FILTRATION DEVICE

Abstract

A filtration device (10) for filtering particles from a fluid, the filtration device (10) comprising a filtration vessel (12); - at least one filtration element (14) for removing particles from a fluid passing therethrough, the at least one filtration element (14) being arranged to move along a defined path (20) within the filtration vessel (12), and out of the filtration vessel (12); a filtration inlet (16) arranged to convey a mixture of particles and fluid to the at least one filtration element (14) within the filtration vessel (12); and a filtration outlet (18) arranged to convey fluid, filtered through the at least one filtration element (14), out of the filtration vessel (12); wherein the filtration device (10) is configured to establish a differential pressure across the at least one filter element (14) within the filtration vessel (12). Also provided is a method of filtering particles from a fluid.
