A fault analysis and detection system and a fault analysis and detection method

Abstract

This application discloses a fault analysis and detection system and method applied to a substation system. The system includes: a management unit for sending waveform recording mode signals or test mode signals to a data acquisition unit; a data acquisition unit for receiving operating data from primary equipment in the substation if a waveform recording mode signal is received, and sending the operating data to secondary equipment in the substation; and for stopping receiving operating data and sending test signals to secondary equipment according to the test mode signal if a test mode signal is received; the management unit is also used to obtain the status information of the secondary equipment after sending the test mode signal to the data acquisition unit, and determine whether a fault exists in the secondary equipment based on the status information. By improving the original data acquisition unit in the substation system, and sending test signals to secondary equipment during testing, the maintenance of secondary equipment is simplified with lower costs for modifying the original substation system.
