cavity portion (31) and in contact with the slide core (11). The second mold plate (20) may include a second cavity portion (21) facing the first cavity portion (31) and configured to form a cavity (C), and a second sealing surface (22) connected to the second cavity portion (21) and in contact with the slide core (11).

[0155] According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, the first sealing surface (32) may extend from the periphery of the first cavity portion (31). The second sealing surface (22) may extend from the periphery of the second cavity portion (21). The first sealing surface (32) and the second sealing surface (22) may contact the sealing surfaces (115, 116) of the slide core (11) to seal the cavity (C).

[0156] According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, a plurality of slide cores (11, 12, 13, 14) may be arranged to surround a first cavity portion (31). A plurality of slide cores (11, 12, 13, 14) may be arranged to surround a second cavity portion (21). The cavity portions (117, 127, 137, 147) of the plurality of slide cores (11, 12, 13, 14) and the cavity portions (31, 21) of the first and second mold plates may form a cavity (C).

[0157] According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, a plurality of slide cores (11, 12, 13, 14) can move in a direction intersecting the moving direction (z-axis) of the mold plate (20, 30). As an example, the second mold plate (20) can move in the z-axis direction, and the plurality of slide cores (11, 12, 13, 14) can move in the x-axis and y-axis directions perpendicular to the z-axis direction.

[0158] According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, the first mold plate (30) may include a support surface (33) that supports an elastic member (119) and a rail (34) that forms a movement path of the slide core (11). The support surface (33) may face the slide core (11). The slide core (11) may move along the rail (34). The ribs (114, 124, 134, 144) of the slide cores (11, 12, 13, 14) are inserted into the rail (34), and the slide cores (11, 12, 13, 14) may move along the rail (34).

[0159] According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, the second mold plate (20) may include a fastening surface (25) to which a screw (451) of a locking block (40) is fastened, and a guide surface (26) that guides movement of the locking block (40). The fastening surface (25) may include a groove having a shape corresponding to the screw (451). The guide surface (26) may extend along the movement direction of the locking block (40). As an example, the guide surface (26) may extend in the z-axis direction.

[0160] According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, foreign matter such as a parting line may be formed on the injection-molded product (P) at least in one of the first boundary between the first slide core (11) and the second slide core (12) in contact with each other, the second boundary between the first slide core (11) and the mold plate (20, 30) in contact with each other, and the third boundary between the second slide core (12) and the mold plate (20, 30) in contact with each other due to thermal expansion of the mold device, accumulation of tolerance during the assembly process, or inaccurate position control.

[0161] If, unlike the mold device according to one embodiment of the present disclosure, two slide cores in contact with each other are not locked to each other, when one of the slide cores is moved to remove the step that occurred at the first boundary, a step may occur at the boundary between the one of the slide cores and the mold plate. As another example, when the slide core is moved to remove the step that occurred at the second boundary or the third boundary, a step may occur at the first boundary.

[0162] According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, since the first slide core (11) and the second slide core (12) are locked to each other and move forward simultaneously, in the process of removing a step generated at some of the first, second, and third boundaries, it is possible to prevent a step from occurring at another boundary.

[0163] According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, an elastic member (24) may be placed on a second mold plate (20). One side of the elastic member (24) may be supported by a support surface (23), and the other side may be in contact with a head (45) of a locking block (40). As an example, the elastic member (24) may be a spring. The elastic member (24) may provide elastic force to the head (45). The screw (451) may be brought into close contact with the groove formed in the fastening surface (25) by the elastic member (24).

[0164] A mold device according to one embodiment of the present disclosure may include a stopper (50) that restricts movement of a slide core (11). The stopper (50) may be located at the rear of the slide core (11). The stopper (50) may be fixed to a first mold plate (30). The stroke length of the slide core (11) may be determined by the position of the stopper (50).

[0165] According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, in the open state, the stopper (50) can contact each of the slide cores (11, 12, 13, 14). In the closed state, the stopper (50) can be spaced apart from the mating surfaces (118, 128, 138, 148) of each of the slide cores (11, 12, 13, 14).

[0166] According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, the slide core (11) may include an elastic member (119). The elastic member (119) may provide elastic force to the slide core (11). As an example, the elastic member (119) may be a spring whose one end is supported by the support surface (33) of the first mold plate (30) and whose other end is in contact with the slide core (11).

[0167] According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, the slide core (11) can be moved from a position in a closed state to a position in an open state by an elastic member (119). As an example, when the slide core (11) is to be retracted upward, an elastic force greater than the load of the slide core (11) due to gravity must be provided, and therefore, the elastic member (119) may be a heavy-duty spring.

[0168] According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, the elastic member (119) and the stopper (40) may be positioned at opposing positions with respect to the slide core (11). The slide core (11) retracted by the elastic member (119) may have its movement restricted by the stopper (40).

[0169] Fig. 16 is a cross-sectional view showing an increase in the stroke of a slide core through a locking block according to one embodiment of the present disclosure. Fig. 16 illustrates a portion of a mold device in a closed state.

[0170] Referring to FIGS. 15 and 16, according to one embodiment of the present disclosure, the locking block (40) can move in a direction intersecting the moving direction of the first slide core (11). As an example, the first slide core (11) can move (forward or backward) in the x-axis direction, and the locking block (40) can move (raise or lower) in the z-axis direction perpendicular to the x-axis direction.

[0171] According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, when the locking block (40) is lowered a predetermined distance (h1) in the -z direction with respect to the second mold plate (20), the first slide core (11) advances a predetermined distance (d1) in the -x direction, and the stroke of the first slide core (11) can increase by the predetermined distance (d1). Accordingly, a step that may occur at the boundary of the cavity portion (117) of the first slide core (11) can be minimized.

[0172] According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, the increase in the stroke of the first slide core (11) as the locking block (40) descends can be determined by the pitch of the screw (451), the gradient of the mating surface (118) of the first slide core (11), etc.

[0173] Fig. 17 is a cross-sectional view showing a stroke reduction of a slide core through a locking block according to one embodiment of the present disclosure. Fig. 17 illustrates a portion of a mold device in a closed state.

[0174] Referring to FIGS. 15 and 17, according to one embodiment of the present disclosure, the locking block (40) can move in a direction intersecting the moving direction of the first slide core (11). As an example, the first slide core (11) can move (forward or backward) in the x-axis direction, and the locking block (40) can move (raise or lower) in the z-axis direction perpendicular to the x-axis direction.

[0175] According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, when the locking block (40) is raised and lowered a predetermined distance (h2) in the +z direction with respect to the second mold plate (20), the first slide core (11) moves backward a predetermined distance (d2) in the +x direction, and the stroke of the first slide core (11) can be reduced by a predetermined distance (d2).

[0176] According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, the decrease in the stroke of the first slide core (11) as the locking block (40) is raised or lowered can be determined by the pitch of the screw (451), the gradient of the mating surface (118) of the first slide core (11), etc.

[0177] According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, FIGS. 15 to 17 only represent the first slide core (11) and the locking block (40), and the description regarding stroke adjustment of the first slide core (11) with reference to FIGS. 15 to 17 can be equally applied to the second, third, and fourth slide cores (12, 13, 14).

[0178] By injecting and hardening molten material in a closed mold state, a mark called a "parting line" may be created on the surface of the molded injection molded product, for example, at the boundary where the cores come into contact with each other. In addition, the parting line may become larger due to the injection pressure of the molten material, or foreign substances called "flash" or "burrs" may be created on the surface of the injection molded product. As the shape of the injection molded product to be manufactured becomes more complex, the number and distribution of parting lines (or the number of cores) may increase, and the possibility of foreign substances occurring on the surface of the injection molded product may increase in insert injection molding. In addition, a post-process may be performed to remove the parting line, flash, burrs, etc.

[0179] The present disclosure is intended to at least resolve the above-described problems and / or disadvantages and provide at least the advantages described below, and a problem to be solved in the present disclosure may be minimizing the occurrence of a step difference at the boundary between two adjacent slide cores due to a high-temperature molten material.
