[0003] Embodiments of the present disclosure generally relate to an applicator head for applying and dispensing a product, including cosmetic care, or pharmaceutical products, to human skin or keratinous materials, such as hair, eyebrows, face, lips, nails, and / or eyelashes. More specifically, the present disclosure relates to an applicator head that has a thermal member, which provides a thermal effect that creates a cooling sensation upon application.
[0004] Cosmetic applicators such as dip or wand applicators are known in the cosmetic industry. Cosmetic packages frequently incorporate these applicators for administering a specific cosmetic or medicinal product contained in the package reservoir. These applicators typically consist of an exterior tubular shell or housing with a reservoir containing a product and an applicator tip positioned at the distal end of the shell or housing. The applicator heads have the form of a brush, spatula, or other applicator structure that is suited for applying a cosmetic or care product such as viscous cosmetics, mascara, eyeliner, lip gloss, hair colour, wound care, skin care, under-eye cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and like products.
[0005] In many cases, these medicinal and cosmetic goods may contain skincare elements such as aloe vera or lanolin, which have a healing or therapeutic effect on injured skin or retain healthy skin. In addition, cosmetic dispensing packages already exist that include a fluid reservoir associated with a rigid and heat-transfer dispenser head for use on the skin, particularly the skin of the face. Furthermore, these products may also incorporate a thermal member that provides a cooling or hot feeling to the skin while the product is applied using the applicator.
[0006] The US Patent US11653739B1 assigned to APR Beauty Group Inc describes an applicator head designed to be used with a cosmetic dispensing package to dispense and apply fluid products. The applicator head is partially constructed of a material having thermal capacity, which may hold and transfer heat energy.
[0007] Another US patent US11096467B2 assigned to HCT Group Holding Ltd discloses a dispenser having a housing and a reservoir for containing a pharmaceutical or cosmetic care product. An applicator tip is attached to the housing and contains an applicator as well as a product delivery tunnel that runs through the tip and ends at an opening in the applicator. Further, a thermal storage mechanism is located on the applicator, away from the entrance and provides an application surface for contacting a user.
[0008] While such applicators are generally satisfactory, there still exists a need for an applicator head that is capable of providing a thermal treatment to the user's skin and is economical to manufacture and is aesthetically pleasing.
[0009] Therefore to overcome the shortcomings of the prior arts, there is a need to provide an appropriate ergonomic orientation for the thermal storage applicator part deprived of product delivery passage, which is strongly longitudinally oriented to the package and to the axis along which the product is dispensed from the applicator.
[0010] It would therefore be desirable to have a package with the product delivery channel through the non-thermal storage applicator part along its longitudinal axis and with the product dispensing axis oriented along the said longitudinal axis.
[0011] In accordance with the present disclosure, the disadvantages and limitations of the prior art are substantially avoided by providing an improved applicator for applying a product including a cosmetic or a care product. More particularly, the present disclosure relates to an applicator that may allow a product to be applied locally or topically to human skin or keratinous materials, such as hair, eyebrows, face, lips, nails, and / or eyelashes.
[0012] The primary objective of the present invention is to provide an applicator head that includes a thermal member having thermal capacities, capable of providing a cooling or heating sensation on the skin of the user.
[0013] Another objective of the present invention is to provide an applicator head that allows a product to be applied locally or topically to a selected area of a keratin surface and provides a thermal sensation to the keratin surface. The product may include viscous liquid, semisolid or powder products.

[0016] Accordingly, an applicator head may be provided to apply a product including a cosmetic or a care product. The applicator head comprises a main body and a thermal member. The thermal member may be made of a thermal storage material such as metal, ceramic, metal alloy, or stone. They are preferably materials with a thermal conductivity coefficient (A) greater than 10 W / (m*K). The thermal member may be used for massaging the user’s skin. At least a portion of the main body may define at least one application face and at least a portion of the thermal member may define at least one other application face. The thermal member may include a material capable of retaining and transferring heat or cold for a while.
[0017] According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, an applicator head comprises a main body having a dispensing aperture oriented along its dispensing axis. The dispensing aperture can be an orifice, a vent, a slit or a slot. The dispensing aperture may dispense a product stored in a container. Furthermore, the main body may comprise a connecting member configured to receive the product stored in the container. The main body and the connecting member may form a channel allowing the flow of the cosmetic or care product stored in the container onto the applicator face. The collar head may further comprise first engagement members provided at a lower portion of the collar head, the first engagement members configured to mate with complementary engagement members provided in the container, to fasten the collar head to the container. The collar head may further comprise second engagement member provided at an upper portion of the collar head, the second engagement member configured to mate with complementary engagement member provided in a lower portion of the main body, to fasten the main body to the collar head. It is therefore to be understood that numerous modifications may be made to the illustrative embodiments and that other arrangements may be devised without departing from the spirit and scope of the present disclosure and the scope thereof is determined by the claims that follow.
Claims
CLAIMS1. A cosmetic applicator head (200) for applying cosmetic or care products, which comprises: a main body (210) comprising a dispensing aperture (214) oriented along its dispensing axis (Y) configured to dispense a product stored in a container; a thermal member (220) coupled to the main body (210) using a coupling feature (218); wherein the main body (210) forms a channel (102) configured to receive the product stored in the container; wherein the main body (210) comprises the coupling feature (218) with a longitudinal axis substantially aligned or parallel with the longitudinal axis of the main body (210); wherein at least a portion of the main body (210) defines at least one application face (222); wherein at least a portion of the thermal member (220) defines at least one other application face; wherein at least a portion of the thermal member (220) is made of a thermal material capable of transferring heat to or from a user's skin; wherein a portion of the thermal member (220) with maximum application surface is aligned substantially along the longitudinal axis (X) of the main body (210); wherein the application face (222) of the thermal member (220) and the application face of the main body (210) lie in different vertical planes and do not form a smooth continuous application face; and wherein the longitudinal axis of the main body (210) is aligned with a longitudinal axis of the thermal member (220) and the dispensing axis (Y) of the dispensing aperture (214).
2. The applicator head as claimed in claim 1 , further comprises a collar head configured to be connected to the applicator head at one end and to the container at another end.
3. The applicator head as claimed in claim 2, wherein the main body comprises a connecting member configured to receive the product stored in the container.
4. The applicator head as claimed in claim 2, wherein the collar head further comprises first engagement members provided at a lower portion of the collar head, the first engagement members configured to mate with complementary engagement members provided in the container, to fasten the collar head to the container.
5. The applicator head as claimed in claim 2, wherein the collar head further comprises second engagement members provided at an upper portion of the collar head, the second engagement members configured to mate with complementary engagement members provided in a lower portion of the main body, to fasten the main body to the collar head.
6. The applicator head as claimed in claim 4, wherein the collar head further comprises third engagement members configured to mate with complementary engagement members of the connecting member, to fasten the connecting member to the collar head.
7. A cosmetic applicator head for applying cosmetic or care products, the cosmetic applicator head comprises: a main body comprising a dispensing aperture oriented along its dispensing axis and configured to dispense a product stored in a container; a thermal member coupled to the main body; wherein the main body comprises a connecting member configured to receive theproduct stored in the container; wherein the main body and the connecting member form a channel configured to receive the product stored in the container; wherein the thermal member is made of thermal material capable of transferring heat to or from a user's skin disposed on the applicator's face; wherein the main body comprises a slot provided in a top end of the main body, the slot being configured to receive therewithin the thermal member such that the thermal member is coaxial with a longitudinal axis of the main body; and wherein the main body, the thermal member, the connecting member are coaxial.
8. The applicator head as claimed in claim 7, wherein the channel comprises a first channel portion formed in the connecting member, a second channel portion formed in the main body, and a third channel portion formed in the main body, wherein the third channel portion terminating at the dispensing aperture.
9. The applicator head as claimed in claim 8, wherein the first channel portion is coaxial with the longitudinal axis of the main body, the second channel portion is disposed at a first predetermined angle with respect to the first channel portion, and the third channel portion is disposed at a second predetermined angle with respect to the second channel portion and wherein the third channel portion is parallel to the first channel portion.
10. The applicator head as claimed in claim 8, wherein the third channel portion forming the dispensing axis, the dispensing axis is substantially parallel to and offset from the longitudinal axis of the main body.
11. The applicator head as claimed in claim 7, further comprises a collar head configured to be connected to the applicator head at one end and to the container at another end.
12. The applicator head as claimed in claim 11 , wherein the thermal member and the main body are coaxial with a longitudinal axis of the collar head.
13. A cosmetic applicator head for applying cosmetic or care products, the cosmetic applicator head comprises: a main body comprising a dispensing aperture oriented along its dispensing axis configured to dispense a product stored in a container; a thermal member coupled to the main body using a coupling feature; wherein the main body forms a channel configured to receive the product stored in the container; wherein the coupling feature is a longitudinal protrusion with a longitudinal axis substantially parallel to a longitudinal axis of the main body, wherein the thermal member comprises a corresponding slot to receive the coupling feature; wherein the coupling feature is configured to couple the thermal member such that a longitudinal axis of the thermal member is substantially colinear with the longitudinal axis of the main body; wherein the thermal member is made of thermal material capable of transferring heat to or from a user's skin disposed on the applicator's face; and wherein the application face of the thermal member and the application face of the main body lie in different vertical planes and do not form a smooth continuous application face.
14. The applicator head as claimed in claim 13, wherein the longitudinal axis of the main body, the thermal member, the channel, and the dispensing axis of the dispensing aperture are aligned.
15. The applicator head as claimed in claim 13, wherein the main bodycomprises a connecting member configured to receive the product stored in the container.
