Abstract
Description
[0001] This application is a divisional application of the patent application with application number CN 201980074455.9, application date December 3, 2019, and invention name “Blood Pressure Measuring Device”. Technical Field
[0002] The present invention relates to a blood pressure measuring device for measuring blood pressure. Background Art
[0003] In recent years, blood pressure measurement devices have become increasingly popular not only in medical facilities but also at home as a way to check health status. These devices, for example, inflate and deflate a cuff wrapped around a person's upper arm or wrist. A pressure sensor detects the pressure of the cuff, which in turn detects arterial wall vibrations to measure blood pressure.
[0004] As one example of such a blood pressure measurement device, a so-called integrated blood pressure measurement device is known, in which a cuff and a device body that supplies fluid to the cuff are integrally formed. Such blood pressure measurement devices have the following problems: wrinkles or creases in the cuff can reduce the accuracy of the measured blood pressure results. Furthermore, blood pressure measurement devices require the cuff to expand in the direction of blood vessel compression and close the wrist.
[0005] Therefore, as disclosed in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2018-102743, a known blood pressure measurement device employs a collar between the strap and the cuff to securely fit the inflated cuff against the upper arm or wrist. In such a blood pressure measurement device, the cuff is joined to the collar using a bonding layer such as double-sided tape, thereby integrating the cuff and collar.

[0008] Patent Document 1: Japanese Patent Application Publication No. 2018-102743 Summary of the Invention
[0009] Problems to be solved by the invention
[0010] In the above-mentioned blood pressure measuring device, when the cuff is inflated, the center side of the cuff inflates more than the edge sides. When the center side of the cuff inflates more than the end sides of the cuff, the stress applied to the bonding layer that connects the cuff to the clamping ring is concentrated on the edge sides of the cuff. Therefore, stress is generated in the bonding layer in such a way that the cuff peels off from the clamping ring starting from the edge side of the cuff. Therefore, when the cuff is repeatedly inflated and deflated, the cuff may peel off from the clamping ring. In particular, when the width of the clamping ring and the cuff is small, the area where the cuff and the clamping ring are bonded is small, and therefore the cuff is more likely to peel off from the clamping ring. Therefore, it is also considered to increase the width of the cuff and the clamping ring to increase the bonding area, thereby improving the bonding strength between the clamping ring and the cuff.
[0011] However, blood pressure measurement devices, including those designed for wrist-worn wearables, are being further miniaturized, leading to a need for a technology that can prevent the cuff and collar from peeling off without increasing their widths.
[0012] Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a blood pressure measurement device that can suppress separation between a cuff and a collar.
[0013] Technical Solution
[0014] According to one embodiment, a blood pressure measuring device is provided, comprising: a collar that is curved in the circumferential direction of a portion of a living body where the device is to be worn; and a cuff that comprises: a bag-like structure that is stacked in a plurality of layers and is longer in one direction, the bag-like structure being formed by welding two sheet members formed of a resin material and expanding due to a fluid; and a joined portion that is provided at least in a portion of an edge portion of the bag-like structure disposed opposite the collar, joined to the outer peripheral surface side of the collar, and formed by a portion of the sheet member constituting the bag-like structure disposed opposite the collar.
[0015] Here, the term "fluid" includes liquid and air. A cuff is a member that is wrapped around the upper arm or wrist of a living being when measuring blood pressure and expands when supplied with fluid. It includes a bag-like structure such as an air bag.
[0016] According to this embodiment, at least a portion of the joined portion provided on the edge of the bag-like structure disposed opposite the collar is joined to the outer peripheral surface of the collar. Therefore, even if the bag-like structure deforms due to expansion of the bag-like structure, deformation of the joined portion is suppressed. Furthermore, the stress generated between the joined portion and the outer peripheral surface of the collar due to expansion of the bag-like structure becomes shear stress, thereby preventing the collar and cuff from separating when the bag-like structure expands.
[0017] In the blood pressure measurement device according to the above-mentioned aspect, there is provided a blood pressure measurement device wherein the engaged portion is provided at each edge portion in the short dimension direction of the bag-like structure.
[0018] According to this embodiment, the joined portion provided on the short-dimension edge of the bag-shaped structure disposed opposite the collar is joined to the outer peripheral surface of the collar, thereby ensuring a sufficient joining area. As a result, the blood pressure measurement device can prevent the collar and cuff from separating when the bag-shaped structure is expanded.
[0019] In the blood pressure measurement device according to the above-mentioned aspect, there is provided a blood pressure measurement device further comprising: a bonding layer provided between the bonded portion and the collar, bonding the bonded portion and the collar.
[0020] According to this aspect, the joined portion and the collar are joined via the joining layer. Therefore, the collar and the cuff can be joined in the joining region between the collar and the cuff when the joining layer is assembled, thereby facilitating manufacturing.
[0021] In the blood pressure measurement device according to the above-mentioned aspect, there is provided a blood pressure measurement device wherein the bonding layer is further provided between the bag-like structure and the inner peripheral surface of the collar.
[0022] According to this embodiment, the bonding layer is also provided between the bag-shaped structure and the inner circumference of the collar. This allows the cuff to be bonded to both the inner and outer circumferences of the collar, thereby maximizing the bonding area. Consequently, the blood pressure measurement device can improve the bonding strength between the cuff and the collar.
[0023] In the blood pressure measurement device of one embodiment described above, a blood pressure measurement device is provided, wherein the bonding layer is a double-sided tape.
[0024] According to this aspect, the cuff and the collar can be joined together using the double-sided tape, thereby improving the assemblability of the cuff and the collar.
[0025] In the blood pressure measurement device according to the above aspect, the joined portions provided on the respective edges in the short-dimension direction of the bag-like structure are stacked on the outer peripheral surface side of the collar and joined together.
[0026] According to this aspect, the engaged portions are joined to each other, thereby forming an integrated structure. This can prevent the engaged portions from being separated from the collar even when an external force is applied.
[0027] In the blood pressure measurement device according to the above-mentioned aspect, there is provided a blood pressure measurement device wherein the stacked portions to be joined are joined by welding.
[0028] According to this aspect, the stacked joined portions are fused together, and thus separation of the joined portions from each other can be prevented.
[0029] In the blood pressure measurement device according to the above-mentioned aspect, there is provided a blood pressure measurement device wherein the width of the bag-shaped structure in the short-dimension direction is greater than the width of the collar in the short-dimension direction.
[0030] According to this aspect, the bag-shaped structure has the same width as or greater than the width of the collar in the short dimension direction. This allows the bag-shaped structure to ensure as much area as possible for pressurizing the living body, thereby improving blood pressure measurement accuracy.
[0031] In the blood pressure measurement device according to the above-mentioned aspect, there is provided a blood pressure measurement device wherein a portion of the engaged portion facing the outer peripheral surface of the collar is formed by a single sheet of the sheet member.
[0032] According to this aspect, the portion of the engaged portion that engages with the outer peripheral surface of the collar is formed of a single sheet member. Therefore, when the collar and the cuff are integrally formed, an increase in thickness of the collar and the cuff can be suppressed.
[0033] Effects of the Invention
[0034] The present invention can provide a blood pressure measuring device capable of preventing a collar from being peeled off from a cuff. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0069] The blood pressure measurement device 1 is an electronic blood pressure measurement device that is worn on a living body. In this embodiment, the electronic blood pressure measurement device having a wearable device configuration that is worn on a wrist 200 of a living body is used for description.
[0070] like Figures 1 to 3 As shown, the blood pressure measurement device 1 includes: a device body 3; a belt 4 for fixing the device body 3 to the wrist; a collar 5 arranged between the belt 4 and the wrist; a cuff structure 6 having a palm cuff 71, a sensing cuff 73 and a dorsal cuff 74; a fluid circuit 7 for fluidly connecting the device body 3 and the cuff structure 6; and a power supply unit 8 provided on the collar 5.
[0071] like Figures 1 to 5 As shown, the device body 3 includes, for example, a housing 11, a display unit 12, an operating unit 13, a pump 14, a flow path 15, an on-off valve 16, a pressure sensor 17, a power supply unit 18, a vibration motor 19, and a control board 20. The device body 3 supplies fluid to the cuff structure 6 via the pump 14, the on-off valve 16, the pressure sensor 17, the control board 20, and the like.
[0072] like Figures 1 to 3As shown, the housing 11 includes: a profile housing 31 ; a windshield 32 covering the upper opening of the profile housing 31 ; a base 33 provided at the lower portion of the profile housing 31 ; and a back cover 35 covering the lower portion of the profile housing 31 .
[0073] The outer shell 31 is formed into a cylindrical shape and includes a pair of ears 31a provided at symmetrical positions in the circumferential direction of the outer peripheral surface and two spring rods 31b provided between the pair of ears 31a. The windshield 32 is, for example, a circular glass plate.
[0074] The base 33 holds the display unit 12, the operating unit 13, the pump 14, the on-off valve 16, the pressure sensor 17, the power supply unit 18, the vibration motor 19, and the control board 20. Furthermore, the base 33 constitutes a portion of the flow path 15 that fluidically connects the pump 14 to the cuff structure 6, for example.
[0075] The back cover 35 is annular with a central opening. It covers the outer periphery of the end of the outer shell 31 on the body's side. This back cover 35 is integrated with the collar 5, thereby covering the central opening. Together with the collar 5, it forms a back cover that covers the end of the outer shell 31 on the body's side. The back cover 35 is secured to the outer shell 31 or the end of the base 33 on the body's side, for example, using four small screws 35a.
[0076] The display unit 12 is disposed on the base 33 of the outer shell 31 and immediately below the windshield 32. Figure 5 As shown, the display unit 12 is electrically connected to the control substrate 20. The display unit 12 is, for example, a liquid crystal display or an organic electroluminescent display. The display unit 12 displays various information including date and time, blood pressure values such as maximum and minimum blood pressure, and measurement results such as heart rate.
[0077] The operation unit 13 is configured to be able to input instructions from the user. Figure 5 As shown, the operating unit 13 includes a plurality of buttons 41 provided on the housing 11; sensors 42 for detecting operation of the buttons 41; and a touch panel 43 provided on the display 12 or the windshield 32. The operating unit 13 is operated by the user, thereby converting commands into electrical signals. The sensors 42 and touch panel 43 are electrically connected to the control board 20 and output electrical signals to the control board 20.
[0078] For example, three buttons 41 are provided. The buttons 41 are supported by the base 33 and protrude from the outer peripheral surface of the outer shell 31. The buttons 41 and the sensors 42 are supported by the base 33. The touch panel 43 is provided integrally with the windshield 32, for example.
[0079] The pump 14 is, for example, a piezoelectric pump. The pump 14 compresses air and supplies the compressed air to the cuff structure 6 via the flow path 15. The pump 14 is electrically connected to the control board 20.
[0080] like Figure 5 As shown, the flow path portion 15 forms a flow path connecting the pump 14 to the palm cuff 71 and the dorsal cuff 74, and a flow path connecting the pump 14 to the sensing cuff 73. Furthermore, the flow path portion 15 forms a flow path connecting the palm cuff 71 and the dorsal cuff 74 to the atmosphere, and a flow path connecting the sensing cuff 73 to the atmosphere. The flow path portion 15 is an air flow path formed by a hollow portion, a groove, a tube, etc. provided in the base 33, etc.
[0081] The on-off valve 16 opens and closes a portion of the flow path portion 15. For example, Figure 5 As shown, a plurality of on-off valves 16 are provided, and the flow path connecting the pump 14 to the palmar cuff 71 and the dorsal cuff 74, the flow path connecting the pump 14 to the sensing cuff 73, the flow path connecting the palmar cuff 71 and the dorsal cuff 74 to the atmosphere, and the flow path connecting the sensing cuff 73 to the atmosphere are selectively opened and closed by opening and closing the respective on-off valves 16 in combination. For example, two on-off valves 16 are used.
[0082] The pressure sensor 17 detects the pressure of the palm cuff 71, the sensing cuff 73, and the dorsal cuff 74. The pressure sensor 17 is electrically connected to the control substrate 20. The pressure sensor 17 converts the detected pressure into an electrical signal and outputs it to the control substrate 20. For example, Figure 5 As shown, the pressure sensor 17 is provided in the flow path connecting the pump 14 to the palm cuff 71 and the dorsal cuff 74, and in the flow path connecting the pump 14 to the sensing cuff 73. Since these flow paths are connected to the palm cuff 71, the sensing cuff 73, and the dorsal cuff 74, the pressure in these flow paths becomes the pressure in the internal space of the palm cuff 71, the sensing cuff 73, and the dorsal cuff 74.
[0083] The power supply unit 18 is, for example, a secondary battery such as a lithium ion battery. Figure 5 As shown, the power supply unit 18 is electrically connected to the control board 20. The power supply unit 18 supplies power to the control board 20.
[0084] like Figure 5 As shown, the control board 20 includes, for example, a board 51 , an acceleration sensor 52 , a communication unit 53 , a storage unit 54 , and a control unit 55 . The control board 20 is configured by mounting the acceleration sensor 52 , the communication unit 53 , the storage unit 54 , and the control unit 55 on the board 51 .
[0085] The substrate 51 is fixed to the base portion 33 of the housing 11 by screws or the like.
[0086] The acceleration sensor 52 is, for example, a triaxial acceleration sensor. It outputs an acceleration signal to the control unit 55. This acceleration signal represents the acceleration of the device body 3 in three mutually orthogonal directions. For example, the acceleration sensor 52 is used to measure the amount of activity of a person wearing the blood pressure measurement device 1 based on the detected acceleration.
[0087] The communication unit 53 is configured to transmit and receive information with an external device wirelessly or wired. For example, the communication unit 53 transmits information controlled by the control unit 55, measured blood pressure values, pulse rate, and other information to the external device via a network. Furthermore, the communication unit 53 receives software update programs from the external device via the network and transmits them to the control unit.
[0088] In this embodiment, the network is, for example, the Internet, but is not limited thereto. It may also be a network such as a LAN (Local Area Network) installed within the hospital, or it may be direct communication with an external device using a cable with a specified terminal such as a USB. Therefore, the communication unit 53 may also include a plurality of wireless antennas and a micro USB connector.
[0089] The storage unit 54 pre-stores program data for controlling the entire blood pressure measurement device 1 and the fluid circuit 7, setting data for setting various functions of the blood pressure measurement device 1, and calculation data for calculating blood pressure values and pulses based on the pressure measured by the pressure sensor 17. The storage unit 54 also stores information such as measured blood pressure values and pulses.
[0090] The control unit 55, comprised of one or more CPUs, controls the overall operation of the blood pressure measurement device 1 and the operation of the fluid circuit 7. The control unit 55 is electrically connected to the display unit 12, the operating unit 13, the pump 14, the on-off valves 16, and the pressure sensors 17, and supplies power thereto. Furthermore, the control unit 55 controls the operation of the display unit 12, the pump 14, and the on-off valves 16 based on electrical signals output by the operating unit 13 and the pressure sensors 17.
[0091] For example, Figure 5 As shown, the control unit 55 includes a main CPU (Central Processing Unit) 56 that controls the overall operation of the blood pressure measurement device 1, and a sub-CPU 57 that controls the operation of the fluid circuit 7. For example, the main CPU 56 calculates blood pressure values such as the maximum and minimum blood pressures, and heart rate based on the electrical signals output by the pressure sensor 17, and outputs image signals corresponding to these measurement results to the display unit 12.
[0092] For example, when a command to measure blood pressure is input from the operating unit 13, the sub-CPU 57 drives the pump 14 and the on-off valve 16 to supply compressed air to the palmar cuff 71 and the sensing cuff 73. Furthermore, the sub-CPU 57 controls the driving and stopping of the pump 14 and the opening and closing of the on-off valve 16 based on the electrical signal output by the pressure sensor 17. By controlling the pump 14 and the on-off valve 16, the sub-CPU 57 selectively supplies compressed air to the palmar cuff 71 and the sensing cuff 73, and selectively reduces the pressure in the palmar cuff 71 and the sensing cuff 73.
[0093] like Figures 1 to 4 As shown, the strap 4 includes a first strap 61 provided on one pair of ears 31a and spring rod 31b, and a second strap 62 provided on the other pair of ears 31a and spring rod 31b. The strap 4 is wrapped around the wrist 200 via a collar 5.
[0094] The first tape 61 is called a so-called mother tape, and is formed into a tape shape that can be connected to the second tape 62. Figure 1 and Figure 2 As shown, the first strap 61 includes a strap portion 61a and a buckle 61b. The strap portion 61a is in the shape of a strap. It is formed from an elastically deformable resin material. Furthermore, the strap portion 61a is flexible and includes a sheet-like insert member inside that prevents the strap portion 61a from expanding or contracting in its longitudinal direction. The strap portion 61a includes a first hole 61c formed at one end, perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the strap portion 61a, and a second hole 61d formed at the other end, perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the first strap 61.
[0095] like Figure 1 and Figure 2 As shown, a first hole 61c is provided at the end of the band portion 61a. The first hole 61c has an inner diameter sufficient to allow the spring rod 31b to be inserted and to allow the first band 61 to rotate relative to the spring rod 31b. Specifically, the first band 61 is positioned between the pair of ears 31a and the first hole 61a is provided in the spring rod 31b, thereby allowing the first band 61 to be rotatably retained within the profile housing 31.
[0096] like Figure 1 and Figure 2 As shown, the second hole portion 61d is provided at the end of the belt portion 61a. The second hole portion 61d is fitted with a buckle 61b.
[0097] like Figure 1 and Figure 2 As shown, the buckle 61b has a rectangular frame body 61e and a buckle tongue 61f rotatably mounted on the frame body 61e. The side of the frame body 61e equipped with the buckle tongue 61f is inserted into the second hole 61d and is rotatably mounted relative to the belt portion 61a.
[0098] The second strap 62, known as a hook strap, is a strip-shaped device wide enough to be inserted into the frame 61e. It is made of an elastically deformable resin material. Furthermore, it is flexible and contains a sheet-like insert member inside that prevents expansion and contraction of the second strap 62 in its longitudinal direction.
[0099] In addition, if Figures 1 to 3 As shown, the second strap 62 has a plurality of small holes 62a for inserting the buckle tongue 61f. Furthermore, the second strap 62 has a third hole 62b, located at one end and perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the second strap 62. The third hole 62b has an inner diameter sufficient to allow the spring rod 31b to be inserted and to allow the second strap 62 to rotate relative to the spring rod 31b. Specifically, the second strap 62 is positioned between the pair of ears 31a and provided with the third hole 62b on the spring rod 31b, thereby allowing the second strap 62 to be rotatably retained within the outer shell 31.
[0100] In this strap 4, the second strap 62 is inserted into the frame 61e, and the buckle 61f is inserted into the small hole 62a. This integrally connects the first strap 61 and the second strap 62, forming a loop along the circumference of the wrist 200 together with the contour housing 31. The strap 4 forms a loop along the circumference of the wrist 200, thereby pressing the collar 5 and causing it to elastically deform along the circumference of the wrist of the wearer of the blood pressure measurement device 1.
[0101] like Figures 1 to 4 As shown, the collar 5 is configured as a band that curves along the circumference of the wrist. The collar 5 is formed so that one end is separated from the other end. The outer surface of the collar 5, for example, on one end side, is fixed to the back cover 35 of the device body 3. One end and the other end of the collar 5 are positioned so as to protrude beyond the back cover 35. Furthermore, one end and the other end of the collar 5 are adjacent to each other, separated by a predetermined distance. The collar 5 is formed, for example, from a resin material. Specifically, the collar 5 is formed from polypropylene to a thickness of approximately 1 mm.
[0102] As a specific example, Figure 4 As shown, the collar 5 is formed into a band shape that curves along the circumferential direction of the wrist, and has a disc-shaped cover portion 5a that forms a back cover together with the back cover 35 at a position opposite the back of the wrist 200 on the end side. In the collar 5, for example, the cover portion 5a and its adjacent portions are formed into a flat plate shape, and are formed with one end side and the other end side being curved at a predetermined curvature relative to the cover portion 5a.
[0103] In addition, if Figure 11As shown, the collar 5 is formed in a shape such that, when one end approaches the other end, one end is positioned on the inner circumferential side of the other end. As a specific example, the width of the collar 5 in the width direction of the wrist 200 is set so that the collar 5 on the back of the wrist 200 is larger than the collar 5 on the palm side of the wrist 200. Furthermore, the collar 5 is set so that the radius of curvature of one end on the back of the wrist 200 is larger than the radius of curvature of the other end on the palm side of the wrist 200. With this configuration, when the two ends of the collar 5 abut against each other, the other end is positioned inward of the collar 5 relative to the one end.
[0104] The cover portion 5a has an insert member for reinforcement. The cover portion 5a has threaded holes 5b for attaching the back cover 35 using screws 35a or the like. Furthermore, the cover portion 5a has holes 5c for connecting the cuff structure 6 to the device body 3. In this embodiment, the holes 5c are formed to a diameter sufficient to accommodate the connection portions 84, 93, and 103 (described later) of the palmar cuff 71, the sensing cuff 73, and the dorsal cuff 74. Three holes 5c are provided in the cover portion 5a. The cover portion 5a is fixed to the living body side of the outer shell 31 via the fixed back cover 35.
[0105] Such a collar 5 is fixed to the outer shell 31 in an orientation in which one end and the other end face the second band 62 of the band 4. Furthermore, at least the portion of the collar 5 facing the palm side of the wrist 200 is curved circumferentially along the palm side of the wrist 200, thereby maintaining the cuff structure 6 facing the palm side of the wrist 200 in a curved state conforming to the shape of the palm side of the wrist 200.
[0106] Furthermore, the collar 5 has a hardness that allows for flexibility and shape retention. Flexibility refers to radial deformation of the collar 5 when an external force is applied to it by the strap 4. For example, flexibility means that when the collar 5 is pressed by the strap 4, its shape, when viewed from the side, deforms in a manner that approaches, follows, or conforms to the shape of the wrist. Furthermore, shape retention means that the collar 5 maintains its pre-formed shape when no external force is applied. For example, in this embodiment, shape retention means that the collar 5 maintains a circumferentially curved shape that follows the wrist.
[0107] The collar 5 has a cuff structure 6 disposed on its inner circumference, and the cuff structure 6 is held along the inner circumference of the collar 5. Specifically, the collar 5 has a palmar cuff 71 and a dorsal cuff 74 disposed on its inner circumference, and the cuff structure 6 is secured by a bonding layer 75 disposed between the collar 5, the palmar cuff 71, and the dorsal cuff 74. In this embodiment, the bonding layer 75 is an adhesive or double-sided tape.
[0108] The collar 5 is formed of a resin material and is formed of, for example, polypropylene to a thickness of about 1 mm.
[0109] like Figures 1 to 6 、 Figure 12 as well as Figure 13 As shown, the cuff structure 6 includes a palmar cuff (cuff) 71, a back plate 72, a sensing cuff 73, and a dorsal cuff (cuff) 74. Furthermore, the cuff structure 6 includes a bonding layer 75 that bonds the components together and bonds the collar 5 to the cuffs 71 and 74. The cuff structure 6 is fixed to the collar 5. The palmar cuff 71, back plate 72, and sensing cuff 73 of the cuff structure 6 are stacked on the collar 5, while the dorsal cuff 74 is separately disposed on the collar 5 from the palmar cuff 71, back plate 72, and sensing cuff 73.
[0110] As a specific example, Figure 4 As shown, in the cuff structure 6, the palm cuff 71, back plate 72, and sensing cuff 73 are stacked in this order from the inner circumference of the collar 5 toward the living body side and fixed to the inner circumference of the collar 5 on the palm side of the wrist 200. Furthermore, the back cuff 74 of the cuff structure 6 is arranged on the inner circumference of the collar 5 on the back side of the wrist 200. Each component of the cuff structure 6 is fixed to adjacent components in the stacking direction by a bonding layer 75.
[0111] The palm cuff 71 is a so-called compression cuff. The palm cuff 71 is fluidically connected to the pump 14 via the flow path 15. The palm cuff 71 presses the back plate 72 and the sensing cuff 73 against the body side by inflating. Figures 6 to 8 、 Figures 12 to 15 As shown, the palmar cuff 71 includes: a plurality of air bags 81, for example, a double-layer air bag 81; a joined portion 82 provided on the air bag 81 facing the collar 5; a tube 83 communicating with the air bag 81; and a connecting portion 84 provided at the end of the tube 83. Such a palmar cuff 71 is constructed by welding a plurality of sheet members 86 together.
[0112] Here, the air bag 81 refers to a bag-like structure. In this embodiment, the blood pressure measurement device 1 uses air via the pump 14, so the description will use an air bag. However, when using a fluid other than air, the bag-like structure may also be a fluid bag such as a liquid bag. Multiple air bags 81 are stacked, and fluid communication is achieved in the stacking direction.
[0113] The air bag 81 is formed into a rectangular bag shape that is long in one direction. In addition, the width of the short dimension direction of the air bag 81 is set to be the same as the width of the short dimension direction of the collar 5. The air bag 81 is formed by combining two sheet members 86, such as Figure 7 and Figure 8 、 Figures 12 to 15The double-layered air bag 81 is formed by heat-welding two air bags 81 to form a single unit, as shown in the welded portion 81a. Alternatively, the double-layered air bag 81 is formed by heat-welding two air bags 81 to form a single unit, or by welding the opposing sheet members 86 of adjacent air bags 81 together and then welding them together to form the air bag 81. The double-layered air bag 81 is fluidically connected through openings provided in the opposing sheet members 86.
[0114] One or more joined portions 82 are provided at least in a portion of an edge portion of the air bag 81 disposed adjacent to the collar 5 . The joined portion 82 is formed by a portion of a sheet member 86 constituting the air bag 81 .
[0115] In this embodiment, if Figures 6 to 8 、 Figures 12 to 15 As shown, the following description uses an example in which one joined portion 82 is provided at each edge of the air bag 81 in the short dimension. It should be noted that, for example, the joined portion 82 may be divided by a slit in the long dimension of the air bag 81, or multiple joined portions 82 may be provided in the long dimension of the air bag 81. When the palmar cuff 71 is placed on the inner circumference of the collar 5, the joined portion 82 is joined to at least the outer circumference of the collar 5. Alternatively, for example, two joined portions 82 may be stacked and welded.
[0116] It should be noted that the two joined portions 82 are, for example, set to different lengths in the short dimension of the air bag 81. In this example, the two joined portions 82 are stacked and welded together at one end of the short dimension of the collar 5. It should be noted that the length of the two joined portions 82 can be set as desired, as long as the ends can be positioned on the outer circumference of the collar 5. They can be stacked or not. However, when set to a length that allows for stacking, it is preferable that the ends do not extend beyond the outer edge of the outer circumference of the collar 5.
[0117] like Figure 6 、 Figures 12 to 15 As shown, the tube 83 is integrally provided with one air bag 81, for example, with a portion of the edge portion of one side of the long dimension of the air bag 81 adjacent to the collar 5. As a specific example, the tube 83 is provided at the end of the air bag 81 close to the device body 3. Furthermore, the tube 83 is formed to have a width smaller than the width of the short dimension of the air bag 81 and is elongated in one direction, with the distal end being rounded. The tube 83 has a connecting portion 84 at the distal end. The tube 83 is connected to the flow path portion 15 via the connecting portion 84, forming a flow path between the device body 3 and the air bag 81.
[0118] Tube 83 is formed by arranging connecting portion 84 on two sheet members 86 and then thermally welding a portion of sheet member 86 adjacent to a region of sheet member 86 forming air bag 81 into a frame shape elongated in one direction.
[0119] Note that, in the air bag 81 provided with the tube 83 , a portion of the welded portion 81 a where two sheet members 86 are welded into a rectangular frame shape is not welded, but is continuous with the welded portion 83 a constituting the tube 83 , thereby making the air bag 81 and the tube 83 fluidly continuous.
[0120] The connection portion 84 is, for example, a pipe joint and is provided at the distal end of the tube 83 . The distal end of the connection portion 84 is exposed from the sheet member 86 facing the collar 5 , of the two sheet members 86 constituting the tube 83 .
[0121] As a specific example, Figure 7 and Figure 8 As shown, the palmar cuff 71 comprises, from the body side, a first sheet member 86a; a second sheet member 86b, which forms the first layer of the air bag 81 together with the first sheet member 86a; a third sheet member 86c, which is integrally joined to the second sheet member 86b and forms the joined portion 82; and a fourth sheet member 86d, which forms the second layer of the air bag 81 and the tube 83 together with the third sheet member 86c. It should be noted that the palmar cuff 71 is integrally formed by joining adjacent sheet members 86 by heat welding.
[0122] The first and second sheet members 86a, 86b are formed into a rectangular shape similar to the air bag 81, and the air bag 81 is formed by welding the peripheral edges of the four sides. The second and third sheet members 86b, 86c are arranged opposite each other, and each has a plurality of openings 86b1 and 86c1, respectively, which allow fluid flow between the two air bags 81. Furthermore, the areas surrounding the plurality of openings 86b1 and 86c1 are heat-welded to form a rectangular frame smaller than the four sides of the welded air bag 81, thereby integrally joining the second and third sheet members 86b and 86c.
[0123] The third sheet member 86c is configured, for example, in a shape capable of constituting the air bag 81, the joined portion 82, and the tube 83. The fourth sheet member 86d is configured, for example, in a shape capable of constituting the air bag 81 and the tube 83. Furthermore, the fourth sheet member 86d has, for example, a hole 86d1 into which the distal end of the connecting portion 84 can be inserted.
[0124] The third sheet member 86c and the fourth sheet member 86d are arranged opposite to each other so that the air bag 81 and the tube 83 are fluidically connected. They are welded together along the peripheral shape of the air bag 81 and the tube 83 by heat and cut into a specified shape, thereby forming the air bag 81, the joined portion 82 and the tube 83.
[0125] In the fourth sheet member 86d, the connecting portion 84 is disposed in the hole 86d1, and the periphery of the hole 86d1 is thermally welded to the connecting portion 84. Furthermore, the fourth sheet member 86d is bonded to the inner circumferential surface of the collar 5 via the bonding layer 75, and the bonded portion 82 of the third sheet member 86c is bonded to the outer circumferential surface of the collar 5 via the bonding layer 75.
[0126] like Figure 7 and Figure 8 As shown, the back plate 72 is adhered to the outer surface of the first sheet member 86a of the palm cuff 71 via a bonding layer 75. The back plate 72 is formed into a plate-like shape from a resin material. For example, the back plate 72 is made of polypropylene and has a thickness of approximately 1 mm. The back plate 72 has shape-conforming properties.
[0127] Here, shape conformability refers to the function of the back plate 72 being able to deform in a manner consistent with the shape of the contacted portion of the wrist 200 on which it is configured. The contacted portion of the wrist 200 refers to the area of the wrist 200 opposite to the back plate 72. The contact here includes both direct contact and indirect contact via the sensing cuff 73.
[0128] For example, Figure 8 As shown, the back plate 72 has a plurality of grooves 72a extending in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction on both main surfaces of the back plate 72. Figure 8 As shown, a plurality of grooves 72a are provided on each of the two main surfaces of the back plate 72. The plurality of grooves 72a provided on the two main surfaces are opposed to each other in the thickness direction of the back plate 72. Furthermore, the plurality of grooves 72a are arranged at equal intervals in the longitudinal direction of the back plate 72.
[0129] The portion of the back plate 72 having the plurality of grooves 72a is thinner than the portion without the grooves 72a. This makes the portion with the plurality of grooves 72a more easily deformable, thereby enabling the back plate 72 to deform in accordance with the shape of the wrist 200 and extend in the circumferential direction of the wrist. The back plate 72 is formed to a length sufficient to cover the palm side of the wrist 200. While conforming to the shape of the wrist 200, the back plate 72 transmits the pressing force from the palm cuff 71 to the main surface of the sensing cuff 73 on the back plate 72 side.
[0130] The sensing cuff 73 is fluidically connected to the pump 14 via the flow path 15. The sensing cuff 73 is fixed to the main surface of the back plate 72 on the biological side. Figure 4 and Figure 22As shown, the sensing cuff 73 is in direct contact with the area of the wrist 200 where the artery 210 is located. Here, the artery 210 refers to the radial artery and the ulnar artery. The sensing cuff 73 is formed to have the same shape as the back plate 72 in both the longitudinal and width directions, or a shape smaller than the back plate 72. When inflated, the sensing cuff 73 compresses the area of the artery 210 on the palm side of the wrist 200. The inflated palmar cuff 71 presses the sensing cuff 73 toward the patient through the back plate 72.
[0131] As a specific example, Figure 7 、 Figure 8 、 Figure 16 as well as Figure 17 As shown, the sensing cuff 73 includes an air bag 91, a tube 92 communicating with the air bag 91, and a connecting portion 93 provided at the end of the tube 92. In the sensing cuff 73, one main surface of the air bag 91 is fixed to the back plate 72. For example, the sensing cuff 73 is joined to the main surface of the back plate 72 on the biological side via a bonding layer 75. Such a sensing cuff 73 is constructed by welding two sheet members 96 together.
[0132] Here, the air bag 91 refers to a bag-like structure. In this embodiment, the blood pressure measurement device 1 uses air through the pump 14, so an air bag is used for description. However, when a fluid other than air is used, the bag-like structure may also be a liquid bag or the like.
[0133] The air bag 91 is formed into a rectangular shape that is long in one direction. The air bag 91 is formed by combining two sheet members 96 that are long in one direction, such as Figure 7 、 Figure 8 、 Figure 12 、 Figure 13 、 Figure 16 as well as Figure 17 As shown in the welded portion 91a, it is welded by heat into a rectangular frame shape that is long in one direction.
[0134] The tube 92 is integrally formed with a portion of the edge of one longitudinal dimension of the air bag 91. Specifically, the tube 92 is provided at the end of the air bag 91 near the device body 3. Furthermore, the tube 92 is formed to be narrower than the width of the air bag 91 in the transverse dimension and elongated in one direction, with a rounded end. The tube 92 has a connection portion 93 at the end. The tube 92 is connected to the flow path portion 15 via the connection portion 93, forming a flow path between the device body 3 and the air bag 91.
[0135] Tube 92 is constructed by heat-welding a portion of sheet member 96 adjacent to the region of sheet member 96 that forms air bag 91, with connecting portion 93 disposed between the two sheets. This portion of sheet member 96, which is adjacent to the region forming air bag 91, into a long, one-dimensional frame. Note that in air bag 91, a portion of welded portion 91a, where the two sheets 96 are welded into a rectangular frame, is left unwelded, remaining continuous with welded portion 92a forming tube 92. This ensures fluidic continuity between air bag 91 and tube 92.
[0136] The connection portion 93 is, for example, a pipe joint and is provided at the distal end of the tube 92. The distal end of the connection portion 93 is exposed from the sheet member 96 that faces the collar 5 and the back plate 72, of the two sheet members 96 constituting the tube 92.
[0137] As a specific example, Figure 7 and Figure 8 As shown, the sensing cuff 73 includes a fifth sheet member 96a and a sixth sheet member 96b from the biological body side. Note that the sensing cuff 73 is formed by joining adjacent sheet members 96 by thermal welding.
[0138] For example, the fifth sheet member 96a and the sixth sheet member 96b are configured to form the air bag 91 and the tube 92. The fifth sheet member 96a and the sixth sheet member 96b are disposed opposite each other, are heat-welded along the peripheral shape of the air bag 91 and the tube 92 so that the air bag 91 and the tube 92 are fluidically continuous, and are cut into a predetermined shape to form the air bag 91 and the tube 92.
[0139] Furthermore, the sixth sheet member 96b has, for example, a hole 96b1 into which the distal end of the connecting portion 93 can be inserted. In the sixth sheet member 96b, the connecting portion 93 is disposed in the hole 96b1, and the periphery of the hole 96b1 is thermally welded to the connecting portion 93. The sixth sheet member 96b is bonded to the inner peripheral surface of the back plate 72 via the bonding layer 75.
[0140] The dorsal cuff 74 is a so-called stretch cuff. It is fluidically connected to the pump 14 via the flow path 15. The dorsal cuff 74 presses the collar 5, expanding to separate it from the wrist 200, thereby stretching the belt 4 and collar 5 toward the back of the wrist 200. The dorsal cuff 74 includes: a plurality of air bags 101, for example, six layers of air bags 101; a joined portion 102, provided on the air bags 101 facing the collar 5; and a connecting portion 103, provided on the air bags 101 facing the collar 5. This dorsal cuff 74 is constructed by welding a plurality of sheet members 106 together.
[0141] Furthermore, the dorsal cuff 74 is configured so that its thickness when inflated in the expansion direction (in this embodiment, the direction in which the collar 5 faces the wrist 200) is thicker than the thickness of the palmar cuff 71 and the thickness of the sensing cuff 73 when inflated in the expansion direction. Specifically, the air bag 101 of the dorsal cuff 74 has a multilayer structure compared to the air bag 81 of the palmar cuff 71 and the air bag 91 of the sensing cuff 73, and is thicker than the palmar cuff 71 and the sensing cuff 73 when inflated from the collar 5 toward the wrist 200.
[0142] Here, the air bag 101 refers to a bag-like structure. In this embodiment, the blood pressure measurement device 1 uses air via the pump 14, so the description will use an air bag. However, when using a fluid other than air, the bag-like structure may also be a fluid bag such as a liquid bag. Multiple air bags 101 are stacked, and fluid communication is achieved in the stacking direction.
[0143] The air bag 101 is formed into a rectangular bag shape that is long in one direction. In addition, the width of the short dimension of the air bag 101 is set to be the same as the width of the short dimension of the collar 5. The air bag 101 is formed by combining two sheet members 106, such as Figure 9 、 Figure 10 、 Figure 12 as well as Figure 13 The six-layer air bag 101 is formed by heat-welding six air bags 101, such as the welded portion 101a shown, into a rectangular frame shape that is elongated in one direction. Alternatively, the six-layer air bag 101 may be formed by, for example, heat-welding six air bags 101 to form a single unit, or by welding the opposing sheet members 106 of adjacent air bags 101 together and then welding them together to form the air bag 101. The six-layer air bag 101 is fluidically connected through openings provided in the opposing sheet members 106.
[0144] One or more joined portions 102 are provided at least in a portion of an edge portion of the air bag 101 disposed adjacent to the collar 5 . The joined portion 102 is formed from a portion of a sheet member 106 constituting the air bag 101 .
[0145] In this embodiment, an example is described in which two engaged portions 102 are provided along the longitudinal direction of the air bag 101, along each edge portion in the short dimension of the air bag 101. It should be noted that, for example, the engaged portions 102 are provided on the air bag 101 so as to avoid the position opposing the cover portion 5a of the collar 5. Furthermore, for example, the engaged portion 102 has a relief portion 102a at a position opposing the power supply terminal 8b (described later) of the power supply portion 8 provided on the collar 5, for exposing the power supply terminal 8b to the outside. The relief portion 102a is, for example, an opening that allows the power supply terminal 8b to be exposed to the outside, and is, for example, circular.
[0146] When the back cuff 74 is arranged on the inner peripheral surface of the collar 5, the joined portion 102 is joined to at least the outer peripheral surface of the collar 5. The joined portions 102 arranged at the same position in the short dimension direction of the air bag 101 are stacked and welded.
[0147] It should be noted that the two joined portions 102 are, for example, set to different lengths in the short dimension of the air bag 101. In this example, the two joined portions 102 are stacked and welded together at one end of the short dimension of the collar 5. It should be noted that the length of the two joined portions 102 can be set as desired, as long as the ends can be positioned on the outer circumference of the collar 5. They can be stacked or not. However, when set to a length that allows for stacking, it is preferred that the ends do not extend beyond the outer edge of the outer circumference of the collar 5.
[0148] Connecting portion 103 is, for example, a pipe joint. Connecting portion 103 is provided at the center of the longitudinal direction of air bag 101, which is adjacent to collar 5. The distal end of connecting portion 103 is exposed from the sheet member 106 facing collar 5, of the two sheet members 106 constituting air bag 101.
[0149] As a specific example, Figure 9 and Figure 10 As shown, the dorsal cuff 74 includes, from the biological body side, a seventh sheet member 106a, an eighth sheet member 106b, a ninth sheet member 106c, a tenth sheet member 106d, an eleventh sheet member 106e, a twelfth sheet member 106f, a thirteenth sheet member 106g, a fourteenth sheet member 106h, a fifteenth sheet member 106i, a sixteenth sheet member 106j, a seventeenth sheet member 106k, and an eighteenth sheet member 106l. It should be noted that the dorsal cuff 74 is integrally formed by joining adjacent sheet members 106 by thermal welding.
[0150] The seventh to eighteenth sheet members 106a to 106l are formed into a rectangular shape similar to the air bag 101. The seventh and eighth sheet members 106a and 106b are welded together at their four edges to form the first layer of the air bag 101. The eighth and ninth sheet members 106b and 106c are positioned opposite each other and each have a plurality of openings 106b1 and 106c1, respectively, which allow fluid flow between the two air bags 101. Furthermore, the areas surrounding the plurality of openings 106b1 and 106c1 are heat-welded to form a rectangular frame smaller than the four edges of the air bag 101 to which they are welded, thereby integrally joining the eighth and ninth sheet members 106b and 106c.
[0151] The ninth sheet member 106 c and the tenth sheet member 106 d are welded at their four peripheral edges to form the second layer of the air bag 101 .
[0152] like Figure 9 and Figure 10 As shown, tenth sheet member 106d and eleventh sheet member 106e are arranged opposite each other, each having multiple openings 106d1 and 106e1 that fluidically connect the two air bags 101. Furthermore, the perimeters of openings 106d1 and 106e1 are heat-welded to form a rectangular frame smaller than the four sides to which the air bags 101 are welded, thereby integrally joining tenth sheet member 106d and eleventh sheet member 106e. Eleventh sheet member 106e and twelfth sheet member 106f are welded at their four peripheral edges to form the third layer of air bag 101.
[0153] like Figure 9 and Figure 10 As shown, the twelfth sheet member 106f and the thirteenth sheet member 106g are arranged opposite each other, each having a plurality of openings 106f1 and 106g1, respectively, for fluidly connecting the two air bags 101. Furthermore, the peripheries of the plurality of openings 106f1 and 106g1 are heat-welded to form a rectangular frame shape smaller than the four sides to which the air bags 101 are welded, thereby integrally joining the twelfth sheet member 106f and the thirteenth sheet member 106g. The thirteenth sheet member 106g and the fourteenth sheet member 106h are welded at the peripheral edges of the four sides to form the fourth layer of the air bag 101.
[0154] like Figure 9 and Figure 10 As shown, the fourteenth sheet member 106h and the fifteenth sheet member 106i are arranged opposite each other, each having a plurality of openings 106h1 and 106i1, respectively, which fluidically connect the two air bags 101. Furthermore, the peripheries of the plurality of openings 106h1 and 106i1 are heat-welded to form a rectangular frame smaller than the four sides to which the air bags 101 are welded, thereby integrally joining the fourteenth sheet member 106h and the fifteenth sheet member 106i. The fifteenth sheet member 106i and the sixteenth sheet member 106j are welded at the periphery of the four sides to form the fifth layer of the air bag 101.
[0155] like Figure 9 and Figure 10As shown, the sixteenth sheet member 106j and the seventeenth sheet member 106k are arranged opposite each other, each having a plurality of openings 106j1 and 106k1 that fluidically connect the two air bags 101. Furthermore, the seventeenth sheet member 106k is configured, for example, to form the air bag 101 and the joined portion 102. Furthermore, the perimeters of the plurality of openings 106j1 and 106k1 are heat-welded to form a rectangular frame smaller than the four sides of the air bag 101 to which they are welded, thereby integrally joining the sixteenth sheet member 106j and the seventeenth sheet member 106k. The seventeenth sheet member 106k and the eighteenth sheet member 106l are heat-welded along the perimeter of the air bag 101 and then cut into a predetermined shape, thereby forming the sixth layer of the air bag 101 and the joined portion 102.
[0156] Furthermore, the eighteenth sheet member 106l has, for example, a hole 106l1 into which the distal end of the connecting portion 103 can be inserted. In the eighteenth sheet member 106l, the connecting portion 103 is disposed in the hole 106l1, and the periphery of the hole 106l1 is thermally welded to the connecting portion 103. Furthermore, the eighteenth sheet member 106l is bonded to the inner circumferential surface of the collar 5 via the bonding layer 75, and the seventeenth sheet member 106k is bonded to the outer circumferential surface of the collar 5 via the bonding layer 75.
[0157] Furthermore, the sheet members 86, 96, and 106 forming the palm cuff 71, the sensor cuff 73, and the dorsal cuff 74 are formed from a thermoplastic resin material. Thermoplastic resin materials are thermoplastic elastomers. Examples of thermoplastic resin materials that can be used to form the sheet members 86, 96, and 106 include thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), polyvinyl chloride, ethylene vinyl acetate, thermoplastic polystyrene, thermoplastic polyolefin, thermoplastic polyester, and thermoplastic polyamide. Note that, in the palm cuff 71 and the sensing cuff 73 , at least the sheet members 86 , 106 welded to the collar 5 among the plurality of sheet members 86 , 106 constituting the air bags 81 , 101 are made of the same material as the collar 5 .
[0158] For example, the sheet members 86, 96, and 106 are formed by T-die extrusion, injection molding, or other molding methods. After being formed by each molding method, the sheet members 86, 96, and 106 are sizing into a predetermined shape, and the sizing sheets are joined by welding or other methods to form the bag-shaped structures 81, 91, and 101. High-frequency welding or laser welding is used as the welding method.
[0159] The fluid circuit 7 is composed of a housing 11, a pump 14, a flow path 15, on-off valves 16, a pressure sensor 17, a palmar cuff 71, a sensing cuff 73, and a dorsal cuff 74. A specific example of the fluid circuit 7 will be described below, assuming that the two on-off valves 16 used in the fluid circuit 7 are a first on-off valve 16A and a second on-off valve 16B, and the two pressure sensors 17 are a first pressure sensor 17A and a second pressure sensor 17B.
[0160] like Figure 5 As shown, the fluid circuit 7 includes, for example, a first flow path 7a, which connects the pump 14 to the palmar cuff 71 and the dorsal cuff 74; a second flow path 7b, which branches from the first flow path 7a and connects the pump 14 to the sensor cuff 73; and a third flow path 7c, which connects the first flow path 7a to the atmosphere. Furthermore, the first flow path 7a includes a first pressure sensor 17A. A first on-off valve 16A is provided between the first and second flow paths 7a, 7b. The second flow path 7b includes a second pressure sensor 17B. A second on-off valve 16B is provided between the first and third flow paths 7a, 7c.
[0161] In this fluid circuit 7, the first on-off valve 16A and the second on-off valve 16B are closed, thereby connecting only the first flow path 7a to the pump 14, and fluidically connecting the pump 14, the palmar cuff 71, and the dorsal cuff 74. In the fluid circuit 7, the first on-off valve 16A is opened and the second on-off valve 16B is closed, thereby connecting the first flow path 7a to the second flow path 7b, and fluidically connecting the pump 14, the palmar cuff 71, and the dorsal cuff 74, and fluidically connecting the pump 14 to the sensing cuff 73. In the fluid circuit 7, the first on-off valve 16A is closed and the second on-off valve 16B is opened, thereby connecting the first flow path 7a to the third flow path 7c, and fluidically connecting the palmar cuff 71, the dorsal cuff 74, and the atmosphere. In the fluid circuit 7 , the first on-off valve 16A and the second on-off valve 16B are opened, thereby connecting the first flow path 7 a , the second flow path 7 b , and the third flow path 7 c , and fluidly connecting the palm cuff 71 , the sensing cuff 73 , the dorsal cuff 74 , and the atmosphere.
[0162] like Figure 5As shown, the power supply portion 8 is provided in a recessed portion provided on the outer surface of one end of the collar 5 protruding from the device body 3. More specifically, the power supply portion 8 is provided adjacent to the outer surface of the cover portion 5a on the short side of the collar 5. For example, the power supply portion 8 is inserted when the collar 5 is molded. Figure 6 As shown, the power supply unit 8 is configured to be connectable to a connector provided at the end of a charging cable of a charger and to be able to fix the connector.
[0163] The power supply unit 8 includes a wiring portion 8a, power supply terminals 8b, and a cover 8c that covers the wiring portion 8a disposed in the recess of the collar 5. One end of the wiring portion 8a is connected to the power supply terminals 8b, and the other end is connected to the control unit 55. The power supply terminals 8b are composed of, for example, two circular terminals.
[0164] Next, use Figures 18 to 21 An example of blood pressure value measurement using the blood pressure measurement device 1 will be described. Figure 18 This is a flowchart showing an example of blood pressure measurement using the blood pressure measurement device 1, and shows both the user's actions and the actions of the control unit 55. Figures 19 to 21 An example is shown in which a user wears the blood pressure measurement device 1 on a wrist 200 .
[0165] First, the user wears the blood pressure measurement device 1 on the wrist 200 (step ST1). Figure 19 As shown, the user inserts one side of the wrist 200 into the collar 5 .
[0166] At this time, in the blood pressure measurement device 1, the device body 3 and the sensing cuff 73 are arranged at positions opposite to the collar 5, so that the sensing cuff 73 is arranged in the area where the artery 210 is located on the palm side of the wrist 200. Thus, the device body 3 and the dorsal cuff 74 are arranged on the dorsal side of the wrist 200. Figure 20 As shown, the user passes the second strap 62 through the frame 61e of the buckle 61b of the first strap 61 with the hand opposite to the hand wearing the blood pressure measurement device 1. Next, the user stretches the second strap 62 so that the cuff structure 6, which is the member on the inner peripheral surface side of the collar 5, fits tightly against the wrist 200, and inserts the buckle tongue 61f into the small hole 62a. Figure 4 and Figure 21 As shown, the first belt 61 and the second belt 62 are connected, and the blood pressure measurement device 1 is worn on the wrist 200 .
[0167] Next, the user operates the operating unit 13 to input a command corresponding to the start of blood pressure measurement. The operating unit 13, upon receiving the command, outputs an electrical signal corresponding to the start of measurement to the control unit 55 (step ST2). Upon receiving this electrical signal, the control unit 55, for example, opens the first on-off valve 16A and closes the second on-off valve 16B, driving the pump 14 to supply compressed air to the palmar cuff 71, the sensing cuff 73, and the dorsal cuff 74 via the first and second flow paths 7a, 7b (step ST3). This causes the palmar cuff 71, the sensing cuff 73, and the dorsal cuff 74 to begin inflating.
[0168] The first pressure sensor 17A and the second pressure sensor 17B respectively detect the pressures of the palm cuff 71, the sensing cuff 73, and the dorsal cuff 74, and output electrical signals corresponding to the pressures to the control unit 55 (step ST4). Based on the received electrical signals, the control unit 55 determines whether the pressures within the palm cuff 71, the sensing cuff 73, and the dorsal cuff 74 have reached the prescribed pressure for blood pressure measurement (step ST5). For example, if the internal pressures of the palm cuff 71 and the dorsal cuff 74 have not reached the prescribed pressures, and the internal pressure of the sensing cuff 73 has reached the prescribed pressure, the control unit 55 closes the first on-off valve 16A and supplies compressed air through the first flow path 7a.
[0169] When the internal pressures of the palm cuff 71 and the dorsal cuff 74 and the internal pressure of the sensing cuff 73 all reach the prescribed pressures, the control unit 55 stops driving the pump 14 (Yes in step ST5). Figure 4 As shown by the two-dot chain line, the palmar cuff 71 and the dorsal cuff 74 are fully inflated, and the inflated palmar cuff 71 presses the dorsal plate 72. Furthermore, the dorsal cuff 74 presses the collar 5 in the direction of separation from the wrist 200, causing the belt 4, collar 5, and the device body 3 to move in the direction of separation from the wrist 200. As a result, the palmar cuff 71, the dorsal plate 72, and the sensing cuff 73 are stretched toward the wrist 200. Furthermore, as the belt 4, collar 5, and the device body 3 move in the direction of separation from the wrist 200 due to the inflation of the dorsal cuff 74, the belt 4, collar 5, and the device body 3 move toward and in close contact with the sides of the wrist 200. Consequently, the belt 4 and collar 5, in close contact with the skin of the wrist 200, stretch the skin on both sides of the wrist 200 toward the back of the hand. Note that, as long as the collar 5 can stretch the skin of the wrist 200 , it may be configured to indirectly contact the skin of the wrist 200 via the sheet members 86 , 106 , for example.
[0170] The sensing cuff 73 is inflated by supplying a predetermined amount of air so that the internal pressure becomes the pressure required for measuring blood pressure, and is pressed against the wrist 200 by pressing against the back plate 72 of the palm cuff 71. Therefore, the sensing cuff 73 presses the artery 210 in the wrist 200. Figure 22 As shown, artery 210 is occluded.
[0171] Furthermore, the control unit 55 controls the second on-off valve 16B, for example, repeatedly opening and closing the second on-off valve 16B, or adjusting the opening of the second on-off valve 16B, thereby increasing the pressure in the internal space of the palmar cuff 71. Based on the electrical signal output by the second pressure sensor 17B during this pressurization process, the control unit 55 calculates blood pressure values such as the maximum and minimum blood pressures, and the heart rate, among other measurement results (step ST6). The control unit 55 outputs an image signal corresponding to the calculated measurement results to the display unit 12, and the measurement results are displayed on the display unit 12 (step ST7). Furthermore, after the blood pressure measurement is completed, the control unit 55 opens the first on-off valve 16A and the second on-off valve 16B.
[0172] Upon receiving the image signal, the display unit 12 displays the measurement result on the screen. The user visually confirms the measurement result on the display unit 12. After the measurement is completed, the user removes the buckle 61f from the small hole 62a, removes the second strap 62 from the frame 61e, and removes the wrist 200 from the collar 5, thereby removing the blood pressure measurement device 1 from the wrist 200.
[0173] The blood pressure measurement device 1 of the embodiment thus configured has a configuration in which the palm cuff 71 and the dorsal cuff 74 serving as cuffs are provided with joined portions 82 and 102 joined to the collar 5 via a joining layer 75. The joined portions 82 and 102 are joined to the outer peripheral surface of the collar 5.
[0174] Therefore, in the blood pressure measurement device 1, even if the fourth sheet member 86d and the eighteenth sheet member 106l on the inner circumferential side of the collar 5 deform during inflation of the air bags 81 and 101, the bonded portions 82 and 102 are located on the outer circumferential side of the collar 5 and thus do not deform. Consequently, the stress applied to the bonding layer 75 between the bonded portions 82 and 102 and the outer circumferential surface of the collar 5 during inflation of the air bags 81 and 101 is applied in a shear direction along the plane of the outer circumferential surface of the collar 5. This reduces the stress applied between the collar 5 and the cuff structure 6 during inflation of the air bags 81 and 101. Therefore, even if the bonding strength of the adhesive, double-sided tape, or the like used in the bonding layer 75 is the same as that used in conventional adhesives, double-sided tape, or the like, peeling of the palmar cuff 71 and the dorsal cuff 74 from the collar 5 is suppressed.
[0175] use Figure 23This effect will be described in detail. Figure 23 : is an explanatory diagram showing an example of the direction of stress generated in the joined portions 82, 102 of the cuffs 71, 74 of the present embodiment and the direction of stress generated in the sheet members 86, 106 of the cuff of the conventional example. Figure 23 The blood pressure measurement device (conventional example) does not have the joined portions 82 and 102.
[0176] In the conventional blood pressure measurement device, which does not include the joined portion 82 and directly joins only the fourth sheet member 86d and the eighteenth sheet member 106l to the collar 5, the center of the air bag 81, 101 expands more than the end of the air bag 81, 101. Therefore, while the center of the air bag 81, 101 remains joined to the collar 5, the end of the air bag 81, 101 is biased in a direction away from the collar 5.
[0177] As a result, in a configuration without the joined portion 82, the stress applied to the joining layer 75 joining the air bag 81, 101 to the collar is concentrated on the edge side of the air bag 81, 101. Figure 23 As shown by the arrows in the conventional example, stress is generated in the bonding layer 75, causing the sheet members 86 and 106 to peel from the collar 5 starting from the edge of the air bags 81 and 101. Therefore, when the air bags 81 and 101 repeatedly expand and contract, there is a risk that the air bags 81 and 101 may peel from the collar 5. This situation particularly occurs when the width of the bond decreases, so there is a risk that the air bags 81 and 101 may peel from the collar 5 starting from the edge in the width direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the air bags 81 and 101.
[0178] However, the blood pressure measurement device 1 of this embodiment has the joined portions 82 and 102 arranged on the outer peripheral surface of the collar 5, and the outer peripheral surface of the collar 5 and the joined portions 82 and 102 are joined by the joining layer 75. Therefore, when the air bags 81 and 101 are inflated, the joined portions 82 are stretched along the surface direction of the outer peripheral surface of the collar 5 or in a direction similar to the surface direction. Figure 23 As shown by the arrows in the embodiment, the force applied to the bonding layer 75 is a shear force. That is, the stress applied to the bonding layer 75 is a shear stress along the outer circumference of the collar 5, thereby ensuring a secure bonding area. Therefore, compared to conventional examples in which the air bags 81, 101 are directly bonded to the collar 5 without the bonded portions 82, 102, bonding the air bags 81, 101 to the collar 5 via the bonded portions 82, 102 prevents the cuffs 71, 74 from peeling off from the collar 5.
[0179] In this manner, the blood pressure measurement device 1, by providing the joined portions 82 and 102, can prevent the air bags 81 and 101 from peeling off from the collar 5 from the edge side. Furthermore, the air bags 81 and 101 are also joined to the inner circumference of the collar 5 by providing the joining layer 75 between the inner circumference of the collar 5 and the fourth sheet member 86d and the eighteenth sheet member 106l facing the inner circumference of the collar 5. This ensures a sufficient joining area between the cuffs 71 and 74 and the collar 5. In this manner, the blood pressure measurement device 1, by providing the joined portions 82 and 102, can prevent the collar 5 from peeling off from the cuff structure 6.
[0180] As a result, even if the cuff structure 6 repeatedly expands and contracts, the blood pressure measurement device 1 has high durability and can perform blood pressure measurement with high accuracy over a long period of time.
[0181] Furthermore, the blood pressure measurement device 1 can suppress separation between the collar 5 and the cuff structure 6, thereby reducing the width of the air bladders 81 and 101 in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction.
[0182] Furthermore, the blood pressure measurement device 1 can make the force generated in the bonding layer 75 between the bonded portions 82 and 102 and the collar 5 a shearing force, thereby suppressing deformation of the collar 5 due to repeated use.
[0183] This effect will be described using a specific example. For example, to prevent the cuff structure 6 from being easily separated from the collar 5, a conventional cuff structure without the joined portions 82 and 102 can be joined to the collar 5 using a material having a strong bondability for the bonding layer 75, such as an adhesive or double-sided tape. However, if a material having a high bondability is used for the bonding layer 75, the mechanical properties of the collar 5 may cause the collar 5 to flex as the cuff structure 6 expands. If the cuff structure 6 repeatedly expands and contracts while the collar 5 flexes as the cuff structure 6 expands, creep deformation may occur in the collar 5, resulting in the collar 5 being in a flexed shape and making it impossible to perform appropriate blood pressure measurement.
[0184] In contrast, the blood pressure measurement device 1 of this embodiment bonds the bonded portions 82 and 102 to the outer circumferential surface of the collar 5, without providing a material that enables strong bonding in the bonding layer 75. This reduces the stress generated at the bond between the collar 5 and the cuff structure 6, and the direction of this stress is along the surface direction of the outer circumferential surface of the collar 5. Consequently, the collar 5 is prevented from flexing as the cuff structure 6 expands, and the blood pressure measurement device 1 can suppress deformation of the collar 5 and, consequently, reduce the decrease in blood pressure measurement accuracy caused by deformation of the collar 5.
[0185] As a result, the blood pressure measurement device 1 can be miniaturized and can stably perform high-precision blood pressure measurement for a long period of time.
[0186] Furthermore, the blood pressure measurement device 1 employs a configuration in which the joined portions 82 and 102 of the air bags 81 and 101 in the short-dimension direction are stacked and joined. Therefore, in addition to the configuration in which the collar 5 and the joined portions 82 and 102 are joined via the joining layer 75, the joined portions 82 and 102 are also joined to each other. Therefore, when an external force in a direction in which the joined portions 82 and 102 are separated from the collar 5 is applied, in addition to the joining achieved by the joining layer 75 between the collar and the joined portions 82 and 102, the joining between the joined portions 82 and 102 prevents the joined portions 82 and 102 from separating from the collar 5.
[0187] Furthermore, by employing a configuration in which the stacked joined portions 82 and 102 are welded using heat, the stacked joined portions 82 and 102 can be firmly joined. By stacking and joining the joined portions 82 and 102 in this manner, the blood pressure measurement device 1 can prevent the joined portions 82 and 102 from being separated from the outer peripheral surface of the collar 5 when external forces are applied to the joined portions 82 and 102, for example, during use of the blood pressure measurement device 1. Furthermore, the joined portions 82 and 102 have a simple configuration formed from the sheet members 86 and 106, making them easy to manufacture.
[0188] Furthermore, in the blood pressure measurement device 1, the cuffs 71 and 74 employ a configuration in which the joined portions 82 and 102 are formed of sheet members 86c and 106k. These sheet members 86c and 106k are welded to the sheet members 86d and 106l of the sheet members 86 and 106 constituting the air bags 81 and 101, respectively, which are adjacent to the air bags 81 and 101 and are joined to the inner circumferential surface of the collar 5. With this configuration, the short-dimension ends of the sheet members 86d and 106l adjacent to the collar 5 are covered by the sheet members 86c and 106k forming the joined portions 82 and 102. Consequently, the appearance of the cuffs 71 and 74 can be improved.
[0189] Furthermore, in the blood pressure measurement device 1 , the portion of the joined portion 82 , 102 joined to the outer peripheral surface of the collar 5 is formed of a single sheet member 86 , 106 . Therefore, when the collar 5 and the cuff 71 , 74 are integrally formed, an increase in the thickness of the collar 5 and the cuff 71 , 74 can be suppressed.
[0190] As described above, according to the blood pressure measurement device 1 of this embodiment, separation between the collar 5 and the cuff structure 6 can be suppressed.
[0191] It should be noted that the present invention is not limited to the above-mentioned embodiment. In the above-mentioned example, the joint portions 82 and 102 provided in the short-dimension direction of the air bags 81 and 101 of the cuffs 71 and 74 are stacked and welded in the short-dimension direction of the air bags 81 and 101, but the invention is not limited to this. For example, Figure 24 As in the cuffs 71 and 74 of the illustrated modified examples, the joined portions 82 and 102 may be configured without being stacked.
[0192] Furthermore, in the above-described example, the width of the short dimension of the air bag 81 in the cuff 71, 74 is set to be the same as the width of the short dimension of the collar 5 and the air bag 81, 101 is arranged only on the inner circumference of the collar 5, but the present invention is not limited to this. Figures 25 to 27 As with the cuffs 71 and 74 of the illustrated modified examples, the air bags 81 and 101 may be arranged not only on the inner peripheral surface of the collar 5 but also on the side surfaces and outer peripheral surface of the collar 5 .
[0193] exist Figure 25 In the modified examples shown, in the cuffs 71 and 74, the expanded areas of the air bags 81 and 101 are arranged on the inner peripheral surface of the collar 5, and the welded portions 81a and 101a of the air bags 81 and 101 are arranged on the side surfaces of the collar 5. Figure 26 and Figure 27 In the illustrated variations, the inflated areas of the air bladders 81 and 101 of the cuffs 71 and 74 are located on the inner and side surfaces of the collar, and the welded portions 81a and 101a of the air bladders 81 and 101 are located on the outer surface of the collar 5. By adopting a configuration in which the air bladders 81 and 101 are located not only on the inner surface of the collar 5 but also on the side and outer surfaces of the collar 5, as in these variations, the blood pressure measurement device 1 can increase the area where pressure can be applied to the wrist 200, thereby improving blood pressure measurement accuracy.
[0194] In the above example, the two joined portions 102 are stacked and welded at one end of the short dimension of the collar 5, but the present invention is not limited thereto. Figure 27 As shown, the two joined portions 102 may be stacked and welded at the center of the collar 5 in the short dimension direction.
[0195] In the above-mentioned examples, the configuration in which the joined portions 82 and 102 are formed by cutting the sheet members 86 and 106 into predetermined shapes in the cuffs 71 and 74 has been described. However, for example, Figure 28As in the modified example shown, the joined portions 82 and 102 may be formed into a bag-like shape into which the collar 5 can be inserted. Furthermore, in the above example, the joined portions 82 and 102 are formed from a single sheet member 86 and 106, but the present invention is not limited thereto. For example, the joined portions 82 and 102 may be formed from two sheet members 86 and 106, each forming an air pocket 81 and 101 adjacent to the collar 5.
[0196] Furthermore, in the above-described example, the cuffs 71 and 74 are configured such that the joined portions 82 and 102 are formed by the sheet members 86 and 106 welded to the sheet members 86 and 106 forming the air bags 81 and 101, which are adjacent to the air bags 81 and 101 of the collar 5 and are joined to the inner circumferential surface of the collar 5. However, the present invention is not limited to this embodiment. For example, the joined portions 82 and 102 may be formed by the sheet members 86 and 106 forming the air bags 81 and 101, which are adjacent to the air bags 81 and 101 of the collar 5 and are joined to the inner circumferential surface of the collar 5.
[0197] Furthermore, in the above example, the joined portion 102 of the dorsal cuff 74 is provided on the air bag 101 so as to avoid the position opposing the cover portion 5a of the collar 5. However, the present invention is not limited to this. Alternatively, the joined portion 102 may be provided at a position opposing the cover portion 5a, covering the cover portion 5a, and joined to the cover portion 5a via the joining layer 75.
[0198] Furthermore, in the above example, the collar 5 includes the cover portion 5a, and the cover portion 5a and the back cover 35 constitute a back cover covering the body side of the outer shell 31. However, the present invention is not limited to this. Specifically, the blood pressure measurement device 1 may include a back cover covering the body side of the outer shell 31, and the collar 5 may be fixed to the back cover without the back cover 35 and the cover portion 5a.
[0199] In the above example, the configuration including two on-off valves 16 , namely the first on-off valve 16A and the second on-off valve 16B, is described as an example, but the present invention is not limited thereto. For example, a configuration including four on-off valves 16 may be employed.
[0200] Furthermore, for example, the timings of opening and closing the first on-off valve 16A and the second on-off valve 16B during blood pressure measurement by the blood pressure measurement device 1 are not limited to the above-described examples and can be set as appropriate. Furthermore, while the blood pressure measurement device 1 has been described as calculating blood pressure based on the pressure measured during the pressurization of the palmar cuff 71, the present invention is not limited thereto. Blood pressure can also be calculated during the pressurization process, or during both the pressurization and pressurization processes.
[0201] Furthermore, in the above example, the back plate 72 is described as having a plurality of grooves 72a, but the present invention is not limited thereto. For example, the number and depth of the plurality of grooves 72a in the back plate 72 may be appropriately set to control the ease of deformation, or the back plate 72 may include a member to suppress deformation.
[0202] Furthermore, in the above example, the blood pressure measurement device 1 is described using an example of a wearable device worn on the wrist 200, but the present invention is not limited thereto. For example, the blood pressure measurement device may be a blood pressure measurement device 1A that is wrapped around the upper arm to measure blood pressure. Figure 29 and Figure 30 The blood pressure measurement device 1A will be described. Components of this embodiment that are identical to those of the blood pressure measurement device 1 of the first embodiment are denoted by the same reference numerals and described, and their description and illustration are omitted as appropriate.
[0203] For example, Figure 29 and Figure 30 As shown, the blood pressure measurement device 1A in the second embodiment includes a device body 3A and a cuff structure 6A. The device body 3a includes, for example, a housing 11A, a display unit 12, an operating unit 13, a pump 14, a flow path 15, an on-off valve 16, a pressure sensor 17, a power supply unit 18, and a control board 20. Figure 29 As shown, the device body 3A includes one pump 14 , one on-off valve 16 , and one pressure sensor 17 .
[0204] The housing 11A is configured in a box shape, for example. The housing 11A includes a mounting portion 11a for fixing the cuff structure 6A. The mounting portion 11a is, for example, an opening provided on the back surface of the housing 11a.
[0205] like Figure 29 and Figure 30 As shown, the cuff structure 6a includes a collar 5A made of a thermoplastic resin material; a pressing cuff 71A, disposed on the body side of the collar 5A and also made of a thermoplastic resin material; and a bag-shaped cover 76 made of cloth or the like, within which the collar 5a and the pressing cuff 71a are disposed. The cuff structure 6a is wrapped around the upper arm.
[0206] The collar 5A has, for example, a protrusion 5d fixed to the fitting portion 11a.
