[0001] FIELD OF THE DISCLOSURE The present disclosure relates to wet wipes packaging and methods of manufacturing packaging bodies for wet wipes packaging.
[0002]
[0003] For example, Patent Literature 1 discloses a sheet package in which a sheet laminate formed by stacking a plurality of wet wipes is packaged in a bag-shaped package, the bag-shaped package being made of a paper material, at least the inner surface of the outer and inner surfaces of the bag-shaped package being provided with an impermeable layer, the bag-shaped package having a predetermined opening, a first sealing material attached to the outer surface of the bag-shaped package so as to cover the opening, a second sealing material attached to the inner surface of the bag-shaped package so as to cover the opening, a portion where the first sealing material and the second sealing material are attached to each other through the opening is formed with a take-out opening for taking out the wet wipes, and a seal-like lid material that can be repeatedly attached and peeled off multiple times is arranged in a position covering the take-out opening (claim 1).
[0003] Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2023-122656
[0004] Patent Document 1 does not disclose the wet wipes packaging according to the present disclosure. Therefore, an object of the present disclosure is to provide a wet wipes packaging that has a simple structure, is less likely to cause transfer of the medicinal solution to the cellulose-based substrate after use begins, and allows the wipes to be easily removed.
[0005] The present inventors have discovered a wet wipes packaging comprising a packaging body containing a plurality of wipes and a medicinal solution, a removal section, and a flap label covering the removal section so that it can be repeatedly opened and closed, wherein the packaging body has an inner surface and an outer surface, and comprises a cellulose-based base material layer arranged on the outer surface side and an impermeable layer arranged on the inner surface side, the cellulose-based base material layer having a base material layer opening in the removal section, the impermeable layer having an impermeable layer opening in the removal section or an impermeable layer opening forming section that forms the impermeable layer opening, and wherein, when viewed in a plane in the removal direction of the removal section, the outer edge of the impermeable layer opening is positioned inward relative to the outer edge of the base material layer opening.
[0006] The wet wipes packaging of the present disclosure has a simple structure, is less likely to transfer the medicinal solution to the cellulose-based substrate after use begins, and allows the wipes to be easily removed.
[0007] FIG. 1 is a diagram for explaining a packaging body 1 according to a first embodiment. FIG. 2 is a diagram for explaining a packaging body 1 according to the first embodiment. FIG. 3 is a diagram for explaining a packaging body 1 according to the first embodiment. FIG. 4 is a diagram for explaining a packaging body 1 according to the first embodiment. FIG. 5 is a diagram for explaining a packaging body 1 according to the first embodiment. FIG. 6 is a diagram for explaining a packaging body 1 according to the first embodiment. FIG. 7 is a diagram for explaining a packaging body 1 according to a second embodiment. FIG. 8 is a diagram for explaining a packaging body 1 according to a third embodiment. FIG. 9 is a diagram for explaining a packaging body 1 according to a fourth embodiment.
[0008] Specifically, the present disclosure relates to the following aspects: [Aspect 1] A wet wipes package comprising a packaging body containing a plurality of wipes and a chemical solution, a removal portion, and a flap label covering the removal portion in a manner that allows repeated opening and closing, wherein the packaging body has an inner surface and an outer surface, and comprises a cellulose-based base material layer disposed on the outer surface side and an impermeable layer disposed on the inner surface side, the cellulose-based base material layer has a base material opening in the removal portion, the impermeable layer has an impermeable layer opening in the removal portion, the impermeable layer has an impermeable layer opening or an impermeable layer opening forming portion that forms the impermeable layer opening, and the wet wipes package is characterized in that, in a plan view in the removal direction of the removal portion, an outer edge of the impermeable layer opening is disposed inward of the outer edge of the base material layer opening.
[0009] In the wet wipes package, before use, the impermeable layer constituting the package body has a predetermined impermeable layer opening. Therefore, it has a simpler structure than the sheet package disclosed in Patent Document 1. Furthermore, before use, the wet wipes package can retain the chemical solution by preventing the chemical solution from reaching the cellulose-based substrate layer to a certain extent, compared to a package in which the outer edge of the impermeable layer opening is located on the same side as or outside the outer edge of the substrate layer opening.
[0010] Since the above-mentioned package body includes a cellulose-based substrate layer, it tends to be harder than conventional package bodies that include a plastic substrate layer. As a result, if the wipes come into direct contact with the opening of the substrate layer when being removed, the medicinal solution impregnated in the wipes may migrate to the cellulose-based substrate layer, and the wipes may get caught in the opening of the substrate layer, making them difficult to remove.
[0011] In this regard, in the wet wipes package, the impermeable layer inner portion, which is located inside the outer edge of the base layer opening, is located inside the outer edge of the base layer opening. Therefore, compared to a package in which the outer edge of the impermeable layer opening is located on the same side as or outside the outer edge of the base layer opening, the impermeable layer inner portion prevents the wipes from coming into direct contact with the base layer opening, thereby preventing the chemical solution from migrating to the cellulose-based base layer and making it difficult to remove the wipes. Note that if the cellulose-based base layer forms the outer surface of the package, migration of the chemical solution to the cellulose-based base layer may make it easier for the chemical solution to volatilize from the outer surface of the package, which may ultimately make it difficult for the wet wipes package to retain the chemical solution.
[0012] As described above, the packaging of the wet wipes has a simple structure, and after the start of use, the medicinal solution is less likely to migrate to the cellulose-based substrate, and the wipes are easy to remove.
[0013] In this specification, "inward" means that a certain component is located closer to the center than the target component when viewed from above in the removal direction of the removal section. For example, "the outer edge of the impermeable layer opening is located more inward than the outer edge of the base layer opening" means that the outer edge of the impermeable layer opening is located closer to the center of the base layer opening than the outer edge of the base layer opening when viewed from above in the removal direction of the removal section.
[0014] [Aspect 2] The wet wipes package according to Aspect 1, wherein an adhesive layer is provided on one or both of the inner surface of the flap label and the outer surface of the impermeable layer in the removal section.
[0015] In the wet wipes package, an adhesive layer is provided on one or both of the inner surface of the flap label and the outer surface of the impermeable layer. When the adhesive layer is provided on the inner surface of the flap label, at least a part of the inner portion of the impermeable layer can adhere to the flap label before and after use of the package, making it difficult for the chemical solution to migrate to the cellulose-based substrate.
[0016] Furthermore, if an adhesive layer is provided on the outer surface of the impermeable layer, before and after the start of use of the packaging body, at least a portion of the inner part of the impermeable layer can adhere to the cellulose-based substrate and / or flap label, etc. at the cross section of the base layer opening, making it difficult for the chemical solution to migrate into the cellulose-based substrate.
[0017] In this specification, the terms "inner surface" and "outer surface" are terms that define the two surfaces that the object has in the removal direction of the removal section, and of the two surfaces that the object has, the surface on the inner surface side of the packaging body and the surface on the outer surface side of the packaging body are referred to as the "inner surface" and the "outer surface", respectively.
[0018] [Aspect 3] The wet wipes package according to Aspect 1 or 2, wherein the package further includes an impermeable outer cover member, at the removal section, between the flap label and the package body, the outer cover member opening including an outer cover member opening or an outer cover member opening forming portion capable of forming the outer cover member opening.
[0019] The wet wipes package includes a predetermined outer cover member, which makes it easier to protect the package body when opening and closing the flap label, and also makes the flap label less susceptible to the effects of wetting the cellulosic base material layer, etc.
[0020] [Aspect 4] The wet wipes package according to Aspect 3, wherein, in the plan view, at least a part of the outer edge of the outer cover member opening is positioned inward from the outer edge of the base material layer opening.
[0021] In the wet wipes package, when viewed from above in the removal direction of the removal section, at least a part of the outer edge of the outer cover member opening includes an inner portion of the outer cover member that is positioned inward from the outer edge of the base material layer opening. This inner portion of the outer cover member therefore prevents the wipes from coming into direct contact with the base material layer opening, thereby preventing the medicinal solution from migrating into the cellulose-based base material layer and making it difficult to remove the wipes.
[0022] [Aspect 5] The wet wipes package according to Aspect 4, wherein at least a portion of the outer cover member is fixed to the impermeable layer inside the outer edge of the base layer opening.
[0023] In the wet wipes package, at least a portion of the inner portion of the outer cover member is fixed to the inner portion of the impermeable layer to form a fixing portion. Therefore, both before and after use of the package, the chemical solution is less likely to migrate to the cellulose-based substrate in the cross section of the substrate layer opening in the portion where the fixing portion is present, and the chemical solution can be retained.
[0024] In this disclosure, the terms "fixing portion," "fix," and "fixed" mean that two or more members are in contact with each other so as not to separate during normal use of the package according to the present disclosure. On the other hand, in this disclosure, the term "joined" includes two or more members in contact with each other so as not to separate during normal use of the package according to the present disclosure, contact that allows separation, and contact that allows repeated separation.
[0025] [Aspect 6] The wet wipes package according to any one of Aspects 3 to 5, wherein an adhesive layer is disposed on the inner surface of the outer cover member, and at least a part of the outer edge of the opening of the outer cover member is disposed outward from the outer edge of the opening of the impermeable layer in the plan view.
[0026] In the wet wipes package, an adhesive layer is disposed on the inner surface of the outer cover member, and at least a portion of the outer edge of the opening of the outer cover member is disposed outward from the outer edge of the opening of the impermeable layer. Therefore, in the package, in the portion where at least a portion of the outer edge of the opening of the outer cover member is disposed outward from the outer edge of the opening of the impermeable layer, the adhesive layer disposed on the outer cover member is less likely to adhere to the wipes when the wipes are removed.
[0027] [Aspect 7] The wet wipes package according to any one of Aspects 3 to 6, wherein the outer surface of the outer cover member constitutes the release surface. In the wet wipes package, the outer surface of the outer cover member constitutes the release surface, and therefore the flap label has excellent repetitive opening and closing properties.
[0028] [Aspect 8] The wet wipes package according to any one of Aspects 1 to 7, wherein the flap label comprises a base member disposed on the package body side and a lid member connected to the base member so as to be repeatedly opened and closed, and the base member and the lid member are integrally formed.
[0029] In the wet wipes package, the flap label includes a predetermined base member and a lid member that are integrally formed. Therefore, when the lid member is opened and closed, the package body is easily protected, and the opening and closing of the lid member is less susceptible to the influence of the wetting of the cellulosic substrate layer. Furthermore, the wet wipes package can be simplified in structure and manufacturing compared to a package that includes a separate outer cover member.
[0030] [Aspect 9] The wet wipes package according to any one of aspects 1 to 8, wherein the cellulosic substrate layer comprises rayon.
[0031] In the wet wipes package, the cellulosic substrate layer contains rayon, so the package body is more likely to be softer than when the cellulosic substrate contains pulp fiber. Therefore, noise caused by deformation of the package body is less likely to be generated when the wet wipes package is used. In addition, the wet wipes package tends to have a luxurious appearance.
[0032] [Aspect 10] A method for manufacturing a packaging body for the wet wipes packaging body according to Aspect 1, comprising: a preparation step of preparing a laminate of the cellulose-based substrate layer having the substrate layer opening and the impermeable layer not having the impermeable layer opening.
[0033] The above manufacturing method includes a predetermined preparation step, and therefore can easily form a package for the wet wipes according to the present disclosure.
[0034] [Aspect 11] The method according to Aspect 10, further comprising an impermeable layer opening forming step of forming the impermeable layer opening in an area of the laminate that overlaps with the base layer opening. Since the method further comprises a predetermined impermeable layer opening forming step, the impermeable layer opening can be accurately formed inward of the base layer opening in plan view in the removal direction.
[0035] A wet wipes package (hereinafter, sometimes simply referred to as a "package") according to the present disclosure will be described in detail below. [First Embodiment] FIGS. 1 to 6 are diagrams illustrating a wet wipes package 1 according to one embodiment of the present disclosure (hereinafter, referred to as a "first embodiment"). Specifically, FIG. 1 is a perspective view of the package 1. FIG. 2 is a perspective view showing the package 1 in use. FIG. 3 is a plan view of the package 1. FIG. 4 is a partially enlarged end view of the vicinity of the removal portion 7 taken along the IV-IV edge of FIG. 3. FIG. 5 is a partially enlarged end view of the vicinity of the removal portion 7 taken along the IV-IV edge of FIG. 3, showing the state in which the flap label 9 has been opened after the start of use of the package 1. FIG. 6 is a partially enlarged end view of the vicinity of the removal portion 7 taken along the IV-IV edge of FIG. 3, showing the state in which the wipes 3 are being removed. It should be noted that the drawings are intended to aid in understanding the present disclosure, and the proportions of the components constituting the packaging body 1 (proportions in the first direction D1, second direction D2, and third direction D3 described below) do not accurately reflect the actual proportions; in particular, in the end view, the third direction D3 is shown relatively enlarged compared to the first direction D1 and the second direction D2.
[0036] The package 1 according to the first embodiment has a first direction D1, a second direction D2, and a third direction D3 that are perpendicular to one another. The third direction D3 is the vertical direction of the package 1, the direction in which the wipes 3 are stacked, and the direction in which the wipes 3 are removed. The first direction D1 and the second direction D2 are the longitudinal direction and width direction of the package 1, respectively.
[0037] The package 1 according to the first embodiment includes a package body 5 containing a plurality of wipes 3 and a medicinal solution (not shown), a removal section 7, and a flap label 9 that can be repeatedly opened and closed and covers the removal section 7. Each of the plurality of wipes 3 is folded and stacked in the third direction D3, but this is not a characteristic feature of the present disclosure and therefore will not be described in detail.
[0038] In the packaging body 1 according to the first embodiment, the packaging body 5 is formed into a cylindrical shape by providing a seal portion (not shown) at each end of the sheet-like packaging body 5 having a first direction D1 and a second direction D2 in the second direction D2, and is formed into a bag shape by providing an end seal portion 101 at both ends in the first direction D1.
[0039] The package body 5 has an inner surface 11 and an outer surface 13, and is provided with a cellulose-based substrate layer 15 disposed on the outer surface 13 side, and an impermeable layer 19 disposed on the inner surface 11 side. The cellulose-based substrate layer 15 forms the outer surface 13 of the package body 5, and the impermeable layer 19 forms the inner surface 11 of the package body 5.
[0040] The cellulose-based base material layer 15 has a base material layer opening 17 in the removal section 7. The impermeable layer 19 has an impermeable layer opening 21 in the removal section 7. Specifically, the impermeable layer opening 21 is an impermeable layer opening forming section 21b that forms the impermeable layer opening 21a when the flap label 9 is first opened at the start of use of the package 1. The outer edge of the impermeable layer opening forming section 21b is defined by a weakened line 27.
[0041] The package 1 further includes an impermeable outer cover member 23 between the flap label 9 and the package body 5 at the removal section 7. The outer cover member 23 includes an outer cover member opening 25. Specifically, the outer cover member opening 25 is an outer cover member opening forming portion 25b that forms the outer cover member opening 25a when the flap label 9 is first opened at the start of use of the package 1. The outer edge of the outer cover member opening forming portion 25b is defined by a weakened line 27.
[0042] In a plan view in the third direction D3, which corresponds to the removal direction of the removal portion 7, the area of the impermeable layer opening 21 of the impermeable layer 19 is smaller than the area of the base material layer opening 17 of the cellulose-based base material layer 15. Furthermore, in a plan view in the third direction D3, the outer edge of the impermeable layer opening 21 of the impermeable layer 19 is located more inward than the outer edge of the base material layer opening 17 of the cellulose-based base material layer 15. Furthermore, in a plan view in the third direction D3, the outer edge of the outer cover member opening 25 of the outer cover member 23 coincides with the outer edge of the impermeable layer opening 21 of the impermeable layer 19 and is located more inward than the outer edge of the base material layer opening 17 of the cellulose-based base material layer 15.
[0043] In the third direction D3, the flap label 9 has a flap label inner surface 31 on the inner surface 11 side and a flap label outer surface 33 on the outer surface 13 side, and an adhesive layer (not shown) is provided on the flap label inner surface 31. In the third direction D3, the outer cover member 23 has an outer cover member inner surface 41 on the inner surface 11 side and an outer cover member outer surface 43 on the outer surface 13 side. The outer cover member outer surface 43 is a release surface coated with a release agent, thereby bonding the flap label 9 to the outer cover member 23 in a manner that allows it to be repeatedly opened and closed. The outer cover member 23 has an adhesive layer (not shown) on the outer cover member inner surface 41.
[0044] The impermeable layer 19 has an impermeable layer inner surface 35 arranged on the inner surface 11 side and an impermeable layer outer surface 37 arranged on the outer surface 13 side in the third direction D3. The impermeable layer 19 has an adhesive layer (not shown) coated with an adhesive on the impermeable layer outer surface 37, and the impermeable layer 19 is fixed to the cellulose-based base material layer 15 by the adhesive layer. The impermeable layer inner surface 35 constitutes the inner surface 11 of the package body 5.
[0045] Before the package 1 is used, the impermeable layer 19 has a wall portion 19b that stands up toward the flap label 9 (outer cover member 23) and a top portion 19c that contacts the outer cover member 23. The impermeable layer 19 is fixed to the outer cover member 23 at the top portion 19c.
[0046] The weakened line 27 defining the outer edge of the impermeable layer opening 21 and the weakened line 27 defining the outer edge of the outer cover member opening 25 are integrally formed. Specifically, the package 1 is provided with the weakened line 27 at the outer edge of the top 19c of the impermeable layer 19 for cutting the impermeable layer opening-forming portion 21b and the outer cover member opening-forming portion 25b when the flap label 9 is first opened, thereby forming the impermeable layer opening 21a and the outer cover member opening 25a, respectively.
[0047] The weakened line 27 is formed by cutting the impermeable layer 19 and the outer cover member 23 from the impermeable layer 19 side so as to go around the outer edge of the top 19c and penetrate the impermeable layer 19 but not the outer cover member 23. As a result, when the flap label 9 is first opened, the outer edge of the top 19c (the outer edge of the impermeable layer opening-forming portion 21b and the outer edge of the outer cover member opening-forming portion 25b) is cut to form the impermeable layer opening 21a and the outer cover member opening 25a, and the wipes can be removed.
[0048] In the packaging body 1, the impermeable layer opening 21 and the outer cover member opening 25 are respectively the impermeable layer opening forming portion 21b and the outer cover member opening forming portion 25b, and the weakened line 27 that defines them is formed so as not to penetrate the outer cover member 23, so that the packaging body 1 has excellent ability to retain the medicinal solution before use of the packaging body 1 begins.
[0049] After the flap label 9 is first opened, a portion of the cellulose-based base material layer 15 remains inward from the outer edge of the base material layer opening 17 and outward from the weakened line 27 in a plan view in the third direction D3, and this remaining portion is referred to as the impermeable layer inner portion 19a. The impermeable layer inner portion 19a has a substantially quadrangular ring structure (not shown) in a plan view in the third direction D3. Hereinafter, the substantially quadrangular ring structure may be referred to as a "rectangular ring structure."
[0050] Similarly, after the flap label 9 is initially opened, a portion of the outer cover member 23 remains inward from the outer edge of the base material layer opening 17 of the cellulose-based base material layer 15 and outward from the weakened line 27 in a plan view in the third direction D3, and this remaining portion is referred to as the outer cover member inner portion 23a. The outer cover member inner portion 23a has a square ring structure (not shown) in a plan view in the third direction D3.
[0051] The impermeable layer inner portion 19a and the outer cover member inner portion 23a are fixed by an adhesive layer of the impermeable layer 19 and an adhesive layer of the outer cover member 23, forming a fixing portion 29. The fixing portion 29 has a square ring structure, similar to the impermeable layer inner portion 19a and the outer cover member inner portion 23a, in a plan view in the third direction D3. This allows the package 1 to have a simpler structure than the sheet package disclosed in Patent Document 1, and to prevent the medicinal solution from reaching the cellulose-based substrate layer 15 both before and after use of the package 1.
[0052] The package body 5 tends to be harder than conventional package bodies that include a plastic-based substrate layer because it includes the cellulose-based substrate layer 15. As a result, if the wipe 3 comes into direct contact with the substrate layer opening 17 when removing the wipe 3, the medicinal solution impregnated in the wipe 3 may migrate to the cellulose-based substrate layer 15, and the wipe 3 may get caught in the substrate layer opening 17, making it difficult to remove.
[0053] In the package 1, as shown in Figure 6, the fixing part 29 consisting of the impermeable layer inner part 19a and the outer cover member inner part 23a prevents the wipes 3 from coming into direct contact with the base layer opening 17, thereby making it easier to remove the wipes 3.
[0054] [Second embodiment] Fig. 7 is a diagram for explaining a package 1 for wet wipes according to another embodiment of the present disclosure (hereinafter referred to as "second embodiment"). Fig. 7 is a diagram corresponding to Fig. 4 in the first embodiment. Note that, in the package 1 according to the second embodiment, the description will focus on parts that are different from the package 1 according to the first embodiment, and descriptions of the same parts will be omitted as appropriate.
[0055] The package 1 according to the second embodiment comprises, in the third direction D3, a flap label 9, an outer cover member 23, and a package body 5 (cellulosic base material layer 15 and impermeable layer 19), in that order. In the third direction D3, the flap label 9 comprises a flap label inner surface 31 on the inner surface 11 side and a flap label outer surface 33 on the outer surface 13 side, and an adhesive layer (not shown) is provided on the flap label inner surface 31.
[0056] In the third direction D3, the outer cover member 23 has an outer cover member inner surface 41 on the inner surface 11 side and an outer cover member outer surface 43 on the outer surface 13 side, and an adhesive layer (not shown) is provided on the outer cover member inner surface 41, and the outer cover member outer surface 43 is a release surface coated with a release agent. In the third direction D3, the impermeable layer 19 has an impermeable layer inner surface 35 on the inner surface 11 side and an impermeable layer outer surface 37 on the outer surface 13 side, and an adhesive layer (not shown) is provided on the impermeable layer outer surface 37.
[0057] The cellulose-based base material layer 15 has a base material layer opening 17 in the removal section 7, and the impermeable layer 19 has an impermeable layer opening 21 in the removal section 7. Specifically, the impermeable layer opening 21 is an impermeable layer opening 21a having a through-hole for removing wipes before use of the package 1 begins (before the flap label 9 is opened for the first time). The outer cover member 23 has an outer cover member opening 25 in the removal section 7. Specifically, the outer cover member opening 25 is an outer cover member opening 25a having a through-hole for removing wipes before use of the package 1 begins (before the flap label 9 is opened for the first time).
[0058] In a plan view in the third direction D3, the area of the impermeable layer opening 21a of the impermeable layer 19 and the area of the outer cover member opening 25a of the outer cover member 23 are smaller than the area of the base material layer opening 17 of the cellulose-based base material layer 15. Furthermore, in a plan view in the third direction D3, the outer edges of the impermeable layer opening 21a of the impermeable layer 19 and the outer edge of the outer cover member opening 25a of the outer cover member 23 are positioned more inward than the outer edge of the base material layer opening 17 of the cellulose-based base material layer 15. Furthermore, the outer edges of the impermeable layer opening 21a of the impermeable layer 19 and the outer edge of the outer cover member opening a25 of the outer cover member 23 are aligned in plan view in the third direction D3.
[0059] The impermeable layer 19 has an impermeable layer inner portion 19a that is located inward from the outer edge of the base layer opening 17, and the impermeable layer inner portion 19a has a square ring structure. The outer cover member 23 has an outer cover member inner portion 23a that is located inward from the outer edge of the base layer opening 17, and the outer cover member inner portion 23a has a square ring structure.
[0060] In the removal portion 7, the outer cover member inner portion 23a of the outer cover member 23 and the impermeable layer inner portion 19a of the impermeable layer 19 are fixed to each other via their respective adhesive layers to form a fixing portion 29. The fixing portion 29 has a square ring structure when viewed in a plan view in the third direction D3. This makes it difficult for the medicinal solution to transfer to the cellulose-based base material layer 15 in the cross section of the base material layer opening 17 both before and after use of the package 1.
[0061] [Third embodiment] Fig. 8 is a diagram for explaining a wet wipes package 1 according to another embodiment of the present disclosure (hereinafter referred to as "third embodiment"). Fig. 8 is a diagram corresponding to Fig. 4 in the first embodiment. Note that, in the package 1 according to the third embodiment, the description will focus on parts that are different from the package 1 according to the first embodiment, and descriptions of the same parts will be omitted as appropriate.
[0062] The packaging body 1 according to the third embodiment includes, in the third direction D3, a flap label 9 and a packaging body 5 (cellulosic base material layer 15 and impermeable layer 19), in that order. The flap label 9 includes a base member 61 and a lid member 63 joined to the base member 61 so as to be repeatedly openable and closable.
[0063] The base member 61 and the lid member 63 that make up the flap label 9 are integrally formed and laminated. Specifically, a first adhesive layer (not shown) made of a first adhesive is provided on the inner surface (not shown) of the base member 61, and the base member 61 is fixed to the cellulose-based substrate layer 15 of the package body 5. The outer surface (not shown) of the base member 61 serves as a release surface that has releasability. A second adhesive layer (not shown) made of a second adhesive is provided on the inner surface (not shown) of the lid member 63, and is bonded to the outer surface (release surface) of the base member 61 so as to be repeatedly openable and closable. Note that the second adhesive layer (second adhesive) has lower adhesiveness than the first adhesive layer (first adhesive), and the outer surface of the base member 61 has a release surface. This allows the lid member 63 to be repeatedly opened and closed, and allows the base member 61 to remain fixed to the cellulose-based substrate layer 15 when the lid member 63 is opened and closed.
[0064] The cellulose-based base material layer 15 has a base material layer opening 17 in the removal section 7. The impermeable layer 19 has an impermeable layer opening 21 in the removal section 7. Specifically, the impermeable layer opening 21 is an impermeable layer opening forming section 21b that forms an impermeable layer opening (not shown) when the flap label 9 is opened at the start of use of the package 1. The outer edge of the impermeable layer opening forming section 21b is defined by a weakened line 27.
[0065] The base member 61 has a base member opening 65 at the removal section 7. Specifically, the base member opening 65 is a base member opening forming portion 65b that forms a base member opening (not shown) when the flap label 9 is opened at the start of use of the package 1. The outer edge of the base member opening forming portion 65b is defined by the weakened line 27.
[0066] In a plan view in the third direction D3, which corresponds to the removal direction of the removal portion 7, the area of the impermeable layer opening 21 of the impermeable layer 19 and the area of the base member opening 65 are smaller than the area of the base layer opening 17 of the cellulosic substrate layer 15. Furthermore, in a plan view in the third direction D3, the outer edge of the impermeable layer opening 21 of the impermeable layer 19 and the outer edge of the base member opening 65 of the base member 61 are positioned more inward than the outer edge of the base layer opening 17 of the cellulosic substrate layer 15. Furthermore, the outer edge of the impermeable layer opening 21a of the impermeable layer 19 and the outer edge of the base member opening 65 of the base member 61 are coincident in a plan view in the third direction D3.
[0067] The impermeable layer 19 has an impermeable layer inner surface 35 arranged on the inner surface 11 side and an impermeable layer outer surface 37 arranged on the outer surface 13 side in the third direction D3.
[0068] Before the package 1 is put into use, the impermeable layer 19 has a wall portion 19b that stands up toward the flap label 9 (outer cover member 23) and a top portion 19c that contacts the base member 61 of the flap label 9. The impermeable layer 19 is fixed to the base member 61 at the top portion 19c.
[0069] The weakened line 27 that defines the outer edge of the impermeable layer opening 21 is formed integrally with the impermeable layer 19 and the base member 61. Specifically, the package 1 is provided with the weakened line 27 at the outer edge of the top 19c of the impermeable layer 19, which is used to cut the impermeable layer opening-forming portion 21b and the base member opening-forming portion 65b when the flap label 9 (specifically, the lid member 63) is first opened, thereby forming the impermeable layer opening 21a and the base member opening (not shown).
[0070] The weakened line 27 is formed by cutting the impermeable layer 19 and the base member 61 from the impermeable layer 19 side so as to go around the outer edge of the top 19c and penetrate the impermeable layer 19 but not penetrate the base member 61. As a result, when the flap label 9 is first opened, the outer edge of the top 19c (the outer edge of the impermeable layer opening forming portion 21b and the outer edge of the base member opening forming portion 65b) is cut to form the impermeable layer opening 21a and the base member opening, and the wipes can be removed.
[0071] The packaging body 1 according to the third embodiment corresponds to the packaging body 1 according to the first embodiment in which the outer cover member 23 is replaced with the base member 61 of the flap label 9. Therefore, for further effects and advantages of the packaging body 1 according to the third embodiment, please refer to the packaging body 1 according to the first embodiment, and explanations thereof will be omitted.
[0072] [Fourth embodiment] Fig. 9 is a diagram for explaining a package 1 for wet wipes according to another embodiment of the present disclosure (hereinafter referred to as "fourth embodiment"). Fig. 9 is a diagram corresponding to Fig. 4 in the first embodiment. Note that, in the package 1 according to the fourth embodiment, the description will focus on parts that are different from the package 1 according to the first embodiment, and descriptions of the same parts will be omitted as appropriate.
[0073] The package 1 according to the fourth embodiment comprises a flap label 9 and a package body 5 (cellulosic base material layer 15 and impermeable layer 19) in that order in the third direction D3. The flap label 9 comprises a flap label inner surface 31 on the inner surface 11 side and a flap label outer surface 33 on the outer surface 13 side in the third direction D3. The flap label 9 comprises an adhesive layer (not shown) on the flap label inner surface 31, and the flap label 9 is fixed to the cellulose base material layer 15 by the adhesive layer.
[0074] The impermeable layer 19 has an impermeable layer inner surface 35 arranged on the inner surface 11 side and an impermeable layer outer surface 37 arranged on the outer surface 13 side in the third direction D3.
[0075] The cellulose-based substrate layer 15 has a substrate layer opening 17 in the removal section 7. The impermeable layer 19 has an impermeable layer opening 21 in the removal section 7. Specifically, the impermeable layer opening 21 is an impermeable layer opening 21 a that already has a through-hole for removing the wipes before the package 1 is first used.
[0076] In a plan view in the third direction D3, which corresponds to the removal direction of the removal section 7, the area of the impermeable layer opening 21 of the impermeable layer 19 is smaller than the area of the base material layer opening 17 of the cellulose-based base material layer 15. Furthermore, in a plan view in the third direction D3, the outer edge of the impermeable layer opening 21 of the impermeable layer 19 is positioned more inward than the outer edge of the base material layer opening 17 of the cellulose-based base material layer 15. The impermeable layer 19 has an impermeable layer inner portion 19a that is positioned more inward than the outer edge of the base material layer opening 17, and the impermeable layer inner portion 19a has a square ring structure.
[0077] In the package 1 according to the fourth embodiment, the impermeable layer opening 21 is an impermeable layer opening 21a that already has a through-hole for removing the wipes before the start of use of the package 1, and therefore has a simpler structure than the sheet package disclosed in Patent Document 1 and can prevent the medicinal solution from reaching the cellulose-based base material layer 15 to a certain extent before the start of use of the package 1. Furthermore, in the package 1, the impermeable layer inner portion 19a prevents the wipes 3 from coming into direct contact with the base material layer opening 17, thereby reducing the difficulty of removing the wipes 3.
[0078] In the package 1, an adhesive layer is provided on the flap label inner surface 31 of the flap label 9, and an adhesive layer is provided on the impermeable layer outer surface 37 of the impermeable layer 19. Therefore, before and after the start of use of the package 1, at least a portion of the impermeable layer inner portion 19a of the impermeable layer 19 can adhere to the flap label 9 and the cellulose-based base material layer 15, making it difficult for the chemical solution to migrate into the cellulose-based base material layer 15.
[0079] The wet wipes package according to the present disclosure may have a first direction, a second direction, and a third direction that are perpendicular to each other. The third direction is the direction in which the wipes are stacked, and the first and second directions that are perpendicular to each other may be planar directions of the wipes. For example, the first and second directions may be the longitudinal and lateral directions of the package, respectively.
[0080] The wet wipes package according to the present disclosure includes a package body containing a plurality of wipes and a medicinal solution. The plurality of wipes may be any material used as a substrate for wet wipes in the art, including, but not limited to, fabrics such as nonwoven fabrics, woven fabrics, and knitted fabrics. The fabrics may include hydrophilic fibers, hydrophobic fibers, heat-sealable fibers, etc.
[0081] The hydrophilic fibers include cellulosic fibers such as natural cellulose fibers, regenerated cellulose fibers, refined cellulose fibers, and semi-synthetic cellulose fibers. The natural cellulose fibers include plant fibers such as pulp fibers, seed hair fibers (e.g., cotton fibers), bast fibers (e.g., hemp), leaf vein fibers (e.g., Manila hemp), and fruit fibers (e.g., palm).
[0082] The pulp fibers include those known in the art as pulp fibers, such as wood pulp fibers and non-wood pulp fibers. Examples of the wood pulp fibers include softwood pulp fibers and hardwood pulp fibers. Examples of the non-wood pulp fibers include straw pulp fibers, bagasse pulp fibers, reed pulp fibers, kenaf pulp fibers, mulberry pulp fibers, bamboo pulp fibers, hemp pulp fibers, and cotton pulp fibers (e.g., cotton linter fibers). The pulp fibers may be waste paper, recycled pulp fibers, etc.
[0083] The cotton fiber includes Hirsutum cotton fiber (e.g., upland cotton), Barbadense cotton fiber, Arboreum cotton fiber, and Helbaceum cotton fiber. The cotton fiber may also be organic cotton fiber or Pre-Organic Cotton (trademark) fiber. Organic cotton fiber refers to cotton certified by GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard).
[0084] Examples of the regenerated cellulose fibers include rayon, for example, viscose rayon obtained from viscose, polynosic and modal, and cuprammonium rayon (also called "cupra") obtained from a cuprammonium salt solution of cellulose.
[0085] The purified cellulose fiber includes lyocell, specifically, a fiber obtained by dissolving pulp in an aqueous solution of N-methylmorpholine N-oxide to form a spinning dope (dope) and extruding the dope into a dilute solution of N-methylmorpholine N-oxide. The purified cellulose is commercially available, for example, under the trade name Tencel (trademark). The semi-synthetic fiber includes semi-synthetic cellulose, such as acetate fibers, e.g., triacetate and diacetate fibers.
[0086] The hydrophobic fibers include those commonly used in the art, such as synthetic fibers. The synthetic fibers may include those containing a single component, such as a single fiber, or those containing multiple components, such as a composite fiber. The synthetic fibers may also be biomass plastics, recycled fibers, etc.
[0087] Examples of the above components include polyolefin-based polymers such as polyethylene and polypropylene; polyester-based polymers such as terephthalate-based polymers such as polyethylene terephthalate (PET), polybutylene terephthalate, and polypentylene terephthalate; polyamide-based polymers such as nylon 6 and nylon 6,6; acrylic-based polymers; polyacrylonitrile-based polymers; and modified products thereof.
[0088] The hydrophobic fiber may include a water-repellent cellulosic fiber obtained by treating the cellulosic fiber with a water-repellent agent. For clarity, the cellulosic fiber may also be referred to as a hydrophilic cellulosic fiber. The water-repellent cellulosic fiber (i) prevents adjacent wet wipe portions from sticking together and facilitates separation, and (ii) is biodegradable, reducing environmental impact.
[0089] The water-repellent cellulose fibers are disclosed in, for example, JP 2002-266241 A, JP 2003-20570 A, JP 2019-65443 A, JP 2022-58301 A, and the like. For example, Ecorepellent (trade name, water-repellent viscose rayon) manufactured by Daiwabo Rayon Co., Ltd., and Olea (trade name, water-repellent viscose rayon) manufactured by Kelheim Fibres GmbH, and the like are commercially available.
[0090] When the fabric contains the heat-fusible fibers, and heat fusion between the heat-fusible fibers and the heat-fusible fibers, or between the heat-fusible fibers and the cellulosic fibers (water-repellent cellulosic fibers and hydrophilic cellulosic fibers), the strength of the fabric and, ultimately, the wet strength of the wet wipes can be increased. When the heat-fusible fibers are heat-fused together, the strength of the fabric and, ultimately, the wet strength of the wet wipes can be further increased.
[0091] The heat-fusible fibers can be any of those used in the art, specifically, fibers containing a low-melting thermoplastic resin and a high-melting thermoplastic resin, and are preferably those containing a low-melting thermoplastic resin such as polyethylene resin or low-melting polypropylene on at least the surface to fuse the heat-fusible fibers together. Examples of the heat-fusible fibers include monocomponent fibers of polyethylene resin, monocomponent fibers of polypropylene resin, core-sheath type composite synthetic fibers having a polyethylene terephthalate resin core and a polyethylene resin sheath, core-sheath type composite synthetic fibers having a polypropylene resin core and a polyethylene resin sheath, core-sheath type composite synthetic fibers having a high-melting polypropylene resin core and a low-melting polypropylene resin sheath, side-by-side type composite synthetic fibers made of polyethylene terephthalate resin and polyethylene resin, and side-by-side type composite synthetic fibers made of polypropylene resin and polyethylene resin.
[0092] The heat-fusible fiber is preferably a biodegradable heat-fusible fiber, which makes the fabric, and ultimately the wet wipes, more biodegradable. Examples of the low-melting-point thermoplastic resin constituting the biodegradable heat-fusible fiber include polybutylene succinate, poly(hydroxybutyrate / hydroxyhexanoate), polycaprolactone, poly(caprolactone / butylene succinate), poly(butylene succinate / adipate), poly(butylene succinate / carbonate), poly(butylene adipate / terephthalate), polyethylene succinate, and polylactic acid.
[0093] Examples of the high-melting thermoplastic resin constituting the biodegradable heat-fusible fiber include polylactic acid, polyhydroxybutyrate, polyglycolic acid, and cellulose acetate. The heat-fusible fiber may be a biomass plastic or a recycled fiber.
[0094] As the nonwoven fabric, any nonwoven fabric (e.g., spunlace nonwoven fabric, air-through nonwoven fabric, spunbond nonwoven fabric, point-bond nonwoven fabric, etc.) produced by a known method such as a dry method, a wet method, a water jet method, a direct spinning method, an air-laid method, a needle punch method, or a felt method can be used, and a spunlace nonwoven fabric having high wet strength is preferred.
[0095] The wipes may be stacked in a manner known in the art, for example, stacked from bottom to top in the third direction, and arranged such that the upper end of a lower wet wipe overlaps the lower end of an adjacent upper wet wipe, with the upper end of the lower wet wipe being higher than the lower end of the upper wet wipe.
[0096] The chemical solution may be one commonly used in the art depending on the intended use of the wet wipes. For example, the chemical solution may contain water, a water-soluble solvent such as alcohol (e.g., ethanol), an antibacterial agent, an additive, etc. In the package according to the present disclosure, from the viewpoint of the problem, the chemical solution preferably contains water in an amount of 50% by mass or more, more preferably 60% by mass or more, even more preferably 70% by mass or more, even more preferably 80% by mass or more, and even more preferably 90% by mass or more.
[0097] In the package according to the present disclosure, the package body has an inner surface and an outer surface. The inner surface refers to the surface of the package body on which the wipes and the medicinal solution are held. The package body includes a cellulose-based substrate layer disposed on the outer surface side and an impermeable layer disposed on the inner surface side, and may include other layers.
[0098] The cellulosic substrate layer may be a layer containing the above-mentioned hydrophilic fibers, such as pulp fibers, regenerated cellulosic fibers (e.g., rayon), etc. The cellulosic substrate layer may have a thickness of, for example, 0.05 to 0.5 mm.
[0099] When the cellulose-based substrate layer contains pulp fibers, the rigidity of the package body (packaging) increases, making it less likely to be crushed when the package body according to the present disclosure is stored in a storage container. Furthermore, when the cellulose-based substrate layer contains pulp fibers, the rigidity of the package body tends to increase, making it easier for wipes to get caught in the base layer opening of the cellulose-based substrate layer. In the package according to the present disclosure, the inner portion of the impermeable layer prevents the wipes from coming into direct contact with the base layer opening, making it less difficult to remove the wipes. Furthermore, when the cellulose-based substrate layer contains pulp fibers, for example, when the package body contains 50% by mass or more of pulp fibers, the package body can be disposed of as paper waste.
[0100] When the cellulose-based substrate layer contains regenerated cellulose fibers (e.g., rayon), refined cellulose fibers, semi-synthetic fibers, etc., there are effects such as reducing the generation of noise caused by deformation of the packaging body when using the wet wipes packaging, and making the wet wipes packaging more luxurious.
[0101] From the viewpoint of protecting the cellulose-based substrate layer, the impermeable layer can be fixed directly or indirectly to the cellulose-based substrate layer, and is preferably fixed directly to the cellulose-based substrate layer. Furthermore, from the viewpoint of protecting the cellulose-based substrate layer, the impermeable layer preferably covers at least 50%, more preferably at least 60%, even more preferably at least 70%, even more preferably at least 80%, and even more preferably at least 90% of the inner surface of the package body. Furthermore, the impermeable layer is preferably arranged as an integrated member. This is because, if the impermeable layer is composed of multiple separate members, the chemical solution may penetrate into the cellulose-based substrate layer through gaps between the separate members.
[0102] The impermeable layer is not particularly limited as long as it does not allow water to pass through, and may include, for example, a barrier layer, a sealant layer, a combination thereof, etc. Examples of materials for the barrier layer include resin films such as polyethylene terephthalate and nylon, onto which alumina, silica, etc. are vapor-deposited. Examples of materials for the sealant layer include thin films having heat-sealing properties, such as low-density polyethylene (LDPE) and non-axially oriented polypropylene (CPP).
[0103] Examples of materials for the impermeable layer include films, such as synthetic resin films, for example, polyolefins (such as polyethylene and polypropylene), polyethylene terephthalate, polyesters, polyamides, and polyvinyl chloride.
[0104] In the above-mentioned package body, when the flap label is unopened, it is preferable that at least a portion of the cellulose-based substrate layer is exposed at the cross section of the base layer opening of the cellulose-based substrate layer, and when the flap label is unopened, it is preferable that at least 30%, more preferably at least 50%, even more preferably at least 70%, and even more preferably at least 90% of the total cross-sectional area of the cellulose-based substrate layer is exposed at the cross section of the base layer opening. Here, the above-mentioned "exposed" means that the cross section of the cellulose-based substrate layer is not directly or indirectly covered with a waterproof material such as a film.
[0105] The packaging body includes a dispensing section for dispensing wipes and a flap label that directly or indirectly covers the dispensing section so that the dispensing section can be repeatedly opened and closed. The dispensing section refers to the area that overlaps with the flap label in the third direction and the area between the flap label and the packaging body.
[0106] The material for the flap label can be any material known in the art as a flap label, without limitation, and examples thereof include a film, a laminate of the above-mentioned layer containing hydrophilic fibers and a film, etc. Furthermore, when the material for the flap label is a film, the flap label may be provided with a tear-off section that enables the flap label to be separated from the package body, so that the flap label can be separated and recycled.
[0107] In the package according to the present disclosure, the cellulose-based base layer has a base layer opening in the removal section, and the impermeable layer has an impermeable layer opening in the removal section, which is either an impermeable layer opening or an impermeable layer opening-forming section capable of forming the impermeable layer opening. The impermeable layer opening refers to an impermeable layer opening that already has a through-hole for removing wipes before the package is in use (when the flap label is unopened). The impermeable layer opening-forming section refers to an impermeable layer opening that does not have a through-hole for removing wipes before the package is in use, but has a through-hole for removing wipes after the package is in use (after the flap label is opened).
[0108] The impermeable layer opening-forming portion is not particularly limited as long as it can form an impermeable layer opening when the package is first used (e.g., when a flap label is first opened), but can be defined, for example, by a weakened line. The weakened line can be, for example, a cut portion that is disposed continuously or intermittently along the impermeable layer opening-forming portion in a direction perpendicular to the removal direction (e.g., a first direction and a second direction) and that may or may not penetrate in the removal direction (e.g., a third direction).
[0109] In a plan view in the removal direction of the removal section, the entire outer edge of the impermeable layer opening is located inward from the outer edge of the base layer opening. Furthermore, in a plan view in the removal direction of the removal section, the area of the impermeable layer opening is smaller than the area of the base layer opening. Note that, in a plan view in the removal direction of the removal section, a portion of the impermeable layer located inward from the outer edge of the base layer opening is sometimes referred to as the "inner portion of the impermeable layer." This prevents the wipe from directly contacting the base layer opening, thereby preventing the chemical solution from migrating into the cellulose-based base layer and making it difficult to remove the wipe.
[0110] The package according to the present disclosure may further include a water-impermeable outer cover member between the flap label and the package body at the access section. The outer cover member may include an outer cover member opening or an outer cover member opening-forming portion capable of forming the outer cover member opening. This makes it easier to protect the package body when the flap label is opened and closed, and makes the flap label less susceptible to the effects of wetting the cellulose-based base material layer, etc.
[0111] Examples of materials for the impermeable outer cover member include films, such as synthetic resin films, including polyolefins (e.g., polyethylene, polypropylene, etc.), polyethylene terephthalate, polyester, polyamide, and polyvinyl chloride. The impermeable outer cover member may have a release surface on the flap label side, which allows the flap label to be easily opened and closed repeatedly.
[0112] When the package according to the present disclosure includes the outer cover member, the outer cover member opening may have the same area as the base material layer opening, a larger area than the base material layer opening, or a smaller area than the base material layer opening in a plan view in the removal direction of the removal section. The outer cover member opening preferably has the same area as the base material layer opening or a smaller area than the base material layer opening. This is because the outer cover member can more easily protect the cellulose-based base material layer.
[0113] When the outer cover member opening has a smaller area than the base material layer opening, it is preferable that, in a plan view in the removal direction of the removal section, at least a part of the outer edge of the outer cover member opening is located inside the outer edge of the base material layer opening, and it is also preferable that the entire outer edge of the outer cover member opening is located inside the outer edge of the base material layer opening. This makes it less likely that the wipes will come into direct contact with the cellulose-based base material layer when removed from the package. Note that, in a plan view in the removal direction of the removal section, the part of the outer cover member that is located inside the outer edge of the base material layer opening is sometimes referred to as the inner part of the outer cover member.
[0114] In this case, it is preferable that at least a portion of the inner part of the outer cover member is fixed to at least a portion of the inner part of the impermeable layer along the outer edge of the opening of the outer cover member (along the outer edge of the opening of the impermeable layer), and that at least a portion of the inner part of the outer cover member is fixed to at least a portion of the inner part of the impermeable layer around the outer edge of the opening of the outer cover member (around the outer edge of the opening of the impermeable layer). This makes it difficult for the medicinal solution to migrate to the cellulose-based substrate in the cross section of the opening of the substrate layer in the package.
[0115] From the viewpoint that at least a portion of the inner portion of the outer cover member is fixed to at least a portion of the inner portion of the impermeable layer, the area of the opening of the outer cover member, when viewed in a plane in the removal direction of the removal section, may be the same as the impermeable layer opening of the impermeable layer, may be larger than the impermeable layer opening of the impermeable layer, or may be smaller than the impermeable layer opening of the impermeable layer, and it is preferable that, when viewed in a plane in the removal direction of the removal section, the opening of the outer cover member has the same area as the impermeable layer opening of the impermeable layer and has an area larger than the impermeable layer opening of the impermeable layer.
[0116] When the outer cover member opening of the outer cover member has the same area as the impermeable layer opening of the impermeable layer, it is preferable that the outer edge of the outer cover member opening of the outer cover member coincides with the outer edge of the impermeable layer opening of the impermeable layer in a plan view in the removal direction of the removal section, thereby making it possible to easily form the outer edge of the outer cover member opening of the outer cover member and the outer edge of the impermeable layer opening of the impermeable layer in the same process.
[0117] When the outer cover member opening of the outer cover member has a larger area than the impermeable layer opening of the impermeable layer, it is preferable that the outer edge of the outer cover member opening of the outer cover member be positioned outward from the outer edge of the impermeable layer opening of the impermeable layer in a plan view in the removal direction of the removal section. This makes it difficult for an adhesive layer made of adhesive or the like to come into contact with and be transferred to the wipes, if any, disposed on the inner surface of the outer cover member of the outer cover member.
[0118] When the outer edge of the outer cover member opening is the same as the outer edge of the base material layer opening, it is preferable that the outer edge of the outer cover member opening and the outer edge of the base material layer opening coincide with each other in a plan view in the removal direction of the removal portion, thereby making it possible to easily form the base material layer opening and the outer cover member opening in the same process.
[0119] The outer cover member opening refers to an outer cover member opening that already has a through-hole for removing wipes before the package starts to be used (when the flap label is unopened), and the outer cover member opening forming portion refers to an outer cover member opening that does not have a through-hole for removing wipes before the package starts to be used, but has a through-hole for removing wipes after the package starts to be used (after the flap label is opened).
[0120] The outer cover member opening-forming portion is not particularly limited as long as it can form an outer cover member opening when the package is first used (e.g., when a flap label is first opened), but can be defined, for example, by a weakened line. The weakened line can be, for example, a cut portion that is disposed continuously or intermittently along the outer cover member opening-forming portion in a direction perpendicular to the removal direction (e.g., a first direction and a second direction) and that may or may not penetrate in the removal direction (e.g., a third direction).
[0121] When a package according to the present disclosure includes an outer cover member, and when the outer edge of the impermeable layer opening-forming portion coincides with the outer cover member opening-forming portion in a plan view of the package in the removal direction, the weakened line defining the impermeable layer opening-forming portion and the weakened line defining the outer cover member opening-forming portion may be integrally formed weakened lines. This allows the impermeable layer opening-forming portion and the outer cover member opening-forming portion to be easily formed. Furthermore, when first using the package according to the present disclosure, for example, when opening the flap label for the first time, it becomes easier to properly form the impermeable layer opening and the outer cover member opening from the impermeable layer opening-forming portion and the outer cover member opening-forming portion, respectively.
[0122] The integrally formed weakened lines may be, for example, continuously or intermittently arranged along the impermeable layer opening-forming portion and the outer cover member opening-forming portion in a direction perpendicular to the removal direction (e.g., the first direction and the second direction), and may be cut portions that penetrate the impermeable layer but not the outer cover member in the removal direction (e.g., the third direction).Furthermore, the integrally formed weakened lines may be, for example, intermittently arranged along the impermeable layer opening-forming portion and the outer cover member opening-forming portion in a direction perpendicular to the removal direction (e.g., the first direction and the second direction), and may be cut portions that penetrate the impermeable layer and the outer cover member in the removal direction (e.g., the third direction).
[0123] The weakened lines and integrally formed weakened lines are preferably configured to prevent the medicinal solution held inside the package body from reaching the flap label before use of the package. This is from the viewpoint of retaining the medicinal solution. From this viewpoint, for example, when the package according to the present disclosure does not include an outer cover member, the weakened line formed in the impermeable layer opening-forming portion can be a cut portion that does not penetrate the impermeable layer. When the package according to the present disclosure includes an outer cover member, the weakened line formed in the outer cover member opening-forming portion can be a cut portion that does not penetrate the outer cover member.
[0124] In the package according to the present disclosure, the flap label can include a base member disposed on the package body side and a lid member joined to the base member so as to be repeatedly openable and closable, thereby protecting the package body when the lid member is opened and closed, and making the opening and closing of the lid member less susceptible to the effects of, for example, wetting of the cellulose-based base material layer.
[0125] The flap label having the lid member and base member may have the lid member and base member fixed integrally to the package body, for example, the lid member and base member may be laminated. This simplifies the structure and manufacturing of the wet wipes package. Examples of materials for the lid member include a film and a layer containing the hydrophilic fiber described above. Examples of materials for the base member include the same materials as those for the outer cover member described below.
[0126] The base member may have a base member opening for removing the wipes or a base member opening-forming portion capable of forming the base member at the removal portion. This allows the wipes to be easily removed from the package. The base member opening-forming portion is not particularly limited as long as it is capable of forming a base member opening when the package is first used (e.g., when the flap label is first opened), but it may be defined, for example, by a weakened line. The weakened line may be, for example, a cut portion that is arranged continuously or intermittently along the base member opening-forming portion in a direction perpendicular to the removal direction (e.g., a first direction or a second direction) and that penetrates or does not penetrate in the removal direction (e.g., a third direction).
[0127] In the package according to the present disclosure, when the flap label includes a lid member and a base member, and the impermeable layer includes an impermeable layer opening-forming portion and the base member includes a base member opening-forming portion, the weakened line defining the impermeable layer opening-forming portion and the weakened line defining the base member opening-forming portion may be integrally formed. This allows the impermeable layer opening to be formed from the impermeable layer opening-forming portion and the base member opening to be easily formed from the base member opening-forming portion when the flap label (specifically, the lid member) is first opened when the package according to the present disclosure is first used.
[0128] The integrally formed weakened lines may be, for example, continuously or intermittently arranged along the impermeable layer opening-forming portion and the base member opening-forming portion in a direction perpendicular to the removal direction (e.g., the first direction and the second direction), and may be cut portions that penetrate the impermeable layer but not the base member in the removal direction (e.g., the third direction). Furthermore, the integrally formed weakened lines may be, for example, intermittently arranged along the impermeable layer opening-forming portion and the base member opening-forming portion in a direction perpendicular to the removal direction (e.g., the first direction and the second direction), and may be cut portions that penetrate the impermeable layer and the base member in the removal direction (e.g., the third direction).
[0129] The integrally formed weakened line is preferably configured to prevent the medicinal solution held inside the package body from reaching the lid member of the flap label before the package is first used. This is from the perspective of retaining the medicinal solution. From this perspective, for example, the weakened line formed in the base member can be a cut portion that does not penetrate the base member. Since the base member opening of the base member is the same as the outer cover member opening of the outer cover member, please refer to the section regarding the outer cover member opening and omit other explanations.
[0130] The flap label may have an adhesive layer made of a pressure-sensitive adhesive on its inner surface (the surface facing the impermeable layer) that faces the inside of the package body, and the adhesive layer may bond the flap label to the package body directly or indirectly so that it can be repeatedly opened and closed. This allows the portion of the impermeable layer that is located inside the base layer opening of the package body, i.e., a part of the portion inside the impermeable layer, to adhere to the flap label when the flap label is closed after starting to use the wet wipes, making it difficult for the chemical solution to transfer to the cellulose-based base material.
[0131] The outer surface of the impermeable layer, which faces the flap label, may be provided with an adhesive, i.e., an adhesive layer made of a pressure-sensitive adhesive, and the impermeable layer may be fixed directly or indirectly to the cellulose-based substrate layer by the adhesive layer. As a result, when the flap label is closed after starting to use the wet wipes, a part of the inner part of the impermeable layer can adhere to the cellulose-based substrate, the flap label, etc. at the cross section of the substrate layer opening, making it difficult for the chemical solution to transfer to the cellulose-based substrate.
[0132] The impermeable layer may or may not have an adhesive layer on its inner surface. For example, when the impermeable layer forms the inner surface of the package body, the impermeable layer generally does not have an adhesive layer on its inner surface so that components of the adhesive layer do not migrate to the wipes.
[0133] The impermeable layer openings of the impermeable layer (impermeable layer openings and impermeable layer opening-forming portions), the base layer openings of the cellulose-based base material layer, the outer cover member openings of the optional outer cover member (outer cover member openings and outer cover member opening-forming portions), and the optional base member openings of the base member (hereinafter, these openings may be collectively referred to simply as "openings") can have any shape. The openings can be, for example, a perfect circle, an ellipse (e.g., an ellipse having a major axis in a first direction), a rounded square, a rounded rectangle (e.g., a rounded rectangle having a long side in a first direction), etc.
[0134] For example, in a packaging body according to the present disclosure, when the first direction is the longitudinal direction and the opening is long in the first direction (for example, an ellipse with its major axis in the first direction, or a rounded rectangle with its long side in the first direction), it becomes easier to prevent the wet wipes from coming into direct contact with the opening (particularly the base material layer opening) when the wipes are removed from the outlet.
[0135] The package according to the present disclosure can be manufactured by any method. For example, the method for manufacturing the package according to the present disclosure (hereinafter may be referred to as the "manufacturing method according to the present disclosure") may include, for example, the following steps: - a preparation step of preparing a laminate of the cellulose-based base material layer having the base material layer opening and the impermeable layer not having the impermeable layer opening (hereinafter may be referred to as the "preparation step") - an impermeable layer opening formation step of forming the impermeable layer opening in an area of the laminate that overlaps with the base material layer opening (hereinafter may be referred to as the "impermeable layer opening formation step").
[0136] In the preparation step, a laminate is prepared, which includes a cellulosic substrate layer having a substrate layer opening and an impermeable layer having no impermeable layer opening. In the preparation step, the cellulosic substrate layer can be fixed to the impermeable layer by, for example, an adhesive layer disposed on the outer surface of the impermeable layer. The laminate can further include an outer cover member, a flap label, etc.
[0137] In the impermeable layer opening forming step, openings in the impermeable layer are formed in areas of the laminate that overlap with the openings in the base layer. The openings in the impermeable layer can be formed by a method known in the art, for example, by passing the laminate through a cutter unit composed of a cutter roll having the same blades as the openings in the impermeable layer and an anvil roll.
[0138] If the laminate further includes an outer cover member, the impermeable layer opening of the impermeable layer and the outer cover member opening of the outer cover member may be formed simultaneously in the impermeable layer opening forming step, and for example, the weakened line defining the impermeable layer opening forming portion and the weakened line defining the outer cover member opening forming portion may be formed as an integrally formed weakened line.
[0139] The manufacturing method according to the present disclosure may further include, before the preparation step, a laminate formation step of laminating the cellulosic substrate layer having the substrate layer opening and the impermeable layer not having the impermeable layer opening to form a laminate. In the laminate formation step, in addition to the cellulosic substrate layer having the substrate layer opening and the impermeable layer not having the impermeable layer opening, a flap label, an optional outer cover member, etc. may also be laminated.
[0140] The manufacturing method of the present disclosure can be used to form a single package in a batch process, or can be used to form multiple packages in a continuous process. The manufacturing method of the present disclosure can include further steps known in the art to form a package of wet wipes.
