Abstract
Description
[0001]BOARD CARRIER DEVICE OBJECT OF THE INVENTION Description The invention, as expressed in the title of this specification, relates to a board carrier device, such as a skateboard or bodyboard, windsurf board or the like, which provides advantages and features, which are described in detail below. The object of the present invention falls on a board carrier device comprising a clamping mechanism and a turning mechanism that allow a board, such as a skateboard or bodyboard, windsurf board or the like, to be held and turned, in order to be able to place it in different positions, said device being specially designed to be incorporated into a bag, consisting of a backpack to be carried hanging on the back, a fanny pack to be carried attached to the side, or a shoulder bag to be worn across the shoulder, allowing the user to avoid the problem of carrying the board all the time when not in use, thus freeing both hands. The clamping mechanism is based on three mobile clamps, two lateral and one vertical, which are adjusted to hold the board adapting to its dimensions regardless of its size, and the rotating mechanism, once secured with the clamps, allows the board to be rotated to place it in a vertical position or tilted to one side or the other, as preferred by the user, to be able to carry it more comfortably. The scope of the present invention falls within the sector of the industry dedicated to the manufacture of sports equipment, focusing particularly on the field of sports accessories for transporting sports boards, such as a skateboard or bodyboard, windsurfing board or the like. Background of the invention Skaters or skate board or skateboard practitioners cannot always move around on their board, so when they do not do so, they must carry it held by hand or inside a bag that has the appropriate dimensions or fasteners to allow its transport. The problem is that the existing bags or accessories for transporting this type of boards are not always suitable. Thus, in the case of bags, they are large bags, to allow the board to fit inside, so when the user uses the board, they become a hindrance.Another solution is bags or backpacks that include rubber or Velcro straps to hold the board. However, these are not a suitable solution either, as the board is usually heavy, the straps break easily, and they do not always fit all board sizes. The objective of the present invention is, therefore, to develop a device specifically designed to comfortably carry a skateboard. This device is sufficiently resistant, adaptable to any board size, allowing it to be carried comfortably while freeing the hands, and, at the same time, can be used as a bag to carry other objects. On the other hand, and as a reference to the current state of the art, it should be noted that, at least on the part of the applicant, the existence of any other sports board carrying device, or any other invention of similar application, that has technical, structural and constitutive characteristics equal to or similar to those claimed here is unknown. Explanation of the invention The board carrying device that the invention proposes is configured as an optimal solution to the objectives previously indicated which, in turn, represents an improvement of the current state of the art, the characterizing details that make it possible and that distinguish it being conveniently collected in the final claims that accompany this description.Specifically, what the invention proposes, as noted above, is a device that essentially comprises a clamping mechanism and a turning mechanism that allow a board such as a skateboard or bodyboard, windsurf board or the like to be held and turned, in order to be able to place it in different positions, said device being designed to be integrated into a hanging bag, preferably integrated by the external part of the same, and may consist of a backpack, a fanny pack or a shoulder bag that the user can hang on his back, on his side or on his shoulder, allowing the user to have both hands free, and to be able to turn the board in order to be able to place it in different positions and thereby make its transport more comfortable. To this end, and more specifically, the mechanisms of the device that allows the board to be fixed and rotated are essentially: - a first mechanism or clamping mechanism, essentially made up of three mobile clamps, two on the sides and one vertical, which, associated with support plates that act as a guide, are adjusted to hold the board on both sides and at one end, adapting to its dimensions regardless of its size, and - a second mechanism or turning mechanism that, once the board is held in place by the clamps of the first mechanism, allows the entire assembly to be turned in order to place the board in three different positions, depending on what is most comfortable for the user: vertical, tilted to the right or tilted to the left. With all this, one of the main advantages of the invention, and what differentiates it from other known solutions, is that it allows the board to be removed and stored with a single movement, easily, quickly, and effortlessly. To complement the description being made and in order to assist in a better understanding of the characteristics of the invention, a drawing is attached to this specification as an integral part thereof, in which the following is represented for illustrative and non-limiting purposes: Figure 1.- Shows a schematic front elevation view of a first example of the board carrying device that is the object of the invention, specifically incorporated into a backpack-shaped bag, which is represented in the position of use on the back of a user with the board incorporated and arranged vertically; Figure 2.- Shows a view of the board carrying device of the invention similar to that shown in the previous figure, in this case with the board placed in an inclined position to the right; Figures 3-A and 3-B.- Show schematic side and front elevation views of another example of the board-carrying device of the invention, in this case incorporated into a fanny pack type bag, also shown in the position of use on the user's side and with the board incorporated in a vertical position and with the board inclined respectively; Figures 4-A, 4-B, 5-A and 5-B. - Show front elevation views of the board-carrying device of the invention represented independently, without being incorporated into any bag, which is shown respectively in the closed position and in the open position without incorporating the board and, in turn, in Figures 4-A and 4-B in an example with the jaws without lower thickening for use with a backpack, and in Figures 5-A and 5-B with upper and lower thickening in the jaws, for use with a fanny pack; Figures 6, 7 and 8.- Show respective front elevation views of the elements that make up the first mobile clamping press mechanism comprising the board-holder device of the invention behind the front plate, represented respectively in the closed, open and board-clamping positions; Figures 9, 10 and 11.- Show respective front elevation, rear elevation and rear perspective views of the front plate of the clamping mechanism comprising the board-holder device object of the invention, showing its configuration and essential parts; Figures 12 and 13.- Show respective views, in front and rear elevation respectively, of the rear plate of the clamping mechanism of the device shown in Figures 6 to 8; Figure 14.- Shows an exploded view of the main elements comprising the clamping mechanism of the board holder device, except for the plates shown in figures 9 to 13, having been represented with two types of clamp, with a single upper thickening, for use with a backpack type bag, and with two upper and lower thickenings, for use with a fanny pack type bag; Figure number 15.- Shows a schematic elevation view of the second mechanism or board turning mechanism comprising the accessory device for holding the board to the device, schematically represented behind the rear plate of the first mechanism or board clamping mechanism; Figures number 16, 17 and 18.- Show respective front elevation views of the table turning mechanism shown in figure 15, in this case not coupled to the first mechanism and represented, respectively, to place the table in a vertical position, inclined to the right and inclined to the left; Figures 19 and 20.- Show respective elevation views, front and rear, respectively, of the base comprising the turning mechanism shown in figures 16 to 18, showing its configuration and parts thereof; and Figures 21 and 22.- Show respective elevation views, front and rear, respectively, of the disk comprising the turning mechanism shown in figures 16 to 18, showing its configuration and essential parts. Preferred embodiment of the. In view of the aforementioned figures, and in accordance with the adopted numbering, a non-limiting embodiment of the inventive board carrying device can be observed, which comprises what is described in detail below. Thus, as seen in said figures, the inventive board carrying device (5) (6a), such as a skateboard (6), or bodyboard, windsurf board or the like, is essentially distinguished by comprising: • a mechanism for holding (7) the board (6a), and • a turning mechanism (8) that allows said board (6a) to be turned so that it can be placed in different positions. Preferably, the device (5) is integrated by the external part of the receptacle (2) of a hanging bag (1), which comprises a receptacle (2) for storing objects, normally insertable and removable through a mouth (3) with a closure, for example a zipper, and one or more hanging straps (4) to be able to carry the bag (1) hanging on the back, held on the side or crossed over the shoulder. As shown in figures 1 and 2, the bag (1) is a backpack, or as shown in figures 3-A and 3-B, where the bag (1) is a fanny pack, and may also consist of a shoulder bag (not shown). In any case, looking at figures 4 to 13 it can be seen how, preferably, the clamping mechanism (7) of the device (5) comprises three mobile presses, two lateral ones (9) and a lower vertical one (10), which are associated with two support plates, a front one (11) and a rear one (12), which act as a guide allowing the movement of said presses between a closed position (figures 4-A, 5-A and 6) where they are collected without disturbing when the device (5) is not used to carry the skateboard (6), an open position (figures 4-B, 5-B and 7) that allows the board (6a) of the skateboard (6) to be introduced between them, and a clamping position (figure 8) in which the side clamps (9) fit onto both sides of the deck (6a) of the skateboard (6) while the lower clamp (10) holds one end of the deck (6a). To this end, preferably, the mobile side clamps (9) incorporate jaws (13) that embrace the respective edges of the deck (6a). And, preferably, the lower vertical clamp (10) incorporates a rim (14) suitable for receiving, inserted therethrough, one end of the deck (6a) of the skateboard (6). Furthermore, preferably, at least when the bag (1) is a backpack, said jaws (13) have a protuberance only at their upper end, but not at the lower end, as shown in figures 1 and 2 and in figures 4 and 5, since this makes it easier to extract the deck (6a). In any case, in a preferred embodiment, the movement of the three presses (9,10) is synchronized because they are linked together by two articulated arms (15), such that the side presses (9) open and close in a single movement produced by the application of weight on the lower vertical press (10). Thus, when inserting the end of the board (6a) of the skateboard (6) into the frame (14), the vertical press (10) causes the articulated arms (15) to descend from the initial inverted V position (figure 6) causing them to become horizontal (figure 7) which causes the separation of their distal ends and, consequently, the opening of the side presses (9) and, subsequently, they pass the final V position (figure 8) where again the distal ends of the articulated arms (15) come closer together causing the closing of the side presses (9). Preferably, the side presses (9) are joined, each one,a rectangular frame (16) that, as a guide, slides transversely in a central space (17) provided on both sides of the front plate (11) and the rear plate (12) on the respective internal faces (11a), (12a) thereof and which serve as support and guide for said frames (16). And, preferably, the lower vertical press (10) is connected to a straight rod (18) that, also as a guide, slides vertically in a central vertical channel (19) also provided on the respective internal faces (11a, 12a) of both front (11) and rear (12) plates. Figure 9 shows the external face (11b) of the front plate (11) where a central protuberance (11c) is contemplated that acts as a support for the board (6a) of the skateboard (6) whose central area is in contact with it,while figures 10 and 11 show the inner face (11a) of said front plate (11). And figure 12 shows the inner face of the rear plate (12) while figure 13 shows the outer face (12b) of said rear plate (12). In turn, in the preferred embodiment, the articulated arms (15) are joined together by their proximal ends in a central articulated joint (15a) with which, in turn, they are joined to the rod (18) of the lower vertical press (10), while by their distal ends they are joined, through lateral articulated joints (15b), to the respective frames (16) of each of the two lateral presses (9) of the clamping mechanism (7). As can be seen in figure 11, the central spaces (17) of the internal faces (11a, 12a) of the front plate (11) and rear plate (12) for the sliding of the frames (16) to which the side presses (9) are attached are open in the opposite lateral edges of said two plates (11, 12),where respective stops (20) have also been provided to prevent the side presses (9) from opening beyond a certain point and the frames (16) from coming out from between said support plates (11, 12). And, for its part, the central vertical channel (19) is open along the lower edge of the plates (11, 12). Both front (11) and rear (12) plates are coupled together facing each other by their respective internal faces (11a, 12a) defining a casing with several housings that define the central spaces (17) and the vertical channel (19) where the frames (16) of the side presses (9) and the rod (18) of the lower vertical press (10) are respectively housed with a sliding movement. On the other hand, it should be noted that, in order to lock the position of the presses (9, 10) once the board (6a) of the skateboard (6) is placed,a locking mechanism (21) is provided integrated between the front plate (11) and the rear plate (12) so that it blocks the movement of the articulated arms (15). Preferably, said locking mechanism (21) comprises a push button (22) articulately associated with a pin (23) which, in turn, is linked to a stud (24) that locks into a projection (25) provided in the rod (18) of the lower vertical press (10) to which, in turn, both articulated arms (15) are connected by their proximal end, such that, when said push button (22) is pressed, the stud (24) blocks or does not block the movement of the rod (18). It should be noted at this point that, when the device (5) is incorporated into a backpack type bag (1) (figures 1 and 2), it preferably does not include the described locking mechanism (21), since the user does not lean on the board (6a) and therefore it does not move. Furthermore, the button (22) would not be easy to press when the backpack is worn. Therefore, in such a case, the mechanism (5) only has three positions towards the right and three positions towards the left. However, when the device (5) of the invention is incorporated into a fanny pack type bag (1) (figures 3-A and 3-B), preferably, it has a locking mechanism (21) and a push button (22), since it is easy for the user to inadvertently lean on the board (6a) and move it unintentionally. In this case, preferably, the mechanism (5) has six positions towards the right and six positions towards the left, being able to place the board even horizontally. In parallel, in an embodiment of the device (5) preferably applicable to incorporate into a backpack type bag, figures 1 and 2, the jaws (13) only have a thickening in the upper part, to facilitate the extraction of the board, as seen in figures 4-A and 4-B, while in an embodiment preferably applicable to incorporate into a fanny pack type bag,Figures 3-A and 3-B, the jaws (13) have two thickenings, one in the upper part and another in the lower part. In addition, preferably, between the front plate (11) and the rear plate (12) there is the inclusion of a fastener (26) in the form of a wire that is inserted between the respective washers (27), as shown in Figure 12, and two springs (28), visible in Figure 10, whose purpose, as explained later, is to facilitate the turning movement of the skateboard (6). Thus, looking at figures 15 to 22, it can be seen how, preferably, the turning mechanism (8) comprising the device (5) of the bag (1) to be able to place the skateboard (6) in a vertical position (figure 1) or in a position inclined to the right (figure 2) or inclined to the left or even in a horizontal position (not shown), preferably comprises a support base (29) with a central circular hole (30),which is screwed to the external face (12b) of the rear plate (12) so that, preferably, it is attached to the receptacle (2) of the bag (1), and a disc (31) that fits and is coupled in the central hole (30) of the base (29) and is linked to the rear plate (12) through respective projections (32) that emerge from the front face (31a) of the disc (31) and fit into two complementary slots (33) provided for this purpose in said rear plate (12), such that when the disc (31) rotates, the rear plate (12) rotates and with it, the front plate (11) and the side (9) and lower (10) presses as well as the skateboard (6) that is held between them. Preferably, the disc (31) fits over the central hole (30) of the base (29) inserted in a circular recess (34) provided in the perimeter of said hole (30). Preferably, to prevent the turning mechanism (8) from spinning, the disc (31) has, in at least a portion of its outer edge,a toothed area (35) that comes into contact with one of the washers (27) to which the fastening wire (26) is associated, such that the recesses of said toothed area (35) lock into it to carry out the rotation movement from one position to another in a controlled manner and in sections. For their part, the springs (28) allow, through external clamping handles (36), to unlock the disc (31) to rotate the assembly. Having sufficiently described the nature of the present invention, as well as the manner of putting it into practice, it is not considered necessary to explain it further so that any expert in the field understands its scope and the advantages derived from it.
