Abstract

The invention relates to a military jacket with rapid extraction mechanism, which comprises a front part (2) and a rear part (3); two straps (4) fastened to the rear part (3), the straps (4) being designed to be positioned on the front part (2); two side flaps (5) that join the front part (2) and the rear part (3) along the side of the jacket, wherein the straps (4) are fastened to the front part (2) by means of a first branch (9) of steel cable that can be extracted and which is able to secure or release the joining of the straps; and a flap (10) of textile material on each side of the jacket, wherein each flap comprises a removable attachment element for attaching to the front part (2) of the jacket (1), using housings (11, 12) of the tongues (10) and of the front part of the jacket (1), wherein a second branch (13) of the steel cable can secure or release this connection.

[0004] The present invention relates to a military vest with a quick-release mechanism that allows a user to release themselves from the vest by pulling on a handle in one movement. This improves safety in the event of needing to remove the vest compared to other vests known in the art. The vest object of the invention is applicable in the textile and military industries, as it is designed for use with military vests.

[0006] When a soldier is in an emergency situation, whether due to an accident or any other event, he often needs to remove his safety vest because it is equipped with bulletproof protective elements, which add a lot of weight, and also has a multitude of elements placed on it that also add weight and discomfort in the event of an emergency.

[0007] There are vests that have quick-release systems that allow military personnel to remove the vest during some operations, but they have to perform operations with both hands or maneuvers that are not immediate or innate, therefore, although they provide greater security when a soldier removes a vest, they are not fully developed. This is especially aggravated when accidents occur in marine environments that involve the user falling into the sea, causing a situation of maximum stress.

[0009] The object of the invention is a military vest with a quick-release mechanism comprising a front part and a rear part, where the rear part comprises two straps and two side flaps, such that the two straps are configured to be placed on the front part passing over the shoulders of a user and the two side flaps comprise veleros ®, the front part comprises pins and a plurality of housings; in addition, the vest comprises a symmetrical steel cable comprising a first branch and a second branch on each side, which converge at a central point from which a ring extends.

[0010] In the military vest with a quick-release mechanism object of the invention, the straps comprise holes configured to house the pins of the front part, such that, with the pins inserted into the holes, the aforementioned pins protrude from the holes, and the portion of the pin that protrudes from the hole configures a housing configured to receive the first branch of the steel cable, such that an introduction of the first branch of the steel cable through the pins prevents the aforementioned pins from exiting the holes and therefore the straps of the rear part are fixed to the front part.

[0058] The vest object of the invention may comprise a lumbar reinforcement that is configured by a belt (18) that, in the preferred embodiment is a strip of elastic material, which is placed passing through a pocket (19) located in the inner part of the rear part (3) of the vest (1) and that, by means of some sails located at the ends of the belt (18) is fixed on the fixing surface (20) of the tabs (10), thus joining the belt (18) on the tabs (10). At the same time, the belt (18) offers on the surface opposite to the fixing on the tongue (10), a fixing surface for the side flaps (5). The ends of the lumbar reinforcement would be fixed between the tabs (10) and the side flaps (5), so that in case of releasing the tabs (10), the belt (18) and the tabs (10) are released together leaving the front part (2) separated from the rear part (3) of the vest (1).

Claims

CLAIMS 1. Military vest with quick release mechanism comprising a front part (2) and a rear part (3), characterized in that: the rear part (3) comprises two straps (4) and two side flaps (5), such that the two straps (4) are configured to be placed on the front part (2) passing over the shoulders of a user and the two side flaps (5) comprise veleros ®, the front part (2) comprises pins (7) and a plurality of housings (11), it comprises a symmetrical steel cable comprising a first branch (9) and a second branch (13) on each side, which converge at a central point (21) from which a ring (15) starts, where the straps (4) comprise holes (6) configured to house the pins (7) of the front part (2), such that, with the pins (7) inserted into the holes (6), said pins protrude from the holes (6),and the pin portion (7) protruding from the hole configures a housing (8) configured to receive the first branch (9) of the steel cable, so that an introduction of the first branch (9) of the steel cable through the pins (7) causes the aforementioned pins (7) to be prevented from exiting the holes (6) and therefore the straps (4) of the rear part (3) are fixed to the front part (2), the vest (1) also comprises a tab (10) of textile material on each side of the vest, configured to cover the straps (4) and the pins (7), such that the tab (10) comprises a fixing surface (20) for the veleros ® of the side flaps (5), where each tab (10) comprises another plurality of housings (12), such that with the housings (12) of each tab (10) between the housings (11) of the front part of the vest (1), a gap is configured,such that said gap is configured to receive the second branch (13) of the steel cable, so that, with the second branch (13) of the steel cable, passing through the housings (11, 12) of both the front part of the vest (1) and the tongue (10), each tongue (10) is fixed to the front part (2) of the vest (1), and with the flaps (5) fixed to the tongues (10) the front part (2) and the rear part (3) of the vest are fixed, and where the ring (15) is configured to, by means of pulling on the ring (15), extract the steel cable from the housings (8, 11, 12) and release the fixing of the holes (6) of the straps (4) on the pins (7) of the front part (2) of the vest (1) and of the, housings (11) of the front part (2) of the vest (1) from the housings of the tabs (10), releasing the front part (2) from the rear part (3) of the vest (1).

2. Military vest with quick extraction mechanism, according to claim 1, characterized in that the first branch (9) of the steel cable and the second branch (13) of the steel cable have a reinforcement (14) at their end.

Military vest with quick release mechanism according to any of claims 1 to 2, characterized in that it comprises a cover (16) over the front part of the vest (1) fixed on the side flaps (5), such that the cover is configured to cover the ring (15), the straps (4), the housings (8, 11, 12), the side flaps (5) and the tabs (10).

4. Military vest with quick release mechanism, according to claim 3, characterized in that the cover (16) comprises a hole (17) to provide access to the ring (15).

Military vest with a quick-release mechanism, according to any of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that it comprises a belt (18) that passes through a pocket (19) located on the inside of the rear part (3) of the vest (1) and that it comprises some sails at the ends of the belt (18) configured to be fixed on the sails of the tabs (10).
