AI Technical Summary
When existing transportation systems use closed-loop toothed belts for product transportation, the support element is prone to insertion problems of sliding block elements during the conversion of curved and linear parts, resulting in impact, stress and adhesion, affecting the support element and toothed belt. Stable coupling may cause the fixing element to break or loose and generate noise.
Adopting the rail system, including the first continuous upper upper rail channel and the second continuous downward rail channel, the sliding and rotation of the sliding element in the guide channel can be kept in the stability of the fixed component, and the contact wall and guide rail ditch of the sliding component are through the sliding component. The edge of the road keeps contact with continuous contact to ensure that the start of the tooth strap is smooth and stable.
Effectively maintain the stability and cantilever orientation of the support element on the tooth zone, avoid impact, stress and adhesion problems, ensure the continuous start and high -speed operation of the tooth strap, and reduce the risk of noise.

Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] The present invention relates to the particular technical field of product transport systems using a closed loop conveyor such as, for example, a toothed belt wound in a closed loop on opposing drive pulleys having vertical axes.
[0002] The transport system is used to transport the products while keeping them substantially at a constant height above the ground and in a looped path along which are located various workstations entrusted with performing specific operations or processing on the products.
[0003] This particular type of transport system is used, for example, in particular when transporting tubes that are open at opposite ends, which tubes must be kept in a vertical position with the open end facing upwards always positioned at the same height, and which tubes must always be transported at successive workstations designed to carry out their filling, closing and possibly their marking, etc. Background Art
[0004] Thus, known transport systems of this type comprise a toothed belt wound in a closed loop on opposing drive pulleys arranged with vertical opposing axes, and a series of supporting elements for the product coupled in a cantilevered manner to and constrained by the toothed belt.
[0005] The support element is constructed in such a way as to comprise a housing or a suitable base for receiving and supporting the products to be transported to the successive workstations by activating the toothed belt in a continuous mode or in a stepping mode (alternating mode).
[0006] The supporting element is coupled to the toothed belt at a through hole, realized on the toothed belt and is restrained by means of a corresponding fixing element which is arranged at a through hole on the inner side of the toothed belt, ie the side with the toothing for engagement with the drive pulley.
[0007] During activation of the toothed belt, due to the weight of the product carried thereby and the speed at which the toothed belt can be activated, the supporting elements are subject to buckling stresses which may impair the stability of the product and affect its effective orientation.
[0008] For example, in the case of a product consisting of a tube, the tube cannot be held in the correct vertical configuration and this situation may impair the filling and closing operations.
[0009] Now, in order to avoid these disadvantages, in known transport systems a slide block element, also called a shuttle, is associated with a fixed element of the support element and a corresponding linear guide is associated with the toothed belt at a relatively straight portion, which guide can slidably accommodate the slide block element therein.
[0010] In this way, when the support element moves along the two straight sections of the toothed belt where the workstation is usually located, the support element is stabilized to a certain extent in its cantilevered position relative to the toothed belt due to the sliding block element sliding inside the linear sliding guides.
[0011] However, this type of transport system has several disadvantages.
[0012] In fact, problems related to the correct insertion of the slide block element inside the linear guide may arise at its passage from the curved portion of the belt to the straight portion of the belt and vice versa.
[0013] This can lead to impacts and the onset of stresses on the sliding block element, which affect the fixing element and thus the stability of the coupling of the supporting element to the toothed belt, or can even lead to sticking which jeopardizes the continued start-up of the toothed belt.
[0014] As a result, the fixing element may break, or there may be looseness in the coupling of the supporting element to the toothed belt.
[0015] Furthermore, any eventual impact may produce unpleasant noise levels. Summary of the invention
[0016] The aim of the present invention is therefore to describe a new transport system for transporting products by means of a toothed belt wound in a closed loop with a vertical activation axis and which avoids the above-listed drawbacks present in the prior art.
[0017] In particular, the purpose of the invention is to describe a new type of transport system making it possible to maintain the immobilization and stability of the supporting elements of the products on the belt, guaranteeing their orientation both in the straight and in the curved parts of the toothed belt.
[0018] According to the content of the claims, the advantages mentioned above are achieved. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0030] With reference to the accompanying drawings, reference numeral (100) indicates a product transport system which is the object of the present invention and which is in its entirety in a closed loop transport path.
[0031] The transport system (100) comprises: a toothed belt (D) wound into a closed loop on a drive pulley (P) arranged with a vertical rotation axis (Z), and a series of support elements (S) connected to the toothed belt (D) in a cantilever manner and configured to support corresponding products.
[0032] The supporting element (S) may for example be configured in such a way as to comprise a positioning seat for vertically positioning the tube to be filled and then closed, or may be made in a different way depending on the type of product to be transported.
[0033] The support element (S) is connected to the toothed belt (D) in a cantilever manner at the position of a through hole (F) made in the toothed belt (D), and the transport system (100) also includes a series of fixing elements (1), which are configured to be arranged internally relative to the toothed belt (D) at the through hole (F) for fixing the support element (S) to the toothed belt (D) in a cantilever manner.
[0034] The transport system (100) also comprises a rail system (10) for guiding the fixed element (1) during activation of the toothed belt (D), the purpose of which is to keep the supporting element (S) stable in its cantilever position on the toothed belt (D) and thus to keep the product supported thereby stable during its transport.
[0035] The transport system (100) of the invention is characterized by the way in which the guide rail system (10) of the fixed element (1) is realized and configured.
[0036] The guide rail system (10) includes (for example, see Figure 3 , Figure 8 and Fig. 9 ):
[0037] a first continuous upper guideway channel (11) which is constructed in such a way as to present a respective first outer edge (12) and a respective first inner edge (13) and which extends inside the closed loop of the toothed belt (D) according to the closed loop path (C) and comprises a straight portion (C1) arranged at the straight branch (D1) of the toothed belt (D) and a curved portion (C2) connected to the straight portion (C1) at the curved branch (D2) of the toothed belt (D),
[0038] and a second continuous lower guideway channel (21) constructed in such a way as to present a respective second outer edge (22) and a respective second inner edge (23), and extending inside the closed loop of the toothed belt (D) according to the closed loop path (E) and comprising a straight portion (E1) arranged at a straight branch (D1) of the toothed belt (D) and a curved portion (E2) connected to the straight portion (E1) at a curved branch (D2) of the toothed belt (D).
[0039] Furthermore, for each fixing element (1) (e.g. Figure 3 , Figure 4 , Figure 5 and Figure 6 ), the guide rail system (10) further comprises at least one first sliding element (31, 32) and at least one second sliding element (41, 42).
[0040] At least one first sliding element (31, 32) is arranged above the fixed element (1) and is configured to be able to slide inside the first continuous upper guide channel (11) between the first outer edge (12) and the first inner edge (13) (for example, see Fig. 9 )
[0041] In this regard, at least one first sliding element (31, 32) is constructed in such a way as to include a corresponding first contact wall (310, 320) for contacting a first outer edge (12) of the first continuous upper guide rail channel (11) and a corresponding second contact wall (311, 321) for contacting a first inner edge (13) of the first continuous upper guide rail channel (11).
[0042] Furthermore, at least one first sliding element (31, 32) is coupled to the fixing element (1) at the top in such a way that:
[0043] so as to be rotatable relative to the fixed element (1) about a vertical axis parallel to the vertical axis of rotation (Z) of the drive pulley (P) of the toothed belt (D),
[0044] It is also capable of axial translation relative to the fixing element (1) along a translation direction (DT) perpendicular to the vertical axis.
[0045] In this way, during the start-up of the toothed belt (D), the at least one first sliding element (31, 32) can change its orientation and position relative to the fixed element (1) due to its passage from the straight section (C1) to the curved section (C2) and from the curved section (C2) to the straight section (C1) of the first continuous upper guideway channel (11), and thus adjust its orientation within the first continuous upper guideway channel (11) in such a way that the at least one first sliding element between the respective first contact wall (310, 320) and the respective second contact wall (311, 321) is always in contact with the first outer edge (12) or the first inner edge (13) of the first continuous upper guideway channel (11) (see, for example, Figure 7 and Fig. 9 )touch.
[0046] Then at least one second sliding element (41, 42) is arranged below the fixed element (1) and is configured to be able to slide inside the second continuous lower guide channel (21) at the second outer edge (22) and the second inner edge (23) (see, for example, Fig. 9 )
[0047] To this end, at least one second sliding element (41, 42) is constructed in such a way as to include a corresponding first contact wall (410, 420) for contacting the second outer edge (22) of the second continuous lower guide channel (21) and a corresponding second contact wall (411, 421) for contacting the second inner edge (23) of the second continuous lower guide channel (21).
[0048] Furthermore, with respect to the at least one first sliding element (31, 32), at least one second sliding element (41, 42) is coupled to the fixing element (1) below in such a manner that:
[0049] so as to be rotatable relative to the fixed element (1) about a vertical axis parallel to the vertical axis of rotation (Z) of the drive pulley (P) of the toothed belt (D),
[0050] It can also be arranged in such a way that it can be axially translated relative to the fixed element (1) along a translation direction (DT) perpendicular to the vertical axis, so that during the start-up of the toothed belt (D), at least one second sliding element (41, 42) can change its orientation and position relative to the fixed element (1) due to its passage from the straight portion (E1) to the curved portion (E2) and from the curved portion (E2) to the straight portion (E1) of the second continuous lower guide rail channel (21), and thus adjust its orientation within the second continuous lower guide rail channel (21) in such a way that at least one second sliding element between the corresponding first contact wall (410, 420) and the corresponding second contact wall (411, 421) is always in contact with the second outer edge (22) or the second inner edge (23) of the second continuous lower guide rail channel (21), respectively.
[0051] Therefore, due to the presence of the second continuous guide channel and due to the fact that both the at least one first sliding element and the at least one second sliding element can slide inside the first continuous upper guide channel and the second continuous lower guide channel, respectively, and can rotate relative to the corresponding fixed element around a vertical axis parallel to the rotation axis of the drive pulley (P) of the toothed belt, and translate along a translation direction perpendicular to its vertical axis of rotation, and can change its orientation and its position inside the guide channel while constantly maintaining contact with the edge of the guide channel, at least with one of its corresponding walls.
[0052] This makes it possible to keep the fixing element stable during the movement imparted by the activation of the toothed belt and then therefore the position and cantilevered orientation of the supporting element fixed by the fixing element to the toothed belt and therefore the product supported thereby.
[0053] Furthermore, since constant contact is always ensured between at least one wall of at least one first sliding element and at least one wall of at least one second sliding element and at least one of the two edges of the two continuous guide rail channels, in particular in its passage pointing from the straight portion to the curved portion and from the curved portion to the straight portion, the activation of the toothed belt will be fluid and continuous, without noise or risk of sticking, and further activation is possible even at high speeds.
[0054] Further advantageous properties of the transport system of the invention are described below.
[0055] In the accompanying drawings (for example, Figure 4 , Figure 5 and Figure 6 ), each fixing element (1) comprises a body (5) which is constructed in such a way as to comprise a first front wall (51) and a second rear wall (52), wherein the first front wall (51) comprises a respective fixing hole (53) and is constructed in such a way as to be internally coupled to the toothed portion of the toothed belt (D) in such a way that the respective fixing hole (53) is positioned at a through hole (F) present in the toothed belt (D) for the respective blocking member (see Figure 3 and Figure 7 )Fix the support element (S) to the toothed belt (D).
[0056] Furthermore, the body (5) of each fixing element (1) is constructed in such a way as to comprise a positioning housing (54, 55) between the first front wall (51) and the second rear wall (52).
[0057] In this regard, the guide rail system (10) comprises, for each fixed element (1), a carrier element (6) for at least one first sliding element (31, 32) and for at least one second sliding element (41, 42), which carrier element is constructed in such a way that it can be inserted and coupled in a translationally movable manner in a positioning housing (54, 55) of the fixed element (1) so as to be able to be axially translated (D) between a first front wall (51) and a second rear wall (52) of the fixed element (1) according to a translation direction (DT). Figure 4 , Figure 5 and Figure 6 ).
[0058] Furthermore, at least one first sliding element (31, 32) is rotatably mounted above the supporting element (6) around a corresponding vertical pin (Z1, Z2) parallel to the vertical rotation axis (Z) of the pulley (P), and at least one second sliding element (41, 42) is rotatably mounted below the supporting element (6) around a corresponding vertical pin (Z3, Z4) parallel to the vertical rotation axis (Z) of the pulley (P).
[0059] According to the attached drawings (again, see Figure 4 , Figure 5 and Figure 6 ), for each fixing element (1), a carrying element (6) is inserted into a positioning housing (54, 55) of the fixing element (1) and is slidably mounted on at least one corresponding pin (P1, P2), which is axially arranged to span the positioning housing (54, 55) between the first front wall (51) and the second rear wall (52) of the body (5) of the fixing element (1).
[0060] Again according to a preferred but not exclusive embodiment shown in the accompanying drawings, the body (5) of each fixing element (1) is H-shaped in such a way as to define two positioning housings (54, 55) between a first front wall (51) and a second rear wall (52), while the carrier element (6) is U-shaped, wherein the two arms (61, 62) of the U-shape are respectively positioned in the two positioning housings (54, 55) (again, see in particular Figure 4 , Figure 5 and Figure 6 ).
[0061] In the preferred embodiment shown, the guide rail system (10) is implemented in such a way as to include: a pair (31, 32) of first sliding elements (31, 32), which are mounted to be rotatable around corresponding two vertical pins (Z1, Z2) carried above the supporting element (6) and are arranged bilaterally and equidistantly to the axial plane (M) of the main body (5) of the fixed element (1); and a pair (41, 42) of second sliding elements (41, 42), which are mounted to be rotatable around corresponding two vertical pins (Z3, Z4) carried below the supporting element (6) and are arranged bilaterally and equidistantly to the axial plane (M) of the main body (5) of the fixed element (1).
[0062] The first contact wall (310, 320) of at least one first sliding element (31, 32) for contacting the first outer edge (12) of the first continuous upper guide channel (11) is preferably constructed in such a way as to have a curved profile, and wherein the first contact wall (410, 420) of at least one second sliding element (41, 42) for contacting the second outer edge (23) of the second continuous lower guide channel (21) is constructed in such a way as to have a curved profile.
[0063] In this way, at least one contact point between the at least one first sliding element and the outer edge of the first continuous upper guide rail channel, and between the at least one second sliding element and the outer edge of the second continuous lower guide rail channel is ensured.
[0064] For example, schematically, Fig.10 Schematically shows the position assumed by a pair of first sliding elements (31, 32) mounted on support elements coupled to respective fixing elements relative to the curved portion of a first continuous upper guideway channel (11) during starting of a toothed belt.
[0065] Relative to the fixed element connected to the toothed belt, the first sliding elements (31, 32) are capable of rotating around a vertical axis and translating along a translation direction perpendicular to the vertical axis, so that their orientation and position within the first continuous guide channel can be continuously changed in such a way that there are always at least two corresponding contact points between the corresponding outer walls (310, 320) and the outer edge (13) of the first continuous upper guide channel (11).
[0066] In this way, the axial axis (M) of the fixed element will always be radial to the vertical rotation axis of the pulley and furthermore, the chord defined between the contact points of the two sliding elements will be perpendicular to the axial axis (M) of the fixed element.
[0067] In a further preferred aspect, the guide rail system (100) comprises at least one pair of linear abutment walls (71, 72) which are arranged inside the toothed belt and facing the linear branch (D1) of the toothed belt (D), and which constitute a linear abutment guide for the second wall (52) of the fixing element (1) during movement of the fixing element along the linear branch (D1) of the toothed belt (D).
[0068] In a further advantageous aspect, the first wall (51) of each fixing element (1) is constructed in such a way as to include at least one protrusion (510) having a suitable shape for insertion into the space present between consecutive teeth of the toothed portion of the toothed belt (D), and wherein the fixing hole (53) of each fixing element (1) is made at the at least one protrusion (510).
[0069] The transport system (100) also includes: a first upper covering element (81), which is mounted to the toothed belt (D) at the top and is constructed in such a way that a groove defining a first continuous upper guide rail channel (11) is present in a closed loop in the relative lower surface; and a second lower covering element (82), which is mounted to the toothed belt (D) at the bottom and is constructed in such a way that a groove defining a second continuous lower guide rail channel (21) is present in a closed loop in the relative upper surface.
