The biocidal additive formulation according to claim 25, wherein the copper auxiliary additive is a compound of formula (I), a compound of formula (II), a compound of formula (III), or any combination thereof: ; ; ; Each R 1 Independently selected from hydrogen, C1-C 20 Alkyl, aryl, and aryl (C1-C4)alkyl; Each R 2 Independently selected from C1-C cells that are optionally substituted with hydroxyl groups or fluorine groups. 20 Alkyl and aryl; and Each R 3 Independently selected from C1-C 20 alkyl.

The biocidal additive formulation according to claim 25 or 26, wherein the copper (I) salt is copper bromide (I), tetra(acetonitrile)copper (I) hexafluorophosphate, tetra(acetonitrile)copper (I) tetrafluoroborate, tetra(acetonitrile)copper (I) perchlorate, tetra(acetonitrile)copper (I) trifluoromethanesulfonate, tetra(acetonitrile)copper (I) hydrogen oxalate-oxalate-acetonitrile, or any combination thereof.
28. The biocidal additive formulation according to any one of claims 25 to 27, wherein the copper auxiliary additive is 2-ethylhexyl phosphate, triethyl phosphite, trimethyl phosphite, triphenyl phosphite, tri(2,2,2-trifluoroethyl) phosphite, or any combination thereof.
29. The biocidal additive formulation according to any one of claims 25 to 28, The molar concentration of the copper (I) salt dissolved in the biocidal additive formulation is at least 20 mM.
30. A membrane of a biocidal composition according to any one of claims 25 to 29, wherein the transmittance of the membrane is at least 98% when measured at a thickness of 30 µm, such as at each wavelength from 400 nm to 700 nm.
