Abstract
Description
[0001] Pull-out device for a cooking appliance
[0002] The present invention relates to a pull-out device for a cooking appliance, having at least one side grid with a plurality of horizontal struts which can be used at least partially to support an edge of a food carrier, wherein at least one pull-out guide is fixed to the side grid via fastening means, which comprises a stationary guide rail and a rail which is movable relative to the guide rail, wherein a cover with a support for the food carrier is fixed to the movable rail.
[0003] EP 1 840 473 A2 discloses a telescopic pull-out device for mounting in an oven, which is fixed to a side rack. An angle profile is fixed to a movable rail and engages with a support section between two vertical bars of the side rack, allowing a food support to be moved over the telescopic pull-out device, while an upper guide rod also serves as an anti-tip device. Manufacturing the telescopic pull-out device with the angle profile is complex. Furthermore, cleaning the hard-to-reach areas is laborious.
[0004] DE 10 2010 029 768 A1 discloses a telescopic extension device for a household appliance in which a front rail made of stainless steel sheet is attached to a movable rail of the telescopic rail and is laterally fixed to the movable rail via a welded joint. This also results in complex assembly due to the welded joint and makes handling difficult during cleaning.
[0005] It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a pull-out device for a household appliance which enables improved handling and is easy to assemble.
[0006] This object is achieved with a pull-out device having the features of claim 1.
[0007] The pull-out device according to the invention for a household appliance, in particular a cooking appliance, comprises at least one side grid with a plurality of horizontal struts that can be used at least partially to support an edge of a food carrier. At least one pull-out guide is fixed to the side grid via fastening means, said guide comprising a stationary guide rail and a rail that is movable relative to the guide rail, between which a pull-out-extending central rail can optionally be arranged. A cover with a support for the food carrier is fixed to the movable rail, wherein the cover is preferably releasably fixed to the movable rail via locking means. The cover can thus be easily mounted to the movable rail and removed as needed for cleaning purposes or for other reasons. This allows the cover to be easily replaced, so if the cover becomes damaged, the entire drawer slide doesn't have to be replaced. This simplifies handling and facilitates installation, as the cover simply snaps onto the detachable rail. The locking elements can clamp onto the rail.
[0008] The cover preferably has at least one spring bar that engages in a receptacle or recess on the movable rail. Several spring bars can be provided distributed along the length of the cover, which are secured to receptacles or recesses. In addition, corresponding spring bars can be provided on opposite sides of the cover when the movable rail is encompassed. The cover can be approximately the same length as the movable rail, so that the movable rail is protected by the cover. Optionally, the cover can also protrude beyond the movable rail at the front and, when retracted, completely cover the stationary and movable rail.
[0009] To ensure the cover is securely fastened, the movable rail can be enclosed in a U-shape or L-shape. This means that the movable rail can be covered at least on one upper side, which makes cleaning easier. The cover can cover the upper side of the movable rail with a horizontal leg or a leg that is slightly inclined downwards, whereby the inclination is advantageous for allowing liquid contaminants to drain off. With a U-shaped enclosure of the movable rail, an interior space of the pull-out guide can be covered, whereby a gap between the movable rail and the guide rail can be covered by a section of the cover on at least one side. The cover preferably has a vertically upwardly projecting web, on the upper side of which the support for the food carrier is formed. To provide stable support for the food carrier, this web can be double-layered, for example, if the cover is made of bent metal sheet. The upper bend then forms the support.
[0010] If the side rail has pairs of horizontal struts over at least part of their length, the distance between which in the vertical direction is less than 20 mm, the upper horizontal strut usually forms an anti-tip device if the food support is pulled out of the side rail. The support of the cover is preferably mounted in such a way that the support is arranged vertically between a pair of horizontal struts over at least part of its length. The support can be arranged horizontally offset to the struts, i.e. it does not have to be positioned directly between the struts, so that a lower strut of a pair of horizontal struts is covered by the cover at the front over at least part of its length. The support is preferably positioned just above the lower strut, so that the lower strut can be used without a pull-out guide to support a food tray, and with a pull-out guide, the support just above the lower strut provides support for the food tray. The vertical web then supports the support and also acts as a splash guard for the pull-out guide. The vertically upwardly projecting web can be spaced from a front side of a lower horizontal strut of a pair over at least a portion of its length.
[0011] The cover preferably comprises a web that covers a gap between the stationary guide rail and the movable rail. This web is preferably arranged on an inner side of the pull-out guide in the installed position and can extend with a lower edge below the stationary rail, so that the cover forms a wall facing the interior of a cooking appliance, protecting the pull-out guide from contamination.
[0012] In a further embodiment, a front and / or rear protruding stop is provided on the cover, by means of which movement of the food support in the longitudinal direction of the movable rail is limited. This limits or prevents displacement in the event of a sudden withdrawal of the food support along the movable rail. The stop is preferably formed integrally with the cover by an upwardly projecting web.
[0013] For stable fixation of the cover, it can have at least one angled end section that covers the movable rail in the longitudinal direction at one end face. This can prevent longitudinal movement of the cover due to the angled end section. Preferably, the cover has a U-shaped receptacle at the angled end section, into which an upwardly projecting wall section, fixed to or integrally formed on the movable rail, is inserted. The wall section can then support the cover in the longitudinal direction to prevent displacement of the cover relative to the movable rail.
[0014] According to a preferred embodiment, the cover is made from at least two cover parts that are integrally connected to one another, for example by gluing or welding. The cover parts can also be connected to one another using tox or clinch connections. This allows the manufacturing process and material usage to be optimized. A first cover part can be designed as a vertical web that covers the pull-out guide on one side, in particular an inner side in the installed position in a cooking appliance, so that the pull-out guide is protected from contamination by the vertical web. At least one further cover part has integrally formed locking means and can optionally extend over the entire length of the first cover part or be formed only from individual sections that are integrally attached to the first cover part.
[0015] The cover is preferably made of a bent metal sheet, which is preferably coated after bending. In addition to a color coating, coatings for improved cleaning, such as a plasma coating, can also be provided.
[0016] The pull-out device is preferably mounted in a cooking appliance, in particular in an oven cavity, with a food support preferably being held in the cooking appliance on opposite sides via a pull-out device. The invention is explained in more detail below using several exemplary embodiments with reference to the accompanying drawings. They show:

[0024] Fig. 8A and 8B two exploded views of a modified pull-out device, and
[0025] Fig. 9A to 9D several views of the pull-out device of Figure 8 in an assembled position
[0026] A pull-out device 1 comprises a side grid 2 which has at least two vertical posts 3 on which a plurality of horizontal struts 4 and 5 are provided. The horizontal struts 4 and 5 each form a pair and are arranged close together in the vertical direction, preferably at a distance of less than 20 mm, so that the lower horizontal strut 4, which is connected to the two posts 3, can serve as a support for a food carrier 11 and the upper horizontal strut 5 of such a pair of horizontal struts 4 and 5 forms an anti-tip device, i.e. is arranged above an edge of a food carrier and can support it when it is moved in front of the side grid 2.
[0027] Mounted on the side rail 2 is a pull-out guide 6 comprising a stationary rail 7 and a movable rail 9, between which a pull-out extension center rail 8 is arranged. This allows the movable rail 9 to be moved in front of the side rail 2 via rolling elements.
[0028] A cover 10 is fixed to the movable rail 9 and forms a support 12 for the food carrier 11. The food carrier 11 is shown as a grid, but can also be a baking tray. The food carrier 11 engages with a lateral edge in the side grid 2, in particular between a pair of horizontal struts 4 and 5. The cover 10 is mounted such that the support 12 is arranged slightly above the lower strut 4. The support 12 forms an upper edge of an upwardly projecting web of the cover 10, which is arranged in a plane in front of the lower horizontal strut 4, as shown in Figure 1B.
[0029] Figures 2A and 2B show the pull-out guide 6 before the cover 10 is mounted. The pull-out guide 6 includes a plurality of recesses 21 on the movable rail 9, which are produced by punching or stamping to secure the cover 10. A wall section 22 is fixed to one end face of the movable rail 9 and projects upward beyond the movable rail 9.
[0030] The cover 10 is made from a bent metal sheet and has a U-shaped section that can be slipped over the movable rail 9. The cover 10 has approximately the same length as the movable rail 9. In another embodiment, the movable rail 9 and cover 10 can also have unequal lengths. Integral to the cover 10 are locking means 16 in the form of spring bars, which can engage with a locking section in the recess 21. These locking means 16 are formed on a downwardly directed vertical web 15 of the cover 10. Further locking means 17 in the form of spring bars are integrally formed on the cover 10 and are fixed on the opposite side of the movable rail 9, for example in recesses or on an edge behind which the locking means engage.Between a vertical web 20, which projects upwards towards the support 12, and the vertical web 15, a substantially horizontal connecting section 18 is formed, which covers the movable rail 9 at the top.
[0031] Stops 13 and 14 are provided on the support 12 at a front end and a rear end, respectively, which are formed by upwardly projecting webs which ensure that the food support 11 cannot slip in the longitudinal direction of the movable rail 9 when it rests on the support 12.
[0032] To mount the cover 10, it is placed on the movable rail 9 and locked using the locking means 16 and 17.
[0033] Figures 3A to 3C show the mounted position of the cover 10. As can be seen in Figure 3B, the cover has a downwardly projecting web 19 that covers a gap between the guide rail 7 and the movable rail 9. The web 19 is positioned with a lower end lower than the guide rail 7, so that the latter is protected by the web 19. The web 19 is angled at the lower end toward the pull-out guide 6. The web 19 is preferably positioned with a lower end at least lower than the upper end of the guide rail 7.
[0034] On an outer side of the pull-out guide 6, a fastening means 30 in the form of a first clamp is provided, which can be fixed to the side rail 2 by means of a holding section 31. Furthermore, a fastening means 40 in the form of a second clamp is provided, which has a further holding section 41, which can be placed, for example, on a vertical post 3 in order to encompass it in a U-shape. Such fastening means 30 and 40 for attaching pull-out guides to side rails 2 are known in many different forms, and different clamps can be used to releasably or permanently fix the pull-out guide 6 to such a side rail 2.
[0035] Figure 3C shows the fixation of the cover 10 to the wall section 22 of the movable rail 9. For this purpose, the cover 10 has an angled end section 23 with a U-shaped receptacle. The U-shaped receptacle of the angled end section 23 engages around an upwardly projecting section of the wall section 22, so that the cover 10 is held on the wall section 22 in the longitudinal direction of the movable rail 9. Figures 4A and 4B show a modified embodiment in which the cover 10 is designed as in the previous embodiment, except for the shape of the connecting section 18' between the downwardly projecting vertical web 15 and the upwardly projecting web 20. This connecting section 18' is not aligned horizontally, but runs obliquely downwards, so that liquids are drained laterally from the connecting section 18' via the vertical web 15.In this embodiment, too, the support 12 is formed by a bend in the cover 10, so that the upwardly projecting web 20 is formed in two layers.
[0036] Figures 5A to 5D show a further embodiment of a pull-out guide in which a modified pull-out guide 6' is used. The pull-out guide 6' comprises a stationary guide rail 7', which is connected to a movable rail 9' via a pull-out-extending center rail 8', wherein the guide rail 7' and the movable rail 9' are each C-shaped. A modified cover 10' is formed on the movable rail 9', which no longer surrounds the pull-out guide 6' in a U-shape but rather only in an L-shape. For this purpose, the cover 10' has a vertical web 20 that extends downwards to the lower end of the movable rail 9', on which the support 12 is formed at the upper end and, as in the previous embodiment, is arranged between two stops 13 and 14.From the web 20, a connecting section 18' extends essentially horizontally, optionally also diagonally downward, over the pull-out guide 6', so that a gap provided on the upper side between the movable rail 9' and the stationary guide rail 7' is covered. The cover 10' is also fixed to the pull-out guide 6' via locking means 16' and 17', which are designed as flexible spring bars or retaining bars.
[0037] The pull-out guide 6' is fixed to the side rail 2 via a fastening means 30 in the form of a first clamp with a holding section 31 and a fastening means 40 as a second clamp with a holding section 41.
[0038] Figures 6A and 6B show a modified pull-out device in which the cover 10 comprises a first cover part 10a and a second cover part 10b, which are manufactured separately, for example from sheet metal. The first cover part 10a comprises a vertical web 15, a connecting section 18, and the upwardly directed vertical web 20a, while the second cover part 10b has an upper vertical web 20b and a lower vertical web 19, which together form a wall element that covers a pull-out guide 6 on one side in the installed position. The two cover parts 10a, 10b are integrally joined, in particular welded, to the pull-out guide 6 for assembly. The cover parts 10a and 10b can also be connected to the pull-out guide 6 via Tox or clinch connections or by clipping and stamping.
[0039] Figures 7A to 7D show the pull-out device with the two cover parts 10a and 10b in the assembled position, in which the pull-out guide 6 is covered by the cover 10. As in the previous exemplary embodiments, the cover 10 is releasably fixed to the movable rail 9 of the pull-out guide 6 via the locking means 16 and 17, and an angled end section 23 on the cover part 10b covers a wall section 22 on the front side of the movable rail 9. In the assembled position, the vertical webs 20a and 20b form a double-layered wall section, on the upper side of which the support 12 is formed, in particular by an angled portion on the vertical web 20b.
[0040] Figures 8A and 8B show a modified embodiment in which the cover 10 is composed of several cover parts 10a and 10b, wherein the cover parts 10a and 10b have different lengths in the longitudinal direction of the pull-out guide 6, and two cover parts 10a and only one cover part 10b are provided. The support 12 is integrally formed on the cover part 10b and forms a vertical wall section that covers the pull-out guide 6 on an inner side in the mounted position. The two cover parts 10a each have a vertical web 20a, which is connected to the vertical web 20b of the cover part 10b by a material fit or by metallic forming, for example, clinching. The two cover parts 10a also have locking means 16 and 17 in the form of webs, which ensure a releasable fixation of the cover 10. By manufacturing the cover parts 10a in sections, the material consumption can be reduced.
[0041] Figures 9A to 9D show the cover 10 of Figure 8 in the assembled position. The locking means 16 engage in the recesses 21 on the movable rail 9, and the support 12 is supported on the movable rail 9 via the vertical webs 20a of the cover parts 10a. The movable rail 9 and the stationary guide rail 7 are protected from contamination by the cover part 10b. The above embodiments can be combined with one another as desired. For example, a multi-part cover can also be used in the embodiment of Figure 5, in which the pull-out guide has a different rail geometry. In addition, the clamps not shown in Figures 6 to 9 for fixing the pull-out guide to the side grille 2 can be designed as in the previous embodiments.
[0042] The clamps or locking devices on a cover can have different geometries, so that the locking is similar to a clamping and can be done not only translationally but also rotationally.
