Description

comb

[0001] The present invention relates to a comb having a plated surface.

[0002] When the surface of a comb is plated, the surface becomes smooth, reducing contact friction with hair. Such combs have been shown to be effective in discharging static electricity accumulated in hair by grounding the human body (see, for example, Patent Document 1). As shown in Patent Document 1, plating results in non-plated areas at the contact points with the electrodes. This can cause problems with peeling starting from the non-plated areas, and if painted, they may dissolve with hair dye or other agents, making it necessary to cover these non-plated areas with plated parts. In Patent Document 1, the non-plated areas are covered with a lid that fits together. This plating process achieves a smooth feel and prevents hair clogging.

[0003] On the other hand, in the case of a hairbrush for combing hair, each tooth is formed from a flexible material without using plating to prevent clogging with hair (see, for example, Patent Document 2).

[0004] International Publication No. 2017 / 126021 Utility Model Registration No. 3092847

[0005] However, in the case of combs rather than hairbrushes, all parts, including the teeth and handle, are made of a highly rigid material such as resin. For this reason, it is not common for combs to have only the teeth made of a different material, making manufacturing difficult. Furthermore, when combing hair, it is preferable to use teeth made of a highly rigid material whose contact points with the hair are extremely smooth and have low friction. This is because soft teeth take a long time to comb, especially when the hair is tangled.

[0006] In addition, in the past, to prevent hair from getting tangled in the teeth, first a comb with wide teeth is used to create a certain flow in the hair, and then a comb with narrow teeth is used to style the hair. However, this method requires two combs and the need to switch between them, which is time-consuming and cumbersome.

[0007] To provide a comb that takes into consideration the above-mentioned prior art and that can smoothly comb hair with a single comb, even if it is made of a highly rigid material, without tangling hair.

[0008] In order to achieve the above object, the present invention provides a comb comprising: a comb body having a plated surface; the comb body including a gripping portion to be gripped by a user, a base portion continuous with the gripping portion, and a plurality of comb teeth formed to protrude from the base portion; and the comb teeth including at least one row of main teeth arranged at intervals along a central axis line in the longitudinal direction of the comb body, and at least one row of sub-teeth arranged parallel to the main teeth on each side thereof, wherein the height of the main teeth is higher than the height of the sub-teeth adjacent to them in the left-right direction of the comb body, and the number of the main teeth is smaller than the number of the sub-teeth.

[0009] Preferably, the base portion has a through hole passing through between the main tooth and the sub-tooth.

[0010] Preferably, the main teeth are formed to widen toward their bases.

[0011] Preferably, the base portion is formed to be wider than the grip portion, and the sub-teeth are formed along the left and right peripheral edges of the base portion.

[0012] Preferably, the main teeth and the sub-teeth form a curved shape with a recess in the center when the entire row is viewed from the side.

[0013] According to the present invention, the comb has main teeth and sub-teeth, and the height of the main teeth arranged along the central axis is higher than the adjacent sub-teeth (located to the left and right of the main teeth). The number of main teeth is fewer than the number of sub-teeth. Therefore, the main teeth come into contact with the user's head first, and the main teeth comb the hair first. Because the number of main teeth is small, the main teeth first roughly comb the hair. Then, by tilting the comb body, the sub-teeth can comb the area combed by the main teeth. Because the number of sub-teeth is large, the hair roughly combed by the main teeth can be combed more finely. Because the main teeth comb the hair to a certain extent, tangling of the hair with the sub-teeth, which have a large number of teeth, can be prevented when combing with the sub-teeth. This allows the comb body to be used alone to prevent hair tangling, even if the comb body is made of a highly rigid material. In other words, the user can roughly comb the hair and then finely comb it in one motion.

[0014] Furthermore, since the base portion has through-holes, plating solution can flow through the through-holes when plating the comb body, improving the reliability of adhesion of the plating to the comb body. Also, since hair passes through the through-holes when combing, tangling of hair can be further prevented.

[0015] In addition, the main teeth are formed to widen towards the base, ensuring high rigidity, allowing you to roughly comb your hair at first, and also reducing the risk of hair tangling.

[0016] Furthermore, because the base portion is wider than the grip portion and the sub-teeth are formed along the left and right peripheries of this base portion, a fixed distance is formed between the main teeth and the sub-teeth. Therefore, after roughly combing the hair with the main teeth for a fixed distance, the sub-teeth can be used to comb the hair. This allows the main teeth to roughly comb the hair to a certain extent to form a flow of hair before combing the hair with the sub-teeth, resulting in a smoother combing of the hair. Since a better finish is achieved by combing the hair with the main teeth for a certain distance and then combing the hair with the sub-teeth, rather than combing the hair with the main teeth and then immediately combing it with the sub-teeth, a fixed distance is formed between the main teeth and the sub-teeth.

[0017] In addition, when viewed from the side, the entire row of main teeth and sub-teeth has a curved shape with a concave center, so that the tips of the main teeth and sub-teeth come into contact with the human head, reducing damage to the scalp and allowing hair to be combed smoothly.

[0018] 1 is a schematic view of a comb according to the present invention; 2 is a schematic view of a comb according to the present invention when viewed from another angle; 3 is a schematic view of a comb according to the present invention when viewed from yet another angle; 4 is a schematic plan view of a comb according to the present invention; 5 is a schematic bottom view of a comb according to the present invention; and 6 is a schematic side view of a comb according to the present invention.

[0019] As is clear from FIGS. 1 to 7 , the comb 1 according to the present invention has a comb body 2. The surface of the comb body 2 is plated. Specifically, the comb body 2 is a resin molded product (e.g., an ABS resin molded product) that has been plated, which smooths the surface and reduces contact friction with hair. Plating is also known to have the effect of grounding the human body and discharging static electricity accumulated in hair. During this plating process, an electrode and the comb body 2 are in contact, and the comb body 2 is held by the electrode. To ensure that the electrode holds the comb body 2 securely, the comb body 2 is formed with an insertion hole 6 through which an electrode is inserted for plating. When the comb 1 is manufactured, the insertion hole 6 is covered with a cover or the like (not shown).

[0020] The comb body 2 is made up of comb teeth 3, a handle 4, and a base 5. The handle 4 is the part that a user holds when combing hair with the comb 1. The base 5 is formed continuously from one end of the handle 4. A plurality of comb teeth 3 protrude from the base 5.

[0021] The comb teeth 3 have at least one row of main teeth 7 (one row in the figure) and at least one row of sub-teeth 8 on each side of the main teeth 7 (one row on each side in the figure). Specifically, the main teeth 7 are arranged at intervals along the central axis of the comb body 2 in the longitudinal direction (six main teeth 7 in the figure). The sub-teeth 8 are arranged at intervals on both sides of the main teeth 7 so as to be parallel to the main teeth 7. As is clear from the figure, the number of main teeth 7 per row is fewer than the number of sub-teeth 8. Furthermore, as is clear from FIG. 7 , the height of a main tooth 7 is greater than the height of the sub-teeth 8 adjacent to it in the left-right direction of the comb body 2 (the direction perpendicular to the central axis of the comb body 2).

[0022] That is, the comb teeth 3 include main teeth 7 and sub-teeth 8, and the height of the main teeth 7 arranged along the central axis of the comb body 2 is higher than the sub-teeth 8 adjacent to it (located to the left and right of the main teeth 7). The number of main teeth 7 is fewer than the number of sub-teeth 8. Therefore, when a user grips the handle 4 and brings the comb teeth 3 into contact with the user's head, the main teeth 7 come into contact with the user's head first. The main teeth 7 then comb the hair first. Because the number of main teeth 7 is small, the main teeth 7 first roughly comb the hair. After this, by tilting the comb body 2, the sub-teeth 8 can comb the areas combed by the main teeth 7. Because the number of sub-teeth 8 is large, the hair roughly combed by the main teeth 7 can be combed more finely. Because the hair is combed to a certain extent by the main teeth 7, it is possible to prevent the hair from becoming tangled in the sub-teeth 8 when combing with the sub-teeth 8, which have a large number of teeth. This allows you to comb your hair without tangling even if the comb body 2 is made of a highly rigid material, using only one comb body 2. In other words, in one operation, you can comb your hair roughly with the main teeth 7 and then finely with the sub-teeth 8.

[0023] The main teeth 7 are formed to widen towards their bases. This allows the main teeth 7 to have high rigidity. Because of their high rigidity, even tangled hair can be roughly detangled first, thereby reducing the likelihood of hair tangling. It is preferable that the tips of the main teeth 7 and sub-teeth 8 are spherical in shape. This is to reduce damage caused by contact with the scalp.

[0024] Here, the base portion 5 has through holes 9 penetrating between the main teeth 7 and the sub-teeth 8. That is, the main teeth 7 and the sub-teeth 8 are separated by a certain distance, and the base portion 5 is penetrated by the through holes 9 at that distance. These through holes 9 allow the plating solution to flow through these through holes 9 when plating the comb body 2, thereby improving the reliability of adhesion of the plating to the comb body 2. Furthermore, hair passes through these through holes 9 when combing, further preventing hair tangles. That is, if the base portion 5 were simply a plate, hair would gather at the bottom of the comb teeth 3 when combing hair with the comb 1, increasing the likelihood of hair tangles in the comb teeth 3. In contrast, by providing the through holes 9, hair can slip through the through holes 9 in the base portion 5, preventing hair from gathering and becoming tangled at the bottom of the comb teeth 3.

[0025] The base portion 5 is formed wider than the grip portion 4. Furthermore, the sub-teeth 8 are formed along the left and right peripheral edges of the base portion 5. This creates a fixed distance between the main teeth 7 and the sub-teeth 8. Therefore, it is possible to comb hair roughly a fixed distance with the main teeth 7 and then comb it with the sub-teeth 8. This allows the main teeth 7 to roughly comb hair to a certain extent to form a flow of hair before combing it with the sub-teeth 8, resulting in smoother combing. Combing hair with the main teeth 7 to a certain extent and then combing it with the sub-teeth 8 produces a better finish than combing hair with the main teeth 7 and then immediately combing it with the sub-teeth 8, so a fixed distance is created between the main teeth 7 and the sub-teeth 8.

[0026] Furthermore, the main teeth 7 and sub-teeth 8 are formed in a curved shape with a concave center when viewed from the side of the entire row, so that the tips of the main teeth 7 and sub-teeth 9 come into contact with the shape of the human head, reducing damage to the scalp and enabling smooth combing of hair.

[0027] Protrusions 10 extend from the surface of the base 5 opposite to the surface from which the comb teeth 3 protrude. Specifically, the protrusions 10 are formed along the backside of the main teeth 7 and sub-teeth 8 at intervals. The user can use these protrusions 10 to massage the scalp or other skin by rubbing them. In particular, if the protrusions 10 are formed directly behind the main teeth 7, they can also be used to reinforce the main teeth 7, further increasing the rigidity of the main teeth 7.
