Description

Technical Field

[0001] The present invention relates to the field of thermoplastic elastomer materials, and in particular to a method for preparing a halogenated EPDM / PP rubber-plastic blend material, a dynamically vulcanized thermoplastic elastomer, and a preparation method and application thereof. Background Art

[0002] EPDM / PP thermoplastic elastomer materials are the first type of thermoplastic elastomer to enter the market. They have good physical properties and can be processed using thermoplastic plastic processing equipment and processes. They are widely used in household appliances, wires and cables, construction, automobiles and other industries. As the scope of application continues to expand, EPDM / PP TPV, as the "third generation rubber", has gradually replaced traditional rubber. However, due to its poor compatibility among various phases and complex preparation process, the mechanical properties and processing properties of TPV products are affected, thus limiting its scope of application.

[0003] Literature (Jiang Wanlan et al., Properties of New Chlorinated EPDM Rubber and Its Vulcanizates; World Rubber Industry, 2001, Vol. 28, No. 2: pp. 15-16) uses dichlorocarbonyl to react with double bonds of EPDM rubber to obtain modified EPDM rubber, which improves its adhesion and co-vulcanization properties with highly unsaturated rubbers. However, due to the reduction of double bonds in the modified rubber, the vulcanization rate and vulcanization network density of EPDM rubber are reduced, and its tensile strength is low and its tensile permanent deformation is high.

[0004] CN101597378A discloses a method for preparing a thermoplastic dynamically vulcanized rubber, and the specific operation steps are as follows: (1) EPDM rubber, polypropylene, talcum powder, and antioxidant 1010 are uniformly mixed in a high-speed mixer, melt-blended at 180°C through a twin-screw extruder, and a naphthenic oil softener is added through a liquid filling port; (2) the product of (1), tert-octylphenolic resin vulcanizer, and stannous chloride are uniformly mixed in a high-speed mixer, and dynamically vulcanized at 180°C through a twin-screw extruder, and a naphthenic oil softener is added; (3) the product of (2) and black masterbatch are uniformly mixed in a high-speed mixer, and melt-extruded at 180°C through a twin-screw extruder, and a naphthenic oil softener is added. The dynamically vulcanized thermoplastic elastomer material prepared by this preparation method has low elongation at break, rough surface, and poor processing performance. Summary of the invention
