Description

air freshener container

[0001] The present invention relates to an air freshener container equipped with a plurality of air freshener cartridges containing a volatile liquid (aromatic deodorizer), and relates to an air freshener container suitable for use in a vehicle, indoors, etc., which allows the scent and deodorization to be switched with a simple operation.

[0002] Conventionally, a wide variety of shapes and structures of air freshener containers that can be attached to predetermined locations such as inside a room or an automobile and that emit multiple scents have been known. For example, air freshener containers for use in vehicles such as automobiles have multiple air freshener storage units that store liquid or solid air fresheners, each storing a different air freshener, and allow the air freshener that emits the air freshener to be switched (see, for example, Patent Documents 1 to 5).

[0003] Chinese Utility Model Publication 214822492 Chinese Patent Publication 115179726 Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2010-179786 Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2008-504930 Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2008-528221

[0004] However, while the fragrance containers described in Patent Documents 1 to 5 allow the scent to be switched by manually opening and closing the lid of the opening of the fragrance container, which emits multiple scents, it has been desired to be able to switch scents with an even simpler operation. In particular, in fragrance containers having fragrances with multiple shafts, it has been extremely difficult to switch between shafts that are not adjacent to each other with a simple operation when switching scents.

[0005] To provide an air freshener container suitable for use in a vehicle or indoors, which is provided with a plurality of air freshener cartridges containing a volatile liquid (air freshener), and which allows switching of scents and deodorization by simple operation, and further to provide an air freshener container in which air freshener cartridges can be securely attached and easily replaced.

[0006] After extensive research, the inventors discovered that the above-mentioned object of the present invention can be achieved by using a knock ring mechanism that switches between scents and deodorizers in a fragrance container equipped with multiple fragrance cartridges and by using a specific structure to lock the fragrance cartridges to the fragrance container, and thus completed the following invention.

[0007] (1) An air freshener container comprising a container body and a plurality of air freshener cartridges each containing an air freshener composed of a volatile liquid in a liquid state and having a porous volatile material with capillary force, wherein the air freshener cartridges are each provided with a knock ring member disposed in contact therewith, and the knock ring members are each provided with a knock ring mechanism that engages with and interlocks with the other, and the air freshener cartridges are replaceably housed within the container body and are screwed (spiral-type) to be engaged with the container body. (2) The air freshener container according to (1), wherein an engagement recess and projection are formed on the lower end of the knock ring member, and an engagement recess and projection are formed on the air freshener cartridge, so that they pass over each other. (3) The air freshener container according to (1) or (2), wherein the air freshener cartridge protrudes downward from the bottom surface of the container body when the air freshener deodorizing component is volatilizing.

[0008] According to the present invention, it is possible to provide an air freshener container suitable for use in a vehicle or indoors, which allows the scent or deodorization to be switched with a simple operation. It is also possible to provide an air freshener container in which the air freshener cartridge can be securely attached and easily replaced. Furthermore, it is possible to easily identify the air freshener cartridge that is currently volatilizing the fragrance.

When attaching the fragrance cartridge 10 to the fragrance container X, first, one of the knock ring members 20, 30, or 40 of the knock ring mechanism 50, for example, the operating portion 22 of the knock ring member 20, is slid downward, and the fragrance cartridge 10a, with the storage cap 17 removed, is inserted through an opening 101a formed in the bottom of the case bottom 100 of the fragrance container X. With the tip of the fragrance cartridge 10a positioned in the ring portion 21 of the knock ring member 20, the fragrance cartridge 10a is rotated so that the threaded portion 18 of the fragrance cartridge 10a is screwed (screw-type) into the threaded portion 21a of the ring portion 21 of the knock ring member 20.

[0043] In this case, the locking uneven portion 19 formed on the side wall of the fragrance cartridge 10a and the locking uneven portion 21b formed on the lower end of the ring portion 21 of the knock ring member 20 climb over each other, thereby locking the fragrance cartridge 10a to the knock ring member 20 and preventing the fragrance cartridge 10a from coming off the knock ring member 20. The fragrance cartridges 10b, 10c are attached to the knock ring members 30, 40 in the same manner as the fragrance cartridge 10a to the knock ring member 20.

[0044] In the fragrance container X according to this embodiment, the fragrance cartridges 10a, 10b, and 10c each contain a different volatile liquid (three types of fragrance deodorizers with different fragrance components, etc.), but they may also contain the same volatile liquid.

[0045] In the fragrance container X according to this embodiment, before the operating parts 22, 32, 42 of the knock ring members 20, 30, 40 are operated, the fragrance cartridges 10a, 10b, 10c are covered by the inner lids 63a, 63b, 63c formed in the upper cover 60, respectively, due to the upward biasing force of the pulling 77 disposed in the slider 70. Therefore, in the state shown in Figure 16, the fragrance deodorizing components are not volatilized from the porous volatile body 15 of the fragrance cartridges 10a, 10b, 10c.

[0046] On the other hand, when any one of the knock ring members 20, 30, 40 in the knock ring mechanism 50 of the fragrance container X is slid downward, the inner lid corresponding to the operated knock ring member is released, and the fragrance deodorizing components are volatilized from the porous volatile material 15 of the fragrance cartridge 10 engaged with the operated knock ring member.

[0047] Each part of the container body and other components in this embodiment is constructed from a multi-layer structure in which the outer and inner layers are made of polypropylene (PP) resin, and the middle layer sandwiched between the outer and inner layers is made of nylon or ethyl vinyl alcohol (EVOH) resin, formed by blow molding.

[0048] The material of the fragrance cartridge 10 according to this embodiment is not particularly limited as long as it does not affect the physical properties of the volatile liquid stored therein, and may be made of, for example, at least one of metal, thermoplastic resin such as polyacetal resin, polyethylene resin, acrylic resin, polyester resin, ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer resin (EVOH), polyamide resin, polyurethane resin, polyolefin resin, polyvinyl resin, polycarbonate resin, polyether resin, or polyphenylene resin, or thermosetting resin.

[0049] Furthermore, a container body or the like made of at least one of thermoplastic resin and thermosetting resin can be further formed with a composite material of at least two layers, in which a metal foil, metal vapor deposition, or carbon material (including diamond-like carbon material) that also has air and moisture barrier properties is bonded or vapor deposited on the inner and / or outer surfaces. For molding such composite materials, molding methods such as coextrusion, multilayer injection molding, and multilayer blow molding are used. It may also be formed from a material that contains a highly solvent-resistant material. Examples of highly solvent-resistant materials include PEN (polyethylene naphthalate) and a composite of PP and PEN.

[0050] The volatile liquid to be filled (stored) in the fragrance cartridge 10 is not particularly limited, but may be any of a variety of synthetic fragrances, natural fragrances, and the components that make up these compositions, as well as volatile liquid fragrance deodorizing components that have deodorizing properties, forest bathing effects, sedative effects, and awakening effects to wake people up from drowsiness, either alone or in combination of two or more types.

[0051] Examples of aromatic deodorizing components include hydrocarbons such as aliphatic hydrocarbons, terpene hydrocarbons, and aromatic hydrocarbons; alcohols such as aliphatic alcohols, terpene alcohols, and aromatic alcohols; ethers such as aliphatic ethers and aromatic ethers; oxides such as aliphatic oxides and oxides of terpenes; aldehydes such as aliphatic aldehydes, terpene aldehydes, aliphatic cyclic aldehydes, thioaldehydes, and aromatic aldehydes; ketones such as aliphatic ketones, terpene ketones, aliphatic cyclic ketones, non-benzene aromatic ketones, and aromatic ketones; acetals, ketals, phenols, phenol ethers, fatty acids, and terpene carboxylic acids. One or more of the following may be used in combination: acids such as aliphatic cyclic carboxylic acids and aromatic carboxylic acids; acid amides; lactones such as aliphatic lactones, macrocyclic lactones, terpene lactones, aliphatic cyclic lactones and aromatic lactones; esters such as aliphatic esters, furan carboxylic acid esters, aliphatic cyclic carboxylic acid esters, cyclohexyl carboxylic acid esters, terpene carboxylic acid esters and aromatic carboxylic acid esters; synthetic fragrances such as nitro musks, nitriles, amines, pyridines, quinolines, pyrrole, indole and other nitrogen-containing compounds; natural fragrances derived from animals and plants; and compound fragrances containing natural fragrances and / or synthetic fragrances.

[0054] Also, diethyl phthalate, dipropylene glycol, benzyl benzoate, isopropyl myristate, hercolin, isopentane, orange terpene, etc. can be used as a solvent or retainer for perfume.

[0055] The blending amount of these liquid deodorizing ingredients is usually selected appropriately from the range of 0.1 to 10% by mass, preferably 1 to 8% by mass, of the total amount (composition) of the deodorizing ingredient composed of a volatile liquid in a neat state. If the blending amount of this liquid deodorizing ingredient is less than 0.1% by mass, an adequate effect cannot be obtained, and if it exceeds 10% by mass, the amount of surfactant required becomes too large, making it difficult to maintain the sustainability of the fragrance, deodorization, etc. Furthermore, it is uneconomical in terms of cost.

[0056] The fragrance deodorizer used in this embodiment, which is composed of a volatile liquid in a neat state, uses water (purified water, distilled water, ion-exchanged water, pure water, ultrapure water, etc.) as a solvent, and may contain other surfactants or other components that have traditionally been used, as needed, within the scope that does not impair the effects of the present disclosure.

[0057] Specific examples of the anionic surfactants in the other surfactants include alkyl sulfates, polyoxyethylene alkyl ether sulfates, alkyl allyl ether sulfates, alkyl benzene sulfonates, alkyl naphthalene sulfonates, α-sulfofatty acid salts, alkyl sulfonates, alkyl sulfosuccinates, α-olefin sulfonates, fatty acid soaps, alkyl ether carboxylates, acyl alaninates, acyl taurates, amino acid-based anionic surfactants typified by N-alkyliminodicarboxylic acids or salts thereof, alkyl phosphates, alkyl ether phosphates, alkyl phenyl ether phosphates, and alkyl phosphate ester salts.

[0060] The deodorant may be imparted with pseudoplasticity in terms of ease of use, leakage resistance, etc. Pseudoplasticity can generally be imparted by using a thickener (gelling agent) or the like. Pseudoplasticity refers to the property of exhibiting non-fluidity in a static state but exhibiting fluidity when a shear force is applied.

[0061] Examples of thickeners include at least one selected from alkali-swellable association emulsions, alkali-swellable emulsions, polyvinylpyrrolidone, cellulose derivatives, xanthan gum, succinoglycan, diutan gum, guar gum, carrageenan, pectin, or inorganic thickeners such as cellulose derivative cross-linked acrylic acid polymers, oxidized cellulose, crystalline cellulose, rheozan gum, gellan gum, and montmorillonite clay minerals.

[0062] Both porous volatile body 15 and relay wick 16 have capillary force, and relay wick 16 is configured to reliably supply deodorizing aromatic liquid composed of a volatile liquid to detector tube 14, while porous volatile body 15 may be made of any material and have any shape that allows the volatile liquid to volatilize when supplied, for example, both of which may be made of a porous material with pores.Specific examples include sponge bodies, sintered bodies, fiber bundles, foam bodies, spongy bodies, felt bodies, porous bodies, and structures having internal flow channels that have capillary force, and examples of shapes include cylindrical, bullet-shaped, rectangular, pen-core-shaped, elliptical, and square pillar shapes.

[0063] Materials that can be used to form these shapes, porous bodies, etc. include, for example, natural fibers, animal hair fibers, polyacetal resins, polyethylene resins, acrylic resins, polyester resins, polyamide resins, polyurethane resins, polyolefin resins, polyvinyl resins, polycarbonate resins, polyether resins, and polyphenylene resins.

[0064] Examples of fiber bundle cores include parallel fiber bundles made of the above-mentioned fiber materials (for example, fibers such as one or a combination of two or more types of 1 to 20 denier synthetic fibers, natural fibers, polyphenylene resins, etc.), which have been processed, or these fiber bundles have been resin-processed.

[0065] Liquid-permeable foams can be prepared by known methods, such as by pouring a molten resin into a mold and foaming it, etc. Sintered bodies can be made from porous bodies (sintered cores) obtained by sintering plastic powders such as polyacetal resins, polyethylene resins, acrylic resins, polyester resins, polyamide resins, polyurethane resins, polyolefin resins, polyvinyl resins, polycarbonate resins, polyether resins, and polyphenylene resins.

[0066] The pore size of the porous volatile material 15, including those formed from these sintered cores, is preferably 10 μm to 1000 μm, more preferably 20 μm to 300 μm, and particularly preferably 20 μm to 100 μm, as measured by SEM image analysis. The porosity is preferably 20 to 90%, and even more preferably 30 to 80%. In this embodiment, the "porosity" is calculated as follows. First, a porous volatile material having a known mass and apparent volume is immersed in water, and after sufficient water infiltration, the mass is measured after removal from the water. From the measured mass, the volume of water infiltrated into the porous volatile material is calculated. The volume of water is considered to be the same as the pore volume of the porous volatile material, and the porosity is calculated from the following formula: Porosity (unit: %) = (volume of water) / (apparent volume of porous volatile material 15) × 100

[0067] The porous volatile material 15 can also be made of a porous carbon material. The pore size of the porous carbon material, as measured by SEM image analysis, is preferably 10 μm to 1000 μm, more preferably 20 μm to 100 μm, and the porosity, as measured by the same method, is preferably 20 to 90%. The shape of the porous carbon material can be, as described above, for example, a cylindrical shape, a bullet shape, a rectangular column shape, a pen core shape, an elliptical column shape, or a square column shape.

[0068] This carbon porous body may be any porous structure having fine interconnected pores, and examples thereof include a carbon composite molded body having a three-dimensional network structure or a point-sintered structure and composed of amorphous carbon and carbon powder, an isotropic high-density carbon molded body, a carbon fiber paper molded body, and an activated carbon molded body. Of these, a carbon composite molded body having the above-mentioned pore diameter and porosity and composed of amorphous carbon and carbon powder, which has fine interconnected pores, is preferred.

[0069] From the viewpoint of further improving the reaction efficiency, the carbon powder used in producing this carbon composite having a porous structure is preferably at least one type (singly or in combination of two or more types) selected from highly oriented pyrolytic graphite (HOPG), kish graphite, natural graphite, artificial graphite, carbon nanotubes, and fullerenes.

[0070] Furthermore, when the porous volatile body 15 is made of a carbon porous body, it may be made up of a liquid-passing section impregnated with a deodorizing fragrance composed of a volatile liquid in a neat state, and a heat-absorbing section that is not impregnated, and / or slits may be formed in the carbon porous body to further enhance evaporation from the porous volatile body 15.

[0071] Although the porous volatile material 15 according to this embodiment is cylindrical, its cross section may be rectangular to further improve fragrance volatilization. A rectangular shape with a different aspect ratio for each side is particularly preferable. The rectangular shape allows for a larger surface area compared to a circular cross-sectional shape of the same volume, thereby improving fragrance performance. The aspect ratio of the rectangular cross section is preferably 1:1 to 1:13, and more preferably 1:1.1 to 1:1.4, which ensures the rigidity of the porous volatile material 15.

[0072] Next, the operating state of the knock ring mechanism when the fragrance container X according to this embodiment is in use will be described. Figure 17 shows a state in which the knock ring member (left) 20 of the fragrance container according to this embodiment has been slid downward, with (a) a front view and (b) a cross-sectional view taken along line II of Figure (a). Figure 18 shows a state in which the knock ring mechanism 50 when the knock ring member (left) 20 has been slid downward, with (a) a perspective view seen from above the front side, (b) a plan view, (c) a perspective view seen from above the rear side, (d) a front view, (e) a rear view, and (f) a cross-sectional view taken along line L-L of Figure (d).

[0073] In this state, the locking protrusion 27 of the knock ring member 20 is locked with the locking protrusion 75a of the slider 70, and the knock ring member 20 remains slid downward, so the inner lid 63a is removed from the fragrance cartridge 10a, and fragrance is volatilized from the porous volatile material 15 of the fragrance cartridge 10a. In this case, the lower end of the volatilizing fragrance cartridge 10a protrudes downward from the bottom surface of the fragrance container X.

[0074] In this state, when the knock ring member (center) 30 is slid downward, the engaging cam 33 of the knock ring member (center) 30 kicks the engaging cam 26 of the knock ring member 20, releasing the knock ring member 20 from its downward sliding state. That is, the locking protrusion 27 of the knock ring member 20 disengages from the locking protrusion 75a of the slider 70, the knock ring member 20 is pushed upward by the biasing force of the spring 77, and the porous volatile material 15 of the fragrance cartridge 10a enters the inner lid 63a, thereby closing the fragrance cartridge 10a and preventing fragrance from volatilizing from the fragrance cartridge 10a.

[0075] Fig. 19 is a diagram showing a state in which the knock ring member (center) 30 of the fragrance container according to this embodiment has been slid downward, (a) a front view, (b) a cross-sectional view taken along line J-J of Fig. 20. Fig. 20 is a diagram showing a state in which the knock ring member (center) of the fragrance container has been slid downward, (a) a perspective view seen from above the front side, (b) a plan view, (c) a front view, (d) a perspective view seen from above the rear side, (e) a rear view, and (f) a cross-sectional view taken along line M-M of Fig. 20.

[0076] In this state, the upper end of the operating part 32 of the knock ring member 30 is locked in the upper end of the slit 61b of the upper cover 60, and the knock ring member 30 is kept slid downward, so that the inner lid 63b is removed from the fragrance cartridge 10b, and fragrance is volatilized from the porous volatile material 15 of the fragrance cartridge 10b. In this case, the lower end of the volatilizing fragrance cartridge 10b protrudes downward from the bottom surface of the fragrance container X.

[0077] In this state, when the knock ring member (right) 40 is slid downward, the engagement cam 45 of the knock ring member 40 kicks the engagement cam 36 of the knock ring member 30, releasing the downward sliding state of the knock ring member 30. That is, the upper end of the operating portion 32 of the knock ring member 30 disengages from the upper end of the slit 61b of the upper cover 60, the knock ring member 30 is pushed upward by the biasing force of the spring 77, and the porous volatile material 15 of the fragrance cartridge 10b enters the inner lid 63b, thereby closing the fragrance cartridge 10b and preventing fragrance from volatilizing from the fragrance cartridge 10b.

[0078] Figure 21 is a diagram showing a state in which the knock ring member (right) 40 of the fragrance container according to the present embodiment has been slid downward, with (a) a front view and (b) a K-K cross-sectional view of Figure (a). Figure 22 is a diagram showing a state in which the knock ring mechanism 50 of the fragrance container with the knock ring member (right) 40 of the fragrance container being slid downward, with (a) a perspective view seen from above the front side, (b) a plan view, (c) a front view, (d) a perspective view seen from above the rear side, (e) a rear view, (f) an N-N cross-sectional view of Figure (c), and (g) an O-O cross-sectional view of Figure (c).

[0079] In this state, the locking protrusion 47 of the knock ring member 40 is locked with the locking protrusion 75c of the slider 70, and the knock ring member 40 remains slid downward, so that the inner lid 63c is removed from the fragrance cartridge 10c, and fragrance is volatilized from the porous volatile material 15 of the fragrance cartridge 10c. In this case, the lower end of the volatilizing fragrance cartridge 10c protrudes downward from the bottom surface of the fragrance container X.

[0080] In this state, when the knock ring member (center) 30 is slid downward, the engagement cam 34 of the knock ring member (center) 30 kicks the engagement cam 46 of the knock ring member 40, releasing the state in which the knock ring member 40 has been slid downward. That is, the locking protrusion 47 of the knock ring member 40 disengages from the locking protrusion 75c of the slider 70, the knock ring member 40 is pushed upward by the biasing force of the spring 77, and the porous volatile material 15 of the fragrance cartridge 10c enters the inner lid 63c, thereby closing the fragrance cartridge 10c and preventing fragrance from volatilizing from the fragrance cartridge 10c.

[0081] 21 and 22 , when the knock ring member (right) 40 is slid downward, if the knock ring member 20 is slid downward, the engagement cam 23 of the knock ring member 20 kicks the engagement cam 44 of the knock ring member 40, and the knock ring member 40 is released from its downward sliding state.

[0082] 17 and 18 , when the knock ring member (left) 20 is slid downward, sliding the knock ring member 40 downward causes the engagement cam 43 of the knock ring member 40 to kick the engagement cam 24 of the knock ring member 20, releasing the knock ring member 20 from its downward sliding state.

[0083] 19 and 20 , when the knock ring member 20 is slid downward, the engagement cam 25 of the knock ring member 20 kicks the engagement cam 36 of the knock ring member 30, releasing the knock ring member 30 from its downward sliding state. That is, the upper end of the operating portion 32 of the knock ring member 30 disengages from the upper end of the slit 61b of the upper cover 60, the spring 77 pushes the knock ring member 30 upward, and the porous volatile material 15 of the fragrance cartridge 10b enters the inner lid 63b, thereby sealing the fragrance cartridge 10b and preventing fragrance from volatilizing from the fragrance cartridge 10b.

[0084] Figure 23 shows the state in which the container body of the fragrance container X according to this embodiment is provided with a clip for attaching it to the air vent of an air conditioner of a vehicle or the like, with (a) the clip attached and (b) the clip removed. As shown in Figure 23, by attaching clip 200 to attachment hole 110 formed on the back of the container body of fragrance container X, fragrance container X can be easily attached to the air vent of an air conditioner of a vehicle or the like. In this case, all of operating units 22, 32, 42 face the front side (toward the user), allowing scent switching with a simple operation.

[0085] According to the fragrance container X of this embodiment, by arranging multiple engagement cams on the knock ring members 20, 30, 40, it is possible to easily switch scents, etc. with a simple sliding operation even when the fragrance cartridges 10 are not adjacent to each other. In this case, the fragrance cartridge that is volatilizing the fragrance protrudes downward from the underside of the fragrance container X, making it easy to identify the fragrance cartridge that is volatilizing the fragrance.

[0086] In the fragrance container according to this embodiment, the fragrance cartridges 10a, 10b, 10c are engaged with the knock ring members 20, 30, 40 by screw threads, so that the fragrance cartridges 10a, 10b, 10c can be securely engaged with the knock ring members 20, 30, 40, and the fragrance cartridges can be easily replaced when the fragrance in the fragrance cartridge has been consumed, for example.

[0087] Furthermore, when the fragrance cartridges 10a, 10b, 10c are screwed (spiral type) onto the threaded portions 21a, 31a, 41a of the ring portions 21, 31, 41 of the knock ring members 20, 30, 40, the locking uneven portions 19 formed on the side walls of the fragrance cartridges 10a, 10b, 10c and the locking uneven portions 21b, 31b, 41b formed on the lower ends of the ring portions 21, 31, 41 of the knock ring members 20, 30, 40 climb over each other, thereby ensuring a secure lock, and preventing the fragrance cartridges 10a, 10b, 10c from coming off the knock ring members 20, 30, 40.

[0088] To provide an air freshener container suitable for use in a vehicle or indoors, which allows switching of scents and deodorization by simple operations, and also allows easy attachment of an air freshener cartridge to the air freshener container and easy replacement of the air freshener cartridge.
