Description

Technical Field

[0001] The present disclosure relates to a vehicle. Background Art

[0002] Japanese Patent Publication No. 2023-034812 discloses a technology for displaying vehicle content in an area below the front windshield. In this technology, the display includes a plurality of displays arranged on the lower side of the instrument panel, and a reflector arranged on the lower side of the plurality of displays. The content displayed on the display surface of each display can be viewed by a user sitting in the driver's seat via the reflector.

[0003] In the above technology, a plurality of displays are arranged in the vehicle width direction. The display located in front of the driver's seat displays an instrument image (instrument video). The displays located at the left and right ends display content for electronic mirrors (camera video).

[0004] However, in the display described in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2023-034812, since a plurality of displays are arranged to form a substantially flat surface in the vehicle width direction, it is difficult for the user to instantly distinguish between the instrument image and the camera image, and there is room for improvement. Summary of the invention

[0005] The present disclosure provides a vehicle in which a user sitting on a driver's seat can instantly distinguish between an instrument image and a camera image.

[0006] A vehicle of the first type comprises: an instrument display device, which displays an instrument image on the front side of the vehicle compartment and on the front side of the vehicle with respect to the driver's seat; and a camera display device, which displays a camera image obtained by capturing the peripheral view of the vehicle at a position peripheral to the instrument image and at a position offset toward the front side of the vehicle or the rear side of the vehicle relative to the instrument image when observed from the driver's seat.

[0007] According to the vehicle of the first embodiment, the instrument display device displays an instrument image on the front side of the vehicle compartment and the front side of the driver's seat. In addition, the camera display device displays a camera image obtained by shooting the peripheral field of view of the vehicle at a position around the instrument image when viewed from the driver's seat.

[0008] Here, the camera image is displayed at a position offset to the front side or the rear side of the vehicle relative to the instrument image. Therefore, even if the instrument image and the camera image are displayed side by side when viewed from the driver's seat, each image can be easily distinguished according to the difference in depth. However, the "displayed image" mentioned here is a concept that broadly includes both the case where the image is directly displayed on the display surface visually confirmed by the user sitting on the driver's seat, and the case where the image is formed as a virtual image.

[0009] The vehicle of the second embodiment is that in the first embodiment, the upper end of the camera image is located at a height above the center of the instrument image in the vehicle vertical direction, and the lower end of the camera image is located at a height below the center of the instrument image in the vehicle vertical direction.

[0010] According to the vehicle of the second aspect, the camera image is displayed at a position substantially parallel to the instrument image in the horizontal direction, so that the user sitting in the driver's seat can check the instrument image and the camera image with minimal horizontal line of sight movement.

[0011] The vehicle of the third embodiment is that in the first embodiment, the camera display device is constructed to include: a driver's seat side side view mirror display device, which displays a driver's seat side electronic side view mirror image obtained by photographing the rear of the driver's seat side of the vehicle; a passenger seat side side view mirror display device, which displays a passenger seat side electronic side view mirror image obtained by photographing the rear of the passenger seat side of the vehicle; a rearview mirror display device, which displays an electronic rearview mirror image obtained by photographing the direct rear direction of the vehicle, and the display visually confirmed by the user sitting on the driver's seat includes the driver's seat side electronic side view mirror image, the instrument image, the electronic rearview mirror image, and the passenger seat side electronic side view mirror image arranged in sequence from the driver's seat side toward the passenger seat side.

[0012] According to the third type of vehicle, the driver's side electronic side mirror image obtained by shooting the rear of the driver's side of the vehicle is displayed by the driver's side side mirror display device. In addition, the passenger's side electronic side mirror image obtained by shooting the rear of the passenger's side of the vehicle is displayed by the passenger's side side mirror display device. In addition, the rearview mirror display device displays an electronic rearview mirror image obtained by shooting the rear direction of the vehicle. Thus, the user can keep his sight toward the front of the vehicle and visually confirm the rear of the vehicle widely.

[0013] In addition, the display visually confirmed by the user is arranged in order from the driver's seat side to the passenger seat side, including the driver's seat side electronic side mirror image, the instrument image, the electronic rearview mirror image, and the passenger seat side electronic side mirror image. Since this arrangement is the same order as the driver's seat side side mirror, the instrument, the rearview mirror (interior mirror), and the passenger seat side side mirror in the previous vehicle, the user can recognize each display without feeling any discomfort.

[0014] A vehicle according to a fourth aspect is the vehicle according to the third aspect, wherein the electronic rearview mirror image visually recognized by the user is located on the vehicle rear side relative to the instrument image and on the vehicle front side relative to the passenger seat side electronic sideview mirror image.

[0015] According to the vehicle of the fourth embodiment, when viewed from the user, the instrument image, the electronic rearview mirror image, and the passenger seat side electronic side mirror image are arranged and displayed in stages in the order of from the front side of the vehicle to the rear side of the vehicle and from the driver's seat side to the passenger seat side. Therefore, it is easy to distinguish between the instrument image and the electronic rearview mirror image, and between the electronic rearview mirror image and the passenger seat side electronic side mirror image.

[0016] The vehicle of the fifth embodiment is that in the first embodiment, the instrument display device is configured to include an instrument image light emitting unit that emits light for projecting the instrument image, and at least one instrument image reflecting surface that reflects the light of the instrument image emitted from the instrument image light emitting unit, and an instrument virtual image is formed at a position closer to the front side of the vehicle than the instrument image reflecting surface that last reflected the light of the instrument image so as to display the instrument image, and the camera display device is configured to include a camera image light emitting unit that emits light for projecting the camera image, and at least one camera image reflecting surface that reflects the light emitted from the camera image light emitting unit, and an instrument virtual image is formed at a position closer to the front side of the vehicle than the camera image reflecting surface that last reflected the light of the camera image and offset toward the front side of the vehicle or the rear side of the vehicle relative to the instrument virtual image so as to display the camera image.

[0017] According to the vehicle of the fifth embodiment, the light of the instrument image emitted from the instrument image emitting unit is reflected by at least one instrument image reflecting surface, and the instrument image is displayed by forming a virtual image of the instrument at a position closer to the front side of the vehicle than the instrument image reflecting surface that finally reflects the light of the instrument image.

[0018] In addition, the light of the camera image emitted from the camera image light emitting unit is reflected by at least one camera image reflecting surface. Furthermore, the camera image is displayed by forming a camera virtual image at a position closer to the front side of the vehicle than the camera image reflecting surface that finally reflected the light of the camera image and offset to the front side of the vehicle or the rear side of the vehicle with respect to the instrument virtual image.

[0019] Therefore, compared with a case where a display directly visually recognized by a user is arranged at the lower side of the engine hood or the front panel, since the instrument display device and the camera display device can be arranged at the rear side of the vehicle, the degree of freedom of design in the power unit room can be increased. However, the "light emission" mentioned here is a concept that widely includes a case where an image is directly displayed like a display, and a case where light for projecting an image is emitted like a projector.

[0020] The vehicle of the first aspect has an excellent effect that a user sitting on the driver's seat can instantly distinguish between the instrument image and the camera image.

[0021] The vehicle of the second aspect has an excellent effect of being able to reduce the burden of the user's line of sight movement.

[0022] The vehicle of the third aspect has an excellent effect of enabling the user to recognize each display without feeling any discomfort.

[0023] The vehicle of the fourth aspect has an excellent effect of enabling the user to easily distinguish between the instrument image and the electronic rearview mirror image, and between the electronic rearview mirror image and the passenger seat side electronic side mirror image.

[0024] The vehicle of the fifth aspect has an excellent effect of being able to increase the degree of freedom in the design of the power unit chamber. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

Figure 4 The right side view display 80 is arranged to be tilted backward so that the display surface 80A faces approximately the upper side of the vehicle and slightly faces the rear side of the vehicle.

[0075] In addition, the right-side mirror image reflecting surface 82 is located on the vehicle rear side surface of the visual confirmation mirror 62 at the vehicle right side of the rearview mirror image reflecting surface 74. The visual confirmation mirror 62 forms a right-side mirror image 48 as a camera virtual image at a position closer to the vehicle front side than the visual confirmation mirror 62 and on the vehicle right side of the rearview mirror image 46 when viewed from the driver D and substantially the same as the left-side mirror virtual image when viewed from the side, that is, closer to the vehicle rear side than the rearview mirror image 46. As a result, as shown in FIG. Figure 1 As shown, a right side mirror image 48 is displayed on the lower side of the hood 18 of the vehicle so that it can be visually recognized by the driver.

[0076] The meter display 64, the rear view display 72, the left view display 76, and the right view display 80 are all arranged on the lower side of the vehicle compared to the visual confirmation mirror 62. Although the meter display 64, the rear view display 72, the left view display 76, and the right view display 80 are each an LED (Light-Emitting Diode) display as an example, they are not limited to this, and may be, for example, an organic EL (Electro-Luminescence) display.

[0077] (HUD device)

[0078] like Figure 3 As shown, the HUD device 60 is mounted on the upper front surface of the rear wall portion 38B in the recess 38 of the instrument panel 22 in front of the driver's seat. As an example, the HUD device 60 includes a housing 60A opened on the upper side of the vehicle, and a HUD light source (not shown) provided inside the housing 60A and electrically connected to an ECU (not shown) so as to project the driving-related image 58 onto the windshield 24.

[0079] The surface of the windshield 24 on the inner side of the vehicle cabin 12 is a reflection surface 24A that reflects the light of the driving-related image 58 projected from the HUD device 60 to a position where the driver D can visually confirm it. The driver D can visually confirm the light reflected by the reflection surface 24A as the driving-related image 58. The driving-related image 58 is displayed in a form overlapping with the scenery of the actual space in front of the vehicle that the driver D visually confirms through the windshield 24. Since the driving-related image 58 is imaged at a position closer to the front side of the vehicle than the reflection surface 24A, it becomes a structure in which the driver D visually confirms the driving-related image 58 at a position closer to the front side of the vehicle than the windshield 24. In addition, the vehicle may not have the HUD device 60 that projects the driving-related image 58 onto the windshield 24.

[0080] The instrument display 64, the instrument mirror 70, and the rear view display 72 (see Figure 4 )、Left side view display 76 (refer to Figure 2 )、Right side view display 80 (refer to Figure 2 ) and the HUD device 60 are both arranged at a position that cannot be seen from the driver D sitting in the driver's seat.

[0081] (effect)

[0082] Next, the operation of this embodiment will be described.

[0083] According to the vehicle 10 involved in this embodiment, as Figure 3 As shown, the instrument display device 50 displays the instrument image 44 on the front side of the vehicle compartment 12 and the front side of the driver's seat. Figure 2 ), so that Figure 1 As shown in FIG. 1 , when viewed from the driver's seat, a left-side mirror image 42 is displayed adjacent to the left side of the instrument image 44. Figure 2 ), so that when viewed from the driver's seat, a rearview mirror image 46 is displayed adjacent to the instrument image 44 on the right. Figure 2 ) so that when observing from the driver's seat, a right-side mirror image 48 is displayed adjacent to the right of the rearview mirror image 46.

[0084] Here, if Figure 2 As shown, the rearview mirror image 46, the left-side mirror image 42, and the right-side mirror image 48 are respectively displayed at positions offset to the rear side of the vehicle relative to the instrument image 44. Therefore, even when the left-side mirror image 42, the instrument image 44, the rearview mirror image 46, and the right-side mirror image 48 are displayed in a row when viewed from the driver's seat, the driver D can easily distinguish the instrument image 44 from the other images (the rearview mirror image 46, the left-side mirror image 42, and the right-side mirror image 48) due to the difference in depth.

[0085] In addition, according to the vehicle 10 involved in the present embodiment, when viewed from the rear side of the vehicle, the left-side mirror image 42, the instrument image 44, the rear-view mirror image 46, and the right-side mirror image 48 are arranged at substantially the same height. Thus, the driver D can check the left-side mirror image 42, the instrument image 44, the rear-view mirror image 46, and the right-side mirror image 48 with minimal visual movement in the horizontal direction. Therefore, the burden of visual movement of the driver D can be reduced.

[0086] Furthermore, according to the vehicle 10 of the present embodiment, the driver D can keep his sight directed toward the front of the vehicle and observe the left side mirror image 42 projecting the left rear of the vehicle 10, the right side mirror image 48 projecting the right rear of the vehicle 10, and the rearview mirror image 46 projecting the rear of the vehicle 10. Therefore, the driver D can visually check the rear of the vehicle 10 widely while keeping his sight directed toward the front of the vehicle.

[0087] Furthermore, the left-side mirror image 42, the instrument image 44, the rear-view mirror image 46, and the right-side mirror image 48 are displayed in this order from the left side of the vehicle toward the right side. Since this arrangement is the same order as the left-side side mirror, the instrument, the rear-view mirror (interior mirror), and the right-side mirror in a conventional vehicle, the driver D can recognize each display without feeling any discomfort.

[0088] Furthermore, according to the vehicle 10 involved in the present embodiment, when viewed from the driver D, the meter image 44, the rearview mirror image 46, and the right-side mirror image 48 are displayed in a staged depth order from the front side of the vehicle toward the rear side of the vehicle. Therefore, it is possible to easily distinguish between the meter image 44 and the rearview mirror image 46, and between the rearview mirror image 46 and the right-side mirror image 48.

[0089] Furthermore, according to the vehicle 10 involved in this embodiment, as Figure 3 As shown, the light of the instrument image 44 emitted from the instrument display 64 is reflected by the first instrument image reflecting surface 66 and the second instrument image reflecting surface 68. Then, a virtual image is formed closer to the front side of the vehicle than the second instrument image reflecting surface 68 that finally reflects the light of the instrument image 44, so that the instrument image 44 is displayed.

[0090] In addition, if Figure 4 As shown, the light of the rearview mirror image 46 emitted from the rearview display 72 is reflected by the rearview mirror image reflecting surface 74. Then, a virtual image is formed at a position closer to the front side of the vehicle than the rearview mirror image reflecting surface and offset to the rear side of the vehicle with respect to the instrument image 44, so that the rearview mirror image 46 is displayed.

[0091] Similarly, the light of the left-side mirror image 42 emitted from the left-side viewing display 76 is reflected by the left-side mirror image reflecting surface 78, and a virtual image is formed, thereby displaying the left-side mirror image 42. In addition, similarly, the light of the right-side mirror image 48 emitted from the right-side viewing display 80 is reflected by the right-side mirror image reflecting surface 82, and a virtual image is formed, thereby displaying the right-side mirror image 48.

[0092] Therefore, compared with a case where a display directly visually confirmed by the driver D is arranged on the lower side of the engine hood or the front panel, the design freedom within the power unit chamber 16 will be improved because the instrument display device 50, the rearview mirror display device 56, the left-side mirror display device 52 and the right-side mirror display device 54 can be arranged on the rear side of the vehicle.

[0093] Furthermore, according to the vehicle 10 involved in the present embodiment, the meter display device 50, the rearview mirror display device 56, the left-side mirror display device 52, and the right-side mirror display device 54 are all stored in the storage portion 22A at the lower side of the upper panel 34 of the instrument panel 22. Therefore, the meter display device 50, the rearview mirror display device 56, the left-side mirror display device 52, and the right-side mirror display device 54 are not easily affected by sunlight or other light from outside the vehicle 10. As a result, the visual confirmation of the meter image 44, the rearview mirror image 46, the left-side mirror image 42, and the right-side mirror image 48 is improved.

[0094] In particular, the visual confirmation mirror 62 directly observed by the driver D is installed on the surface of the lower plate portion 34B of the upper panel 34 on the lower side of the vehicle. Therefore, the visual confirmation of the instrument image 44, the rearview mirror image 46, the left mirror image 42, and the right mirror image 48 projected on the visual confirmation mirror 62 can be further improved.

[0095] In addition, according to the vehicle 10 involved in the present embodiment, the driving-related image 58 is displayed in a manner overlapping with the foreground of the vehicle 10 observed by the driver D through the windshield 24 through the HUD device 60. Therefore, the driver D can visually confirm the driving-related image 58 without almost moving his sight away from the foreground of the vehicle 10. Here, the instrument image 44, the rearview mirror image 46, the left-side mirror image 42, and the right-side mirror image 48 are displayed on the lower side of the engine hood 18, that is, at a position away from the driver's seat toward the front side of the vehicle. Therefore, compared with the instrument, rearview mirror (interior mirror), and left and right side mirrors in the previous vehicle, the difference in focal distance between the foreground of the vehicle 10 or the driving-related image 58 and each display is reduced. As a result, the distance of focus movement and the adjustment time for visually confirming the instrument image 44, the rearview mirror image 46, the left-side mirror image 42, and the right-side mirror image 48 by moving the sight from the foreground of the vehicle 10 or the driving-related image 58 are shortened. Therefore, the burden of the driver D's visual line movement can be further reduced.

[0096] Furthermore, according to the vehicle 10 involved in this embodiment, as Figure 2As shown, the second meter image reflecting surface 68, the rearview mirror image reflecting surface 74, the left mirror image reflecting surface 78, and the right mirror image reflecting surface 82 are all located on the surface of the visual confirmation mirror 62, which is a concave mirror, on the vehicle rear side. Therefore, compared with the case where the meter display device, the rearview mirror display device, the left mirror display device, and the right mirror display device are each provided with a separate reflecting mirror, the meter image 44, the rearview mirror image 46, the left mirror image 42, and the right mirror image 48 can be displayed with a simple structure. In addition, since the visual confirmation mirror 62 is arranged at a position visible from the inside of the vehicle compartment 12, it is configured as a concave mirror, so that the appearance design when various images are not displayed can be improved.

[0097] [Supplementary explanation of the above-mentioned embodiment]

[0098] Although the above embodiment describes a configuration in which the rearview mirror image 4, the left-side mirror image 42, and the right-side mirror image 48 are displayed at positions offset to the rear of the vehicle relative to the meter image 44, the present invention is not limited thereto. For example, the camera image may be displayed at a position offset to the front of the vehicle relative to the meter image. Figure 3 as well as Figure 4 The display positions of the meter image 44 and the rearview mirror image 46 are shown as examples, and are not limited to these positions. For example, the meter image and each camera image may be displayed on the lower side of the dash panel 32 .

[0099] In addition, although in the above-mentioned embodiment, the structure in which the instrument image 44, the rearview mirror image 46, the left-side mirror image 42 and the right-side mirror image 48 are arranged at approximately the same height when observed from the rear side of the vehicle is described, it is not limited to this. It is sufficient as long as the upper end of each camera image is located at a height above the center of the instrument image in the vertical direction of the vehicle, and the lower end of each camera image is located at a height below the center of the instrument image in the vertical direction of the vehicle.

[0100] Furthermore, although the above embodiment is described as a structure in which the rearview mirror image 46 is displayed by the rearview mirror display device 56, the left-side mirror image 42 is displayed by the left-side mirror display device 52, and the right-side mirror image 48 is displayed by the right-side mirror display device 54, the camera image obtained by photographing the peripheral field of view of the vehicle is not limited to the electronic mirror image. For example, the camera image may be an image obtained by photographing the front of the vehicle, an image obtained by photographing the rear of the vehicle, an image obtained by photographing the front corner or rear corner of the vehicle, or an image obtained by photographing the side of the vehicle.

[0101] Furthermore, although in the above-mentioned embodiment, the left-side mirror image 42, the instrument image 44, the rear-view mirror image 46, and the right-side mirror image 48 are sequentially arranged from the driver's seat side toward the passenger seat side, the order of arrangement is not limited to this. In addition, the displayed camera images are not limited to three, as long as at least one is sufficient.

[0102] Furthermore, in the above embodiment, the instrument image 44 is displayed on the instrument display 64, the rearview mirror image 46 is displayed on the rearview display 72, the left-side mirror image 42 is displayed on the left-side display 76, and the right-side mirror image 48 is displayed on the right-side display 80, but the present invention is not limited thereto. For example, the instrument image light emitting unit and the camera image light emitting unit may be projectors that emit light for projecting images.

[0103] In addition, although in the above-mentioned embodiment, the structure in which the light of the instrument image 44 displayed on the instrument display 64 is reflected twice by the first instrument image reflecting surface 66 and the second instrument image reflecting surface 68 is described, the number of reflections is not limited to this. Moreover, although the structure in which the light of the rearview mirror image 46 displayed on the rearview display 72, the light of the left-side mirror image 42 displayed on the left-side display 76, and the light of the right-side mirror image 48 displayed on the right-side display 80 are each reflected once by the visual confirmation mirror 62 is described, it is not limited to this, and each may be reflected multiple times. That is, the number of reflections of light in each display device is not limited to the above-mentioned embodiment. In addition, the instrument image and the camera image are not limited to being reflected by a mirror, and may also be reflected by other reflective materials. For example, it is also possible to use Figure 5 The structure of a vehicle 90 according to a first modified example is shown.

[0104] Furthermore, although the above-mentioned embodiment is described as a structure in which the driver D visually confirms the image formed, it is not limited to this. Figure 6 The structure of vehicle 100 according to the second modified example is shown.

[0105] Furthermore, although in the above-mentioned embodiment, Figure 2 As shown in the figure, the second meter image reflection surface 68, the rearview mirror image reflection surface 74, the left mirror image reflection surface 78 and the right mirror image reflection surface 82 are all located on the surface of the visual confirmation mirror 62 as a concave mirror on the rear side of the vehicle, but it is not limited to this. For example, it is also possible to adopt Figure 7The structure of the vehicle 110 according to the third modification example shown in FIG. Fig. 9 as well as Fig.10 The structure of a vehicle 140 according to a fourth modification example is shown.

[0106] In the following modifications, the same reference numerals are used for the same structures as those in the above-described embodiment, and the description thereof will be appropriately omitted.

[0107] (First Modification Example)

[0108] like Figure 5 As shown, a reflective film 92 as a reflective material is attached to the rear side surface of the vehicle at the lower end 24B of the windshield 24 of the vehicle 90. The reflective film 92 is arranged on the engine hood 18 (see Figure 3 ) and a reflecting surface 92A is provided at the lower side of the vehicle and at the rear side of the vehicle. The reflecting surface 92A is equivalent to the instrument image reflecting surface and the camera image reflecting surface in the present disclosure.

[0109] The vehicle 90 is equipped with an instrument display 94 for displaying the instrument image 44, a rearview mirror display 96 for displaying the rearview mirror image 46, a driver's seat side side mirror display 98 (hereinafter referred to as "left side mirror display 98") for displaying the left side mirror image 42, and a right side mirror display 98 (hereinafter referred to as "right side mirror display 98") for displaying the right side mirror image 48. Figure 1 The instrument display 94 and the reflective surface 92A are equivalent to the instrument display device in the present disclosure, the rearview mirror display 96 and the reflective surface 92A are equivalent to the rearview mirror display device in the present disclosure, the left view display 98 and the reflective surface 92A are equivalent to the driver's side mirror display device in the present disclosure, and the right view display (omitted from the illustration) and the reflective surface 92A are equivalent to the passenger side mirror display device in the present disclosure.

[0110] The meter display 94 is arranged on the lower side of the vehicle and the front side of the vehicle compared to the rearview mirror display 96. In addition, the left-side view display 98 and the right-side view mirror display (not shown) are arranged on the upper side of the vehicle and the rear side of the vehicle compared to the rearview mirror display 96. That is, the meter display 94, the rearview mirror display 96, and the left-side view display 98 are arranged in this order to approach the reflective film 92. Although not shown in the figure, an opening portion for passing each light emitted from the meter display 94, the rearview mirror display 96, the left-side view display 98, and the right-side view mirror display (not shown) is formed on the dashboard of the vehicle 90.

[0111] The lights of the respective images emitted from the meter display 94, the rearview mirror display 96, the left view display 98, and the right view mirror display (not shown) are reflected toward the rear side of the vehicle by the reflective film 92 and reach the driver D. Thus, the light of the respective images emitted from the meter display 94, the rearview mirror display 96, the left view display 98, and the right view mirror display (not shown) are reflected toward the rear side of the vehicle by the reflective film 92 and reach the driver D. Figure 3 ) are displayed as virtual images at the lower side of the vehicle, respectively, an instrument image 44, a rearview mirror image 46, a left-side mirror image 42, and a right-side mirror image 48 (refer to Figure 1 ). The configurations of the instrument image 44, the rearview mirror image 46, the left-side mirror image 42, and the right-side mirror image 48 are the same as those in the above-mentioned embodiment, and thus the description thereof will be omitted.

[0112] (Second Modification Example)

[0113] like Figure 6 As shown, the vehicle 100 according to the second modification example includes a display device for the instrument image 44 (see Figure 1 ) directly displays the instrument display device 102, as a rearview mirror image 46 (refer to Figure 1 ) is directly displayed on the rearview mirror display device 104, as a left-side mirror image 42 (reference Figure 1 ) is directly displayed on the left side mirror display device of the driver's seat side, and the right side mirror image 48 (refer to Figure 1 ) is displayed on the right side view display (not shown) of the passenger side side mirror display device.

[0114] The instrument panel 108 (hereinafter referred to as the "instrument panel 108") includes an upper panel 34, a main panel 36, and a recess 109 that connects the upper panel 34 and the main panel 36 in the vehicle front-rear direction. The recess 109 is formed similar to the recess 38 of the above-mentioned embodiment (see FIG. Figure 3 as well as Figure 4 ) is shallower than the front wall 110A (i.e., the dimension in the general vehicle vertical direction is smaller). The recessed portion 109 is formed into a generally U-shape when viewed in side section, and is configured to include a front wall portion 110A, a rear wall portion 110B, and a bottom portion 110C connecting the front wall portion 110A and the rear wall portion 110B.

[0115] The HUD device 60 is installed at a corner between the bottom 110C and the rear wall 110B at a position that cannot be visually confirmed from the driver D sitting in the driver's seat. The left-side view display 106, the instrument display 102, the rear-view display 104, and the right-side view display (not shown) are arranged in this order from the driver's seat side to the passenger seat side, and are respectively installed on the front wall 110A. The rear-view display 104 is arranged in a manner offset to the rear side of the vehicle relative to the instrument display 102. In addition, the left-side view display 106 and the right-side view display (not shown) are arranged in a manner further offset to the rear side of the vehicle relative to the rear-view display 104.

[0116] In the vehicle 100 involved in this modification example, the instrument display 102, the rear-view display 104, the left-view display 106, and the right-view display (not shown) are arranged at positions that can be directly visually confirmed from the driver D sitting on the driver's seat. Therefore, compared with a structure that uses a reflective material to reflect light, it is possible to easily distinguish between the instrument image and the camera image with a simpler structure, and the burden of the user's line of sight movement can be reduced. In addition, since the instrument display 102, the rear-view display 104, the left-view display 106, and the right-view display (not shown) are arranged on the lower side of the lower plate portion 34B of the upper panel 34 of the instrument panel 108, the instrument image 44, the rear-view mirror image 46, the left-view mirror image 42, and the right-view mirror image 48 (see Figure 1 ) is not easily affected by light from outside the vehicle 100, such as sunlight, thereby providing excellent visual confirmation.

[0117] (Third Modification Example)

[0118] like Figure 7 As shown, the vehicle 110 involved in the third modification example is constructed to include an instrument display device 112 for displaying an instrument image 44, a rearview mirror display device 114 for displaying a rearview mirror image 46, a left-side mirror display device 116 for displaying a left-side mirror image 42, and a right-side mirror display device 118 for displaying a right-side mirror image 48.

[0119] In this modified example, the instrument display device 112 includes an instrument display 64, an instrument mirror 70 (hereinafter referred to as "first instrument mirror 70") having a first instrument image reflecting surface 66, and a second instrument mirror 122 having a second instrument image reflecting surface 120 as a second instrument image reflecting surface.

[0120] Furthermore, the rearview mirror display device 114 includes the rearview mirror monitor 72 and a rearview mirror 126 having a rearview mirror image reflecting surface 124 as a camera image reflecting surface.

[0121] Furthermore, the left side mirror display device 116 includes the left side view monitor 76 and a left side mirror 130 having a left side mirror image reflecting surface 128 as a camera image reflecting surface.

[0122] Furthermore, the right-side mirror display device 118 includes a right-side view monitor 80 and a right-side mirror 134 having a right-side mirror image reflecting surface 132 as a camera image reflecting surface.

[0123] like Figure 8 As shown, the second instrument mirror 122 , the rearview mirror 126 , the left side mirror 130 , and the right side mirror 134 are all arranged at positions where they can be seen from the driver D sitting on the driver's seat.

[0124] Here, the rearview mirror 126 is arranged in a manner offset toward the rear side of the vehicle relative to the second instrument mirror 122. In addition, the left-side mirror 130 and the right-side mirror 134 are arranged in a manner offset further toward the rear side of the vehicle than the rearview mirror 126. The left-side mirror 130 and the right-side mirror 134 are arranged at substantially the same position when observing the side of the vehicle.

[0125] According to the vehicle 110 involved in this modification, Figure 7 As shown, by disposing the rearview mirror 126 offset with respect to the second instrument mirror 122, the difference between the optical path of the instrument image 44 from the instrument display 64 to the second instrument image reflecting surface 120 and the optical path of the rearview mirror image 46 from the rearview mirror display 72 to the rearview mirror image reflecting surface 124 can be increased compared with the above-mentioned embodiment. In addition, by disposing the right-side mirror 134 offset with respect to the rearview mirror 126, the difference between the optical path of the rearview mirror image 46 from the rearview mirror display 72 to the rearview mirror image reflecting surface 124 and the optical path between the right-side mirror display 80 and the right-side mirror image 48 of the right-side mirror image reflecting surface 132 can be increased compared with the above-mentioned embodiment. Therefore, even if the display arrangement is the same as that of the above-mentioned embodiment, the difference in depth of each image when observed from the driver D is further increased. As a result, the driver D can more easily distinguish each image.

[0126] In addition, according to the vehicle 110 involved in this modification, as Figure 8As shown, since each mirror is independent, the boundary between the left side mirror 130 and the second instrument mirror 122, the boundary between the second instrument mirror 122 and the rearview mirror 126, and the boundary between the rearview mirror 126 and the right side mirror 134 are clearly defined. Therefore, the driver D can more easily distinguish each image compared to the above embodiment.

[0127] (Fourth Modification Example)

[0128] like Fig. 9 As shown, the vehicle 140 involved in the fourth modified example is configured to include an instrument display device 112 that displays an instrument image 44, a rearview mirror display device 142 that displays a rearview mirror image 46, a left-side mirror display device 116 that displays a left-side mirror image 42, and a right-side mirror display device 144 that displays a right-side mirror image 48. In addition, in this modified example, the same reference numerals are attached to the same structures as those in the third modified example, and their descriptions are appropriately omitted.

[0129] like Fig.10 As shown in FIG. 1 , a center mirror 146 is provided at the center portion in the vehicle width direction. Fig. 9 As shown, the center mirror 146 is disposed so as to be offset toward the vehicle rear side with respect to the second instrument mirror 122. The center mirror 146 is disposed at substantially the same position as the left side mirror 130 when viewing the vehicle from the side.

[0130] The rearview mirror display device 142 includes a rearview mirror monitor 72 and a center mirror 146 having a rearview mirror image reflection surface 148 as a camera image reflection surface. In addition, the right-side mirror display device 118 includes a right-side view monitor 80 and a center mirror 146 having a right-side mirror image reflection surface 150 as a camera image reflection surface. That is, the center mirror 146 is provided as a common mirror for forming the rearview mirror image 46 and the right-side mirror image 48 as virtual images. Fig.10 As shown, the center mirror 146 is arranged at a position visible from the driver D sitting on the driver's seat.

[0131] According to the vehicle 140 involved in this modification, the left-side mirror 130 and the center mirror 146 are respectively arranged in a manner offset to the rear side of the vehicle relative to the second instrument mirror 122. As a result, the boundary between the left-side mirror 130 and the second instrument mirror 122, and the boundary between the second instrument mirror 122 and the center mirror 146 are respectively clear. In addition, the left-side mirror 130 and the center mirror 146 are set at approximately the same depth when observed from the driver D. As a result, the driver D can intuitively distinguish the left-side mirror image 42, the rearview mirror image 46, the right-side mirror image 48, and the instrument image 44, which are information about the periphery of the vehicle. As a result, the peripheral field of view of the vehicle can be intuitively recognized. In addition, although the present modification example is described as a structure in which the rearview mirror image 46 is projected on the center mirror 146 through the rearview mirror display 72, and the right-side mirror image 48 is projected on the center mirror 146 through the right-side mirror display 80, the present modification example is not limited thereto, and light including the rearview mirror image 46 and the right-side mirror image 48 may be emitted from a common display. In addition, the center mirror 146 may be divided into two. That is, the rearview mirror and the right-side mirror may be configured as separate bodies and arranged at the same depth.

[0132] In addition, although the above-mentioned embodiment, the first modification and the fourth modification are described as the structure in which each display is offset, it is not limited to this. For example, it is also possible to set the display to be arranged at the same position when the vehicle is viewed from the side, and each mirror is offset as in the fourth modification.

[0133] The following supplementary notes are further disclosed with respect to the above-mentioned embodiment.

[0134] (Note 1)
