Description

[0001] UNIVERSAL HYBRIDIZATION SYSTEM FOR VEHICLES FIELD OF INVENTION

[0002]

[0001] In general, the present invention belongs to the automotive technology sector and refers, more specifically, to a universal hybridization system for vehicles, in particular, for motorcycles, tricycles or quadricycles which, through a motor arranged in the drive wheel by means of a fixed structure with a mobile fixing element, provides the conditions for the vehicle's engine to operate both electrically and by burning fuel.

[0003] BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0004]

[0002] Combustion-powered motorcycles are an excellent means of transport because their use allows urban mobility with greater ease, especially taking into account traffic and the limited space presented in urbanized regions with a higher population concentration. While these motorcycles solve the reported problem, they stand out as a major cause of pollution due to their use of a combustion engine that requires the burning of fossil fuel to function. Therefore, electric motorcycles were invented to solve this problem, but they are expensive, which makes them difficult to access and requires the purchase of a new vehicle.

[0005]

[0003] Electric motorcycles are a problem because they require the creation of electric charging stations that are not abundant in Brazil and in much of the world, so on certain occasions they tend to leave their users stranded due to lack of battery.

[0004] In this sense, there is an evident need for a universal electric auxiliary motor adaptation system for motorcycles and two-, three-, or four-wheeled vehicles equipped with a kit that allows the user to transform their existing motorcycle or two-wheeled vehicle into a hybrid, keeping the original engine and adding an electric motor with minimal necessary changes to the previously existing combustion motorcycle.

[0006]

[0005] That said, there are also some alternatives that represent the current state of the art and that are described in patent documents. Some examples can be observed as in the case of invention patent no. sPI9815502-4 “MOTORCYCLE WITH HYBRID TRANSMISSION SYSTEM” which discloses a motorcycle wherein a transmission shaft is arranged in a lower part of a power unit housing, a clutch shaft is arranged parallel to and above the transmission shaft, and a transmission shaft and an electric motor shaft are arranged so as to extend from one end of the clutch shaft in a longitudinal direction (front and rear) of the vehicle body. That is, the clutch shaft, the transmission shaft, and the electric motor shaft are arranged in series in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle body.

[0007]

[0006] Note that the aforementioned prior art is extremely complex and presents exactly the drawbacks previously described in the state of the art.

[0008]

[0007] Therefore, based on all the drawbacks existing in the systems and equipment currently used, described above in the state of the art, it is clear that there is a gap in the creation of a universal hybridization system for vehicles, in particular, for motorcycles, tricycles or quadricycles, which, through a motor arranged in the drive wheel by means of a fixed structure with a mobile fixing element, provides the conditions for the vehicle's engine to operate both electrically and by burning fuel.

[0009] SUMMARY AND OBJECTIVES OF THE INVENTION

[0010]

[0008] In order to solve the problems mentioned above, the present invention was developed, which consists of a kit that allows the user to transform his existing motorcycle or two, three or four-wheeled vehicle into a hybrid, keeping the original engine and adding an electric motor with minimal changes necessary to the previously existing combustion motorcycle.

[0011]

[0009] The proposed system involves a motor positioned on the drive wheel via a fixed structure via a movable fastening element, providing the conditions for the vehicle's engine to operate both electrically and by burning fuel. This motor is connected to a lithium battery bank, with its power controlled by a speed controller and a hand throttle.

[0010] The system in question was developed to be as universal as possible, without requiring the removal of the original engine (combustion) and without the need for changes to the original electrical system, requiring minimal changes to be used on any type, year, and power of motorcycles and tricycles.

[0012]

[0011] Thus, the present system aims to propose an engine arranged in the drive wheel by means of a fixed structure with a mobile fixing element, providing the conditions for the vehicle's engine to operate both electrically and by burning fuel.

[0021]

[0021] Figure 9 represents a preferred form of execution, in which a motorcycle receives the engine with the base on the drive wheel by means of a fixed structure with a mobile fixing element.

[0022] DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0022] The system proposed herein consists of a structure (10) formed by the fixing of three parts (1 1 )(12)(13) that allow the fixing to the axle of the drive wheel of any motorcycle (M) and responsible for solidifying the engine (20).

[0023]

[0023] The first part (1 1 ) is provided with a hole (1 1 1 ) arranged in the lower portion that has a diameter that allows it to be fixed to the screw (M1 1 ) of the axle of the drive wheel (M1 ). In the upper portion it has a groove (1 12) and a pair of holes (1 13) that allow it to be fixed and fitted to the second part (12), as detailed in Figure 1 .

[0024]

[0024] The second piece (12) has an 'L' shape with a larger face (121) featuring oblong grooves (121 A) and a smaller face (122) featuring oblong grooves (122A), known as grooves (121A)(122A) that allow the fixing of the piece (11) and piece (13). The piece (12) also has a projection (123) that allows the structuring of the piece in an 'L' shape, as shown in Figure 2.

[0025]

[0025] Figure 3 demonstrates the constructive form of fitting between the parts (1 1)(12), so that the groove (1 12) is positioned next to the projection (123) and the holes (1 13) are positioned next to the oblong grooves (122A). This constructiveness allows the hole (1 1 1 ) to be positioned and fixed next to the screw (M1 1 ) of the axle (M1 ) of the motorcycle.

[0026]

[0026] The third piece (13) has a base (131) provided with oblong grooves (131 A) and a circular structure (132) provided with a central hole (132A) and small holes (132B), the structure and base (131)(132) being fixed through structures (133). The oblong grooves (131 A) of the base (131) are positioned and fitted next to the face (121) of the piece (12) through screws positioned next to the grooves (121 A)(131 A). The central hole (132A) of the structure (132) allows the positioning of the motor shaft so that it is aligned to allow the wheel to be driven, as shown in Figure 4.

[0027]

[0027] The motor (20) is fixed to the grooves (131 A) of the base (131 ) of the part (13).

[0028]

[0028] Figure 5 demonstrates the construction form of fitting between the parts (11)(12)(13) and the form that is positioned next to the motorcycle axle.

[0029]

[0029] Figure 6 shows the drive wheel axle (M1 ) of the original motorcycle (M), detailing the screw (M1 1 ). With the aim of demonstrating where the universal system for hybridizing motorcycles and similar vehicles is positioned.

[0030]

[0030] Figures 7 and 8 demonstrate how to fix and position the structure (10) next to the axle of the drive wheel (M1) of the motorcycle (M), detailing the positioning of each part.

[0031]

[0031] The parts (1 1 )(12)(13) are positioned and fixed to each other using screws (not shown) along the oblong grooves, which allows the positioning of the parts to be adjusted to adapt the structure to any type of motorcycle (M), thus making it a universal hybridization system.

[0032]

[0032] Once the engine (20) is fixed, the belt or chain (M2) of the combustion engine (M3) of the motorcycle (M) must be placed on the engine shaft (20) so that when activated, the engine (20) starts to drive the vehicle.

[0033] To do this, a set of electrical conductors (30A) is connected directly to the control module (not shown) of the combustion engine (M3) of the motorcycle (M), being powered and providing conditions for the manual accelerator (M4) on the handlebars (M5) of the motorcycle (M) to control the engine (20).

[0034] Furthermore, the system has a battery bank (30) attached to the motorcycle's luggage rack (M) so that the engine is powered directly by the battery bank (30) which can be charged by the motorcycle's own alternator (M).

[0033]

[0035] The motor (20) can operate at voltages supplied by the battery bank (30), preferably lithium, with voltages that can vary from 12 volts to 220 volts, with its power varying between 500W and 18,000W.

[0034]

[0036] The rider, using a control (not shown), can choose when the motorcycle (M) will be driven by the engine (20) using the hand throttle (M4) on the motorcycle's handlebars (M).
