Abstract
Description
[0001] Packaging for large appliances
[0002] The invention relates to packaging for large appliances, in particular for household appliances such as dishwashers, washing machines, tumble dryers, refrigeration appliances, cookers or the like.
[0003] Such packaging for large appliances must be capable of supporting the weight of heavy equipment in its base area while simultaneously protecting it from damage caused by external influences and forces. Furthermore, stacking multiple packages on top of each other is advantageous for space-saving reasons during storage or transport, which in turn places increased demands on the stability of the load-bearing parts of the packaging.
[0004] The document DE 102017 128206 A1 discloses packaging for large appliances, in particular for household appliances such as washing machines, tumble dryers, dishwashers, refrigerators, stoves, and the like. The packaging comprises a supporting frame, a base cushion arranged on the supporting frame, an upper lid part, and corner cushion parts, which can be placed at the corners of the appliance to be packaged and which form the vertical support elements of the packaging between the base cushion and the lid part. The lid part is designed as a cover cushion, which can be produced as a molded part from a polystyrene foam, and in an assembled state, the corner cushions are connected by their lower ends to the base cushion and by their upper ends to the cover cushion via positively engaging plug-in connection means.
[0005] The document DE 102006 041 855 A1 discloses a stackable transport packaging for large household appliances such as stoves, refrigerators, washing machines, dishwashers, or the like, which have a substantially rigid housing, with two lower frame elements arranged opposite one another on two sides of the household appliance, with two upper frame elements arranged opposite one another on the same sides of the household appliance and above the lower frame elements, with support supports for connecting the lower and upper frame elements, and with connecting supports for the height-adjustable fixation of the support supports. All packaging parts can be formed from a substantially rigid plastic in order to minimize the packaging material.Furthermore, the support supports and the connecting supports can also be made of metal in order to withstand the increased compressive load from above without damage and to provide a secure connection between the upper and lower frame elements.
[0006] The document DE 602005 002 787 T2 discloses a package for stretch-hood packaging of large household appliances, comprising a base shaped for at least either assembling a household appliance thereon or arranging the household appliance thereon after assembly, the package being packaged for shipping, the base having an upper surface for supporting the household appliance thereon and outer edge portions with a plurality of substantially L-shaped pockets located on top of the outer edge portions of the base, each pocket extending around the corners of the base; two vertically extending first posts, each having substantially L-shaped tabs on their undersides, which are received in a corresponding L-shaped pocket of the base at a corner location adjacent to the location where a pair of the front or rear corners of the appliance are to be received, wherein the first posts are shaped to abut vertically extending corners of the device along their length; two vertically extending second posts, each having substantially L-shaped tabs on their undersides which are received in a corresponding L-shaped pocket of the base at a corner location adjacent to where the other pair of front or rear corners of the device are to be located, the second posts being shaped to abut vertically extending corners of the device along their length; and wherein at least the second posts each have a vertically oriented horizontal extension running along the side of the device and spaced vertically a sufficient amount from an outer base edge portion to allow each of the second posts to pivot when the device is stretch-hood wrapped with a film hood in the package, whereby deformation of the base as a result of the device being stretch-hooded as a result of the pivoting posts is substantially prevented. The package may further include a device within the package and a film hood stretched thereover, the film hood extending approximately at least along the bottom corners of the base to hold the package together. Furthermore, the film hood may be made of polyethylene having a coefficient of friction on its inner side in the range of approximately 6 to approximately 6.5 and a coefficient of friction on its outer side in the range of approximately 4 to approximately 4.5 and / or formed of a film having a thickness in the range of approximately 90 microns. Furthermore, the base, the two vertically extending first posts and the two vertically extendingThe second post may be made of polystyrene. Furthermore, the polystyrene may be expanded polystyrene with shock-absorbing properties. Also, two of the posts may be arranged in a position where a door of the device is located in the package and may be made of expanded polystyrene with a density in the range of approximately 20 g / l and 30 g / l, and the base and the remaining posts may be made of expanded polystyrene with a density in the range of approximately 32 g / l.
[0007] Against this background, it is an object of the present invention to provide a simple and cost-effective packaging for large appliances, in particular for household appliances such as dishwashers, washing machines, tumble dryers, refrigeration appliances, cookers or the like, which meets the legal and operational requirements, in particular both present and future.
[0008] To achieve the object of the invention, a packaging for large appliances, in particular for household appliances such as dishwashers, washing machines, tumble dryers, refrigerators, cookers or the like, is proposed, comprising
[0009] - a tray which has upwardly projecting tabs with the formation of a preferably circumferential edge,
[0010] - a floor cushion which is arranged in the tub,
[0011] - at least two lateral clamp pads for counter-supporting clamp forces, which preferably consist of at least partially compressed honeycomb panels, which are preferably inserted into the base pad on the right and left sides, in particular in a form-fitting manner, and which preferably contact the large device on the inside,
[0012] - a roof cushion comprising a carrier plate with several downwardly projecting side flaps and shaped flaps, wherein several honeycomb cushions are attached, in particular glued, to the inside of the downwardly projecting side flaps, - at least one corner strip, preferably arranged at each vertical corner of the packaging, which extends from the bottom cushion to approximately the roof cushion and which preferably and at least partially consists of a fiber material, in particular wood or cardboard, and
[0013] - a film, in particular a shrink film or a stretch film, which forms an outer shell of the packaging at least in part.
[0014] The packaging according to the invention for large appliances, in particular for household appliances such as dishwashers, washing machines, tumble dryers, refrigeration appliances, stoves or the like, is therefore basically the largest possible EPS-free packaging, which meets the legal requirements and the operational requirements, such as transport guidelines, Amazon ISTA 6 and so on.
[0015] Thus, the packaging for large appliances according to the invention can be an essential component of a local, regional, national, and / or global sustainability strategy and represent a decisive factor in terms of market accessibility. It can also be part of a circular economy, facilitate the marketing of individual large appliances, and in certain cases even enable it, and significantly support and even shape the "green life" concept.
[0016] The packaging for large appliances according to the invention is characterized by packaging components that are essentially arranged on the top or bottom of the individual large appliance. This eliminates the need for large-area and, in particular, multi-layered packaging components, with their associated manufacturing and recycling costs, storage volume, and the like.
[0017] By combining the roof padding with the floor assembly, the familiar EPS corner padding can be completely eliminated. This means that the packaging components are no longer dependent on the device height, and variance is reduced by eliminating the corner padding.
[0018] Furthermore, the packaging for large appliances according to the invention features a reduced number of variants with associated advantages, such as lower complexity, significant cost savings, reduced storage diversity, and the like. The known packaging for large appliances according to the prior art has significantly more packaging parts, with correspondingly higher parts and storage costs.
[0019] The term "tub" refers to a generally flat, lidless container that serves to hold at least one element, component, assembly, and the like, whether solid or liquid. Within the scope of the present invention, the tub serves to hold the floor cushion.
[0020] In the present context, the tray can be, for example, a pure cardboard tray, e.g., made of corrugated cardboard, a cardboard tray, e.g., made of corrugated cardboard, with a coating, or a plastic tray. The coating can, in particular, be a preferably biodegradable coating that reduces, preferably significantly reduces, or in particular completely prevents, moisture absorption by the tray.
[0021] A "honeycomb panel," an abbreviation for a sandwich panel with a honeycomb core, is generally a three-layer composite construction in a sandwich design, consisting of two load-bearing cover skins and a honeycomb-shaped support core. The support core, also known as a honeycomb, adopts structural bionics and is made of resin-impregnated paper or cardboard. The cover skins can be made of cardboard. Various material combinations between the support core and cover skins are possible; the support core and skins are usually glued. A honeycomb panel with a support core made of paper or cardboard can be equipped to withstand loads of more than 50 tons per m 2 can be loaded. The cover skins can be made of natural wood, chipboard, or MDF.
[0022] The roof cushion's carrier plate can be made, at least partially or in part, of corrugated cardboard, also known as corrugated board in Switzerland. Corrugated cardboard is created by gluing together at least one smooth and one fluted paper sheet (single-sided or single-faced corrugated cardboard). Up to nine paper sheets are used to produce corrugated cardboard (multi-wall corrugated cardboard). The flute is its defining characteristic: Lightweight paper acquires extraordinary strength when it is corrugated or fluted and glued to smooth paper sheets to form a hollow volume. This creates a stable packaging material from a type of lightweight paper construction. Many different types of corrugated cardboard and corrugated cardboard packaging are produced depending on requirements and application.
[0023] Uneven deformation of individual floor cushions must generally be avoided to prevent the tilt of a stack of large equipment in logistics. It is known that excessive deformation of a floor cushion in some areas leads to a one-sided tilt of the stack of large equipment. For this reason, the geometry of the material at the contact surface between the floor cushion and the base support of the large equipment is preferably designed accordingly: To specifically weaken the material in this contact area, the material can be perforated on one side and compressed on the opposite side. This allows the base of the equipment base support to penetrate into the material, effectively preventing excessive force introduction in this area.
[0024] In a first preferred embodiment, it is provided that the floor cushion consists of a multi-layer assembly which comprises at least one contoured floor cushion base plate, preferably made of a non-compressed honeycomb cardboard, and which comprises at least one at least partially compressed upper floor cushion plate, the at least partial compressions of which have several, in particular three, different stages,
[0025] - wherein the first stage of compression serves to position and / or lock a base support of the large appliance, in particular the dishwasher, in the base cushion,
[0026] - the second stage of compression forming several damping areas, which ensure that during a drop test the acting forces are predominantly, preferably exclusively, introduced into the formed damping areas, and
[0027] - The third stage of compression creates multiple force flow zones, ensuring that during a drop test, the formed force flow zones are predominantly, preferably exclusively, involved in the force flow. Further embossing and / or punching may be required for the respective interfaces in the assembly process, for example, for the insertion of accessory components.
[0028] This combination of features offers the advantage of a one-piece construction of different functional areas, preferably in a single, at least partially compressed component, while achieving significant savings in material and weight. Furthermore, the base of the floor cushion can have a large recess. This combination of features also requires less handling of individual parts, which can sometimes be costly and demanding.
[0029] In a second preferred, preferably alternative embodiment to the first preferred embodiment, it is provided that the floor cushion consists of a multi-layer assembly which comprises at least one contoured floor cushion base plate preferably made of a non-compressed honeycomb cardboard and which comprises at least one upper floor cushion plate consisting of preferably differently contoured layer plates,
[0030] - wherein the first contoured layer plate serves to position and / or lock a base support of the large appliance, in particular the dishwasher, in the floor cushion,
[0031] - wherein the second contoured layer plate forms several damping areas, which ensure that during a drop test the acting forces are predominantly, preferably exclusively, introduced into the formed damping areas, and
[0032] - wherein the third contoured layer plate forms several force flow areas, which ensure that in a drop test predominantly, preferably exclusively, the formed force flow areas are involved in a force flow.
[0033] Of course, additional differently contoured layer plates, such as an additional plate or the like, can also be provided. Additional embossing and / or punching may be required for the respective interfaces in the assembly process, for example, for the insertion of accessory components.
[0034] This combination of features offers the advantage of multi-layered construction of different functional areas in several easy-to-manufacture and cost-effective components, preferably designed as differently contoured layered panels, while achieving significant savings in material and weight. Thus, in this preferred embodiment, the base of the floor cushion can also have a large-area recess. Furthermore, reduced complexity can be achieved due to the lack of variation between the layers. The tools required to implement this combination of features are also simpler, smaller, and therefore more cost-effective.
[0035] In a third preferred, preferably alternative embodiment to the first or the second preferred embodiment, it is provided that the floor cushion consists of a multi-layer assembly which comprises at least one contoured floor cushion base plate, preferably made of a non-compressed honeycomb cardboard, and which comprises at least one contoured and preferably partially compressed upper floor cushion plate, which consists of a layer of honeycomb cardboard and which contains foldable areas created in some areas by a respective trimming in order to create the final contour of the floor cushion with all the necessary functions.
[0036] The functions can advantageously be designed so that all types of large appliances function with just one base cushion variant, thus reducing complexity. Common and well-known device types include freestanding large appliances, semi-integrated large appliances, and fully integrated large appliances. For component functions such as securing the large appliance to the base cushion during production and transport, additional components can be applied to this upper base cushion plate in a form-fitting or, preferably, material-fitting manner. The respective additional component can be an injection-molded component made of a plastic, such as polycarbonate, or optionally also of at least one paper-based and injection-moldable material. The statements regarding the first preferred embodiment and the second preferred embodiment of the floor cushion with regard to the forces acting during a drop test in intended damping areas naturally also apply to the third preferred embodiment of the floor cushion.
[0037] In all preferred embodiments of the floor cushion, a centering pad can be provided in the respective right-hand and left-hand inner area of the floor cushion. The centering pad is a component required to lock the large device onto the floor cushion. The outer contour of the centering pad enables the locking of different variants of the base support of the large device, since, depending on the model series of the large device, different ribs of the centering pad can engage with the base support. The centering pad is preferably constructed and designed such that it can be used in both the right-hand and left-hand inner area of the floor cushion. This reduces the complexity of the centering pad to one.Furthermore, the centering pad comprises stepped holes and / or cutouts on the top side and recessed areas on the bottom side to create a positive fit of the adhesive in the holes and / or cutouts in addition to a material bond through adhesive. This achieves increased adhesion to the floor pad and adequately fulfills the function of locking the large device. Due to the geometry of the base plate of the floor pad and the "wings" on the centering pad, the correct positioning of both the components and the assemblies is guaranteed in a process-reliable and time-independent manner. The centering pad is preferably made of a polycarbonate material due to the adhesive properties of the material, although the use of other plastics and plastic-free materials, such as paper injection molding and the like, is also possible.
[0038] In a further preferred embodiment, it is provided that the tray and the floor cushion arranged therein form a workpiece carrier which serves for assembling the large device on an assembly line.
[0039] The components and assemblies of the workpiece carrier can comprise at least one fibrous material, at least one fibrous material with at least a partial coating, at least one plastic, and / or at least one wood compound. The coating is preferably a biodegradable coating that reduces, preferably significantly reduces, and in particular completely prevents, moisture absorption by the tray.
[0040] This ideally eliminates the need for a separate, costly, and maintenance-intensive workpiece carrier during assembly of the large device. Necessary functions for the assembly steps, such as stops, positioning marks and aids, extraction systems, and the like, can be integrated into the floor pad.
[0041] Thus, in this preferred embodiment, the base of the floor cushion can also have a large-area recess. This large-area recess serves, in particular, to lift and position the large device at the "engagement point," i.e., the assembly point where the large device is brought onto the workpiece carrier and positioned, in particular, secured, on the same.
[0042] The floor cushion can also be machined from below, particularly by punching. Folded areas can be cut from below, folded upwards, and glued. These folded areas are necessary to meet the transport requirements of the packaging and the functions of the workpiece carrier on the assembly line, such as stopping, contacting, lifting, and so on. Furthermore, the floor cushion ideally has a uniform geometry for all device types (floor-standing, substructure, integrated). Large cutouts can be provided in the front area of the floor cushion for mounting the base panel on large stand-alone devices or recesses for the insertion areas of the support angles for large integrated devices.
[0043] In a further preferred embodiment, the upwardly projecting tabs of the tray are preferably connected, in particular glued, to the floor cushion arranged in the tray. The bonding contributes to improved stability of the composite and is achieved by means of the upwardly projecting tabs, in particular folding tabs, of the tray, so that the open cut contours of the floor cushion arranged in the tray are covered, thus ensuring protection of the formerly open structure during transport and on the assembly line, especially at stop elements. Furthermore, all necessary functions for the assembly line are taken into account in the cut contours.
[0044] Through this preferably flat connection, in particular adhesive bonding, of the at least two components, the tray protects the floor cushion against damage regardless of the structure and makes it more resistant to moisture ingress. In the interior of the tray, the tabs are glued upwards to cover the open side surfaces of the honeycomb structure of the floor cushion. The open side surfaces of the floor cushion are not protected during production of the floor cushion, for example by a cover layer. Otherwise, the side surfaces of the floor cushion could be damaged at the stoppers and positioning points on the assembly line, which would affect the stability of the floor cushion. Furthermore, the preferably flat connection, in particular adhesive bonding, of the at least two components, which is cost-effective and easy to automate, can reduce the number of parts to be taken into account during assembly of the large device. The upwardly projecting flaps of the tray can be produced directly during the production of the tray's base carton, preferably using cutting and punching tools. The floor cushion can therefore be delivered directly to the assembly line in the tray.
[0045] The tub is preferably designed so that the floor cushions can be stacked on top of each other in a form-fitting manner.
[0046] In a further preferred embodiment, it is provided that at least one support element is arranged on the front region of the floor cushion, in particular introduced in a form-fitting manner, and that the support element contacts the large device in its front base region, in particular supports it in a form-fitting manner.
[0047] Some designs of large appliances also require support elements. The support elements are preferably positively connected to the appliance and thus influence the flow of forces in the base area of the packaging, for example when stacking several large appliances. These support elements also have a function in ensuring the stability of the packaged large appliance. The support elements can be made either from plastic, for example from polycarbonate through injection molding or deep drawing, or from a plastic-free material, for example from multi-layer and subsequently punched corrugated cardboard or from paper injection molding. Furthermore, a respective support element can have the basic shape of an angle, a column, a support, and so on. The components are mounted into the base cushion and onto the large appliance during the assembly process and are therefore not a direct part of the base cushion. The area of the support element that is inserted into the base support preferably has slightly thickened sections to generate a clamping force. However, the component is still easy for the customer to disassemble when unpacking the large device. A possible rib structure of the support element is also designed so that ribs are present only where necessary. This property is advantageously based on real loads during assembly and transport of the large device and can be designed and verified through simulation for both static and dynamic load cases.
[0048] Furthermore, it can be provided that a hose guide for positioning a hose located on the large device during the assembly process is arranged, in particular inserted in a form-fitting manner, in the rear area of the floor cushion.
[0049] The hose guide, which can be inserted into the floor cushion when the large appliance is delivered or during the assembly process, is required, for example, in a dishwasher to hold the hoses located at the back of the dishwasher in position during the assembly process, i.e. before the outer cover is attached.
[0050] In a further preferred embodiment, it is provided that a hose adapter for extracting residual moisture in the large device is arranged, in particular inserted in a form-fitting manner, in the rear area of the floor cushion before delivery.
[0051] The hose adapter, which is already in the delivery state or during
[0052] The suction cup can be inserted into the floor cushion during the assembly process of the large appliance and is required, for example, in a dishwasher in order to extract any residual moisture in the dishwasher before delivery.
[0053] In a further preferred embodiment, it is provided that the at least two lateral clamp pads are contoured and / or compressed on the inside in such a way that they introduce clamp forces and / or further forces generated by further transport load cases into adjacent and force-absorbing components and / or assemblies of the large device, such as a base support or a door hinge.
[0054] The introduction of the clamping forces and / or the further forces generated by further transport load cases into neighbouring and force-absorbing components and / or assemblies of the large device can, for example, occur through direct contact with neighbouring components and / or assemblies, in particular through larger contact surfaces, through “weakened” material and the like.
[0055] Due to this preferred embodiment, the provision of further force-absorbing and sometimes expensive components in the lower area of the large device can be dispensed with, since the lateral clamp pads transmit clamping forces and / or further forces generated by further transport load cases directly and immediately into adjacent and force-absorbing components and / or assemblies of the large device.
[0056] In a further preferred embodiment, it is provided that the at least two lateral clamp pads are contoured and / or compressed on the inside in such a way that they do not introduce clamp forces and / or further forces generated by further transport load cases into adjacent and non-force-absorbing components and assemblies of the large device, such as a side wall.
[0057] Due to this preferred embodiment, it can also be reliably ensured that clamping forces and / or other forces generated by additional transport load cases are not introduced into adjacent and non-force-absorbing components and / or assemblies of the large device. Avoiding the introduction of clamping forces and / or other forces generated by additional transport load cases into adjacent and force-absorbing components and / or assemblies of the large device can be achieved, for example, by means of spacing, in particular spacing areas, open spaces, free spaces, and the like.
[0058] The two side clamp pads are preferably installed after the optional side panels of the large device have been attached, not least for reasons of accessibility during the assembly sequence. The respective clamp pads can be designed by trimming or compressing them so that the forces are only introduced into the device at the desired positions, preventing damage to the components of the large device involved in the force flow.
[0059] In a further preferred embodiment, it is provided that the at least two lateral clamp pads are designed in such a way that they can be mounted in the assembly process of the large device only after the attachment, in particular suspension, of wall parts, in particular on the right and left sides, in particular can be inserted into the floor pad in a form-fitting manner.
[0060] The late installation of at least two side clamp pads allows relatively free and unobstructed access to the components and assemblies already mounted on the large device. In the event of necessary rework on the large device, components that are not yet required but have already been installed, such as the at least two side clamp pads, would not have to be removed.
[0061] In a further preferred embodiment, it is provided that the at least two lateral clamp pads are inserted into the floor pad on the right and left sides, in particular in a form-fitting manner, by means of a plug-in system, in particular a tongue and groove system.
[0062] This assembly method, in the form of a stacking arrangement, allows for quick, sometimes error-free, and simple installation of the side clamp pads. The at least two side clamp pads can be prepared for stacking during production, for example, when designing a honeycomb panel using compression or when designing a multi-layer laminated panel using contouring. During the preparation of the at least two side clamp pads, the desired force application to the desired positions can be ensured. By applying the desired force to the side clamp pad, potential damage to the adjacent side wall of the large device can be prevented.
[0063] The at least two lateral clamp pads can also serve to counter-support clamping forces and preferably also consist of at least partially compressed honeycomb panels, which are preferably inserted into the base pad on the right and left sides, in particular in a form-fitting manner. Additional geometries for the form-fitting connection and / or an increased frictional force with the large device can also be provided by applying additional layers with higher friction coefficients, in particular anti-slip papers, coatings or, preferably, internal adhesive surfaces that can be removed from the large device again and which preferably contact the large device on the inside. In order for the force to be transmitted through the two lateral clamp pads only to the desired areas of the large device, it is advantageous if the two lateral clamp pads remain in the desired position during the entire transport path.On the one hand, this can be achieved through a positive fit with the contoured component; on the other hand, a friction-enhancing intermediate layer can be applied to the contact surfaces of the respective side clamp pad with the large device. This intermediate layer is preferably a honeycomb panel cover paper with a higher coefficient of friction, an adhesive layer that can preferably be removed without leaving residue from the large device and is applied to the inside of the side clamp pad before assembly, or an additional layer of a material with a higher coefficient of friction applied to the cardboard at the contact surface with the large device.
[0064] In a further preferred embodiment, it is provided that at least one honeycomb pad is attached, in particular glued, to the inside of the support plate of the roof pad and / or that at least one clamping strip is provided for counter-supporting clamping forces, which is preferably attached, preferably glued, to the inside of the support plate of the roof pad.
[0065] The roof cushion preferably consists of several components, including a carrier plate, in particular a carrier plate made of corrugated cardboard, several honeycomb cushions, and at least one clamping strip to counteract clamping forces. If no honeycomb cushion is attached to the roof area of the large appliance, e.g. a dishwasher, the overall height of the packaged large appliance is lower and the loading volume in the means of transport can be used more efficiently. One measure of the efficiency of the loading volume in the means of transport is, for example, the number of packages in containers, wagons, etc. By increasing the number of packages per means of transport, the number of transports and thus also the costs and the resulting environmental impact can be reduced.
[0066] The at least one clamping strip is preferably provided for integrated large appliances, in particular dishwashers, which do not have a top-side functional panel, in particular a worktop, since it is intended for the transmission of forces generated by transport loads. In contrast, freestanding large appliances, in particular dishwashers, typically do not have at least one clamping strip, since an existing top-side functional panel, in particular a worktop, is intended for the transmission of forces generated by transport loads.
[0067] In the event that such a honeycomb cushion is required for a direct-to-consumer (D2C) shipment due to more stringent transport packaging requirements, such as roof joints and the like, this can be achieved using a modular design or a roof cushion variant specifically designed for these large devices. The cushions and the wooden strips of the roof cushion must be adapted to the interfaces of the different device designs, which in turn requires different component variants.
[0068] In a further preferred embodiment, it is provided that the respective corner strip has an L-shaped or approximately L-shaped cross-section and / or that the respective corner strip is attached to the floor cushion, in particular fixed in position.
[0069] The respective corner strip ensures the appropriate distance between the film and the large appliance, thus creating the necessary film tension after the shrinking process. The corner strip can be made of wood or, optionally, other materials, such as cardboard. The L-shaped or nearly L-shaped cross-section of the respective corner strip facilitates additional positioning and securing of the large appliance via its vertical edge. In principle, the respective corner strip can have any cross-section; the corner edges can also have different cross-sections.
[0070] In a further preferred embodiment, it is provided that the film, in particular the shrink film or the stretch film, wraps at least the vertical side walls and the corner regions of a lower assembly and an upper assembly on the outside.
[0071] To ensure the shrinking process of the preferably recyclable film and to meet the subsequent transport requirements of the packaged large appliance, a corner strip is required in each corner area of the packaging. The preferably recyclable film, in particular the shrink film or stretch film, has a film thickness in the range of 30 μm to 75 μm, preferably in the range of 40 μm to 60 μm, in particular of approximately 50 μm. The preferably recyclable shrink film is preferably a polyethylene film, whereas the preferably recyclable stretch film is preferably made from polyethylene. Recycling is usually the reprocessing of discarded valuable materials into a new product. The original product is actually destroyed in the process - usually by shredding or melting - and the valuable material thus obtained is used to manufacture new products.
[0072] The above-described external wrapping of the large appliance, in particular the dishwasher, can be additionally or alternatively provided by a cardboard-based wrapping, such as a folding box or the like. Such a cardboard-based wrapping can then be secured with at least one wrapping tape if necessary.

Furthermore, the packaging 115 comprises two lateral clamp pads 122.L, 122.R for counter-supporting clamp forces F1 (arrow), which preferably consist of at least partially compressed honeycomb panels 123, which are inserted into the base cushion 121 on the right and left sides, in particular in a form-fitting manner, and preferably contact the dishwasher 1 on the inside.Furthermore, the packaging 115 comprises a roof cushion 124, which comprises a carrier plate 125 with a plurality of downwardly projecting side flaps 126 and shaped flaps 127, wherein a plurality of honeycomb cushions 128 are attached, in particular glued, to the inside of the downwardly projecting side flaps 126, and preferably at least one clamping strip 129 (see Fig. 29) for counter-supporting clamping forces F1 (arrow), which is preferably attached, preferably glued, to the inside of the carrier plate 125 of the roof cushion 124.The packaging 115 also comprises at least one corner strip 130, preferably arranged at each vertical corner 131 of the packaging 115, which extends from the bottom cushion 121 to approximately the roof cushion 124, in particular to its lower edge, and which preferably and at least partially consists of a fiber material 132, in particular wood or cardboard, and a film 133, in particular a shrink film or a stretch film, which forms an at least partially outer shell 134 of the packaging 115.
[0163] The respective corner strip 130 preferably has a rectangular or approximately rectangular cross-section 130.Q and / or is attached to the floor cushion 121, in particular fixed in position.
[0164] The tray 118, the bottom cushion 121 and the two side clamp cushions 122. L, 122. R are part of a lower assembly 116 of the packaging 115, whereas the roof cushion 124 and the clamp strip 129 for counter-supporting clamp forces F1 (arrow) are part of an upper assembly 117 of the packaging 115.
[0165] According to the inventive concept, the packaging 115 is also suitable for packaging any known large appliances, in particular household appliances such as washing machines, tumble dryers, refrigerators, stoves, or the like. Figure 17 shows a perspective view of the tray 118 of the packaging 115 according to the invention, as shown in Figure 16.
[0166] The tray 118 is preferably a pure cardboard tray, a cardboard tray with a coating, or a plastic tray. Any coating on the tray 118 is preferably a biodegradable coating that reduces, preferably significantly reduces, and in particular completely prevents, moisture absorption by the tray 118.
[0167] Furthermore, the tub 118 has a base surface 135, which preferably has a large-area recess 136 with a recessed surface 137.
[0168] Furthermore, the upwardly projecting tabs 119 of the tub 118, which preferably form a circumferential edge 120, optionally with height-offset edge regions, are preferably connected, in particular glued, to the floor cushion 121 arranged in the tub 118 over a surface area (see Fig. 22 and Fig. 23). Through this preferably surface-wide connection, in particular glued, of the at least two components, the tub 118 protects the floor cushion 121 against damage, regardless of its structure, and makes it more resistant to moisture ingress. The floor cushion 121 can therefore be delivered directly in the tub 118 to the assembly line for the dishwasher 1 (see Fig. 16).
[0169] Fig. 18 shows a perspective view of the bottom cushion base plate 139 of the packaging 115 according to the invention according to Fig. 16.
[0170] In a first preferred embodiment, the floor cushion 121 consists of a multi-layer assembly 138, which comprises at least one contoured floor cushion base plate 139, preferably made of non-compressed honeycomb cardboard. The floor cushion base plate 139 is preferably a pure cardboard plate, a cardboard plate with a coating, or a plastic plate. Any coating on the floor cushion base plate 139 is, in particular, preferably a biodegradable coating that reduces, preferably significantly reduces, and in particular completely prevents, moisture absorption by the floor cushion base plate 39.
[0171] Furthermore, the floor cushion base plate 139 is provided with a plurality of openings 140 and / or cutouts 141 of any desired contour and size.
[0172] Fig. 19 shows a perspective view of a third preferred embodiment of the upper bottom cushion base plate 42.C with two centering pads 70 of the inventive packaging 115 according to Fig. 16.
[0173] The contoured base cushioning plate 139, preferably made of non-compressed honeycomb cardboard, comprises at least one preferably differently contoured and preferably partially compressed upper base cushioning plate 42.C, which consists of a layer of honeycomb cardboard and contains foldable areas 68 created in some areas by respective trimming 69 to create the final contour of the base cushioning plate 121 with all necessary functions. The base cushioning plate 139 and the upper base cushioning plate 42.C form a multi-layer assembly 138 (see Fig. 22).
[0174] The statements regarding the first preferred embodiment and the second preferred embodiment of the floor cushion 21 with regard to the acting forces F2 (arrow) and F3 (arrow) during a drop test in the intended force flow areas 46, 47, 60 and 61 and damping areas 44, 45, 58 and 59 (see Fig. 5 and Fig. 11) naturally also apply to the third preferred embodiment of the floor cushion 21.
[0175] In the front region V of the floor cushion 121, a recess 148 is preferably provided for receiving accessories, information materials and the like.
[0176] Fig. 20 shows a perspective view of a centering pad 70 of the packaging 115 according to the invention as shown in Fig. 16.
[0177] A centering pad 70 is provided in each of the right-hand and left-hand inner regions 71 of the base cushion 121 (see Fig. 19). The centering pad 70 is essentially a component 72 required to lock the dishwasher 1 (see Fig. 16) onto the base cushion 121. The upper outer contour 70.K of the centering pad 70 enables locking of different variants of the base support of the dishwasher 1 (see Fig. 16), since, depending on the model series of the dishwasher 1 (see Fig. 16), different ribs 73 of the centering pad 70 can engage with the base support. The centering pad 70 is preferably constructed and designed such that it can be used in both the right-hand and left-hand inner regions 71 of the base cushion 121 (see Fig. 19). This makes the complexity of the centering pad 70 one.Furthermore, the centering pad 70 of the packaging 115 comprises offset bores 75 and / or openings 76 on the top side 74 and recessed areas 78 on the bottom side 77 (see Fig. 21) in order to create a positive fit of the adhesive in the bores 75 and / or openings 76 in addition to a material bond by adhesive bonding. This results in increased adhesion to the base cushion 121 and sufficient fulfillment of the locking function of the dishwasher 1 (see Fig. 16 and Fig. 19). Due to the geometry of the base plate 139 of the base cushion 121 (see Fig. 18 and Fig. 19) and the "wings" 79 on the centering pad 70, the correct positioning of both the components and the assemblies is guaranteed in a process-reliable and time-independent manner. The centering pad 70 is preferably made of a polycarbonate material due to the adhesive properties of the material, although the use of other plastics and plastic-free materials, such as paper injection molding and the like, is also possible.
[0178] Fig. 21 shows a perspective bottom view of the centering pad 70 according to Fig. 20.
[0179] In this bottom view of the centering pad 70, the recessed areas 78 on the underside 77 are clearly visible. Due to the geometry of the base plate 139 of the base cushion 121 (see Fig. 18 and Fig. 19) and the "wings" 79 on the centering pad 70, the correct positioning of both the components and the assemblies is ensured in a process-reliable and time-independent manner.
[0180] Fig. 22 shows a further perspective view of the base cushion 121 together with the tray 118 of the packaging 115 according to the invention according to Fig. 16. The tray 118 and the base cushion 121 arranged therein form a workpiece carrier 149 which is used for assembling the dishwasher 1 (see Fig. 16) on an assembly line.
[0181] In the rear area H of the floor cushion 121, a hose adapter 151 for extracting residual moisture in the dishwasher 1 (see Fig. 16) before delivery is arranged, in particular inserted in a form-fitting manner.
[0182] A centering pad 70 is provided in each of the right-hand and left-hand inner areas 71 of the base cushion 121. The centering pad 70 is essentially a component 72 required to lock the dishwasher 1 (see Fig. 16) onto the base cushion 121.
[0183] In the front region V of the floor cushion 121, a recess 148 is preferably provided for receiving accessories, information materials and the like.
[0184] Fig. 23 shows a perspective view of the lower assembly 116 of the packaging 115 according to the invention according to Fig. 16.
[0185] The lower assembly 116 includes the tray 118, the floor pad 121 and the two side clamp pads 122. L, 122. R.
[0186] The illustrated lateral clamp pads 122. L, 122. R are designed in such a way that they can be mounted in the assembly process of the dishwasher 1 (see Fig. 16) only after the attachment, in particular suspension, of wall parts not shown, and can be inserted into the base pad 121, in particular in a form-fitting manner.
[0187] The respective lateral clamp pad 122.L, 122.R is inserted into the floor pad 121, in particular in a form-fitting manner, by means of a plug-in system 152, in particular a tongue-and-groove system 153 known to the person skilled in the art.
[0188] Fig. 24 shows a partial perspective view of the base cushion 121 of the inventive packaging 115 according to Fig. 16. At the contact surface 80 between the base cushion 121 and the base support of the dishwasher 1 (see Fig. 16), the material is deliberately weakened, preferably in the form of a top-side and one-sided perforation 81. Thus, the appliance base 83 of the appliance base support 82 (see Fig. 25) can be deliberately inserted into the material and efficiently prevent excessive force introduction in this area. Typically, the perforation 81 comprises slotted perforations.
[0189] Fig. 25 shows a perspective partial view of the floor cushion 121 with a device foot support 82 according to Fig. 24.
[0190] A device foot support 82 carrying a device foot 83 can be seen, which is connected to the base support of the dishwasher 1 (see Fig. 16) via a clamping element 84. The device foot 83 rests on the contact surface 80 of the base cushion 121, described above and having a perforation 81.
[0191] Such a device base support 82 is disclosed, for example, in the document DE 102007 057 512 A1. The content of this document is hereby incorporated into the present description.
[0192] Fig. 26 shows a perspective partial view from below of the floor cushion 121 according to Fig. 24.
[0193] At least on the opposite side of the contact surface 80 from the floor cushion 121 to the base support of the dishwasher 1 (see Fig. 16), the material is deliberately weakened, preferably in the form of an underside and one-sided compression 85.
[0194] Fig. 27 shows a perspective view of a support element 154 of the packaging 115 according to the invention according to Fig. 16.
[0195] The packaging provides at least two support elements 154, preferably arranged on the outside, which are arranged on the front region V of the base cushion 121 (see Fig. 22 in conjunction with Fig. 16), in particular inserted in a form-fitting manner. Each support element 154 contacts the dishwasher 1 (see Fig. 16) in its front base region 155 (see Fig. 16). The contacting of the dishwasher 1 (see Fig. 16) serves in particular to provide form-fitting support for the dishwasher 1 (see Fig. 16). The contour for the temporary storage of accessories, such as a packaged accessory set and the like, is formed on the upper side 156 of the support element 154.
[0196] The support elements 154 can optionally be made of plastic, for example, from a polycarbonate by injection molding or deep drawing, or from a plastic-free material, for example, from multi-layer and subsequently punched corrugated cardboard or from a paper injection molding. Furthermore, a respective support element 154 can have the basic shape of an angle, a column, a support, and so on. The support elements 154 are mounted in the floor cushion 121 and on the dishwasher 1 (see Fig. 16) during the assembly process and are therefore not a direct component of the floor cushion 121. The area of the support element 154 that is inserted into the base support of the dishwasher 1 (see Fig. 16) preferably has slightly thickened areas to generate a clamping force.
[0197] Fig. 28 shows a perspective view of the two lateral clamp pads 122.L, 122.R of the packaging 115 according to the invention according to Fig. 16 and Fig. 23.
[0198] In this illustration of the two side clamp pads 122. L, 122. R, the possible contours, trimmings, compressions and parts of the respective plug-in system are
[0199] 152, in particular the respective tongue and groove system known to the person skilled in the art
[0200] 153, can be clearly seen. The respective lateral clamp pad 122.L, 122.R is inserted into the base pad 121 (see Fig. 6 and Fig. 23) by means of a plug-in system 152, particularly in a form-fitting manner.
[0201] The two lateral clamp pads 122.L, 122.R serve to counter-support clamp forces F1 (arrow) and / or further forces F2 (arrow) generated by further transport load cases in adjacent and force-absorbing components and / or assemblies of the dishwasher 1 (see Fig. 16), and they contact the dishwasher 1 (see Fig. 16), preferably on the inside. Fig. 29 shows a perspective view of a first preferred embodiment of the unfolded upper assembly 117 of the packaging 115 according to the invention according to Fig. 16. This unfolded upper assembly 117 is particularly suitable for packaging an integrated appliance type of a dishwasher 1 (see Fig. 16).
[0202] The roof cushion 124 of the packaging 115, shown in an unfolded state, comprises a carrier plate 125 with a plurality of downwardly projecting side flaps 126 and shaped flaps 127, wherein a plurality of honeycomb cushions 128 are attached, in particular glued, to the inside of the downwardly projecting side flaps 126 and shaped flaps 127. Furthermore, two spaced clamping strips 129 are provided for counter-supporting clamping forces F1 (arrow), which are preferably attached, preferably glued, to the inside of the carrier plate 125 of the roof cushion 124. The side flaps 126 and the shaped flaps 127 can be configured differently in pairs. Thus, the shaped tabs 127 can each be provided with at least one clamping contour 162, whereas the side tabs 126, in a folded state of the roof cushion 124, receive the two-sided ends of the respective clamping strips 129 in receiving recesses 163, preferably in a form-fitting manner, for counter-supporting clamping forces F1 (arrow).
[0203] Fig. 30 shows a perspective view of a second preferred embodiment of the folded upper assembly 117 of the packaging 115 according to the invention according to Fig. 16. This unfolded upper assembly 117 is particularly suitable for packaging a Solo appliance type of a dishwasher 1 (see Fig. 16).
[0204] The roof cushion 124 of the packaging 115, shown in an unfolded state, comprises a carrier plate 125 with a plurality of downwardly projecting side flaps 126 and shaped flaps 127, wherein a plurality of honeycomb cushions 128 are attached, in particular glued, to the inside of the downwardly projecting side flaps 126 and shaped flaps 127. Thus, the shaped tabs 127 can each be provided with at least one clamping contour 162, whereas the clamping strips 129 run parallel to the adjacent honeycomb cushions 128 for counter-supporting clamping forces F1 (arrow).
[0205] Fig. 31 shows a perspective view of the folded upper assembly 117 of the inventive package 115 according to Fig. 16.
[0206] This illustration clearly shows the folded roof pad 124, the support plate 125, the downwardly projecting side flaps 126 and shaped flaps 127, and the honeycomb pad 128. Furthermore, the receiving recesses 164 for the corner strips 130 (see Fig. 16) formed between the side flaps 126 and the shaped flaps 127 in the vertical corners 131 of the packaging 115 are also visible. For clarity, one corner strip 130 is partially indicated.
[0207] The features of the packaging 15, 115 according to the invention shown in Figures 1 to 31, in particular the preferred embodiments, can of course be combined with one another in a manner that is obvious to the person skilled in the art.
[0208] Although the present invention has been described using exemplary embodiments, it can be modified in many ways.
