Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] This utility model relates to the field of crimping equipment technology, and in particular to a flexible bulk terminal feeding and crimping device and production line. Background Technology
[0002] In the fields of electronics, electrical engineering, and automotive wiring harness manufacturing, terminal wire crimping equipment is crucial for achieving reliable connections between wires and terminals. However, existing terminal wire crimping equipment has some significant shortcomings in its design and workflow, hindering further improvements in production efficiency and quality. The main problem lies in the overly concentrated and complex tasks that the robotic arm needs to perform. Specifically, the robotic arm is not only responsible for accurately picking up terminals from the loading area but also for transferring the terminals directly to the crimping area and precisely aligning them with the cable transfer mechanism to complete the crimping operation. This process places extremely high demands on the robotic arm's motion precision, speed, and coordination. Because the robotic arm needs to quickly switch and precisely execute multiple actions and processes, problems such as motion delays and inaccurate alignment can easily occur, leading to unstable production cycles and decreased production efficiency. Furthermore, prolonged high-load operation of the robotic arm can also lead to equipment fatigue and increased failure rates, further affecting the continuity and reliability of production. [0054] To make the objectives, technical solutions, and advantages of the embodiments of this utility model clearer, the technical solutions of the embodiments of this utility model will be clearly and completely described below with reference to the accompanying drawings. Obviously, the described embodiments are only some embodiments of this utility model, not all embodiments. The technical features designed in the different embodiments of this utility model described below can be combined with each other as long as they do not conflict with each other. All other embodiments obtained by those skilled in the art based on the embodiments of this utility model without creative effort are within the protection scope of this utility model.
[0055] In the description of this utility model, it should be noted that all terms used in this utility model (including technical and scientific terms) have the same meaning as commonly understood by one of ordinary skill in the art to which this utility model pertains, and should not be construed as limiting this utility model; it should be further understood that the terms used in this utility model should be understood to have the same meaning as those in the context of this specification and in the relevant field, and should not be understood in an idealized or overly formal sense, except as expressly defined in this utility model.
[0056] The technical solution of this utility model will be further described below with reference to the accompanying drawings and specific embodiments.
[0057] Please refer to Figure 1 The flexible bulk terminal feeding and crimping device provided in this embodiment includes: a frame 10, a terminal conveying mechanism 20, a terminal transfer mechanism 30, a terminal transfer mechanism 40, a cable transfer mechanism 50, and a crimping mechanism 60.
[0058] The frame 10 can adopt a style known to those skilled in the art, and its main purpose is to serve as a carrier for each mechanism.
[0059] Please refer to Figures 1 to 3 In this embodiment, the terminal conveying mechanism 20 includes a loading station 21, a unloading station 22, a picking station 23, a carrier 24 configured to hold terminals, and a conveying assembly 25 configured to convey terminals to the picking station 23.
[0060] Please refer to Figures 2 to 4 The loading station 21 and the unloading station 22 are both formed by at least three vertically arranged support columns 26. Figure 2 In the diagram, both the loading station 21 and the unloading station 22 schematically show four vertically arranged support columns 26a, 26b, 26c, 26d, 26e, and 26f, where support columns 26c and 26d are shared support columns 26. The support columns 26 are provided with limiting members 261 at a height exceeding the required height of the material conveying path, so that the carrier 24 located in the loading station 21 and the unloading station 22 and in a vertical space higher than the required height but lower than the height of the support columns 26 can only move in the vertical direction. In this way, the material located below the limiting member 261 can be transported normally, and the space formed by the limiting member 261 can be used as a space for temporarily placing the carrier 24. Of course, a limiting block needs to be further set in this space to control the plane on which the carrier 24 is fixed. The limiting block can be a clamping block arranged opposite each other, or a telescopic limiting block controlled by a cylinder, etc.
[0061] In a preferred embodiment of this utility model, the unloading station 22 is further provided with an unloading suspension 221. The unloading suspension 221 is provided with a limiting component 2211 for lifting and limiting the carrier 24, so that when the empty carrier 24 is suspended above the limiting component 2211, the material conveying path below is not obstructed by the empty carrier 24. In actual use, when the empty carrier 24 is suspended on the fiber component, the carrier 24 can be removed manually or by other mechanical components that collect the carrier 24 and refilled with terminal material. Thus, the entire loading, unloading and unloading process can be completed using only one conveying component 25.
[0062] In another embodiment of this utility model, the loading station 21 is also provided with a loading suspension 211. The loading suspension 211 is provided with a cylinder limiting block 2111 for suspending the carrier 24. In actual use, the carrier 24, which is already filled with terminals, can be placed in the loading station 21 in advance through the cylinder limiting block 2111 to achieve better cyclic operation.
[0063] In this embodiment, the conveying assembly 25 is located at the bottom of the loading station 21, the unloading station 23, and the unloading station 22. The carrier 24 holding the terminals is conveyed from the loading station 21 to the unloading station 23 via the conveying assembly 25. After all the terminals on the carrier 24 have been removed, the carrier 24 is conveyed from the unloading station 23 to the unloading station 22 via the conveying assembly 25. Thus, after the empty carrier 24 is sent to the unloading station 22, the carrier 24 is removed manually or by other mechanical components that collect the carrier 24 and refilled with terminal material. The conveying assembly 25 then moves back to the loading station 21 to convey the fully loaded carrier 24 to the unloading station 23, thereby achieving a cyclical operation.
[0064] Please refer to Figure 3 and Figure 4 In this embodiment, the conveying assembly 25 includes a first track 251, a movable base 252, and a support plate 253; the first track 251 is laid at the bottom of the loading station 21, the unloading station 23, and the unloading station 22; the movable base is slidably mounted on the first track 251 and driven by a first drive assembly 254 to perform horizontal reciprocating motion at the bottom of the loading station 21, the unloading station 23, and the unloading station 22; the support plate 253 is mounted on the movable base 252 by a push drive component and driven by a second drive assembly 255 to perform up-and-down reciprocating motion at the bottom of the lowest pallet in the loading station 21 or the unloading station 22.
[0065] In actual use, the operator or robot places the carrier 24 equipped with terminals from the top of the support column 26 into the loading station 21. The lowest carrier 24 is used to directly contact the conveying component 25 and be conveyed, while the other carriers 24 are fixed to the support column 26 or the loading suspension 211, with the corresponding carriers 24 supported by the limiting structure. When the conveying component 25 moves to the bottom of the loading station 21 and contacts the carrier 24 through the support plate 253, the lowest carrier 24 is taken out of the loading station 21 and conveyed to the unloading station 23 via the first track 251, so that other equipment or operators can take the terminals from the carrier 24. After all the terminals on the carrier 24 have been taken, it moves to the unloading station 22 and pushes the carrier 24 upward to fix it on the limiting component 2211 of the unloading suspension 221, thus completing one material conveying process. This conveying method is stable and has high space utilization.
[0066] Please refer to Figure 5 The terminal transfer mechanism 30 is configured to clamp and transfer the terminals located on the picking station 23 to the handling station 34;
[0067] In this embodiment, the terminal transfer mechanism 30 includes: a robotic arm unit 31; a fixed base 32 configured to be driveably connected to the robotic arm unit 31; and a transfer clamping device 33 provided on the fixed base 32 for clamping and transferring terminals located at the picking station 23 to the handling station 34. The transfer clamping device 33 includes pneumatic fingers 331 and grippers 332, with the pneumatic fingers 331 connected to the grippers 332 to cooperate in completing the gripping operation.
[0068] In actual use, the robotic arm unit 31 drives the fixed base 32 to the material picking station 23, and the transfer clamping device 33 grabs the terminal, and then transfers the grabbed terminal to the handling station 34.
[0069] Existing terminal wire crimping equipment mainly uses a robotic arm to precisely pick up the terminal from the loading area and transfer it to the crimping area, where it is accurately aligned with the cable transfer mechanism 50 to complete the crimping operation. In this embodiment of the invention, please refer to... Figure 6 The terminal transfer mechanism 40 is configured to acquire the terminal held by the terminal transfer mechanism 30 at the handling station 34 and transfer it to the assembly station 44. By combining the terminal transfer mechanism 30 and the terminal transfer mechanism 40, a large amount of work required by the robotic arm is freed up. The step-by-step combination method further improves the continuity and reliability of production.
[0070] In this embodiment, the terminal transfer mechanism 40 includes a second track 41, a base 42, and a transfer clamping assembly 43; the base 42 is slidably mounted on the second track 41 and moves horizontally back and forth between the transport station 34 and the assembly station 44 via a third drive assembly, thereby realizing the reception of the terminal sent by the terminal transfer mechanism 30 and the transfer of it from the transport station 34 to the assembly station 44.
[0071] Please continue to refer to this. Figure 1 and Figure 6 In another embodiment of the present invention, the terminal transfer mechanism 40 further includes a pressing component 45, which is configured to apply a downward force to the transfer clamping component 43 so that the conductor crimping area of the terminal held by the transfer clamping component 43 is at the same horizontal height as the crimping base 63 of the crimping mechanism 60. Specifically, the pressing assembly 45 includes a servo motor 451, a coupling 452, a ball screw 453, a linear guide rail 454, a pressing guide 455, and a pressing block 456. The coupling 452 transmits the rotational motion of the servo motor 451 to the ball screw 453, which converts the rotational motion of the servo motor 451 into linear motion. The ball screw 453 drives the pressing guide 455 to reciprocate up and down on the guide rail, thereby driving the pressing block 456 to reciprocate up and down. During the downward movement, the pressing block contacts the transfer clamping assembly 43 and presses it down. Please refer to [reference needed]. Figure 7 and Figure 8 This positions the conductor crimping area of the terminal held by the transfer clamping assembly 43 and the crimping base 63 of the crimping mechanism 60 at the same horizontal level, so that after pressing down, please refer to... Figure 9 and Figure 10 The base 42 is then moved further forward so that the terminal is embedded in the second position of the assembly station 44 (i.e., abutting against the crimping base 63).
[0072] Please continue to refer to this. Figure 1 , Figures 6 to 11In another embodiment of the present invention, the terminal transfer mechanism 40 further includes an angle adjustment component 46, which is configured to drive the transfer clamping component 43 to rotate clockwise or counterclockwise. More specifically, the angle adjustment component 46 is used to adjust the tilt angle of the transfer clamping component 43 in the plane formed by the first direction (X-axis) and the third direction (Z-axis) so as to be compatible with terminal clamping at different angles, so that the position of the conductor crimping area of the terminal is parallel to the upper surface (bearing surface) of the crimping base 63. Specifically, the angle adjustment component 46 is mounted on the base 42 and includes a drive rod 461, a knob 462 connected to the outer end of the drive rod 461, a sector gear 463 connected to the inner end of the drive rod 461, and an adjustment gear 464 meshing with the sector gear 463. The adjustment gear 464 is fixedly connected to the transfer clamping component 43. Thus, by turning the knob 462, the sector gear 463 is driven to rotate, thereby adjusting the clamping angle of the transfer clamping component 43. More preferably, the sector gear 463 is provided with an angle limiting component to control the angle adjustment range.
[0073] Please refer to Figure 1 and Figure 12 The cable transfer mechanism 50 is configured to transfer the cable to the assembly station 44 and position the core contact area of the cable in a position that can be pressed against the conductor crimping area of the terminal.
[0074] In this embodiment, the cable transfer mechanism 50 includes a positioning component 51 and a cable transfer component 52; the positioning component 51 is configured to cooperate with the cable feeding mechanism 70 to fix the cable; the cable transfer component 52 is configured to clamp and transfer the fixed cable to the assembly station 44 so that the core contact area of the cable is in a position that can be pressed with the conductor crimping area of the terminal; the cable transfer component includes a transfer pneumatic finger 521, a third drive component 522, and a fourth drive component 523, the third drive component 522 drives the transfer pneumatic finger 521 to reciprocate in a first direction, and the fourth drive component 523 drives the transfer pneumatic finger 521 to reciprocate in a second direction, the first direction being perpendicular to the second direction.
[0075] The cable loading mechanism 70 includes a cable transport component 71 configured to transport the cable to a designated position, and a cable clamping component 72 disposed on the cable transport component 71. The cable transport component 71 transfers the cable from the previous process to this crimping process, while the cable clamping component 72 is used to fix the cable. The cable clamping component 72 may be a cylinder gripper 332.
[0076] Please refer to Figure 1and Figure 12 The crimping mechanism 60 is configured to engage the core contact area of the cable with the conductor crimping area of the terminal.
[0077] The crimping mechanism 60 includes a crimping motor 61, a crimping connector 62 connected to the crimping motor 61, and a crimping base 63 located at the corresponding position of the crimping connector 62. The transfer clamping assembly 43 first places the terminal on the crimping base 63, and then the cable transfer mechanism 50 moves the core wire contact area of the cable to the position where it is crimped with the conductor crimping area of the terminal. Then, the crimping motor 61 drives the crimping connector 62 downward to complete the crimping of the terminal and the cable.
[0078] Please continue to refer to this. Figure 1 , Figures 7 to 14 In another embodiment of the present invention, the crimping base 63 is provided with a left limiting block 631, a right limiting block 632, a front limiting block 633 and a rear limiting block 633 to ensure consistency in terminal feeding.
