AI Technical Summary
Existing window glass heating systems for vehicles struggle to provide appropriate heat distribution and visibility, particularly in areas prone to ice and snow accumulation, leading to impaired driver vision and inefficient energy use.
A dual-heater system comprising a first heater on the entire window surface and a second heater near critical areas like A-pillars and wiper rest positions, with independent control of heat output based on temperature and user inputs, ensuring optimal heating and visibility.
Effectively melts ice and snow in critical areas while maintaining clear visibility and reducing energy consumption, enhancing driver comfort and safety without complex operations.

Abstract
Claims
[1] Window glass heating device (1, 101) with: a first heating device (20) having a transparent or semi-transparent first heating film (21, 122, 123) fixed in a region including a central region of a window glass (10, 110) of a motor vehicle; a second heating device (30) with a transparent or semi-transparent second heating film (31, 121, 124) which is attached in a partial area of the window glass of the motor vehicle; and a heating control device (60, 131) for controlling the amount of heat in the first and second heating devices, wherein the window glass is a laminated glass having an outer glass (12) and an inner glass (11) arranged to overlap; wherein the first heating device (20) is attached to substantially the entire surface on a vehicle outer side of the inner glass (11), wherein the second heating device (30) is attached to a surface on the vehicle interior side of the outer glass (12), overlapped in areas corresponding to the lower portion and the right and left end portions of the first heating device (20), and formed substantially U-shaped, wherein a non-conductive transparent film (13) is arranged between the first heating device (20) and the second heating device (30), and wherein the heating control device (60) controls the heat quantity of the first heating device (20) and the second heating device (30) based on information concerning a vehicle outside temperature, concerning information of on / off switching states of an anti-fogging device switch and a windshield wiper defrosting device switch, and concerning on / off switching states of a windshield wiper switch. [2] Window glass heating device according to claim 1, wherein the heating control device (60) is arranged to: causing the first heating device (20) to generate heat when the defogging device switch is turned on; Causing the second heating device (30) to generate heat when the windshield wiper defroster switch is switched on; and Causing the first heater (20) and the second heater (30) to generate heat when the windshield wiper switch is on and the vehicle exterior temperature is lower than 2 degrees Celsius.
