Abstract

The present invention relates to an observation and rescue system (SOS) intended for improving the response to cardiac emergencies. The system comprises a dynamic display touchscreen for broadcasting information and video tutorials, a recess designed to receive an automated external defibrillator (AED) with a signalled access panel (European signage) with sensors and magnets that make it possible to launch the priority program making it possible to launch an emergency assistance tutorial upon opening the access panel. A platform for assistance via video-conferencing is also accessible via a QR code. This platform is our own first-aid platform specifically for cardiac emergencies. The system allows first-aid workers to retrieve the victim's electrocardiogram on-site. The purpose of this device is to reduce intervention times, improve the actions of witnesses, increase the victim's chances of survival, and facilitate coordination with professional emergency services.

Description

[0001] Detailed description of the invention Title of the invention

[0002] SOS: Observation and rescue system with priority activation of tutorial in case of emergency Technical area

[0003] The present invention relates to a system combining e-health, prevention and emergency response technologies.

[0004] More specifically, it is a dynamic display touch screen integrating an automated external defibrillator (AED), and a multimodal assistance system with intelligent functionalities to optimize the management of vital emergencies. Background of the invention

[0005] Cardiac emergencies are a major cause of death. Rapid and accurate intervention can significantly increase the chances of survival (4 minutes to intervene).

[0006] However, the percentage of people trained in first aid is very low and the lack of knowledge about medical devices such as defibrillators as well as the fear of doing something wrong or intervening by witnesses reduce the effectiveness of interventions.

[0007] This invention aims to address these issues by offering an intuitive and integrated system capable of guiding witnesses in emergency situations, while ensuring an effective link with emergency professionals (our own emergency center) via videoconference.

[0008] The idea is to support witnesses using digital tools (tutorials adapted to emergencies and / or videoconference support via a platform dedicated to cardiac ailments; nurses, doctors and firefighters are the support staff on this platform).

[0009] These tools help to build confidence among the responders; finding yourself face to face with a person who has stopped breathing is not trivial and does not happen every day. If there is emotional involvement on the part of the witness, the intervention is all the more special (if the victim is a relative of the witness, for example).

[0010] The tutorials provide the conduct to follow and the videoconference connection with our first aiders is a strong psychological support for the witness, he will be reassured about his actions, guided and corrected if necessary to be effective and keep the victim alive. 4 Technical problem solved

[0011] Reduction of response times thanks to an automated system.

[0012] Improving witness skills through priority one-minute video tutorials.

[0013] Immediate communication with an emergency assistance platform via videoconferencing.

[0014] Helps with quick installation of the defibrillator.

[0015] Improved positive chest compressions by the witness, which improves oxygenation to the victim's brain and gives them a better chance of survival.

[0016] Reduction of errors during rescue actions because the witness can be guided by the rescuers on the platform via videoconference. Solution provided by the invention

[0017] The Observation and Rescue System (SOS) offers an innovative and integrated solution to improve the management of life-threatening emergencies, particularly cardiac emergencies. It combines cutting-edge technologies to address the main challenges of emergency response and enables an efficient and rapid response.

[0018] Operating method:

[0019] In normal operation, the device displays on its screen health prevention information, awareness of first aid actions, as well as general instructions or mandatory messages related to the establishment.

[0020] The screen remains in passive mode, identifiable as emergency equipment thanks to a luminous and visible sign indicating the presence of a defibrillator (AED) in the lower housing. But also by the dynamic display which indicates the functions of this device. In emergency mode, when the witness opens the hatch where the defibrillator is located, a sensor based on magnets detects this action and automatically triggers the switch to priority mode.

[0021] Opening the hatch immediately interrupts the current screen display and launches an emergency assistance video tutorial. This tutorial guides the witness step by step through the installation and use of the defibrillator, as well as the performance of chest compressions.

[0022] At the same time, a notification is sent to the emergency assistance platform, alerting professionals of an ongoing intervention. The witness can scan a QR code displayed in the tutorial to establish direct contact via videoconference with the emergency center.

[0023] This interaction allows the witness to receive visual and audio advice in real time, thus optimizing the precision and effectiveness of rescue actions.

[0024] The Observation and Rescue System (SOS) is composed of the following elements:

[0025] Dynamic display screen:

[0026] Disseminates prevention and awareness information in passive mode.

[0027] In emergency mode, displays the emergency assistance tutorial, the video takes priority over the rest of the display.

[0028] Touch screen with interactive options to guide speakers.

[0029] High-performance digital signage management software.

[0030] Defibrillator housing:

[0031] Located under the screen, the housing is equipped with a marked hatch (European standard signage for defibrillators)

[0032] Includes a first aid kit specific to cardiac emergencies.

[0033] The size of the housing varies depending on the size of the screen (many models the housing increases in capacity with the size of the screen) Hatch opening sensor:

[0034] Based on magnets, it detects the opening of the hatch (from a movement of 2 millimeters) and automatically triggers the priority program.

[0035] Computer program:

[0036] Immediately launch the video tutorial when opening the defibrillator housing hatch.

[0037] Allows connectivity with an emergency platform (as soon as the defibrillator housing hatch is opened, the emergency assistance center is alerted by an emergency notification)

[0038] Emergency Aid Platform:

[0039] The witness will enter into a video conference on their mobile phone with our emergency center via a QR code on the screen.

[0040] Allows visual and audio support by professionals in real time.

[0041] The emergency cardiac assistance platform is composed of professionals trained in SAMU protocols, including nurses, firefighters, and first responders. These responders, trained by psychologists specialized in emergency management, provide optimal support to witnesses via videoconference. Their training allows them to guide rescue actions with precision while providing appropriate psychological support, thus helping responders remain calm and efficient in critical situations. They will contact emergency services for witnesses. ECG data retrieval:

[0042] The system allows emergency medical services to retrieve the victim's electrocardiogram on-site, reducing diagnostic delays. Normally, emergency medical services must retrieve the defibrillator and take it to the hospital to retrieve the recorded data. This saves approximately one hour on victim care and diagnosis.

[0043] To retrieve the data, the emergency medical service will connect the defibrillator to the screen via a cable permanently connected to the defibrillator housing. Simply select the "Data Retrieval" tab on the touchscreen and confirm. The screen will display the electrocardiogram from the last intervention.
