AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

Existing electrical synchronous machines experience undesirable vibrations due to pole locking, which occurs when the rotor and stator poles interact, leading to local equilibrium positions that cause brief acceleration and delay, resulting in vibrations.

Method used

The use of permanent magnets with varying dimensions and configurations, attached to the rotor or stator, to adjust pole widths and gaps, reducing pole locking effects.

Benefits of technology

Significantly reduces pole locking, allowing the use of existing stator designs while simplifying manufacturing and enabling variable pole widths and gaps, thereby minimizing vibrations.

Description

[0001] The invention relates to an electrical synchronous machine, i.e. a dynamoelectric machine with permanent magnets.

[0002] Dynamoelectric machines, such as electric motors or generators, consist of a first stationary component, the stator, and a second moving component, the rotor, which have an unequal number of magnetic poles. During relative motion between these components, the interaction of the poles of the stator and rotor causes them to regularly pass through local equilibrium positions. When approaching such an equilibrium position, the rotor is briefly accelerated. Conversely, when moving away from it, it is slightly decelerated. This phenomenon, known as pole cogging, leads to unwanted vibrations in electrical machines of this type.

[0003] From DE 103 03 848 A1 an arrangement of a rotor of a synchronous machine is known in which identical permanent magnets are arranged asymmetrically on the circumference of the rotor.

[0004] A permanent magnet synchronous motor is known from DE 24 16 610 A.

[0005] The invention is based on the object of developing an electrical machine of linear or rotary design in such a way that the pole cogging is reduced.

[0006] According to the invention, the object is achieved in the electric synchronous machine according to the features specified in claim 1.

[0007] An important feature of the invention of the dynamoelectric synchronous machine is that the individual permanent magnets have different dimensions.

[0008] An advantage here is that the effect of pole cogging can be significantly reduced. Another important feature of the invention is that the permanent magnets according to the invention can be mounted on the rotor. This is advantageous because the complex stator design can be used unchanged, while the pole cogging can be significantly reduced.

[0009] In an alternative embodiment, the permanent magnets according to the invention can be mounted on the stator. This has the advantage that the design of a motor in which the permanent magnets are mounted on the stator can be used unchanged, while the pole pitch can be significantly reduced.

[0010] In another embodiment, the permanent magnets can be made of magnetizable plastic. The advantage here is that the magnetizable plastic layer can be applied to the corresponding component using plastic processing techniques.

[0011] In another embodiment, the permanent magnets are only magnetizable after they have been installed. The advantage here is that the position and dimensions of the individual poles can only be determined by magnetizing the permanent magnets.

[0012] In a further advantageous embodiment, a single pole can be formed from several permanent magnets. The advantage here is that by selecting appropriately small individual magnets, a variable pole width can be produced, with the pole widths differing by a multiple of the individual magnet widths.

[0013] In a further advantageous embodiment, the pole pairs can each be formed from several poles, with the individual pole pairs having different widths. The advantage here is that by adjusting the width and / or position of the pole pairs, pole pitch can be significantly reduced.

[0014] In a further advantageous embodiment, the pole gaps between the poles can be formed with different widths. This has the advantage that the pole pitch can be reduced by adjusting the width and / or position of the pole gaps.

[0015] In a further advantageous embodiment, the pole pair gaps have different widths. This has the advantage that the pole pitch can be reduced by adjusting the width and / or position of the pole pair gaps. Further advantages are set out in the subclaims.

[0016] The invention will now be explained in more detail with the aid of a figure: In the Fig. 1 shows a rotor according to the invention in sectional view.

[0017] Permanent magnets 2 and 3 are mounted on rotor 1. A group of permanent magnets 2 and 3 each forms a pole pair. The width of the pole gaps 4 is identical both between the individual poles and between the pole pairs.

[0018] The figure shows an example of an embodiment in which permanent magnets with two different widths are used, which are arranged successively in the circumferential direction.

[0019] In a further advantageous embodiment, permanent magnets are to be provided, the width of which can be varied as desired within a predetermined range.

[0020] In a further advantageous embodiment, very narrow, identically wide partial magnets are provided in the circumferential direction. These are mounted on the rotor without a pole gap before magnetization. The magnetization determines the width of the individual poles. In this embodiment, this width cannot be completely freely selected, but is based on the width of the partial magnets.

[0021] The width of a single pole is therefore always a multiple of the width of a partial magnet. For this design, only one type of partial magnet is used in the manufacturing process, which significantly simplifies the motor design.

[0022] In a further advantageous embodiment, the width of the pole gaps is correlated with the width of the poles and the width of the pole pair gaps is correlated with the width of the pole pairs in such a way that the pole cogging is greatly reduced.

[0023] In another advantageous embodiment, the rotor is overmolded with a layer of magnetizable plastic, in which the areas 2, 3 and 4 are made of Fig. 1 can then be determined by magnetization. During magnetization, the width of the pole gaps is correlated with the width of the poles, and the width of the pole pair gaps is correlated with the width of the pole pairs in such a way that the pole pitch is greatly reduced.

[0024] The correlation of the individual distances is preferably selected as described, for example, in DE 103 03 848 A1 mentioned at the beginning. List of reference symbols 1 rotor 2 permanent magnets 3 permanent magnet 4 pole gaps
