Description

Technical Field

[0001] The present invention relates to a press machine, and more particularly to a multi-directional multi-cam press machine for perforating panel materials on a vehicle body sub-assembly line. Background Art

[0002] Typically, to produce a finished body panel, several press forming processes must be performed, one of which is a perforation process that creates holes in the panel material.

[0003] The perforation process is performed by a cam type perforation press machine which forms perforations in the side surface of the panel material using an inclined cam structure. The cam type perforation press machine is provided on one side of the pressing die and is used to perform a pressing process on the panel material as a workpiece.

[0004] Recently, a multi-directional multi-cam type piercing press has been developed to perform piercing operations in different directions within the narrow structural space of the pressing die.

[0005] In the multi-directional multi-cam type perforating press, one cam driver is constructed in the upper die of the pressing die, and a plurality of cam slides are constructed in the lower die of the pressing die. Therefore, the cam driver moves the cam slide in different directions, and the panel material can be perforated in different directions by the perforating punches combined with the cam slides.

[0006] However, conventionally, since the cam slider is constructed in the lower mold, it is difficult to ensure space in the pressing mold. In addition, when the cam slider is reset, the driving distance of the cam slider must be extended to avoid interference caused by removing the panel material. However, when the cam slider is reset, the extension of the driving distance of the cam slider causes mutual interference.

[0007] The information disclosed in the background of the invention is only for enhancement of understanding of the general background of the invention and should not be regarded as an admission or any form of suggestion that this information constitutes the prior art already known to a person skilled in the art. [0107] In the present case, the first cam slider 210 is elastically supported by the return spring unit 310 through the cam base 110 , and is in close contact with the return stopper 410 .

[0108] Furthermore, when the cam driver 610 is located above the first cam slider 210 , the second cam slider 710 moves rearward and downward along the guide rail member 641 .

[0109] In the state as described above, in the exemplary embodiment of the present invention, the upper mold 5 moves downward relative to the lower mold 3, and the panel material 1 is molded into a set shape. In this process, in the exemplary embodiment of the present invention, as in the drawings included above, the cam driver 610 also moves in the downward direction together with the upper mold 5. Here, the cam driver 610 is guided downward along the second guide block 151 of the cam base 110 by the second guide plate 621.

[0110] Therefore, the cam driver 610 makes cam contact with the driven cam plate 211 of the first cam slider 210 through the driving cam plate 611. Therefore, the cam driver 610 moves the first cam slider 210 together with the first punch unit 510 forward and downward in the first direction.

[0111] Here, the first cam slider 210 slides forward in the first direction while overcoming the elastic force of the return spring unit 310 through the main rail block 121 , the auxiliary rail block 131 , and the first guide plate 221 .

[0112] During this process, as the cam driver 610 descends, the second cam slider 710 cams into contact with the cam inclined surface 911 of the cam block 910 through the cam groove 721 on the lower surface. Therefore, the second cam slider 710 moves upward and forward along the guide rail member 641 and engages with the guide stopper 645.

[0113] In the above process, the second cam slider 710 moves downward along the second direction together with the second punch unit 810 through the cam block 910 .

[0114] Therefore, in various exemplary embodiments of the present invention, while undergoing a series of processes as described above, perforations in the first direction are processed in the panel material 1 by the perforation tool 511 of the first punch unit 510. In addition, in various exemplary embodiments of the present invention, perforations in the second direction may be processed in the panel material 1 by the perforation tool 811 of the second punch unit 810.

[0115] On the other hand, in a state where the perforation is processed in the set portion of the panel material 1 as described above, when the upper die 5 moves upward relative to the lower die 3, the cam driver 610 also moves upward.

[0116] Therefore, in various exemplary embodiments of the present invention, the first cam slider 210 is reset to its initial position when it moves backward under the elastic force of the reset spring unit 310. In addition, in various exemplary embodiments of the present invention, the second cam slider 710 is reset to its initial position when it moves backward under the elastic force of a spring not shown.

[0117] In the multi-directional multi-cam press 100 according to various exemplary embodiments of the present invention described so far, the cam base 110 is provided with the first cam slider 210 , and the cam driver 610 is provided with the second cam slider 710 moving in a direction different from the first cam slider 210 .

[0118] Therefore, in various exemplary embodiments of the present invention, by driving a single cam by the cam driver 610 , the first cam slider and the second cam slider 710 are moved in different directions and perforations are formed in the panel material 1 in different directions.

[0119] Therefore, according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, since perforation processing can be performed in different directions without process division even in the narrow structural space of the pressing mold, the space constraints of the pressing mold can be overcome, and the mold manufacturing cost and process time can be reduced.

[0120] In addition, in various exemplary embodiments of the present invention, the cam driving force of the cam driver 610 can be directly transmitted to the first cam slider 210 and the second cam slider 710 without passing through a separate medium slider. Therefore, the driving distance of the cam sliders 210 and 710 can be fully ensured without causing interference between the cam sliders 210 and 710.
