Abstract
Description
[0001] DEVICE FOR ATTACHING AN ADDITIONAL DESTRUCTIVE ELEMENT TO THE AMMUNITION
[0002] FIELD OF TECHNOLOGY TO WHICH THE INVENTION RELATES
[0003] The present invention relates to the military industry, namely, to air defense systems. More specifically, the invention is a device for attaching an additional striking element in the form of a net to a munition. The claimed invention is used to destroy air targets, primarily those equipped with propellers.
[0004] LEVEL OF TECHNOLOGY
[0005] Currently, an additional striking element in the form of a net is attached to the ammunition before firing and loaded together with it into the barrel of the weapon, which requires significant modification of the design of the ammunition and weapons and complicates their manufacturing process.
[0006] Thus, in the prior art there is known an underbarrel grenade launcher ammunition for destroying unmanned aerial vehicles, made in the form of a grenade, containing a warhead and an ammunition body, where on the outer side surface of the ammunition body there is a leading belt and an annular groove, in which a mechanical distance switch is located, characterized in that the warhead of the ammunition - grenade consists of a two-segment fairing, a two-segment steel cup with pins, the inner surface of the two-segment steel cup is covered by a protective gasket, inside which a net with striking elements attached to its corners is laid, a wad is located behind the two-segment steel cup, the ammunition - grenade body consists of a cylindrical steel cup, playing the role of a combustion chamber and a guide for firing a two-segment steel cup with a net and striking elements, in the cylindrical steel cup in the space behind the wad there is a powder charge, wherein the wad is designed with the possibility of preventing the breakthrough of powder gases between the wall of the cylindrical steel cup and the two-segment steel cup, behind the wad and the powder charge there is a mechanical distance switch consisting of front and rear fixed parts made of aluminum, an aluminum adjustment ring, three powder retarders, three gas-generating powder charges, three steel balls that act as valves for locking the powder gases in the cylindrical part of the body, a bolt, a washer with holes for transmitting a flame beam, a nut, connecting screws that regulate the compression force of the adjustment ring, and screws for laying the gas-generating powder charges and balls in the channels of the front fixed part, a rubber ring for a hermetically sealed connection of the cylindrical steel cup with the mechanical distance switch, behind the mechanical distance switch there is a transfer charge and the bottom of the grenade,in which the propelling charge of the grenade of the underbarrel grenade launcher is installed (see RU 2 789 825 C1, publication date 10.02.2023).
[0007] Also known is a utility model that relates to mesh trap devices of a throwing type, in particular, to a mesh bomb-grenade, containing a body that is divided into three compartments, and the compartments are located in a given order. Inside the body, a nylon mesh is installed, one of the chambers is equipped with a universal igniter and gunpowder, a rubber guide head, and the universal igniter includes a fuse and an igniter tube. In another of the chambers, a piston is installed. The piston, due to force, pushes the rubber guide head pressed against the gunpowder, due to which the nylon mesh extends and opens and flies to the target together with the rubber guide head (see CN 203586965, publication date 07.05.2014).
[0008] The disadvantage of these technical solutions is the complication of the design of weapons and ammunition that use a net as a means of destruction, due to the need for compact placement of the net inside the barrel of a small arms and its connection with the ammunition so that it passes together with the ammunition with the least resistance through the barrel of the weapon during firing.
[0009] From an open source of information (Internet) at the link: https: / / techcrunch.com / 2016 / 03 / 04 / the-skywall-100-bazooka-captures-drones-with-a- iant- net / ? guccounter= 1 a smart bazooka is known that shoots a container containing a net at unmanned aerial vehicles at a distance of 100 meters. The operator aims at the drone and releases a container containing a large net that gets entangled in the drone's rotors, thereby disabling it.
[0010] The disadvantage of this solution is the short flight range.
[0011] DISCLOSURE OF THE ESSENCE OF THE INVENTION
[0012] The claimed invention is aimed at eliminating the shortcomings of the prior art and using a net to destroy air targets, primarily those equipped with propellers, in combination with standard ammunition and weapons, which eliminates the need for an additional striking element in the form of a net to pass through the barrel of a weapon together with the ammunition during a shot.
[0013] The technical result of the present invention is to simplify the design of the device for attaching an additional striking element in the form of a net to the ammunition, and to increase the flight range of the net as a means of destroying air targets.
[0014] The technical result is achieved due to the design of the device for attaching an additional striking element to the ammunition, which is a ring-shaped attachment made with the possibility of being mounted on the ammunition and equipped with flexible elements that form a network, wherein the internal diameter of the ring-shaped attachment is larger than the diameter of the head of the ammunition and smaller than its largest diameter.
[0015] The device for attaching to the ammunition can be installed opposite the outlet of the weapon barrel and coaxially with it.
[0016] In an embodiment of the invention, the annular nozzle can be made in the form of a bearing.
[0017] Flexible elements of the attachment to the ammunition can be attached to the outside of the ring-shaped nozzle.
[0018] In another embodiment of the invention, the device for attaching an additional striking element in the form of a net to the ammunition can be placed in a cylindrical container with a through hole and with double walls, one wall being external and the other internal, with the net located between the said walls.
[0019] The ammunition is connected to the ring-shaped attachment, equipped with a net, at the moment of its flight from the weapon barrel as a result of a shot, while the internal diameter of the ring-shaped attachment is larger than the diameter of the head of the ammunition on which it is attached, and smaller than its largest diameter. The ring-shaped attachment can be made in the form of a bearing to eliminate the twisting of the net in flight as a result of the rotation of the ammunition around its longitudinal axis after it is fired from the rifled bore of the weapon barrel.
[0020] BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS Fig. 1 shows a diagram of a device for attaching an additional striking element in the form of a net to the ammunition (top view).
[0021] Fig. 2 shows a diagram of a device for attaching an additional striking element in the form of a net to the ammunition (side view).
[0022] Fig. 3 shows the position of the device for attaching an additional striking element in the form of a net directly to the ammunition in flight.
[0023] Fig. 4 and Fig. 5 show the position of the device for attaching an additional striking element in the form of a net in a container to the ammunition.
[0024] IMPLEMENTATION OF THE INVENTION
[0025] The device 1 for attaching an additional striking element in the form of a net to the ammunition is a ring-shaped attachment which is placed on the ammunition 6 and equipped with flexible elements forming the net 5, wherein the internal diameter of the ring-shaped attachment is larger than the diameter of the head part of the ammunition 6 and smaller than its largest diameter (see Figs. 1, 2 and 3). The flexible elements are attached to the outer 2 side of the ring-shaped attachment.
[0026] The attachment with the net 1 is installed opposite the outlet opening of the weapon barrel 11, coaxially with it, and is placed on the ammunition 6 at the moment of firing it from the barrel of the weapon 11.
[0027] Attachment 1 can be made in the form of a bearing to eliminate twisting of the net in flight as a result of rotation of the ammunition around its longitudinal axis after firing it from the rifled bore of the weapon.
[0028] Between the outer 2 and inner 3 sides of the nozzle there is a material 4 for reducing friction. The material 4 for reducing friction or rolling elements can be the same as in plain bearings, for example, liquid oils, plastic lubricants, pastes, antifriction coatings (see Fig. 1).
[0029] The nozzle 1 can be made, for example, cylindrical or in the form of a truncated cone.
[0030] The net 5 is rigidly attached to the bearing attachment 1, for example, thermally, by means of glue, by welding or by using solder. In an embodiment of the invention, the net 5 can be tied to the attachment 1, for which purpose holes (not shown) can be provided along the diameter of the attachment. The net 5, during its contact with the propeller of the aerial target, is wound onto the propeller, the propeller shaft, which leads to a slowdown in its rotation, a complete stop or to a violation of the flight stability of the aerial target, which leads to its fall. In the absence of contact with the propeller, the aerial target is hit due to the impact of the ammunition and the net on the body or other structural elements of the target, which leads to a violation of the stability of its flight.
[0031] The net 5 can be made of durable synthetic material, such as capron, nylon; the nozzle material - metals, their alloys or synthetic materials.
[0032] The attachment 1 with the net 5 can be placed in the cylindrical container 10, in which there is a through hole 9 for the discharge of the ammunition 6. The container 10 is made with double walls, one of which is external 7, and the other is internal 8, between which the net 5 is placed, and connected to each other on the side opposite to that to which the attachment 1 is attached (see Figs. 4 and 5). The attachment 1 is attached to the internal 8 wall of the container 10 by means of glue, spikes or by a spacer. In turn, the container 10 is attached to the barrel of the weapon 11, coaxially to it, by the side opposite to the side of attachment of the attachment 1 (see Fig. 4). After firing the ammunition 6, for example, a projectile, a bullet with a nozzle, and its flight through the through hole 9, the container 10 is replaced by another with a nozzle 1 or a new nozzle 1 is installed in the container 10. Thus, the container 10 is a kind of packaging or storage place, placement of the nozzle 1 with the net 5.
[0033] The container 10 may be made of any material selected from the group including thick cardboard, plastic or metal. The net 5 is held inside the walls of the container 10 by friction. On the side, the back side, to which the nozzle 1 is attached, the inner 8 and outer 7 walls of the container may be connected by the material from which the container 10 is made.
[0034] To determine the firing range of a standard weapon with a net ammunition using the proposed device, we will take the bullet weight of 8 g, the maximum flight range when fired from a Kalashnikov assault rifle of 3000 m, the weight of the bearing attachment of 8 g, the weight of a nylon net with an area of 0.5 m2 (40*40 mm mesh, 0.8 mm diameter polyamide thread) of approximately 10 g. In total, due to the increased weight (26 g compared to 8 g), the flight length decreases by more than 3.25 times. That is, it will be approximately 900 m. If we accept an additional correction for the increasing air resistance due to the complexity of the geometric figure by 3 times, then the flight range is approximately 300 m. In addition, it is necessary to take into account that in order to hit an air target with a net, tight contact between the net and the target's propeller is sufficient. When using long-range rifles or anti-aircraft guns as weapons, the range of destruction of air targets increases in proportion to the flight range of the ammunition when fired from these types of weapons.
[0035] Examples of special weapons that shoot a net with a range of up to 15 m are known from open sources. In addition, the British company OpenWorks Engineering is known, which announced the creation of the SkyWall 100 weapon, designed to neutralize small unmanned aerial vehicles. To catch drones, the weapon shoots a net at a distance of up to 100 m.
[0036] Thus, the above-mentioned weapons have a net flight range less than the approximate firing range of a rifled firearm using the proposed device.
