[0004] Partition wall for separating bulk materials

[0005] The invention relates to a partition wall for separating bulk materials, comprising a base plate and side walls which are connected to each other including a cavity which can be at least partially filled with material.

[0006] When modifying a partition wall arrangement or storage facility formed by such partition walls, or when spatially relocating such partition walls between different locations, the cavity of the partition wall is emptied before the associated transport processes.

[0007] In the case of such partition walls known from the prior art, e.g., from DE 20 2006 000 880 U1, holes are provided in the side walls for emptying. However, this only allows for partial emptying of the partition wall's cavity if tilting or rotating the wall is to be avoided, and the effort required for tilting or rotating the wall is considerable. For example, this requires a comparatively high expenditure of energy and personnel. It is not uncommon for partition walls of certain dimensions, whose cavity is filled with a specific material, to be unable to be moved or reused and may have to be disposed of at considerable expense.

[0008] Based on the prior art described above, the invention aims to provide a partition wall for separating bulk materials, in which the economic effort required for transport operations, which includes in particular energy and personnel costs, is significantly reduced, its application possibilities are thereby expanded and it is therefore overall considerably more sustainable.

[0009] This problem is solved according to the invention by providing a drain opening in the base plate of the partition wall with the features described above, through which the filling material introduced into the cavity of the partition wall can escape from the cavity of the partition wall. [0010] 124153 WO

[0011] 2. By simply lifting the partition wall from the ground, i.e. without any twisting or tilting movements, the cavity of the partition wall can be emptied without any special effort in the case of the partition wall designed according to the invention.

[0012] If the partition wall is subject to dynamic stresses during stationary operation due to mechanical loads occurring there, or if certain filling materials are used, it may be advantageous if the emptying opening in the base plate can be temporarily closed by means of a closure.

[0013] The closure can be designed as a closure plate in an easy-to-use embodiment and / or be made of a preferably impregnated wood material, sheet steel, plastic, etc.

[0014] Advantageously, the base plate has guide means on its edge area surrounding the drain opening, by means of which the closing plate can be positioned in a position that essentially closes the drain opening.

[0015] According to an advantageous further development of the partition wall according to the invention, its closure is arranged on the base plate above the draining opening in such a way that the closure can be removed or slide out after it has been tilted through the draining opening.

[0016] In order to minimize malfunctions when bringing about the tilting of the lock, it is advantageous if the guide means on the base plate side are designed in such a way that the lock can be guided into the tilting position by means of them during its adjustment.

[0017] If a stop element is formed on the underside of the breechblock, by means of which a point of attack of a tool used to tilt the breechblock is defined, the sequence of movements for bringing about the tilting of the breechblock can be realized in a precisely controlled manner.

[0018] To support the most correct possible positioning of the closure in or on the emptying opening, it is advisable to use the closure-side LÜRA Holding GmbH 14 August 2025

[0019] 124153 WO

[0020] 3

[0021] The stop element should be designed in such a way that it holds the closure in or at the emptying opening.

[0022] In a method according to the invention for emptying a partition wall for separating bulk materials, the partition wall is lifted and the filling material located in the cavity of the partition wall is discharged through a discharge opening in the base plate of the partition wall.

[0023] Advantageously, in a further development of the inventive method, after lifting the partition wall, a closure which substantially covers the emptying opening can be moved into an inclined position and removed from the cavity of the partition wall or slide out before the filling material is discharged from the cavity of the partition wall through the emptying opening.

[0024] The invention will now be explained in more detail with reference to embodiments and the drawing. The drawing shows:

[0025] Figure 1 shows a perspective schematic representation of an embodiment of a partition wall according to the invention for separating bulk materials;

[0026] Figure 2 shows the lower section facing the ground of the embodiment of the partition wall according to the invention shown in Figure 1, with the base plate closed by means of a fastener; and

[0027] Figure 3 shows the lower section facing the ground of the embodiment of the partition wall according to the invention shown in Figures 1 and 2 when the base plate is opened.

[0028] An embodiment of a partition wall 1 according to the invention, shown in a perspective schematic representation in Figure 1, serves to separate bulk materials. The partition wall 1 typically has a base plate 2 and – in the embodiment shown in Figure 1 – four side walls 3, 4, 5 and 6, namely a front wall 3, a first side wall 4, a second side wall 5 and a rear wall 6. Furthermore, the partition wall 1 has a top wall 7 in the illustrated embodiment. The base plate 2, the four side walls 3, 4, 5, and 6 and the top wall 7 are LÜRA Holding GmbH August 14, 2025

[0029] 124153 WO

[0030] The four sections are connected at their corresponding edges and enclose a cavity 8. The partition wall 1 is frequently used, for example, in building material storage facilities or similar locations. For this purpose, such a partition wall 1 is transported to the site and positioned there at the desired location. To increase the stability of the partition wall 1 at the desired location, the cavity 8 within the partition wall 1 is partially or almost completely filled with a suitable material, which is not shown in Figures 1 to 3, depending on the requirements. For this purpose, at least one filling opening is provided in the side walls 3, 4, 5 and / or 6 and / or in the top wall 7, which is also not shown in Figures 1 to 3.

[0031] As indicated by the dashed line in Figure 1 and shown more clearly in Figures 2 and 3, the base plate 2 of the partition wall 1 has a discharge opening 9 approximately in the center. If the partition wall 1 needs to be moved to a different location for any reason, it is first lifted. The material contained in the cavity 8 can then exit the cavity 8 of the partition wall 1 through the discharge opening 9, which is now free from the ground after the partition wall 1 has been lifted. After the material has exited the cavity 8 of the partition wall 1, the partition wall 1 can be transported to its new location with a significantly reduced weight, thereby considerably simplifying any necessary handling or similar processes.

[0032] In the embodiment of the partition wall 1 shown particularly in Figures 2 and 3, the drain opening 9 formed in the base plate is provided with a closure, which is designed as a closure plate 10. The drain opening 9 provided in the base plate 2 can be temporarily closed by means of this closure plate 10. This is particularly advantageous when non-compactable materials are used as the filling material. Such a closure plate 10 can also be advantageous when compactable materials are used as the filling material if the partition wall 1 is subjected to dynamic loads.

[0033] Such a sealing plate 10 can be made of any suitable material, in particular a wood-based material, which may be impregnated, sheet steel, or plastic. The dimensions of the sealing plate 10 are selected such that the sealing plate 10 covers the drain opening 9 as much as possible. LÜRA Holding GmbH, August 14, 2025

[0034] 124153 WO

[0035] 5 covers and that the sealing plate 10 can be removed from the cavity 8 of the partition wall 1 through the drain opening 9. The base plate 2 of the partition wall 1 has guide means 11 on its inner surface facing the cavity 8 in its edge region surrounding the drain opening 9, by means of which it is ensured that the sealing plate 10, when it lies on the inner surface of the base plate 2, is arranged above the drain opening 9 and covers the drain opening 9 as completely as possible.

[0036] As can be seen in particular from a combined view of Figures 2 and 3, the closing plate 10 is arranged on the inner surface of the base plate 2 in the width direction of the partition wall 1 above the draining opening 9, such that when the closing plate 10 is brought into an inclined position as shown in Figure 3, it can be removed or slide out of the cavity 8 of the partition wall 1 through the draining opening 9.

[0037] If the partition wall 1 is to be removed from its current location and, for example, moved to another location, the contents of the cavity 8 of the partition wall 1 can be emptied to facilitate transport. To do this, the closing plate 10 must first be moved from the closed position shown in Figure 2, which covers the emptying opening 9 of the base plate 2, to the inclined position shown in Figure 3. To accomplish this with relatively little effort, the partition wall 1 is lifted from the surface until a tool, such as a suitable mandrel 12, can be inserted between the base plate 2 of the partition wall 1 and the surface. The tool or mandrel 12 is then positioned so that its base plate 2 is flush with the surface. The tip of the closing plate 10, facing the guide system, comes into contact with a stop element 13, which is formed on the underside of the closing plate 10 facing away from the cavity 8 of the actuating wall 1. The stop element 13 defines the point of application of the tool or mandrel 12 on the underside of the closing plate 10. The arrangement of the stop element 13 on the underside of the closing plate 10 is selected such that when the closing plate 10 is lowered by the tool or mandrel 12 positioned by means of the stop element 13, its side region containing the stop element 13 is pressed upwards into the cavity 8 of the actuating wall 1, with this upward movement being controlled by LÜRA Holding GmbH, August 14, 2025.

[0038] 124153 WO

[0039] 6 on the inner surface of the base plate 2 provided guide means 11, so that it is positioned at an angle above the drain opening 9 in the base plate 2, so that the closing plate 10 can be removed or slide out of the cavity 8 of the partition wall 1 through the drain opening 9.

[0040] The stop element 13 provided on the underside of the closure plate 10 can be designed or bent at its free end in such a way that, as a closure plate-side holding element in conjunction with the base plate-side guide element 11, it ensures a reliable positioning of the closure plate 10 in the area above the drain opening 9 of the base plate 2.

[0041] Due to the design of the aforementioned partition wall 1 with the drain opening 9 provided in its base plate 2, the draining process, by which the contents are removed from the cavity 8 of the partition wall 1, can be implemented in a comparatively simple manner. The contents can drain out of the cavity 8 of the partition wall 1 without the partition wall 1 having to be tilted, for example, and without the contents having to be removed from the cavity 8 of the partition wall 1 in any other way, e.g., by suction or the like.
