[0001] DESCRIPTION
[0002] A NEW ASSEMBLY FOR FULLY AUTOMATIC FIRING IN FIREARMS
[0003] Technical Field
[0004] The invention relates to a new assembly developed to enable controlled fully automatic firing in firearms.
[0005] In particular, the invention relates to an assembly which enables the firearm to be fired in fully automatic mode without a shoulder stock by positioning in front of the auto sear, which is also provided in the state of the art, on the lower receiver in order to ensure its movement in the event of fully automatic firing.
[0006] State of the Art
[0007] A firearm is a device designed to deliver a bullet or projectile to a target using a firing mechanism operated by air, gas or explosive materials. As a result of ignition of a chamber containing a flammable substance such as gunpowder, gases are formed, and the bullet or projectile is thrown over the barrel (firing part of the gun). Firearms are typically used for personal defence, hunting, sports or military purposes. Although there are various models, there are different types such as pistol, rifle, machine gun and cannon.
[0008] Fully automatic firing in firearms is the process of firing multiple bullets. To perform this operation, more than one bullet must be loaded into the gun's magazine. The first round is fired by pulling the trigger. With the recoil of the weapon, the firing mechanism automatically prepares for a second round, and if the trigger is kept pulled without releasing it, the second round is fired. This process can be repeated until all the bullets in the magazine are depleted. Fully automatic firing allows for the quick and sequential firing of multiple bullets, which is a useful feature for shooting at the target more quickly and effectively.
[0009] The fully automatic firing mechanism is a system used in firearms that allows the ammunition to be fired in rapid succession. This structure works with the components such as a bolt carrier, trigger, magazine and hammer. The magazine is a compartment in the gun where bullets are placed and fed sequentially. When the gun's trigger is pulled, the hammer is cocked, and the firing mechanism is activated by pulling the trigger. Meanwhile, the bolt carrier group goes back by the gas pressure, during the forward movement of the bolt carrier group a new bullet is placed into the chamber and when the bolt carrier group is seated forward, the gun is ready to fire. In this way, it is possible to fire the gun sequentially and fires more bullets to the target. In the firearms available today, the length of the bolt carrier is long, and in order to ensure the movement of the bolt carrier in the upper receiver, parts (spring, buffer and similar) are added to the buffer tube to ensure the movement of the bolt carrier. This requires the use of more materials in firearms, thus making the firearm larger and heavier. In the mentioned case, the stock group must be assembled in order for the firearms to fire rapidly. Without the shoulder stock group, the firearm becomes inoperable.
[0010] As a result, the existence of the need for an improved assembly for fully automatic firing in firearms without a shoulder stock, which eliminates the disadvantages of the prior art, and the inadequacy of existing solutions have made it necessary to make an improvement in the relevant technical field.
[0011] Brief Description of the Invention
[0012] The present invention is related to a new assembly developed for controlled fully automatic firing of firearms which fulfils the abovementioned requirements, eliminates all disadvantages and brings some additional advantages.
[0013] Based on the state of the art, the object of the invention is to ensure the movement of the auto sear in the event of a shot by positioning it between the trigger and the auto sear part on the lower receiver in the developed configuration.
[0014] The object of the invention is to enable the firearm to fire fully automatically without a shoulder stock, by shortening the length of the bolt carrier.
[0015] Another object of the invention is to reduce the amount of material used and to make the rifle lighter and shorter, enabling fully automatic firing without a shoulder stock.
[0016] Another object of the invention is to ensure that the push pin lever is moved to release the hammer as a result of the contact between the push rod and the auto sear, by gaining a rotational movement about the axis of the lever pivot pin due to the contact with the bolt carrier while the bolt carrier is moving, thus enabling fully automatic firing.
[0017] The structural and characteristic features of the present invention will be understood clearly by the following drawings and the detailed description made with reference to these drawings and therefore the evaluation shall be made by taking these figures and the detailed description into consideration. [0040] In this detailed description, the inventive improved assembly (10) for fully automatic firing in a controlled manner of the assault rifles (20) is described only for clarifying the subject matter in a manner such that no limiting effect is created.
[0041] The position of the inventive assembly (10) shown in Figure-1 in the assault rifle (20) enables the length of the bolt carrier (22) to be shortened. The working method of the mentioned assembly (10) enables the assault rifle (20) to fire fully automatically without a shoulder stock. With the mentioned assembly (10), the amount of material used has been reduced and the assault rifle (20) has been made lighter and shorter. The assembly (10) shown in Figure-2 is positioned in front of the auto sear (24) on the lower receiver (23) of the assault rifle (20) and ensures the movement of the auto sear (24) in case of fully automatic firing. Said assault rifle (20) comprises a hammer (21), which is moved to its initial position by a spring, which is released from its backward (retaining) position as a result of the backward movement of the trigger during firing, and which allows the firing pin to move by hitting the firing pin with the force generated by the discharge of the compressed spring pressure force. The bolt carrier (22), which contains parts such as the firing pin assembly parts that enable the ammunition to be fired in the assault rifle (20), moves with the pressure generated when the ammunition explodes and returns to its original position thanks to the release spring, and during this movement, it contains the surface that feeds the ammunition into the chamber and it contacts to the push rod lever, which is contacted to push rod, triggers the auto sear (24).
[0042] The assembly (10) shown in Figure-3 comprises a sear control housing (11), which is mounted in the front field of the auto sear (24) on the lower receiver (23), which carries the moving parts necessary to operate the assault rifle (20) in a fully automatic firing situation. The push rod lever (12), which moves the push rod (13) with the contact of the bolt carrier (22) while the bolt carrier (22) moves, is mounted on the front section of the sear control housing (11 ). Said push rod lever (12) is mounted on the sear control housing (11) via the lever pivot pin (15). Said push rod (13) is positioned between the push rod lever (12) and the auto sear (24) and transmits the gained linear movement to the auto sear (24) with which it is in contact. Said sear control housing (11 ) is connected to the lower receiver (23) via the housing fasteners (16). The push rod (13) and the push rod lever (12) shown in Figure-4 are positioned by the push rod spring (14) positioned in the sear control housing (11 ) and on the push rod (13) in the absence of any movement and are returned to their original position after motion transfer. The aforementioned push rod (13) is contacted to the auto sear (24), which can move in the groove on the selector body in the event of a fully automatic shot, keeps the hammer (21 ) in fully cocked position by fixing it with spring force, and allows the rifle (20) to fire a fully automatic shot by releasing the hammer (21) by moving as a result of the movement of the bolt carrier (22).
[0043] For the mounting of the mentioned assembly (10), firstly, the push rod spring (14) shown in figure-5 is placed inside the sear control housing (11). Then the push rod (13) shown in figure-6 is passed through the push rod spring (14) placed in the sear control housing (11 ). Then, the push rod lever (12) is placed on the front section of the sear control housing (11) shown in figure-7, extending upwards from the sear control housing (11) towards the bolt carrier (22) as shown in figure-8 and its position is pinned with the lever pivot pin (15) shown in figure-9. After the mounting of the sear control housing (11) is completed, the structure is inserted into the lower receiver (23) shown in figure-10 in such a way that it remains above the trigger and below the bolt carrier (22). The assembly (10) is fastened to the lower receiver (23) by means of the housing fasteners (16) shown in Figure- 11 , and the assembly is completed as shown in Figure-12.
[0044] After the initial installation of the assault rifle (20), when the shot is fired, the bolt carrier (22) moves backwards under the effect of ammunition pressure. The bolt carrier (22) moves forward from its most backward position, thanks to the pressure accumulated in the release spring. As the bolt carrier (22) moves forward, it contacts the push rod lever (12), and the push rod lever (12) rotates around the axis of the lever pivot pin (15) in the same direction as the movement direction of the bolt carrier (22). This movement rotates the auto sear (24) around its pinned axis by ensuring that the push rod lever (12) moves the push rod (13) in the opposite direction of the movement direction of the bolt carrier (22) and the push rod (13) comes into contact with the auto sear (24). As a result of this movement, the hammer (21) is freed of the auto sear (24), moves with the effect of spring pressure and hits the firing pin. The firing of the assault rifle (20) is completed when the firing pin hits the ammunition primer. Said mode of operation continues as long as the trigger is pulled and held down, so the rifle (20) continues to fire fully automatically.
[0045] The push rod lever (12), the push rod (13), the push rod spring (14) and the lever pivot pin (15) are mounted on the sear control housing (11) and positioned in front of the auto sear (24) on the lower receiver (23) in the present art with the housing fasteners (16). This does not require the stock group to be assembled for fully automatic firing, as in the present art, and the assault rifle (20) becomes capable of fully automatic firing without a shoulder stock. Since the bolt carrier (22) can be produced smaller than the state of the art and there is no need to use the stock group, the use of important parts in the assault rifle (20) has been reduced and the weapon has become lighter.
