[0002] Clamping set
[0003] Description
[0004] The invention relates to a clamping set suitable for clamping a cylindrical component with a body arranged concentrically to it, and comprising an outer ring and an inner ring arranged concentrically to and at a distance from the outer ring in a radial direction, axially parallel pressure elements, and screws for connecting these pressure elements, wherein both the outer ring and the inner ring are closed in themselves and do not have an axially arranged slot.
[0005] Such a clamping device is described, among other places, in DE 74 23 987 U. The use of this known clamping device in mining is not disclosed therein.
[0006] The inner ring does not necessarily have to be completely closed; it can also be slotted. The issue of preventing potential water ingress is not mentioned there.
[0007] A clamping set used in mining for fastening belt drums is described, among other places, in DE 1 099 806.
[0008] Such a tape drum typically has a cylindrical component in the form of a shaft or drum shaft. The tape drum has a drum shell and two connected drum ends through which the shaft extends and which are clamped to the shaft by means of a clamping set.
[0009] Operating such systems presents the problem of significant dust generation. To suppress this dust, these systems are often sprayed with water. M / RIFKOS-027-PC
[0010] 2
[0011] The clamping sets currently in use have slotted rings to compensate for mechanical changes caused by pressure. If water penetrates these slots in the non-stainless steel clamping sets, it causes hydrogen embrittlement and cracks in the high-strength bolts used. To prevent this, the clamping sets are now fitted with a watertight cover. However, this has the disadvantage that the bolts are no longer accessible and the tightening torque can no longer be checked.
[0012] The object of the present invention is to provide a clamping set that better protects against the negative consequences of water ingress in belt drums.
[0013] This task is solved by a clamping set in which both the outer ring and the inner ring are closed in themselves and therefore have no axially arranged slot, and in which the screws are also protected against rust.
[0014] The outer and inner rings previously used in tape drums had a slot extending in the axial direction. In other words, these rings were not closed. According to the invention, such slots are no longer present, and the rings are closed.
[0015] The screws, the inner ring, and the outer ring of the clamping assembly according to the invention are protected against corrosion. In other words, all parts of the clamping assembly used according to the invention are protected against corrosion.
[0016] There are various known methods for protecting metal parts or metal elements from rust.
[0017] In a preferred embodiment, the corrosion protection of the aforementioned elements of the clamping assembly is achieved by nickel plating, either chemically or electroplating. The corrosion protection is thereby achieved by a coating on the surface. However, this results in a dimensional change. M / RIFKOS-027-PC
[0018] 3
[0019] According to a further preferred embodiment, the screws of the clamping set according to the invention can be protected against rust by nitrocarburizing and oxidation. This is a thermochemical diffusion treatment and provides wear and corrosion protection for a component surface. The rust-preventive layer diffuses into the material and does not cause any dimensional change. The nitrocarburizing and oxidation process produces an anthracite-black surface.
[0020] Furthermore, corrosion protection is preferably achieved by a zinc flake coating. Such a zinc flake coating for screws is well-known and is used as standard equipment in the automotive industry and often in wind turbines. The coating thickness is specified in ISO 10683.
[0021] The zinc flake coating as a basecoat, however, increases the coefficient of friction of the screws. Therefore, these screws are still preferably additionally coated with a topcoat to adjust the coefficient of friction.
[0022] For visual indication of the preload force, these are preferably equipped with an indicator for a visual display of the preload force. Such indicators are also known. These may be those described in US 7,958,614 B2.
[0023] The preload of the indicator-equipped screws can be evaluated using a color chart. However, it is also possible to transmit this optical signal electrically. These measures are facilitated by the fact that the screws or the conveyor drums in which these clamping sets are typically used no longer need to be fitted with covers, as was previously the case.
[0024] Preferably, the screws are expansion screws with a tensile strength of at least 1350 N / mm². 2 and a minimum yield strength of 1200 N / mm² 2 and formed with a rolled thread.
[0025] The pressure elements or wedge rings have a number of bores corresponding to the number of screws, and thus a multitude of bores. These pressure elements therefore preferably have a minimum yield strength of 750 N / mm². 2 . M / RIFKOS-027-PC
[0026] 4
[0027] The invention also relates to a tape drum with a drum shell and two disc-shaped drum ends connected thereto, as well as a drum shaft, which are clamped to the drum ends and thus to the tape drum by means of a clamping set. According to the invention, a clamping set as described in the present documents is used.
[0028] The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings, which are not to scale. These drawings show:
[0029] Figure 1 shows a compound clamping set according to the prior art in top and sectional view, as well as the associated outer ring and inner ring, each shown separately in sectional view.
[0030] Figure 2 shows views corresponding to Figure 1 of a clamping set according to the invention and
[0031] Figure 3 shows a sectional view of a tape drum.
[0032] The clamping set 1 shown in Figures 1 and 2 has an outer ring 2 and an inner ring 3. The inner ring 3 is equipped with a flat inner surface 9 and a double-conical outer surface 11 facing the outer ring 2. To clamp a cylindrical component, the inner surface 9 of the inner ring 3 rests on the component (not shown).
[0033] The outer ring 2 is arranged concentrically to and radially at a distance from the inner ring 3 and has an inner surface 12 that is parallel to the outer surface 11 of the inner ring 3 and is doubly conical. The inner surface 12 of the outer ring 2 is doubly conical and mirror-image to the outer surface 11 of the inner ring 3.
[0034] Between the inner ring 3 and the outer ring 5, pressure elements in the form of wedge rings 6 and 7 are arranged, which are provided with double-conical surfaces. The wedge ring 6 is equipped with bores 13 through which the screws 5 extend and engage in threaded bores 14 in the wedge ring 7. When the screws 5 are tightened, the wedge rings 6 and 7 are drawn towards each other and slide onto the conical inner surfaces 12 of the outer ring 2 and the conical outer surfaces 11 of the inner ring 3, clamping the inner ring 3 against the outer ring 2. M / RIFKOS-027-PC
[0035] 5
[0036] To compensate for the movements that occur during clamping, the prior art embodiment shown in Figure 1 has an axially extending slot 4 in both the inner ring 3 and the outer ring 2. This results in both the inner ring 3 and the outer ring 2 no longer rotating completely and no longer being closed within themselves.
[0037] In contrast, these slots are not present in the clamping set 1 according to the invention. Instead, ring material 15 is found in place of the slots.
[0038] The clamping assembly 1 according to the invention is equipped with corrosion-protected screws 5. In the embodiment shown, these are corrosion-protected external hexagon screws 5.
[0039] The sectional view in Figure 3 shows a belt drum used in mining, with a drum shell 19 and two disc-shaped drum ends 17 connected to it. The clamping sets discussed here serve to clamp the drum shaft 16 to the two drum ends 17 and therefore to the belt drum.
[0040] On the right side of Figure 3, an embodiment according to the prior art is shown. The clamping assembly 1 shown in Figure 1 according to the prior art serves to clamp the drum shaft 16 to a disc-shaped drum base 17 of the belt drum. To prevent the ingress of water, the clamping assembly 1 is sealed to the outside by an annular cover 18, which is placed on the drum shaft 16.
[0041] The left side of Figure 3 shows the embodiment in which the clamping set 1 according to the invention, as shown in Figure 2, serves to clamp the drum shaft 16 to the disc-shaped drum base 17 of the tape drum shown on the left of the figure. As can be seen, there is no longer an annular cover.
[0042] It goes without saying that in actual use, the tape drum is equipped with a clamping set 1 according to the invention on both the side shown on the left in Figure 3 and the side shown on the right in this figure. M / RIFKOS-027-PC
