[0001] Locking device

[0002] Description

[0003] The invention relates to a locking device according to the preamble of claim 1.

[0004] Such a locking device comprises a first locking part, which has a first body, an engagement device arranged on the first body, and a first magnetic device. The locking device also comprises a second locking part, which has a second body, a locking element, and a second magnetic device. The first locking part and the second locking part can be joined together to close the locking device. In a closed position, the first locking part and the second locking part are held together by the engagement of the locking element with the engagement device. The first magnetic device and the second magnetic device are configured to attract each other magnetically when the first locking part and the second locking part are joined together to close the locking device.

[0005] Such a locking device is generally used to connect two parts, for example to connect two belts to each other or to detachably connect a first component to a second component, for example a cover element to a housing of a container device.

[0006] With such a locking device, there is a need for ease of use, both for opening and closing it. For example, when used on a container, such as a battery housing for an electric bicycle, it is desirable that the locking device be small and thus easily integrated into a larger assembly.

[0007] In a locking device known from EP 2 825 075 B1, the locking components have magnetic elements. A first engagement projection is formed on the base of a first locking component. Conversely, a second engagement projection is formed on the body of a second locking component. The engagement projections can be brought into engagement with each other to close the locking device. A force application element is pivotably arranged on the second locking component.

[0008] From EP 4 233 631 B1 a locking device with locking parts that can be attached to one another is known, in which a locking element, for example in the form of a longitudinally extended rod, is adjustably arranged on a body of a locking part.

[0009] The object of the present invention is to provide a locking device that is easy to handle and allows for a small design for integration into a higher-level assembly.

[0010] This problem is solved by an object having the features of claim 1.

[0011] Accordingly, the second locking part has a connecting element movably arranged on the second body, on which the locking element is arranged. The connecting element has at least one bearing section that is mounted on the second body such that, when the first and second locking parts are joined to each other to close the locking device, the connecting element is movable on the second body in order to engage the locking element with the engagement device, and the connecting element is pivotable relative to the second body in order to disengage the locking element from the engagement device in order to open the locking device.

[0012] The locking element can be formed, in particular, by a rigid element. The locking element is preferably fixed in position on the connecting element. The position of the locking element on the connecting element is therefore unchangeable.

[0013] The locking device is designed as a magnetic locking device, with each of the first and second locking parts having a magnetic element. These magnetic elements are configured to attract each other magnetically when the first and second locking parts are brought together to close the device. The locking parts are thus attracted to each other, thereby magnetically assisting their alignment.

[0014] The locking mechanism between the first and second locking parts is achieved via the connecting element of the second locking part. This connecting element carries the locking element and is movably mounted on the second body of the second locking part. The connecting element has at least one bearing section that is mounted on the second body and allows the connecting element to move relative to it. This movement is such that when the first and second locking parts are joined, the connecting element can move along the second body, allowing the locking element to engage with the engagement mechanism. In particular, the locking element arranged on the connecting element can be brought into operative contact with the engagement device when the locking parts are joined to each other, whereby the connecting element can exert a relative movement to the second body of the second locking part and thus be able to move away in such a way that the locking element can engage with the engagement device of the first locking part.

[0015] The mounting via at least one bearing section also allows the connecting element to pivot relative to the second body of the second locking part. To open the locking device, the connecting element can be pivoted relative to the second body, thereby disengaging the locking element and the engagement mechanism, thus enabling the locking parts to be separated. The connecting element can be formed as a rigid element. Furthermore, the locking element can be fixedly attached to the connecting element as a rigid element, for example, by being fixedly held to the connecting element or being formed integrally with it.Because the connecting element can perform relative movement to the second body, the engagement of the locking element with the engagement device for closing the closure can be easily achieved, even with a potentially small design of the closure components. The closure device can therefore have a small overall design and thus be easily integrated into a larger assembly, for example, a container system.

[0016] In one embodiment, the locking element is formed integrally with the connecting element. For this purpose, the locking element can be shaped as an engagement projection on the connecting element and is designed such that, when the locking parts are joined, the locking element engages with the engagement mechanism of the first locking part, thus establishing a locking connection between the locking parts.

[0017] In one embodiment, the locking element is formed by a longitudinally extended, preferably cylindrical, rod element arranged on the connecting element. The rod element can be connected to the connecting element as a separate element and is preferably designed as a rigid element and fixedly arranged on the connecting element. This means that the position of the rod element on the connecting element is unchanging, although rotation of the rod-shaped, cylindrical locking element about its axis may optionally be possible.

[0018] The locking element, particularly when designed as a longitudinal rod element, can be made of a metal material, such as steel. This allows the locking element to exhibit high strength. In contrast, the connecting element can be made of a plastic molded part, such as an injection-molded plastic part.

[0019] The locking element, particularly when designed as a longitudinally extended rod element, can be made of a ferromagnetic material and thus be passively magnetic. The locking element can therefore interact, for example, with the first magnetic device of the first locking part and / or the second magnetic device of the second locking part, so that the locking element is magnetically biased, for example, in the direction of engagement with the engagement device.

[0020] The locking element can, for example, implement the second magnetic device of the second locking part. In another embodiment, however, it is also conceivable that the second locking part has a separate, additional second magnetic device distinct from the passively magnetic locking element.

[0021] In one embodiment, the second body has at least one guide opening in which at least one bearing section is mounted.

[0022] The guide opening is designed such that the connecting element can pivot relative to the second body. Furthermore, the guide opening allows linear movement or movement along a curved path of the bearing section within the guide opening. The guide opening does not necessarily have to be a through-hole in a component, but rather provides guidance by guiding the bearing section along the guide opening.

[0023] For example, at least one guide opening can be formed by an elongated hole within which at least one bearing section is movable. The guide opening defines a path of movement for the bearing section, along which the bearing section can be moved relative to the second body of the second closure part. The connecting element is therefore not only pivotable relative to the second body, but can, for example, be approximately moved along the path of movement defined by the guide opening relative to the second body while maintaining its rotational position.

[0024] The guide opening, which may be shaped as an elongated hole, can be formed as a through-hole in a wall of the second body. In this configuration, the guide opening thus penetrates the wall. In another configuration, the guide opening can be formed, for example, as a recess in a wall of the second body. In this configuration, the guide opening does not penetrate the wall. In one configuration, at least one bearing section is formed by the locking element. For example, if the locking element is formed by a longitudinally extended rod element, one or more bearing sections can be formed by the rod-shaped locking element. The locking element can, for example, engage with one end or with an inner section (spaced from one end) in an associated guide opening on the second body, thereby providing a bearing for the connecting element relative to the second body.

[0025] In another embodiment, at least one bearing section is formed integrally with the connecting element, for example by an axle stub projecting from the second connecting element, which engages in an associated guide opening of the second body of the second locking part.

[0026] In one embodiment, the second body has an attachment section to which the first body can be attached along a closing direction. The first and second locking parts can be joined together along the closing direction to close the locking device. The first body of the first locking part can be attached to the attachment section of the second body of the second locking part along the closing direction, thereby assuming a defined position relative to the second body in the closed position.

[0027] In particular, the attachment section can create a positive fit between the first body of the first locking element and the second body of the second locking element in the closed position. In one embodiment, the first body is arranged in a positive fit to the attachment section in the closed position with respect to a plane perpendicular to the closing direction. The positive fit acts in the plane perpendicular to the closing direction. This means that by receiving the first body of the first locking element on the attachment section of the second body of the second locking element, such a positive fit is created between the first and second bodies that the first and second bodies in the closed position (apart from any play that may be present and can never be completely avoided) are not movable relative to each other in any direction of movement in the plane perpendicular to the closing direction.

[0028] A locking mechanism between the first and second locking parts in the closed position, along the closing direction, is established by the engagement of the locking element with the engagement device. Due to this locking mechanism, the first and second locking parts cannot be easily separated from each other in the opposite direction of closing, at least not without releasing the locking mechanism.

[0029] In one embodiment, the first body or the attachment section has (at least) one support section for engaging in an associated support opening to positively support the first body relative to the attachment section in the closed position with respect to the plane perpendicular to the closing direction. For example, the first body of the first locking part or the attachment section on the second body of the second locking part can have one or more support sections, for example, in the form of a projection. The other part, i.e., the attachment section on the second body or the first body, can, in contrast, have one or more support openings. In the closed position, the one or more support sections engage in the one or more support openings and thereby positively support the first body relative to the second body with respect to the plane perpendicular to the closing direction.

[0030] In one embodiment, the attachment section has two opposing walls between which the connecting element is mounted. The connecting element is held between the walls. The connecting element is movable relative to the walls to allow the locking mechanism to be engaged when the locking parts are joined and also to open the locking device by pivoting the connecting element.

[0031] In one embodiment, the first body of the first locking part is received in the closed position between the opposing walls.

[0032] In one embodiment, the joining section has an O-shaped (closed) or U-shaped (open) frame into which the first body is inserted to close the locking device, thus creating a positive fit with respect to the plane perpendicular to the closing direction between the first body and the second body in the closed position. Additionally, support can be provided by a support section engaging in an associated support opening, whereby a support section can be formed on the frame or spatially separate from the frame. In one embodiment, at least one of the opposing walls has a guide opening in which the at least one bearing section of the connecting element is mounted. For example, a guide opening can be formed on each of the two opposing walls, in each of which a bearing section of the connecting element is mounted. The connecting element, which is inserted between the walls, can thus be mounted on both sides via the guide openings on the walls on the second body of the second closure part.

[0033] Each guide opening can, for example, be formed by an elongated hole in which the respective bearing section is movable. The elongated hole extends obliquely or perpendicularly to the closing direction, or may be curved in an arc, or has several sections at different angles to each other, thus enabling the movement of the associated bearing section along a path of motion that is oblique, perpendicular, or curved to the closing direction.

[0034] In one embodiment, the engagement device has at least one engagement projection extending transversely to the closing direction. This engagement projection allows the locking element to engage with the first locking part relative to the second locking part in the closed position. The locking action in the closed position is particularly effective along the closing direction, preventing the locking parts from being easily separated against the closing direction when the locking element is engaged with the at least one engagement projection of the engagement device.

[0035] In one embodiment, the at least one engagement projection has a ramp onto which the locking element runs when the first and second locking parts are engaged. The ramp extends obliquely to the closing direction. The ramp provides a guide for the locking element and thus the connecting element, causing the connecting element to be pushed aside transversely to the closing direction when the locking device is closed, so that the locking element can pass the at least one engagement projection and thus engage with it.

[0036] In particular, the ramp can be designed such that, when the locking element runs onto the ramp, the connecting element is moved along a deflection direction approximately transverse to the closing direction on the second body. When the locking device closes, the first body of the first locking part, for example, engages the attachment section of the second body of the second locking part and thus forms a positive-locking connection with the second body, as a result of which the first and second bodies are positively locked relative to each other in the plane perpendicular to the closing direction. The connecting element, however, remains movable on the second body of the second locking part.As the locking element runs onto the ramp of the at least one engagement projection, the connecting element on the second body of the second locking part is moved and can thus move out of the way, so that the locking element can engage with the at least one engagement projection.

[0037] In one embodiment, at least one engagement projection forms a locking surface that is inclined or perpendicular to the closing direction. The locking element is in contact with this locking surface, at least when the locking device is under load and in the closed position. The locking surface creates an undercut with respect to the closing direction, which the locking element engages with when the locking device is closed and with which the locking element is locked in the closed position.

[0038] In one embodiment, the second body forms at least one support surface against which the at least one bearing section is supported when a load is applied between the first locking part and the second locking part in the opposite direction of closing, wherein the locking surface and the support surface are parallel or at an angle to each other in the closed position. The support surface can, for example, be formed by an edge that delimits the guide opening of the second body.If the first locking part and the second locking part are loaded relative to each other in the closed position of the locking device in the opposite direction to the closing direction, the locking element is supported on the one hand on the locking surface of at least one engagement projection of the engagement device of the first locking part and on the other hand on the support surface of the second body of the second locking part, so that a locking is thereby created between the first locking part and the second locking part.

[0039] Depending on the orientation of the locking surface relative to the support surface, the engagement between the locking element and the at least one engagement projection can be designed to be self-reinforcing or self-releasing. In a self-reinforcing engagement, the engagement becomes stronger as the load forces between the locking parts increase. The locking device therefore cannot open automatically due to a force acting along the closing direction between the locking parts. This, however, requires that there be some play in the engagement between the locking element and the engagement mechanism to allow the locking device to open and close. In contrast, in a self-releasing engagement, the locking parts can be opened by a relative force acting along the closing direction between the locking parts that exceeds a limiting force.Such a self-releasing engagement can be designed to reduce or even completely eliminate play, ensuring that the locking components are held together without play in the closed position. In a self-reinforcing engagement, the locking surface and the support surface are aligned such that the space (projected onto a plane defined by the closing and release directions) between the locking surface and the support surface narrows in the release direction. In contrast, in a self-releasing engagement, the space between the locking surface and the support surface widens in the release direction.

[0040] In one embodiment, the first and second magnetic devices are positioned opposite each other in the closed position, but are offset relative to each other along the direction of deflection in order to bias the locking element in the direction of engagement with the engagement device. If the second magnetic device is arranged on the connecting element, then, due to the offset along the direction of deflection, a force component can act on the connecting element and thus on the locking element in the direction of engagement with the engagement device due to magnetic attraction in the closed position. The engagement when the locking parts are brought together to close the locking device can therefore be brought about automatically or at least assisted by magnetic force.

[0041] For example, in the case of an obliquely oriented elongated hole, the movement of the locking element into an engagement position is also supported by the force-redirecting incline of the elongated hole.

[0042] In one embodiment, the connecting element has a tilting section and the first body has a counter-section, wherein the tilting section is designed to roll along the counter-section when the connecting element is pivoted to open the locking device. To allow movement, the connecting element is mounted to float relative to the second body. A pivoting movement of the connecting element is guided by the tilting section, which can roll along the counter-section when the connecting element is pivoted, thereby moving the locking element relative to the engagement device.

[0043] In one embodiment, a rolling point, where the tilting section rolls along the opposing section when the connecting element is pivoted to open the locking device, is spaced in a pivot plane of the connecting element relative to the locking element. The connecting element can be pivoted along this pivot plane relative to the second body. At the rolling point, the tilting section of the connecting element rolls along the first body when the connecting element is pivoted in the closed position. The rolling point is spaced apart from the locking element, which ensures that, during a pivoting movement of the connecting element, the locking element is moved, in particular, along a path of movement defined by the mounting of the connecting element over the bearing section, and is thus disengaged from the engagement mechanism of the first locking part.

[0044] In the closed position, the rolling point at least approximately defines a pivot axis for the connecting element relative to the first body of the first locking part.

[0045] Through the interaction of the tilting section with the opposing section, the connecting element can also create a relative force between the first locking part and the second locking part when pivoting, thereby mechanically separating the first locking part and the second locking part from each other in order to support the opening of the locking device from the closed position.

[0046] In one embodiment, the engagement device has (at least) two engagement projections, with the opposing section formed centrally between the two engagement projections. A gap exists between the two engagement projections, within which the opposing section is formed. The tilting section rolls along this opposing section during a pivoting movement of the connecting element. The engagement device may also have more than two engagement projections.

[0047] The first magnetic device and the second magnetic device interact magnetically in an attractive way, so that when the locking parts are placed against each other to close the locking device, the locking parts are magnetically attracted to each other and preferably automatically connected to each other.

[0048] In one embodiment, the first and second magnetic devices are each formed by at least one permanent magnet. The permanent magnets of the first and second magnetic devices point with opposite poles towards each other, thus creating a magnetic attraction between the devices.

[0049] In another embodiment, one of the first and second magnetic devices is formed by at least one permanent magnet, while the other of the first and second magnetic devices is formed by at least one passive magnetic armature. The armature interacts magnetically with the permanent magnet but is not itself (actively) magnetic. The armature can, for example, be made of a ferromagnetic material.

[0050] In one embodiment, the second magnetic device is arranged on the second body of the second closure part.

[0051] In another embodiment, the second magnetic device is arranged on the connecting element. Because the second magnetic device is located on the connecting element, a magnetic attraction occurs between the first locking part and the connecting element of the second locking part when the locking parts are joined. This magnetic attraction moves the connecting element into a locking position on the second locking part when the locking device is closed, allowing the locking element of the connecting element to engage with the engagement mechanism of the first locking part. Pivoting the connecting element to open the locking device also moves the magnetic devices relative to each other, thus weakening the magnetic attraction.

[0052] If the second magnetic device is arranged on the second body of the locking part, but not on the connecting element, an elastic tensioning element, for example a spring element, can act between the second body and the connecting element to pre-tension the connecting element spring-mechanically in the direction of a locking position.

[0053] In one embodiment, the connecting element has a handle section for gripping by a user. Using the handle section, a user can actuate the connecting element, in particular to pivot the connecting element relative to the second body and thus open the locking device. Opening the locking device can preferably be accomplished in a single movement, whereby the user grips the handle section, pivots the connecting element, and, in a subsequent movement, separates the locking parts.

[0054] In one embodiment, the second body has a support section on which the connecting element rests in the closed position. In particular, the first magnetic device and the second magnetic device can be configured to bias the connecting element in the direction of contact with the support section in the closed position. The support section can, in particular, define a locking position of the connecting element on the second body, in which the connecting element is in the closed position of the locking device and in which the locking element of the connecting element is locked to the engagement device of the first locking part.

[0055] In one embodiment, the first and second magnetic devices are configured to bias the connecting element in the direction of engagement of the locking element with the engagement device when the first and second locking parts are joined to close the locking device. Due to a magnetic interaction, particularly between the first locking part and the connecting element of the second locking part, the locking element is automatically brought into engagement with the engagement device when the locking device is closed. In particular, the magnetic interaction between the magnetic devices can be such that the locking element is automatically drawn into engagement with the at least one engagement projection of the engagement device when the locking element has passed the at least one engagement projection during the joining of the locking parts.

[0056] In the case of an inclined slot, the movement of the locking element into an engagement position is also supported by the force-redirecting incline of the slot.

[0057] For example, the magnetic devices, viewed along the direction of deflection, can be arranged offset on the first locking part and the connecting element of the second locking part. If, for example, the first magnetic device and the second magnetic device are each formed by a permanent magnet, the center of the first magnetic device and the center of the second magnetic device, viewed along the direction of deflection perpendicular to the closing direction, can be spaced apart in the closed position. This space is chosen such that, through the magnetic interaction between the magnetic devices, the locking element is drawn into engagement with at least one engagement projection of the engagement device when the locking parts are brought together.

[0058] A locking device of the type described can be used in a variety of ways. In particular, such a locking device can be used as a closure for a container, for example on a vehicle, such as a bicycle. In another embodiment, the locking device can be used as a closure, for example on a bag, a piece of luggage, a piece of furniture, or other storage equipment.

[0059] In one embodiment, a container, in particular a battery housing for an electric bicycle (e-bike), comprises a housing and a cover element. The cover element can be removed from the housing to provide access to the housing, for example, to replace batteries. A locking device of the type described above is designed to releasably lock the cover element to the housing.

[0060] In another embodiment, a belt fastener can have a fastening device of the type described above, which is designed to connect two belts and for this purpose has, for example, belt receptacles for connecting a respective fastening part to an associated belt.

[0224] Fig. 53 shows a view of a further embodiment of an engagement projection and a locking element, with a guide opening associated with the locking element.

[0225] In an embodiment shown in Figs. 1A, 1B to 12A-12E, a locking device 1 has a first locking part 2 and a second locking part 3, which can be placed against each other to close the locking device 1 and are held against each other in a closed position.

[0226] The first locking part 2 has a body 20 on which an engagement device 21 is formed, the engagement device having two engagement projections 210. The locking parts 2, 3 can be joined together to close the locking device 1 along a closing direction X. The engagement projections 210 project transversely to the closing direction X and serve to lock with a locking element 33 of the second locking part 3.

[0227] As can be seen from the exploded views according to Fig. 1A, 1B and 2A, 2B, a receiving opening 201 is formed on the body 20, in which a magnetic device 22 is received.

[0228] Support openings 200 are also formed on the body 20.

[0229] The second locking part 3 has a body 30 that forms an insertion section 301, which has a fully enclosed frame. An opening 300 is formed within the insertion section 301. The first locking part 2 with body 20 can be inserted into the frame of the insertion section 301 along the closing direction X to close the locking device 1.

[0230] A connecting element 31 is mounted on the body 30 of the second locking part 3. The connecting element 31 has a handle section 310, which can be operated by a user to move the connecting element 31 relative to the body 30. A receiving opening 313 is also formed on the connecting element 31, in which a magnetic device 32 of the second locking part 3 is received.

[0231] In the illustrated embodiment, the connecting element 31 is connected to the locking element 33. The locking element 33 is formed by a rigid rod element, which is received by retaining sections 311 in the form of legs formed on the connecting element 31 and extends through openings 312 in the retaining sections 311 such that the locking element 33 projects outwards with its ends relative to the connecting element 31. The ends of the locking element 33 projecting from the connecting element 31 form bearing sections 330, which are received in bearing openings 302 on opposing walls 308 of the frame of the attachment section 301 along a transverse direction Q. The connecting element 31 is pivotably mounted relative to the body 30 of the locking part 3 via the bearing openings 302, which are formed by elongated holes. In addition, the position sections 330 can move linearly along the bearing openings 302 formed by the elongated holes, so that the connecting element 31 can also be moved on the body 30 of the locking part 3 without significantly changing its pivot position.

[0232] Within the frame of the attachment section 301, support sections 303 are formed in the form of projections. When the closure parts 2, 3 are attached to one another along the closing direction X and the body 20 of the closure part 2 is inserted into the frame of the attachment section 301, the support sections 303 of the closure part 3 engage with the support openings 200 on the body 20 of the closure part 2, thus providing support for the closure parts 2, 3 relative to each other.

[0233] In a closed position as shown in Figs. 3A-3D and 4A-4E, the locking element 2 with body 20 is arranged on the attachment section 30. The body 20 lies between the walls 308 of the attachment section 301. In addition, the support sections 303 engage on the inside of the walls 308 of the attachment section 301 in the associated support openings 200 on the body 20 of the locking element 2. The bodies 20, 30 are thus positively locked to each other in a plane perpendicular to the closing direction X.

[0234] Along the closing direction X, the locking parts 2, 3 are locked together in the closed position by the locking element 33 and the engagement device 21. Thus, in the closed position, the locking element 33 engages with the engagement projections 210, as can be seen in the sectional view according to Fig. 4B, so that the locking parts 2, 3 are locked together along the closing direction X.

[0235] In the closed position, the connecting element 31 with the locking element 33 arranged thereon assumes a locking position on the body 30 of the locking part 3, as shown in Figs. 3A-3D. In this locking position, the handle section 310 is approximately flush with an outwardly facing surface 304 of the body 30 of the locking part 3. The handle section 310 rests on a support section 306 of the body 30 and thus assumes a defined position relative to the body 30.

[0236] In the closed position, the magnetic devices 22, 32 of the locking parts 2, 3 attract each other magnetically. The locking parts 2, 3 are thereby magnetically attracted to each other, and the connecting element 31 is held in the locking position due to the magnetic interaction between the magnetic device 22 on the body 20 of the locking part 2 and the magnetic device 32 on the connecting element 31, as can be seen, for example, in the sectional view according to Fig. 3B.

[0237] In the illustrated embodiment, the guide openings 302 on the attachment section 301 extend obliquely to the closing direction X, as can be seen, for example, in Figs. 3D and 4E. The positioning sections 330 at the ends of the locking element 33 are guided in the guide openings 302.

[0238] If the locking device 1 is to be opened, a user can grasp the handle section 310 of the connecting element 31 and pivot the connecting element 31 along a tilting direction K, as can be seen from Fig. 5A-5D and 6A-6E.

[0239] As can be seen from the exploded views in Figs. 1A, 1B and 2A, 2B, a tilting section 314 is formed on the connecting element 31. When the connecting element 31 is pivoted relative to a counter-section 203 on the body 20 of the first locking part 2, this tilting section 314 is pivoted, as shown in Fig. 6C. The counter-section 203 is formed in a free space centrally between the engagement projections 210. In the closed position, the tilting section 314 rests against the counter-section 203 (see Fig. 4C). When the connecting element 31 is pivoted, the tilting section 314 is pivoted relative to the counter-section 203 along the tilting direction K, so that the tilting section 314 rolls off the counter-section 203 at a rolling point A, as shown in Fig. 6C.

[0240] The pivoting movement of the connecting element 31, supported by the tilting section 314, moves the locking element 33 within the guide openings 302, as can be seen in the sectional views according to Figs. 6B-6E. This disengages the locking element 33 from the engagement projections 210 of the engagement device 21 (see Fig. 6B). The connection between the locking parts 2 and 3 is thus released, allowing the locking parts 2 and 3 to be separated from each other in the opposite direction to the closing direction X.

[0241] Figures 7A-7D to 8A-8E show the locking device 1 in the open position. By pulling on the connecting element 31, the locking parts 2, 3 can be separated from each other to open the locking device 1 along an opening direction O opposite to the closing direction X, whereby unlocking by pivoting the connecting element 31 and the subsequent separation of the locking parts 2, 3 can be carried out in one movement by pulling on the connecting element 31.

[0242] In the open position, the locking parts 2, 3 are separate from each other and are no longer connected.

[0243] To close the locking device 1, the locking parts 2 and 3 are brought together along the closing direction X. This inserts the body 20 into the insertion section 301 on the body 30 of the locking part 3 along the closing direction X, as can be seen in Figures 9A-9D and 10A-10E.

[0244] During engagement, the locking element 33 of the connecting element 31 runs onto ramps 211 on the engagement projections 210 of the engagement device 21 of the locking part 2, as can be seen in the sectional views according to Figs. 10B-10E. This engagement causes the entire connecting element 31 to be displaced in a deflection direction Y on the body 30 of the locking part 3, perpendicular to the closing direction X, as can be seen in Figs. 9A-9D, 10A-10E in conjunction with Figs. 11A-11D, 12A-12E. The bodies 20, 30 of the locking parts 2, 3 are thereby held in position relative to each other in a plane perpendicular to the closing direction X by the engagement of body 20 in the engagement section 301 on body 30.However, the connecting element 31 is displaced on the body 30 in the deflection direction Y perpendicular to the closing direction X, so that the locking element 33 can pass the engagement projections 210 and engage with the engagement projections 210, as can be seen from the closed position shown in Fig. 3A-3D and 4A-4E.

[0245] The connecting element 31 is thus floatingly mounted on the body 30 of the locking part 3 such that, when the locking parts 2 and 3 are joined together, the connecting element 31 can move transversely to the closing direction X to close the locking device 1. The connecting element 31 is designed as a rigid element. Likewise, the locking element 33 is designed as a rigid element, for example, as a steel rod. When the locking parts 2 and 3 are joined together, the connecting element 31 as a whole is displaced relative to the body 30 of the locking part 3, so that the locking element 33 can engage with the engagement projections 210 on the body 20 of the locking part 2.

[0246] The floating bearing is also such that the connecting element 31 can be pivoted on the locking part 3 to open the locking device 1, in order to thereby release the connection between the locking parts 2, 3.

[0247] The magnetic interaction via the magnetic devices 22, 32 automatically establishes the locking of the locking element 33 with the engagement projections 210 when the locking device 1 is closed, by drawing the connecting element 31 into the locking position through the magnetic interaction and thus bringing the locking element 33 into engagement with the engagement projections 210 when the locking device 1 is closed.

[0248] As can be seen from Fig. 4C, the magnetic devices 22, 32 are arranged slightly offset from each other along the deflection direction Y when viewed in the closed position, so that a magnetic force between the magnetic devices 22, 32 also acts tangentially in the direction of engagement of the locking element 33 with the engagement projections 210 and the locking element 33 is thus loaded in the direction of engagement with the engagement projections 210.

[0249] The magnetic devices 22, 32 can each be formed by one or more permanent magnets, for example.

[0250] In one embodiment, the magnetic devices 22, 32 can be formed on the one hand by one or more permanent magnets and on the other hand by a magnetic armature made of a passive magnetic material, in particular a ferromagnetic material. An embodiment shown in Figs. 13A, 13B to 24A-24E is functionally essentially identical to the embodiment described above with reference to Figs. 1A, 1B to 12A-12E. In particular, the views according to Figs. 13A, 13B to 24A-24E correspond to the views according to Figs. 1A, 1B to 12A-12E.

[0251] The embodiment shown in Figures 13A, 13B to 24A-24E differs from the embodiment shown in Figures 1A, 1B to 12A-12E in that, in the embodiment shown in Figures 13A, 13B to 24A-24E, the guide openings 302 formed on the opposite walls 308 of the attachment section 301 are oriented perpendicular to the closing direction X and not obliquely as in the embodiment shown in Figures 1A, 1B to 12A-12E. Similarly, the engagement projections 210 are also shaped with locking surfaces perpendicular to the closing direction X. This can strengthen the retention of the locking parts 2, 3 against each other in the closed position, as will be explained below with reference to Figures 45 to 50.

[0252] Furthermore, full reference is made to the explanations of the embodiment shown in Figs. 1A, 1B to 12A-12E.

[0253] A locking device 1 of the described type can, for example, be used on a container 4, such as a battery housing, for use on a vehicle, such as an electrically powered bicycle (e-bike). An exemplary embodiment of such a container 4 is shown in Figures 25A, 25B to 28A-28C.

[0254] The container device 4 has a housing 40 to which a cover element 41 is detachably attached. By removing the cover element 41, the housing 40 can be opened to access the interior of the housing 40, for example to replace batteries.

[0255] The locking device 1 serves to lock the cover element 41 to the housing 40. In the closed position, the cover element 41 is firmly connected to the housing 40, as can be seen in Figures 25A, 25B, and 26A-26C. The locking part 2 is, for example, arranged on a housing section 400 of the housing 40. The locking part 3, on the other hand, is arranged on the cover element 41, so that by connecting the locking parts 2 and 3, the cover element 41 can be locked to the housing 40. To remove the cover element 41 from the housing 40, the locking device 1 can be opened, as can be seen in Figures 27A, 27B, and 28A-28C.

[0256] In other uses, the locking device 1 can implement a belt buckle, as shown in an embodiment in Figs. 29A, 29B to 44A-44E.

[0257] In the illustrated embodiment, a webbing receptacle 202 is formed on the body 20 of the closure part 2, to which a webbing 5 is attached. Conversely, a webbing receptacle 305 is formed on the body 30 of the closure part 3, to which a webbing 6 is arranged. By connecting the closure parts 2 and 3 to one another, the webbing 5 and 6 can be connected and are held together along a load direction defined by the webbing 5 and 6.

[0258] The locking device 1 functionally corresponds to the embodiments shown in Figures 1A, 1B to 12A-12E and in Figures 13A, 13B to 24A-24E. For the operation of the locking device 1, reference is made in full to the preceding explanations, unless otherwise stated below. In particular, the views shown in Figures 35A-35D to 44A-44E correspond to the views of the locking device 1 shown in Figures 3A-3D to 12A-12E and 15A-15D to 24A-24E.

[0259] As in the embodiment according to Figs. 13A, 13B to 24A-24E, in the embodiment of the fastening device 1 in the form of the belt buckle according to Figs. 29A, 29B to 44A-44E, the guide openings 302 on the opposite walls 308 of the attachment section 301 of the body 30 of the fastening part 3 are formed by elongated holes directed perpendicular to the closing direction X.

[0260] The attachment section 301 on the body 30 of the closure part 3 does not have a fully enclosed frame, but rather U-shaped walls arranged relative to each other, which are open on one side, as can be seen in particular from Fig. 32A, 32B and Fig. 34.

[0261] As in the embodiment shown in Figures 1A, 1B to 12A-12E, in the embodiment shown in Figures 29A, 29B to 44A-44E, support sections 303 are formed in the form of projections on the inside of the walls 308 of the attachment section 301. When the locking parts 2, 3 are attached to one another along the closing direction X and the body 20 of the locking part 2 is inserted into the frame of the attachment section 301, the support sections 303 of the locking part 3 engage with the support openings 200 on the body 20 of the locking part 2 and thus provide support for the locking parts 2, 3 relative to each other. In the closed position, the locking part 2 with the body 20 is arranged between the walls 308 of the attachment section 30, so that the body 20 lies between the walls 308 of the attachment section 301.In addition, the support sections 303 on the inside of the walls 308 of the attachment section 301 engage in the associated support openings 200 on the body 20 of the closure part 2, so that the bodies 20, 30 are thereby positively locked to each other in all spatial directions in a plane perpendicular to the closing direction X and transverse forces are thus absorbed and supported.

[0262] In the embodiments shown in Figures 1A, 1B to 24A-24E, the locking element 33 is formed by a rod element that is separate from the connecting element 31 but fixedly arranged on the connecting element 31. In the embodiment shown in Figures 29A, 29B to 44A-44E, the locking element 33 is formed integrally with the connecting element 31. For this purpose, the locking element 33 is formed as an engagement projection on the connecting element 31, which, in the closed position, engages with the engagement projections 210 of the engagement device 21 of the locking part 2, as can be seen, for example, in the sectional view shown in Figure 36B.

[0263] The locking element 33 has a ramp 331 which, when the locking parts 2, 3 are attached along the closing direction X, runs against ramps 211 of the engagement projections 210, as can be seen in Figs. 42B and 44B.

[0264] In this embodiment, bearing sections 330 are formed by axle stubs projecting from both sides of the connecting element 31, as can be seen in Fig. 34, which lie in the associated bearing openings 302 on the opposite walls 308 of the attachment section 301 of the body 30.

[0265] Furthermore, the illustrated embodiment is identical to the previously described embodiments with regard to the function of the locking device 1, so full reference should be made to the preceding explanations.

[0266] Figures 45 to 47 show schematic views of embodiments of an engagement projection 210 on the body 20 of the locking part 2 in conjunction with a rod-shaped locking element 33 of the connecting element 31 of the locking part 3.

[0267] As can be seen in Fig. 45, a locking surface 212 of the engagement projection 210, with which the locking element 33 can come into contact in the closed position, can be inclined to the closing direction X. This corresponds essentially to the embodiment according to Figs. 1A, 1B to 12A-12E.

[0268] In another embodiment, shown in Fig. 46, the locking surface 212 can be oriented perpendicular to the closing direction X. This essentially corresponds to the embodiment according to Figs. 13A, 13B to 24A-24E.

[0269] In yet another embodiment, the blocking surface 212 can also have a negative angle to the closing direction X, as can be seen in Fig. 47.

[0270] The holding force of the locking elements 2, 3 against each other along the closing direction X can be adjusted by orienting the locking surface 212. Depending on the orientation of the locking surface 212, the locking device 1 can, for example, open automatically when sufficient force is applied between the locking elements 2, 3, as shown in the embodiment of Fig. 45. In the embodiments of Figs. 46 and 47, the engagement can be self-reinforcing, so that when a load is applied between the locking elements 2, 3 along the closing direction X, the engagement between the engagement projection 210 and the locking element 33 is further reinforced and therefore cannot disengage automatically.

[0271] If the locking element 33 is formed by an engagement projection integrally formed with the connecting element 31, as shown in Figures 48 to 50, then the engagement projection of the locking element 33 is, for example, complementary to the engagement projection 210. Again, the orientation of the locking surface 212 and a complementary contact surface on the locking element 33 can determine whether the locking device 1 is self-releasing or self-reinforcing when a load is applied between the locking parts 2, 3 along the closing direction X.

[0272] The locking mechanism can be released in each case by moving the locking element 33, which is caused by pivoting the connecting element 31. Whether the engagement between the engagement projection 210 and the locking element 33 is self-releasing or self-reinforcing can also be determined by the relative orientation of the locking surface 212 of the engagement projection 210 and the respective guide opening 302 in which the connecting element 31 is guided.

[0273] If the locking surface 212 is aligned parallel to the guide opening 302 and a support surface 307 is aligned on the guide opening 302 parallel to the locking surface 212, as in the embodiment according to Fig. 51, the locking device 1 can be self-releasing in that, with sufficient force, the locking parts 2, 3 can be separated from each other in a self-releasing manner against the closing direction X.

[0274] If the locking surface 212 and the support surface 307 defined by the guide opening 302 are arranged at an angle α to each other that widens outwards in the deflection direction Y, as in the embodiment according to Fig. 52, the locking device 1 is designed to be self-releasing, whereby the limiting force at which the locking parts 2, 3 separate from each other in the opposite direction X can be set by the angle α. In such a self-releasing design, the locking parts 2, 3 can be held against each other without play in the closed position.

[0275] If, on the other hand, the angle β between the locking surface 212 and the support surface 307 defined by the guide opening 302 is negative, and if the space between the locking surface 212 and the support surface 307 tapers outwards in the deflection direction Y, as in the embodiment according to Fig. 53, the engagement between the locking element 33 and the engagement projection 210 is self-reinforcing such that, when a load is applied between the locking parts 2, 3 against the closing direction X, the engagement between the locking element 33 and the engagement projection 210 is further reinforced and thus cannot disengage spontaneously. However, to connect the locking parts 2, 3, a clearance between the engagement projection 210 of the engagement device 21 and the locking element 33 is required so that the locking element 33 can be brought into engagement with the engagement projection 210 and also released from engagement again.

[0276] The invention is not limited to the illustrated embodiments, but can also be implemented in other ways. A fastening device of the described type can be used to connect any two parts, for example as a belt buckle, as a closure for a bag, a suitcase, a box, a piece of furniture, or even to connect an assembly on a vehicle, such as a motor vehicle or a bicycle. Other applications are also conceivable and possible.
