Description

VESSEL MANIPULATING DEVICE AND MEDICAL ANALYZER INCLUDING THE SAMEFIELD

[0001] The present application relates to a vessel manipulating device for grasping and releasing a vessel (e.g., a reaction cup) and a medical analyzer (e.g., an immunoassay analyzer) including the vessel manipulating device.BACKGROUND

[0002] The content in this section only provides background information related to the present application, which does not necessarily constitute the prior art.

[0003] A medical analyzer may be used to detect and analyze some biochemical substances in body fluids (for example, blood) , and provide information basis for clinical immunity, diagnosis, treatment, prognosis and health status of diseases. The medical analyzer generally includes a vessel manipulating device, which is configured to clamp, transport or place a vessel (or may be called "a reaction cup" or "a test tube" ) containing detection substances or reagents, thus allowing the vessel to be in a proper position.

[0004] In a process of manipulating the vessel, it is undesirable that the fluid in the vessel spills out, resulting in problems such as contamination. To this end, the existing vessel manipulating device includes a pneumatic system, which may adjust a pressure so that a force pushing the vessel is soft and uniform. When it is necessary to release the vessel from a vessel picking-up part of the vessel manipulating device, the pneumatic system generates a desired pressure and applies the desired pressure to the vessel, thereby gently pushing the vessel out of the vessel picking-up part.SUMMARY

[0005] TECHNICAL PROBLEMS

[0006] The pneumatic system for releasing or placing a vessel in the vessel manipulating device described above generally has problems of air leakage and pressure adjustment, which reduces the stability and reliability of the pneumatic system.

[0007] The pneumatic system includes various pipelines, valves, regulating devices, sensors and the like, resulting in complicated structure and high cost. In addition, the compatibility between the pneumatic system and other devices, equipment or instruments will be poor due to its complex structure.

[0008] In view of at least one of the problems of the pneumatic system mentioned above, a solution for manipulating the vessel is proposed, in which an electromagnetic effect, instead of the complicated pneumatic system, is used to release or place the vessel.TECHNICAL SOLUTION

[0009] According to an aspect of the present application, a vessel manipulating device for a medical analyzer is provided. The vessel manipulating device includes: a frame; a vessel picking-up part fixed to the frame and having an elastic clamping part for clamping a vessel; an ejector rod slidably arranged with respect to the vessel picking-up part and configured to push the vessel so as to release the vessel from the elastic clamping part; and an electromagnetic release part having a release rod and a solenoid, where the release rod moves toward the ejector rod when the solenoid is energized and exerts a pushing force on the ejector rod to release the vessel.

[0010] In some embodiments according to the present application, the release rod is arranged in such a way that the release rod abuts against the ejector rod under the action of gravity of the release rod.

[0011] In some embodiments according to the present application, a buffer member is provided at an end of the release rod adjacent to the ejector rod, and the buffer member is configured to buffer an impact of the release rod on the ejector rod.

[0012] In some embodiments according to the present application, the release rod is connected to the ejector rod.

[0013] In some embodiments according to the present application, the release rod is threadedly connected to the ejector rod.

[0014] In some embodiments according to the present application, the vessel manipulating device further includes a locking member configured to lock the release rod relative to the ejector rod.

[0015] In some embodiments according to the present application, the release rod and the  ejector rod are formed as one piece.

[0016] In some embodiments according to the present application, the vessel manipulating device further includes a framework, and the frame is coupled to the framework in such a way that the frame is movable in at least one direction relative to the framework.

[0017] In some embodiments according to the present application, the elastic clamping part includes a plurality of collet fingers arranged in a circumferential direction.

[0018] In another aspect of the present application, a medical analyzer is provided, which includes the vessel manipulating device described above.

[0019] In some embodiments according to the present application, the medical analyzer is an immunoassay analyzer.

[0020] TECHNICAL EFFECTS

[0021] In the vessel manipulating device and the medical analyzer according to the present application, the pneumatic system in the prior art is replaced by the electromagnetic release part, thereby remarkably simplifying the structure, reducing the cost, improving the reliability and stability, providing compatibility and the like.

[0022] The release rod of the electromagnetic release part may always be in contact with or integrated with the ejector rod for pushing the vessel, so that the crash or impact of the release rod on the ejector rod can be avoided, thus realizing a process of releasing or placing the vessel more stable. In this way, a sloshing amplitude of the fluid (for example, the reaction solution) in the vessel is significantly reduced, and thus the fluid in the vessel can be effectively prevented from splashing on external components (for example, the ejector rod) , and the contamination caused thereby can be avoided.

[0023] A buffer member may be provided at an end of the release rod, thereby further reducing the crash or impact, and also reducing a noise caused by the crash or impact.

[0024] The effects of the present application are not limited to those mentioned above, and those skilled in the art will clearly understand additional other effects not described above from the description of the appended claims.BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0043] The vessel picking-up and releasing unit according to the present application will be described in detail with reference to the drawings.

[0044] FIG. 3 to FIG. 5 show a vessel picking-up and releasing unit 100 according to a first embodiment of the present application. FIG. 3 is a schematic sectional view showing a longitudinal section of the vessel picking-up and releasing unit 100 according to the first embodiment of the present application, wherein the vessel picking-up and releasing unit 100 is in a state of grasping and holding a vessel. FIG. 4 is a schematic sectional view similar to the longitudinal section of the vessel picking-up and releasing unit 100 of FIG. 3, wherein the vessel picking-up and releasing unit 100 is in a state where the vessel is released. FIG. 5 is a schematic exploded perspective view showing the vessel picking-up and releasing unit 100 of FIG. 3 and FIG. 4.

[0045] Referring to FIG. 3 to FIG. 5, the vessel picking-up and releasing unit 100 includes a frame 110, a vessel picking-up part 130, an ejector rod 150 and an electromagnetic release part 170.

[0046] The frame 110 is used to support or mount the vessel picking-up part 130 and the electromagnetic release part 170. The structure of the frame 110 should not be limited in the present application, as long as its function can be realized.

[0047] The vessel picking-up part 130 includes a base part 131 and an elastic clamping part 133 extending from the base part 131. In the example shown in the figures, the elastic clamping part 133 includes a plurality of collet fingers arranged in a circumferential direction. The plurality of collet fingers may be equally spaced from each other in the circumferential direction to provide a uniform clamping force to the vessel. The number of the collet fingers is at least two. The base part 131 is fixed to the frame 110. When the frame 110 is driven by the moving part 13 to move downward toward the vessel 20, the vessel picking-up part 130 moves downward with the frame 110, so that the elastic clamping part 133 contacts the vessel 20 and expands and deforms to receive the vessel 20 until the vessel 20 reaches a predetermined clamping position. Then, the frame 110 moves upward with the vessel picking-up part 130, while the vessel 20 is clamped in the elastic clamping part 133.

[0048] In the example shown in the figures, the base part 131 has a hollow cylindrical shape. The elastic clamping part 133 is in a form of an elongated arm. The elastic clamping part 133 extends from the base part 131 in an axial direction. When the elastic clamping part 133 is not deformed, a reduced opening can be defined to ensure sufficient clamping force or clamping area. A free end of the elastic clamping part 133 for forming the opening may have an outwardly expanding inclined surface 133a so as to receive the vessel 20.

[0049] It should be understood that the structure of the vessel picking-up part 130 should not be limited to the specific example shown in the figures, but may be varied as long as the functions described herein can be implemented. In addition, the structure of the elastic clamping part 133 should not be limited to the specific example shown in the figures, but may be varied as long as the functions described herein can be implemented.

[0050] The ejector rod 150 is slidably accommodated in the vessel picking-up part 130. The ejector rod 150 may have a cylindrical rod portion 153 and a head portion 151 located at an end (upper end in the figures) of the rod portion 153. The head portion 151 has a larger size,  for example, a larger diameter, than that of the rod portion 153, thereby serving as a stopper for the ejector rod 150. When the ejector rod 150 moves downward relative to the vessel picking-up part 130, the head portion 151 abuts against the elastic clamping part 133 of the vessel picking-up part 130, thereby preventing the ejector rod 150 from moving downward any further.

[0051] When the vessel picking-up part 130 moves downward to pick up the vessel 20, as the vessel 20 gradually enters the elastic clamping part 133, the vessel 20 pushes the ejector rod 150 in the vertical upward direction until it moves to the desired clamping position (as shown in FIG. 3) . When the ejector rod 150 is pushed downwards, the ejector rod 150 pushes the vessel 20 to move downwards along the elastic clamping part 133 until the vessel 20 is pushed out of the vessel picking-up part 130 (as shown in FIG. 4) , that is, the vessel 20 is released or putted in place.

[0052] When the ejector rod 150 pushes the vessel 20 out of the vessel picking-up part 130, an end of the rod portion 153 is flush with an end of the elastic clamping part 133, or slightly beyond the end of the elastic clamping part 133, so as to ensure that the vessel 20 can be completely released.

[0053] It should be understood that the structure of the ejector rod 150 should not be limited to the specific example shown in the figures, but may be varied as long as the functions described herein can be implemented.

[0054] The electromagnetic release part 170 includes a solenoid 171 and a release rod 173 provided in the solenoid 171. The solenoid 171 may be fixed to the frame 110. Alternatively, the solenoid 171 may be fixed to the base part 131 of the vessel picking-up part 130. When the solenoid 171 is energized, the release rod 173 is moved downward under the electromagnetic effect to drive the ejector rod 150 to also move downward, thereby releasing the vessel 20.

[0055] In the present application, a pushing force is provided by the solenoid, which has a compact structure, a reduced number of components and small overall inertia, so that it is easier to drive the ejector rod or the vessel, and the reliability can be improved and the cost can be reduced.

[0056] The release rod 173 may include a large-diameter section 173a and a small-diameter  section 173b, whereby a stop structure for limiting a maximum displacement of the release rod 173 is formed at a transition section between the large-diameter section 173a and the small-diameter section 173b. The stop structure will not be described in detail herein, as long as the function described herein can be realized.

[0057] A buffer member 175 is provided at the end (lower end in the figure) of the release rod 173 adjacent to the ejector rod 150. The buffer member 175 may be made of rubber or elastomer, and is configured to buffer the impact of the release rod 173 on the ejector rod 150.

[0058] It should be understood that the structure and material of the buffer member should not be limited to the specific examples described herein or shown in the drawings, but may be varied as long as the functions described herein can be implemented.

[0059] The release rod 173 may be arranged to slide under its gravity so as to always abut against the ejector rod 150. That is, before releasing the vessel 20 (as shown in FIG. 3) , the release rod 173 is in contact with the ejector rod 150 with no gap therebetween. In this way, when the vessel 20 needs to be released, the solenoid 171 is energized, and the release rod 173 directly pushes the ejector rod 150, which in turn directly pushes the vessel 20, so that the crash or impact on the vessel 20 can be significantly reduced. Therefore, the process of releasing or placing the vessel 20 becomes stable, and a sloshing amplitude of the fluid in the vessel 20 is significantly reduced, thus effectively preventing the fluid in the vessel 20 from splashing on external components (for example, the ejector rod 150) , and avoiding a further affecting on the accuracy of the detection result caused by the contamination.

[0060] A vessel picking-up and releasing unit 200 according to a second embodiment of the present application will be described below with reference to FIG. 6 and FIG. 7. FIG. 6 is a schematic sectional view showing a longitudinal section of the vessel picking-up and releasing unit according to the second embodiment of the present application, and FIG. 7 is a schematic sectional view showing a release rod and an ejector rod of the vessel picking-up and releasing unit of FIG. 6.

[0061] Referring to FIG. 6 and FIG. 7, the vessel picking-up and releasing unit 200 is different from the vessel picking-up and releasing unit 100 in that the release rod and the ejector rod are connected together. The difference between the vessel picking-up and releasing unit 200 and the vessel picking-up and releasing unit 100 will be described in detail below. The similarities between the vessel picking-up and releasing unit 200 and the vessel  picking-up and releasing unit 100 will not be repeated.

[0062] As shown in FIG. 6 and FIG. 7, the vessel picking-up and releasing unit 200 includes a release rod 273 and an ejector rod 250. An end surface of the ejector rod 250 is provided with a groove 252 for receiving an end 272 of the release rod 273. The groove 252 of the ejector rod 250 may be provided with an internal thread, and the end 272 of the release rod 273 may be provided with an external thread, thereby the release rod 273 is threadedly connected with the ejector rod 250.

[0063] A locking member 276 may further be provided. The locking member 276 is configured to lock the release rod 273 with respect to the ejector rod 250. For example, the locking member 276 may be in the form of a locking nut.

[0064] It should be understood that a connection mode between the release rod and the ejector rod should not be limited to the specific example shown in the figures, but may be varied as long as the functions described herein can be implemented. For example, a connecting way by utilizing a pin and a hole may be used. For example, a fixing method such as welding may also be used.

[0065] In addition, a sensing device 254 may be provided on the ejector rod 250 for sensing a position of the ejector rod 250, thereby determining the position of the vessel 20. The type of the sensing device 254 may be selected as required. The position of the sensing device 254 is schematic and may be changed as needed. For example, in a case where the release rod 273 is connected to the ejector rod 250, the sensing device may also be arranged on the release rod 273.

[0066] Although two examples of the vessel picking-up and releasing unit according to the present application have been described with reference to FIG. 3 to FIG. 7, it should be understood that the vessel picking-up and releasing unit of the present application should not be limited to the specific examples shown in the drawings, but may be varied. For example, the release rod and the ejector rod may be formed as one piece. In this case, the size of the vessel picking-up and releasing unit in the vertical direction can be further reduced.

[0067] According to another aspect of the present application, a medical analyzer is provided, which includes the above-mentioned vessel manipulating device. The medical analyzer may have similar technical effects as the vessel manipulating device, such as  simplifying the structure, reducing the cost, improving the reliability and stability, reducing the noise and the like.

[0068] Although the present application has been described with reference to exemplary embodiments, it should be understood that the present application is not limited to the specific embodiments described and illustrated herein. Without departing from the scope defined by the claims, those skilled in the art can make various modifications to the exemplary embodiments. The features in the various embodiments can be combined with each other, provided that there is no contradiction. Alternatively, a feature in the embodiments may be omitted.
