Background Art

[0003] Conventionally, a cover opening and closing device, particularly a cover opening and closing device for a manuscript pressing plate of a business machine such as a copier, is known, for example, a cover opening and closing device described in the patent publication of Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 2013-97363, which comprises the following components: a mounting component having a mounting base mounted on a device body side and two side plates erected from the mounting base; a supporting component having a back plate and two side plates folded from the back plate, and the two side plates are rotatably pivoted to the two side plates of the mounting component through a first connecting member; and a lifting component having a back plate and two side plates folded from the back plate. Side plates and a mounting base for the manuscript pressing plate folded from the side plates, the side plates being pivotally connected to the free ends of the side plates of the supporting member through a second connecting member so as to be rotatable in a direction different from that of the supporting member; an actuating member arranged at a position to rotate as the lifting member rotates around the second connecting member; a pressure member arranged between the two side plates of the mounting member; an elastic member elastically arranged between the pressure member and the actuating member so as to push the lifting member in a direction overlapping with the supporting member and at the same time push the supporting member in the direction of opening the manuscript pressing plate. In addition, a business machine using this cover opening and closing device is well known. This type is now widely popular, and is now used in almost all business machines such as copiers.

[0004] In the known cover opening and closing device constructed as described above and the business machine using the cover opening and closing device, as shown in FIG. Fig.13 As shown, since the support member (B) or the lifting member (C) of the cover opening and closing device (A) is installed on the lower side of the rear end of the cover (D), a corresponding installation width TS needs to be reserved on the rear side of the cover (D). As a result, the depth width of the cover (D) becomes longer, and the depth of the device body (E) also becomes longer accordingly. In recent years, miniaturization has become an important issue in various machines such as copiers and multifunction machines. Summary of the invention

[0005] The object of the present invention is to provide a cover opening and closing device that can reduce the depth and width of a cover (original pressing plate) and can miniaturize various machines such as a copying machine or a multifunction machine using the cover opening and closing device, and various machines using the cover opening and closing device. In addition, since the field of use of the cover opening and closing device of the present invention is not limited to office machines such as a copying machine or a multifunction machine, the original pressing plate is referred to as a cover, the office machines are referred to as various machines, and the original pressing plate opening and closing device is used as the cover opening and closing device.

[0006] In order to achieve the above-mentioned purpose, the cover opening and closing device of the present invention comprises: a mounting member, which is mounted on the upper end side of the rear portion of the device body of various machines, and comprises a mounting base and two side plates folded from the mounting base; a supporting member, which comprises a back plate and two side plates folded from the back plate, and the two side plates of the supporting member are rotatably mounted to the two side plates of the mounting member through a first connecting member; a sliding member, which comprises a connecting plate and two side plates folded from the connecting plate, and is located on the outer side of the supporting member and is slidably mounted to the supporting member in the up and down directions through a sliding device; a lifting member, which is mounted on the rear end side of the cover body, and comprises a back plate and two side plates folded from the back plate, and is rotatably mounted to the two side plates of the mounting member through a first connecting member. The second connecting structure is rotatably installed on the upper part of the sliding member in the opposite direction of the supporting member; the pressure-bearing member is located above the first connecting structure and is installed on the upper part of the two side plates of the mounting member; the slider cam member is in contact with the pressure-bearing member and is slidably accommodated between the two side plates of the supporting member; the elastic member is elastically arranged between the sliding cam member and the abutment plate, and the abutment plate is arranged on the free end side of the supporting member; and the traction elastic member is located between the two side plates of the supporting member and the two side plates of the sliding member, and is arranged between the first connecting structure and the second connecting structure in a tensioned state, and always pulls the sliding member to the mounting member side.

[0007] According to one embodiment of the present invention, the sliding member is configured such that when a heavy manuscript such as a book is placed on the manuscript placement table on the side of the device body and the cover is closed, the sliding member and the lifting member slide upward together against the pulling force of the traction elastic member, and the lifting member rotates in a direction different from the rotation direction of the supporting member through the second connecting member, so that the cover can cover the top of the heavy manuscript in a horizontal state.

[0008] According to one embodiment of the present invention, the structure of this sliding device includes: a rail portion, which is installed in the up and down direction along the two side plates of this supporting component; and rollers, which are engaged with the rail portion on the two side plates of this sliding component and are guided by the rail portion to assist the sliding of this sliding component in the up and down direction.

[0009] According to one embodiment of the present invention, the traction elastic member is arranged between the first connecting member and the second connecting member in a tensioned state.

[0010] According to the present invention, various machines use the cover opening and closing devices of the above-mentioned embodiments.

[0011] As described above, in the cover opening and closing device and various machines of the present invention, since the width in the depth direction of the support member or the lifting member installed to the rear lower end side of the cover can be omitted, a cover opening and closing device that can also reduce the depth and width of various machines such as copiers and multifunction machines and can contribute to the miniaturization of various machines, as well as various machines using the cover opening and closing device can be provided.

[0012] In the cover opening and closing device and various machines of the present invention, even if the lifting component is installed vertically to the rear end side of the cover, the lifting component can be reversed to cover the top of the thick original in a horizontal state, so not only can the thick original be placed tightly on the original placement table, but also exposure leakage to the outside can be prevented.

[0013] In the cover opening and closing device and various machines of the present invention, since the sliding device can use a simple mechanism structure of a rail part and a roller, it is easy to reduce the number of parts and the manufacturing cost.

[0014] In the cover opening and closing device and various machines of the present invention, since the traction elastic member is arranged between the first connecting member and the second connecting member in a tensioned state, there is no need to provide a special structure for linking the traction elastic member to the mounting member or the sliding member. [0028] Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. In the following description, although an embodiment of a cover opening and closing device as an original pressing plate opening and closing device for a copier or a multifunction machine is described, this cover opening and closing device, as described above, can be used as a cover opening and closing device for opening and closing the cover of various machines such as a printer or a fax machine, a scanner, or a cabinet, etc. other than a copier or a multifunction machine. Therefore, the object of the present invention is not limited to the cover opening and closing device used for a copier or a multifunction machine. In the following embodiments, the original pressing plate is used as the cover, and the original pressing plate opening and closing device is used as the cover opening and closing device, and the machine using this cover opening and closing device is set as various machines. In the description of this specification and the scope of the patent application, although there are cases where these terms are mixed together, the two mixed terms have the same meaning.

[0029] In addition, the terms such as the mounting member 1, the supporting member 2, the lifting member 6, the pressure-bearing member 5, the elastic member 12, etc. described in this specification and the scope of the patent application are not limited to the specific mounting member 1, the supporting member 2, the lifting member 6, the pressure-bearing member 5, and the elastic member 12 used in this embodiment, but are broader concepts than the specific contents described below.

[0030] Example 1

[0031] like Figure 1 As shown, a pair of cover opening and closing devices (only one of them is shown) are installed on the device body D of various machines A (complex machine) of the present invention, which are arranged at intervals in a direction perpendicular to the document placement table d, and a cover C equipped with an automatic document feeding device c is installed on this pair of cover opening and closing devices in an openable and closable manner. In this pair of cover opening and closing devices, since the cover opening and closing device B shown in the figure is used for the heavy mechanism side of the automatic document feeding device c, and the load applied during the opening and closing operation is large, its elastic member 12 adopts a double coil spring method with two coil springs arranged side by side. On the other hand, since the load of the cover opening and closing device on one side not shown in the figure is relatively small, although not shown, the cover opening and closing device on this side is small, and the elastic member 12 used therefor adopts a single coil spring method consisting of one coil spring or a torsion spring (torsion spring). However, since this cover opening and closing device not shown has basically the same structure as the cover opening and closing device B shown in the figure, in the following description, only the cover opening and closing device B is described. In addition, in large-scale multifunction machines and other office machines, since the weight of the cover C increases, regardless of whether the coil spring is two coil springs or one coil spring, in some cases, coil springs of different diameters are overlapped in a concentric circle shape for use.

[0032] like Figure 2As shown, the cover opening and closing device B is to install the mounting base 6c of the lifting member 6 to the rear end of the cover C. The so-called rear end is not limited to the rear end side, but also includes the position from the rear end side to the inside. When the cover C is in the closed state, the cover C is parallel to the original document placement table d of the device body D and is in close contact with the original document placement table d to prevent light leakage.

[0033] like Figures 2 to 11 As shown, the structure of the cover opening and closing device B of the present invention comprises: a mounting member 1, which is mounted on the upper end side of the rear portion of the device body D; a supporting member 2, which is rotatably mounted on the two side plates 1b, 1b of the mounting member 1 through a first connecting member 3; a sliding member 7, which is located on the outer side of the supporting member 2 and is slidably mounted on the supporting member 2 in the up and down directions through a sliding device 9; a lifting member 6, which is mounted on the rear end side of the cover body C and is rotatably mounted on the upper part of the sliding member 7 in the opposite direction to the supporting member 2 through a second connecting member 4; The pressure member 5 is located above the first connecting member 3 and is mounted on the upper part of the two side plates 1b, 1b of the mounting member 1; the slider cam member 10 is in contact with the pressure member 5 and is slidably accommodated between the two side plates 2b, 2b of the supporting member 2; the elastic member 12 is elastically arranged between the slide cam member 10 and the abutment plate 2d, and the abutment plate 2d is arranged on the free end side of the supporting member 2; and the traction elastic member 13 is arranged between the first connecting member 3 and the second connecting member 4 in a tensioned state and always pulls the sliding member 7 to the mounting member 1 side. Moreover, by this structure, even if the cover opening and closing device B is used, the depth of the cover C can be reduced, and various machines A using this cover opening and closing device B can also be miniaturized.

[0034] Among them, the structure of the mounting component 1 includes: a mounting base 1a, which is mounted on the device body D; two side plates 1b, 1b, which are bent from the two side ends of the mounting base 1a to the upper direction orthogonal to the mounting base 1a (including a direction slightly orthogonal to the mounting base 1a); and a slightly rectangular back plate 1c, which is bent from one end (rear end) of the mounting base 1a to the upper direction orthogonal to the mounting base 1a (including a direction slightly orthogonal to the mounting base 1a), so that the locking parts 1j, 1j arranged on its two side parts are engaged with the locking grooves 1i, 1i arranged on the two side plates 1b, 1b of the mounting component 1.

[0035] The first connecting member mounting holes 1d, 1d of the mounting member 1 are through holes for mounting the first connecting member 3 in a rotatable manner. In the embodiment, the first connecting member 3 is a metal round rod having peripheral grooves 3e, 3e provided at both ends thereof and D-shaped cutting surfaces 3d, 3g provided at one end. The first connecting member 3 is a bearing hole 3h, 3h of a bearing member 3a, 3a which passes through the first connecting member mounting holes 1d, 1d of the mounting member 1 and is connected to the first connecting member insertion holes 2e, 2e of the supporting member 2, and the first connecting member 3 is prevented from falling off from the supporting member 2 by inserting an E-shaped ring 3c into the peripheral groove 3e, 3e provided at one end protruding from the first connecting member insertion hole 2e through a gasket 3b, 3b.

[0036] In addition, the first connecting member 3 may not be provided as a single shaft body, but may be divided into two parts so that the two side plates 1b, 1b of the mounting member 1 and the two side plates 2b, 2b of the supporting member 2 are separately connected with a common axis. In addition, it also includes the case where the two side plates 1b, 1b, 2b, 2b are connected by eyelets.

[0037] Pressure-bearing member mounting holes 1e, 1e are provided above the two side plates 1b, 1b of the mounting member 1, and are located above the first connecting member 3. In the embodiment, these pressure-bearing member mounting holes 1e, 1e are through holes of the pressure-bearing member 5 mounted as an axis in a non-rotatable manner. After the pressure-bearing pin 5a constituting the pressure-bearing member 5 is inserted into the pressure-bearing member mounting holes 1e, 1e, both ends thereof are riveted and fixed to the pressure-bearing member mounting holes 1e, 1e of the mounting member 1 in a non-rotatable manner. In addition, the pressure-bearing pin 5a can be prevented from falling off using an E-ring, or can also be mounted in a rotatable manner to the pressure-bearing member mounting holes 1e, 1e, or can also be coated with resin.

[0038] Furthermore, the pressure-bearing member 5 can be composed of a pressure-bearing pin 5a and a rotating roller in an integral or whole form, and can be rotatably mounted to the pressure-bearing member mounting holes 1e, 1e. The pressure-bearing member 5 can also be composed of the following components: a metal pressure-bearing pin 5a, pivotally mounted between the two side plates 1b, 1b of the mounting member 1; and a synthetic resin rotating roller, which is rotatably mounted to the pressure-bearing pin 5a through a socket provided in the axial direction of the pressure-bearing pin 5a. The pressure-bearing member 5 can also be provided with a vertical cross-sectional shape other than a circle so that it cannot rotate, and the expansion and contraction of the elastic member 12 with the rotation of the support member 2 can be controlled in a predetermined pattern. The material of the rotating roller is not limited to synthetic resin, and can also be sintered metal, ceramic, machined material or other. In addition, the pressure-bearing member 5 can also be a metal shaft covered with a synthetic resin cylindrical object, and also includes a fixing member protruding from the cylindrical object toward the first connecting member 3.

[0039] The cylindrical side surface of the pressure-receiving member 5 abuts against the cam portion 10a of the slider cam member 10. A layer of grease (not shown) is applied to the contact surface between the cam portion 10a and the pressure-receiving member 5. In addition, the cam portion 10a may be configured in a curved R shape, and the rotating roller supported by the pressure-receiving pin 5a may be configured so that the sliding contact portion side abutting against the cam portion 10a is in contact with the R-shaped surface of the cam portion 10a. The mounting holes 1g and 1h provided in the mounting base 1a are through holes for inserting the mounting screws 1m or the mounting buttons 1n when the mounting base 1a is mounted to the device body D.

[0040] like Figure 3 As shown, the support member 2 accommodates the slider cam member 10, the elastic members 12, 12 and the damper 14. Figure 4 As shown, the support member 2 includes: a back plate 2a; two side plates 2b, 2b, which are bent downward from the two ends of the back plate 2a; retaining plates 2c, 2c, which are bent inward from the lower ends of the two side plates 2b, 2b; and a contact plate 2d, which is arranged to be bent from the back plate 2a to the free end side of the support member 2 so as to connect the two side plates 2b, 2b. The contact plate 2d is overlapped with the connecting parts 2f, 2f bent from the two side plates 2b, 2b and welded. In this way, the support member 2 is strengthened so that the contact plate 2d can withstand the large force received from the elastic member 12 without bending the box-shaped structure. This contact plate 2d can also be a simple metal round rod.

[0041] As described above, the two side plates 2b, 2b are rotatably connected to the two side plates 1b, 1b of the mounting member 1 via the first connecting member 3. The first connecting member insertion holes 2e, 2e of the supporting member 2 are through holes for inserting the first connecting member 3. The stopper holes 2g, 2g of the supporting member 2 are through holes for inserting stopper pins (not shown) when assembling the supporting member 2, and for keeping the elastic member 12 in a compressed state between the slider cam member 10 and the abutting plate 2d.

[0042] like Figure 4 As shown, in the support member 2, the slider cam member 10 is clamped in the C-shaped portion of the plane section surrounded by the back plate 2a, the two side plates 2b, 2b and the retaining plates 2c, 2c, and is slidably accommodated in the extension and contraction direction of the elastic member 12. The sliding cam member 10 is pushed by the elastic member 12 to abut against the pressure member 5, and expands and contracts according to the rotation position of the support member 2 relative to the mounting member 1, thereby generating an auxiliary force in the direction of opening the cover body C, and also generating a buffering effect when the cover body C is closed.

[0043] The pressure-bearing member 5 is installed on the upper part of the two side plates 1b, 1b of the mounting member 1 in a manner of being located above the first connecting member 3. Figure 6As shown, when the cover C is in the closed state, the support member 2 is installed in an upright state relative to the mounting member 1, and the compression amount of the elastic member 12 is maximized and the maximum auxiliary force is output when the cover C is in the closed state, as shown in FIG. Figure 8 As shown, when the support member 2 is in the horizontal open state, the compression amount of the elastic member 12 is minimized and the minimum auxiliary force is output.

[0044] like Figure 4 As shown, the slider cam member 10 is formed into a cylindrical object with a substantially rectangular cross section and a bottom, and is accommodated in the support member 2 so that the openings 10b, 10b and the contact plate 2d of the support member 2 face each other. Figure 6 As shown, the cam portion 10a of the slider cam member 10 is in contact with the pressure member 5. The cam portion 10a is provided at the end of the slider cam member 10 on the pressure member 5 side, and is inclined in one direction and has a flat upper surface; and a cover portion 10c is provided, which is used to cover the exposed side of the pressure member 5 coated with lubricating oil.

[0045] Between the slider cam member 10 and the abutment plate 2d of the support member 2, the elastic member 12 is pressurized and held, and is composed of a pair of coil springs 12a, 12a. The coil springs 12a, 12a push the slider cam member 10 and the abutment plate 2d of the support member 2 away from each other. The abutment plate 2d abuts against the coil springs 12a, 12a of the elastic member 12 and the damper 14. The convex portion 14e at the upper end of the damper 14 is held in the through hole 14d of the abutment plate 2d, and the upper surface of the flange portion 14b is in close contact with the lower surface of the abutment plate 2d.

[0046] The lower ends 12c, 12c of the coil springs 12a, 12a abut against the bottom surface 10d of the opening 10b of the slider cam member 10. Although the upper end 12b of the coil spring 12a on the side without the damper 14 abuts against the abutment plate 2d of the support member 2, Figure 6 As shown, the upper end 12b of the coil spring 12a on the side with the damper 14 is in contact with the flange 14b of the damper 14 held on the abutment plate 2d of the support member 2. Thereby, the coil spring 12a presses the flange 14b of the damper 14 against the abutment plate 2d of the support member 2 and supports the damper 14 in the mounting member 1. In addition, the number of coil springs constituting the elastic member 12 may be 1 or more than 2, and the arrangement may be parallel or serial. For example, it may be arranged in a concentric manner as 2 parallel or 2 serial or only 1.

[0047] In the opening portion 10 b of the slider cam member 10 on the side having the damper 14 , a cylindrical portion 10 e is formed for supporting a piston rod 14 c of the damper 14 .

[0048] The slider cam member 10 is pushed by the pressure-receiving member 5 mounted on the mounting member 1 to pressurize the elastic member 12 to compress it. When the support member 2 rotates toward the opening direction of the cover C relative to the mounting member 1 with the first connecting member 3 as the center, the sliding cam member 10 moves toward the mounting member 1 and slows down the compression of the elastic member 12. Therefore, the elastic member 12 applies auxiliary force to the lifting member 6 via the support member 2 and the sliding member 7 to reduce the force required to open the cover C.

[0049] From the closed angle of cover C 30 degrees to Figure 6 In the closed position 0 degrees shown, the piston rod 14c of the damper 14 abuts against the cylindrical portion 10e. Therefore, during the closing process of the cover C from 30 degrees to 0 degrees, the piston rod 14c is gradually pushed into the cylinder 14a of the damper 14, and the damper 14 outputs an auxiliary force accompanied by viscous resistance to the support member 2. In other words, sudden rotation is prevented and collision between the device body D and the cover C is avoided.

[0050] The slider cam member 10 is Figure 7 (a) The cover opening angle is 60 degrees to Figure 8 The open position shown is 90 degrees in contact with the first connecting member 3, and the pressure member 5 is separated from the cam portion 10a of the slider cam member 10. Therefore, within the range of 60 degrees to 90 degrees of the cover body C, the length of the elastic member 12 is a certain length, and the thrust of the elastic member 12 does not output the auxiliary force to the support member 2. However, since the center of gravity of the cover body C is generally at a certain height within the range of 60 degrees to 90 degrees of the cover body C, the user can rotate the cover body C without being hindered by the weight of the cover body C.

[0051] like Figure 3 and Figure 5 As shown, the sliding member 7 is located outside the supporting member 2 and is slidably mounted to the supporting member 2 in the up-down direction through the sliding device 9. Here, the up-down direction is described based on the closed state of the cover C, in other words, the direction along the back plate 2a, or the diameter direction of the rotation centered on the first connecting member 3. The structure of the sliding device 9, 9 includes: a slide rail portion 9d, 9d, which is mounted in the up-down direction along the two side plates 2b, 2b of the supporting member 2; and a roller 9a, which is engaged with the slide rail portions 9d, 9d on the two side plates 7b, 7b of the sliding member 7, and is guided by the slide rail portions 9d, 9d and assists the sliding of the sliding member 7 in the up-down direction.

[0052] The structure of the sliding member 7 includes: a connecting plate 7a; and two side plates 7b, 7b, which are bent downward from both ends of the connecting plate 7a in the vertical direction. Roller pin mounting holes 9c, 9c are formed in the two side plates 7b, 7b. The front ends of the metal roller pins 9b, 9b that penetrate the hard resin rollers 9a, 9a are inserted into the roller pin mounting holes 9c, 9c, and the rollers 9a, 9a are rotatably mounted to the sliding member 7 by riveting from the opposite side to the insertion direction.

[0053] Internal threads 9g, 9g are formed on both side plates 2b, 2b of the support member 2. The rail parts 9d, 9d are fixed to the support member 2 by screwing rail mounting screws 9f, 9f penetrating through holes 9e, 9e of the metal rail parts 9d, 9d into the internal threads 9g, 9g.

[0054] The support member 2 equipped with the slide rails 9d and 9d is inserted into the sliding member 7 equipped with the rollers 9a and 9a in the direction of the arrow R9, and the sliding devices 9 and 9 are assembled by engaging the lower end 13c of the traction elastic member 13 with the peripheral grooves 3e and 3e of the first connecting member 3 on the outer side of the support member 2. The traction elastic member 13 is arranged between the first connecting member 3 and the second connecting member 4 in a tensioned state by engaging the upper end 13b of the coil spring 13a with the peripheral grooves 4e and 4e of the second connecting member 4 and engaging the lower end 13c with the peripheral grooves 3e and 3e of the first connecting member 3, and the sliding member 7 is always pulled to the side of the mounting member 1.

[0055] At the free end side of the two side plates 7b, 7b of the sliding member 7, the lifting member 6 is provided to be rotatable in the opposite direction to the supporting member 2 via the second connecting member 4 axis. The second connecting member insertion holes 7d, 7d of the sliding member 7 are through holes into which the second connecting member 4 is inserted. The second connecting member 4 is a round rod made of metal with peripheral grooves 4c, 4c and peripheral grooves 4e, 4e formed at both ends. By inserting its shaft portion 4a into the second connecting member insertion holes 7d, 7d of the sliding member 7 and the second connecting member linking holes 6d, 6d of the lifting member 6, the lifting member 6 is connected to the supporting member 2 so that it can rotate in the direction opposite to the rotation direction of the supporting member 2 relative to the mounting member 1. The disc-shaped protrusions 7e, 7e provided at the approximate center of the two side plates 7b, 7b of the sliding member 7 are spacer members for ensuring a predetermined space between the two side plates 7b, 7b of the sliding member 7 and the two side plates 6b, 6b of the lifting member 6 evenly on the left and right.

[0056] The lifting member 6 includes: a back plate 6a; two side plates 6b, 6b, which are bent downwardly from the two ends of the back plate 6a in a direction perpendicular to the back plate 6a (including a direction slightly perpendicular to the back plate 6a); and a mounting base 6c, which is bent outwardly from the two side plates 6b, 6b, and the cover C is mounted on the mounting base 6c. The mounting bases 6c, 6c fixed on the cover C are formed by bending outwardly from the two side plates 6b, 6b in a horizontal direction perpendicular to the mounting bases 6c, 6c (including a direction slightly perpendicular to the mounting bases 6c, 6c).

[0057] like Figure 3 As shown, the lifting member 6 is configured to cover the support member 2 and the sliding member 7 from the outside. By inserting the E-shaped rings 4b, 4b into the peripheral grooves 4c, 4c at both ends of the second connecting member linking holes 6d, 6d protruding from the lifting member 6, the second connecting member 4 is prevented from being separated from the lifting member 6.

[0058] In addition, similar to the first connecting member 3, the second connecting member 4 can also be divided into two sections, so that the two side plates 7b, 7b, 6b, 6b of the sliding member 7 and the lifting member 6 are connected to each other separately with a shared axis. Eyelets can also be used in some cases. In addition, between the two side plates 7b, 7b of the sliding member 7 and the two side plates 6b, 6b of the lifting member 6 of the part connected by the second connecting member 4, a friction mechanism composed of a friction washer or a spring washer of a known structure can be set as a friction torque generating device. According to the above structure, especially when opening and closing the cover body C, it can be more reliably prevented that only the lifting member 6 rotates, and a stable opening and closing operation can be expected.

[0059] The traction elastic member 13 is arranged between the first connecting member 3 and the second connecting member 4 in a tensioned state. The traction elastic member 13 forms an annular engaging portion at the upper end 13b and the lower end 13c of the coil spring 13a composed of a tension coil spring. If the traction elastic member 13 can always pull the sliding member 7 to the side of the mounting member 1, the traction elastic member 13 can be arranged at a position other than between the first connecting member 3 and the second connecting member 4. However, because the lower end 13c is engaged with the first connecting member 3, the influence of the auxiliary force of the elastic member 12 rotating with the support member 2 can be reduced. In addition, because the upper end 13b is engaged with the second connecting member 4, the free rotation of the lifting member 6 relative to the sliding member 7 can be unaffected.

[0060] The traction force adjustment device 8 of the traction elastic member 13 is composed of an adjustment screw 8a, which is installed in the screw hole 8b of the connecting plate 7a of the sliding member 7. By turning this adjustment screw 8a, the position of the sliding member 7 in the up-down direction can be changed, and the tension of the traction elastic member 13 can be adjusted.

[0061] If the cover opening and closing device B of the above-mentioned embodiment 1 is used, especially as Figure 1 , Figure 2 and Figure 6 As shown, since the lifting member 6 to which the cover C is mounted is located in a substantially vertical direction when the cover C is in a closed state, the width in the depth direction for mounting the support member 1 or the lifting member 6 to the rear lower end side of the cover C can be omitted. Therefore, the width in the depth direction of the cover C can be shortened, which contributes to the miniaturization of various machines A. Furthermore, by shortening the width in the depth direction of the cover C, the weight moment of the cover C is reduced, the auxiliary load of the cover opening and closing device B is reduced, and the cover opening and closing device B itself can be miniaturized.

[0062] Fig.11 For the purpose of explaining Figure 3 In the cover opening and closing device B shown in FIG. 1 , the lifting mechanism 15 functions when the original is a heavy original M such as a book. The lifting mechanism 15 includes: a sliding member 7; sliding devices 9, 9; elastic members 13, 13 for pulling and Figure 4 The fixing screws 6g, 6g are inserted through the through holes 6f, 6f provided on the two side plates 6b, 6b of the lifting member 6, and are screwed on the internal threads 6i, 6i provided on the two side plates 7b, 7b of the sliding member 7, so that the sliding member 7 and the lifting member 6 can rotate integrally with the second connecting member 4 as the center. Fig.11 As shown in (b), the lifting member 6 can freely rotate with the sliding member 7 around the second connecting member 4.

[0063] Therefore, if Fig.11 As shown in (a), when a heavy manuscript M such as a book is placed on the manuscript placement table d of the device body D and the cover C is closed, the lifting member 6 and the sliding member 7 resist the pulling force of the traction elastic member 13 and slide upward. At the same time, the supporting member 2 rotates counterclockwise and rises with the first connecting member 3 as the fulcrum. Fig.11 As shown in (b), the cover C is constructed so as to cover the upper surface of a thick document M in a horizontal state.

[0064] Example 2

[0065] Fig.12 (a) and Fig.12(b) is another embodiment of the lifting mechanism 15 of the first embodiment. According to the drawings, the lifting mechanism 16 of the second embodiment has the same structure as the lifting mechanism 15 of the first embodiment except that the fixing screws 6g and 6g are omitted, so the same symbols and component names are used. The structure of this lifting mechanism 16 includes: a lifting member 6; a sliding member 7; sliding devices 9, 9 and traction elastic members 13, 13. In this way, the rotation of the lifting member 6 with respect to the sliding member 7 around the second connecting member 4 is cancelled, so that the lifting member 6 rotates independently with respect to the sliding member 7 with respect to the second connecting member 4 as the center.

[0066] like Fig.12 As shown in (a), since the cover body C contacts the corner of the thick original M during the closing process, if it is pressed further downward, the sliding member 7 rises by the sliding devices 9, 9 resisting the pulling force of the traction elastic members 13, 13. At the same time, the lifting member 6 rotates counterclockwise with the second connecting member 4 as a fulcrum, so that the cover body C horizontally covers the top of the thick original M.

[0067] Next, the operation of the cover opening and closing device B of the present invention will be described. Figure 6 As shown, when the cover C is in the closed state of 0 degrees, the weight moment of the cover C resists the auxiliary torque of the elastic member 12, so that the cover C is pressed against the document placement table d and maintains a stable closed state. And, as mentioned above, when the cover C is in the closed state of 0 degrees, the pressure-receiving member 5 receives the thrust of the elastic member 12 in the most compressed state through the sliding cam member 10. In addition, here, by forming a predetermined inclination in the cam portion 10a of the slider cam member 10, the supporting member 2 can output a thrust in the downward pressing direction of the cover C from the pressure-receiving member 5 through the sliding cam member 10.

[0068] The opening angle of the cover body C is within the range of 30 to 60 degrees where the rotational torque generated by the cover body C around the first connecting member 3 and the auxiliary torque of the cover body opening and closing device B are balanced. Even if the hand is released from the cover body C, it will not fall naturally. Therefore, the manuscript can be placed on the manuscript placement table d with both hands. And the self-supporting holding angle of the cover body C is not limited to the embodiment. In addition, in order to keep the posture of the cover body C stable during the opening process, the auxiliary torque (thrust of the elastic member 12) of the cover body opening and closing device B can also be set so that the cover body C can be rotated by pushing it upward by hand even in the range of 30 to 60 degrees of the opening angle.

[0069] Next, since the elastic member 12 continues to push the pressure receiving member 5 outward through the sliding cam member 10 during the process of opening the cover C from the closed state to the predetermined angle (60 degrees), the cover C is opened from the closed state to the predetermined angle (60 degrees) with a light operating force while reducing its own weight. Figure 7 As shown in (a), it stops at a predetermined angle (60 degrees) where the slider cam member 10 abuts against the first connecting member 3. During the process of the cover body C opening from the closed state to the predetermined angle (60 degrees), since the pressure-bearing member 5 moves away from the slider cam member 10 and the compressed length of the elastic member 12 is extended, the elastic member 12 reduces the force of lifting the cover body C through the sliding cam member 10.

[0070] As described above, when the opening angle is 60 degrees or more, the weight moment of the cover C centered on the first connecting member 3 becomes smaller, so the elastic member 12 can also reduce the force of opening the cover C through the sliding cam member 10. In consideration of such problems, the elastic member 12 is designed to maintain the state of the predetermined angle (60 degrees) even without supporting the cover C by hand.

[0071] On the other hand, in the process of closing the cover body C in the open state of 90 degrees to the closed state of 0 degrees, within the range of the opening angle of 90 degrees to 60 degrees, as described above, the cover body opening and closing device B does not output auxiliary force, and the non-rotating first connecting member 3 serves as a friction resistance component of the slider cam member 10.

[0072] Next, within the range of the opening angle of 60 degrees to 30 degrees, the cover C is rotated around the first connecting member 3 by the downward pressure of the cover C, and is lowered and closed. Next, within the range of the opening angle of 30 degrees to 0 degrees, since the weight moment of the cover C around the first connecting member 3 exceeds the auxiliary torque of the elastic member 12, the cover C is lowered and closed due to its own weight. However, since the piston rod 14c of the damper 14 abuts against the cylindrical portion 10e of the sliding cam member 10 from the predetermined closing angle, the cover C will not be suddenly closed due to its viscous resistance.

[0073] In addition, the sliding device 9 can be any mechanism that can mount the sliding member 7 on the supporting member 2 (in the radial direction of the rotation of the supporting member 2) in a manner that the sliding member 7 can slide in the up-down direction. Therefore, it can be replaced with a mechanism other than the combination of the roller 9a and the slide rail 9d, for example, a combination of a sliding shaft and a sliding bearing, a combination of a clamping slide rail and a plurality of paired rollers of the slide rail, etc. In order to keep the posture of the cover body C stable when the cover body C is opened, an elastic member can also be added, which is used to push the free end of the lifting member 6 centered on the second connecting member 4 to the side of the sliding member 7.

[0074] Since the structure of the present invention is as described above, the depth dimension of the cover body can be reduced and the cover body can be miniaturized. In addition, the present invention is preferably used for a cover opening and closing device that can miniaturize the device body of various machines installed with the cover body and various machines using the cover opening and closing device.

[0075] The above description is for illustrative purposes only and is not intended to be limiting. Any equivalent modifications or changes made thereto without departing from the spirit and scope of the present invention shall be included in the scope of the appended claims.
