Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a device for winding a thread, ribbon or monofilament according to the preamble of claim 1.
[0002] When manufacturing threads, ribbons, or monofilaments, it is common practice to wind the stranded material into a spool for temporary storage. For this purpose, the spools are typically wound around the circumference of a bobbin, which is held by a spool holder. Depending on the manufacturing process and the winding device, various holding systems for bobbin tubes are known in the art. For example, the spool holder can be designed as a so-called mandrel, onto which the tube is pushed and clamped by a clamping device. Such holding systems are preferably used to accommodate multiple bobbin tubes on a spool holder.
[0003] If the thread, ribbon, or monofilament is wound individually onto a spool, the spool holder is preferably designed with two spaced-apart clamping plates, between which a winding tube is clamped. In this holding mechanism, on which the invention is based, the winding tube is clamped at its end faces by the clamping plates of the spool holder. Such a device for winding a thread is known, for example, from EP 0 919 505 A1.
[0004] In the known device, the tensioning plates are designed to be axially movable on the spool holder, with the tensioning force for holding the bobbin tube being generated by at least one spring acting on the tensioning plates. To release the tension on the bobbin tube, a working cylinder is assigned to at least one of the tensioning plates, which causes an axial displacement of the tensioning plate against the spring force and thus releases the bobbin tube. In this case, the opposing tensioning plates can also be designed with an actuation system for axial displacement. In principle, the bobbin tube is guided between the tensioning plates into a fixed position, which enables a thread to be wound onto a bobbin around the circumference of the bobbin tube.
[0005] When winding a thread or ribbon, it is common practice to wind a so-called thread reserve around the circumference of the bobbin tube at the beginning of the winding process. This requires the thread to be positioned relative to the bobbin tube using a thread traversing system.
[0006] In the prior art, systems are known in which the positioning of the thread is carried out solely by a traversing device, as is known, for example, from EP 0 311 827 A2. In this case, the thread can be laid by a positionable traversing thread guide, which can be guided and positioned within and outside of a traversing stroke by a microprocessor-controlled stepper motor. These systems require complex drive and control electronics.
[0007] In the event that a traversing yarn guide of a traversing device with a simple drive can only be positioned and guided within a traversing stroke, additional yarn transfer devices are required. However, such yarn transfer devices generally have the disadvantage that the yarn must be transferred to the traversing device after the yarn reserve winding is completed. Therefore, very complex auxiliary yarn guidance devices are sometimes necessary.
[0008] However, systems are also known in the prior art in which the entire traversing device is designed to be movable relative to a spool holder for positioning the thread. Such a device for winding a thread is known, for example, from DE 102 23 484 A1. Here, too, complex auxiliary devices are required to position the thread on the spool tube.
[0009] It is now an object of the invention to further develop a device for winding a thread, ribbon or monofilament of the generic type in such a way that positioning of the thread to form a thread reserve can be realized without additional auxiliary devices.
[0010] The object of the invention is achieved in that one of the working cylinders is designed to be double-acting in such a way that the tensioning plates together with the winding tube can be guided from the tensioning position into a winding position against the spring force of only one of the springs.
[0011] Advantageous further developments of the invention are defined by the features and combinations of features of the respective subclaims.
[0012] The invention uses the axial mobility of the tensioning plates to shift the winding tube on the bobbin holder so that the position of the winding tube changes relative to an incoming thread. This displacement can be advantageously used to deposit the thread at a point on the winding tube that lies outside the bobbin width. The displaceability of the tensioning plates together with the winding tube is particularly advantageous for forming a thread reserve winding, since a thread held in a traversing thread guide of a traversing device can form a thread reserve winding at the end of a traversing stroke without additional thread guide elements. For this purpose, no further auxiliary devices are required to deposit the thread on the circumference of the winding tube in an area outside the bobbin width at the start of a bobbin winding.
[0013] In order to return the tensioning plates with the winding tube to the normal tensioning position after completing a wound thread reserve, the preferred embodiment of the invention is designed in which the spring on the bobbin holder loaded in the initial winding position has a greater spring constant than the opposite spring on the bobbin holder. Thus, after the working cylinders are relieved of load, the winding tube can be automatically returned to the tensioning position with the tensioning plates by spring force.
[0014] To determine the position of the bobbin on the circumference of the winding tube, a further development of the invention is provided in which the tensioning plate, which interacts with the stronger spring, is assigned a stop, so that the tensioning plate rests against the stop in the tensioned position. Thus, the winding tube has a defined position on the bobbin holder, so that, with an associated traversing device, a bobbin can be wound at a predetermined position on the circumference of the winding tube.
[0015] A high level of component integration is achieved by directly coupling the clamping plate to a thrust piston of the working cylinder. The thrust piston is cup-shaped to accommodate one of the springs. This allows the thrust piston to be loaded and displaced either by a working fluid from the working cylinder or the spring.
[0016] For winding a thread, ribbon, or monofilament, the embodiment of the invention in which one of the tensioning plates is coupled to a spool drive is particularly advantageous. This allows the winding tube to be driven directly in the tensioning plate to the desired peripheral speed for winding the thread.
[0017] The reel drive is preferably formed by an electric motor and a belt drive, with the clamping plate connected to a belt pulley, and the electric motor mounted on an inner side of the reel holder. This ensures that the device can also be mounted side by side in a large number of units with a small machine pitch.
[0018] One of the clamping plates is preferably designed to be freely rotatable and is mounted directly on the free end of the thrust piston.
[0019] To perform a bobbin change, the inventive development provides a pivotable bobbin holder, with the bobbin being held against a rotatably mounted contact roller during winding of the thread. Thus, after the bobbin is completed, the bobbin holder can be pivoted into a transfer position, in which the wound bobbin is exchanged for an empty bobbin tube. In this respect, the device according to the invention is preferably suitable for cooperation with a tube magazine.
[0020] To guide the thread during winding onto the bobbin, a traversing device with a driven reversing thread shaft is provided. A thread guide is guided in a groove of the reversing thread shaft. The reversing thread shaft is driven directly by an electric motor.
[0021] In order to utilize the thread guide of the traversing device for positioning the thread, a further development of the invention is provided in which a sensor device for monitoring the thread guide is assigned to the traversing device. The sensor device is advantageously connected to a control device coupled to a control unit of the electric motor. In this respect, the thread guide can be guided to a predetermined position by braking and stopping the electric motor.
[0022] The device according to the invention for winding a thread, ribbon, or monofilament into a bobbin has the particular advantage of utilizing existing devices to increase the degree of freedom in thread guidance. Thus, the axial displacement of the winding tube in the tensioned state offers the possibility of depositing the thread held in a thread guide of the traversing device, without additional aids, in an area of the winding tube that is not overwound by the thread to form a bobbin.
[0023] To explain the invention, some embodiments of the device according to the invention are explained in more detail below with reference to the attached figures.
[0024] They represent: Fig. 1 schematically shows a view of an embodiment of the device according to the invention Fig. 2 to Fig. 4 schematically shows a partial cross-sectional view of the embodiment of Fig. 1 in several operating situations Fig. 5 schematically shows a partial view of the embodiment of Fig. 1 Fig. 6 schematically shows a view of another embodiment of the device according to the invention Fig. 7 schematically shows a partial cross-sectional view of the embodiment of Fig. 6
[0025] In the Fig. Figure 1 schematically shows a first embodiment of the device according to the invention for winding a thread, ribbon, or monofilament into a spool. The embodiment comprises a spool holder 1 having two projecting holding arms 1.1 and 1.2. Two opposing, axially movable clamping plates 2.1 and 2.2 are arranged at the free end of the holding arms 1.1 and 1.2. The clamping plates 2.1 and 2.2 are arranged on the inner sides of the holding arms 1.1 and 1.2 and hold a winding tube 3 between them. Several actuating means are assigned to the clamping plates 2.1 and 2.2 for axial displacement, which are explained in more detail below. The relaxing and releasing of the winding tube 3 is actively carried out by two working cylinders 7 and 8, which are assigned to the clamping plates 2.1 and 2.2 on the holding arms 1.1 and 1.2. The working cylinders 7 and 8 are coupled to a control valve 23 via several pressure lines 32.1, 32.2 and 32.3.
[0026] To wind a thread 5, the spool holder 1 interacts with a contact roller 15, which is rotatably mounted and driven by a roller drive 16. To lay the thread 5, a traversing device 17 is provided, which in this case is formed by a reversing-thread shaft 37 (shown in dashed lines) driven by a traversing drive 28. A thread guide 18, guided in a groove 38 of the reversing-thread shaft 37, is guided on a straight guide 19, so that upon rotation of the reversing-thread shaft 37, the thread guide 18 is guided back and forth within a traversing stroke. The traversing stroke of the thread guide 18 essentially corresponds to one spool width of a wound spool 4. A sensor device 20, which detects the position of the thread guide 18, is assigned to the traversing device 17. The sensor device 20 is coupled to a control device 21.
[0027] Control units 22.1 and 22.2 are assigned to the roller drive 16 and the oscillating drive 28, which are also connected to the control device 21. The control device 21 and the control valve 23 are also connected to each other via a control line.
[0028] At the Fig. In the operating situation shown in Figure 1, the thread 5 is wound onto the bobbin 4. The bobbin 4 rests against the surface of the contact roller 15 and is driven by it at a constant winding speed. The tensioning plates 2.1 and 2.2 on the bobbin holder 1 are rotatably mounted and can rotate with the bobbin tube 3.
[0029] After completion of the coil winding, the winding tube 3 is released from the coil holder 1, for which purpose the clamping plates 2.1 and 2.2 are designed to be axially displaceable. To explain the clamping plates 2.1 and 2.2, in addition to the Fig. 2 is referred to.
[0030] In Fig. Figure 2 shows a schematic partial cross-sectional view of the clamping plates 2.1 and 2.2 on the holding arms 1.1 and 1.2 of the spool holder 1. The clamping plate 2.1, which is shown on the left half of the image, is held via a bearing 10.1 on a freely projecting end of a thrust piston 7.1 of a single-acting working cylinder 7. The thrust piston 7.1 has a holding collar 29 inside a cylinder 7.2, which in the operating situation shown rests against a stop 9.1. The thrust piston 7.1 is pot-shaped and has a recess 30 in which a spring 6.1 is held. The spring 6.1 is tensioned between the thrust piston 7.1 and a cover 31 of the cylinder 7.2. In the illustrated operating situation, the working cylinder 7 is unloaded, so that the spring 6.1 holds the thrust piston 8.1 in an end position at the stop 9.1. In this situation, the clamping plate 2.1 is in a clamped position.
[0031] The opposite clamping plate 2.2 on the holding arm 1.2 is rotatably mounted on the projecting end of a thrust piston 8.1 of a double-acting working cylinder 8 via a bearing 10.2. The double-acting working cylinder 8 has a cylinder 8.2, which is connected to the control valve 23 (not shown here) via two pressure lines 32.2 and 32.3.
[0032] The thrust piston 8.1 has a retaining collar 29 inside the cylinder 8.2, which is held in the central area of the cylinder 8 in the illustrated operating situation. Inside the thrust piston 8.1 has a recess 30 in which a spring 6.2 is held, which is tensioned between a cover 31 of the cylinder 8.2 and the thrust piston 8.1. In the illustrated operating situation in Fig. 2, the thrust piston 8.1 of the double-acting working cylinder 8 is loaded by the spring 6.2, so that the clamping plate 2.2 is in the clamping position and clamps the winding tube 3 with the clamping plate 2.1.
[0033] In this situation, the bobbin holder 1 is ready to start winding a thread. Such a situation is, for example, in Fig. 5. At the beginning of a winding, the yarn guide 18 is first guided to an end position on the right side of the traversing stroke and stopped. For this purpose, the position of the yarn guide 18 is detected via the sensor device 20, which could, for example, have one or more sensors, in order to brake and stop the reversing thread shaft via the control device 20 and the control unit 22.1 in such a way that the yarn guide 18 remains in the end position. Parallel to this, the winding tube 3, together with the tensioning plates 2.1 and 2.2, is displaced axially in the direction of the holding arm 1.1 in the tensioned state. This situation is shown schematically in Fig. 3, so that in addition to the Fig. 3 is referred to.
[0034] In the Fig. Figure 3 shows a partial sectional view of the tensioning plates 2.1 and 2.2 in a winding-on position. During this phase, the working cylinder 8 is pressurized via the pressure line 32.3, so that the thrust piston 8.1, with its retaining collar 29, is guided to a stop 9.2 of the cylinder 8.2. The movement of the thrust piston 8.1 displaces the tensioning plate 2.2, as well as the winding tube 3 and the tensioning plate 2.1, in the direction of the holding arm 1.1. The thrust piston 7.1 of the working cylinder 7 is displaced against the spring 6.1 inside the cylinder 7.2. In this situation, the winding-on position is reached, so that when a thread is applied and wound, the thread is initially wound on the circumference of the winding tube 3, which is not covered by the subsequent bobbin winding.
[0035] In Fig. This situation is illustrated in Figure 5, with the position of the tensioning plate 2.2 of the winding point shown in dashed lines. As soon as a thread reserve winding 34 has been placed on the circumference of the winding tube 3, the double-acting working cylinder 8 is relieved, so that the thrust piston 7.1 is pushed back by the spring 6.1 within the working cylinder 7 and moves the tensioning plates 2.1 and 2.2 back into the tensioned position. For this purpose, the spring 6.1 is designed with a higher spring constant than the opposite spring 6.2 in the working cylinder 8. The thrust piston 7.1 of the working cylinder 7 is held by the spring 6.1 against the stop 9.1, so that the tensioned position and thus the position of the winding tube within the bobbin holder 1 is clearly determined.
[0036] To release the winding tube after the winding of the coil 4 has been completed, the single-acting working cylinder 7 is ventilated via the pressure line 32.1 and the double-acting working cylinder 8 via the pressure line 32.2, so that the thrust pistons 7.1 and 8.1 are moved against the spring forces of the springs 6.1 and 6.2, so that the clamping plates 2.1 and 2.2 release the winding tube 3. This situation is in Fig. 4 shown.
[0037] The Fig. The embodiment of the device according to the invention shown in Figure 1 enables the laying of a thread around the circumference of a winding tube outside of a winding area without additional auxiliary devices for guiding the thread. This allows the thread to be continuously guided by the thread guide 18. The devices required for thread changes, such as a cutting and suction device, are not shown in detail in this embodiment.
[0038] In the Fig. In the embodiment shown in Figure 1, the bobbin is driven by frictional contact with the contact roller 15. However, it is also possible to drive the bobbin tube 3 directly on the bobbin holder 1. For this purpose, Fig. 6 shows a further embodiment of the device according to the invention.
[0039] The Fig. The embodiment shown in Figure 6 is essentially identical to the embodiment according to Fig. 1, so only the essential differences will be explained here.
[0040] In the Fig. In the embodiment shown in Figure 6, a spool drive 11 is assigned to the spool holder 1. In this embodiment, the spool drive 11 is formed by a belt drive 12 and an electric motor 13, which are arranged on the holding arm 1.1 of the spool holder 1. The electric motor 13 of the spool drive 11 is arranged on an inner side of the holding arm 1.1. On the opposite outer side of the holding arm 1.1, a drive wheel 12.2 and a belt wheel 12.3 coupled to the clamping plate 2.1 are arranged. The belt wheel 12.3 and the drive wheel 12.2 are connected to one another via a belt 12.1. In this embodiment, the spool holder 1 is designed to be pivotable and is held in a machine frame (not shown here) via a pivot axis 14.
[0041] For the execution of the clamping plates 2.1 and 2.2, in addition to the Fig. 7 is referred to.
[0042] In Fig. 7 shows a cross-sectional view of the clamping plates 2.1 and 2.2 on the holding arms 1.1 and 1.2 of the spool holder 1. The clamping plate 2.2 on the holding arm 1.2 is essentially identical to the embodiment according to Fig. 1, so that the clamping plate 2.2 is rotatably mounted via a bearing 10.2 on a projecting end of a thrust piston 8.1. The thrust piston 8.1 is guided in the cylinder 8.2 and forms the double-acting working cylinder 8. The function and structure of the working cylinder 8 is identical to the embodiment according to Fig. 2, so that reference is made to the above description at this point.
[0043] The opposite clamping plate 2.1 is connected in a rotationally fixed manner to a thrust sleeve 33, which is axially guided inside a hollow shaft 25. A positive connection is formed between the thrust sleeve 33 and the hollow shaft 25, so that the hollow shaft 25 and the thrust sleeve 33 are rotationally fixedly coupled.
[0044] The hollow shaft 25 is connected to the pulley 12.3 by a projecting end on the outside. Within the holding arm 1.1, the hollow shaft 25 is rotatably supported by a bearing 26. Thus, the torque of the pulley 12.3 is transmitted via the hollow shaft 25 to the thrust sleeve 33 and the clamping plate 2.1.
[0045] A central tension rod 24 and a spring 6.1 are held within the thrust sleeve 33. The spring 6.1 is tensioned between the hollow shaft 25 and the cup-shaped sleeve.
[0046] The pull rod 24 penetrates the hollow shaft on the outside of the holding arm 1.2, with the pull rod 26 having a circumferential stepped collar 35 outside the hollow shaft 25, which on the one hand interacts with a centering 36 formed on the hollow shaft 25, the centering 36 acting as a stop 9.1. The outer collar section of the stepped collar 35 of the pull rod 24 is coupled via a linkage 27 to two working cylinders 7.1 and 7.2 arranged symmetrically to the pull rod 24. The working cylinders 71 and 72 each have a thrust piston 7.1, which jointly engage the linkage 27. By ventilating the single-acting working cylinders 7.1 and 7.2, the rod 27 and thus the drawbar 24 can be moved outwards so that the clamping plate 1.1 with the thrust sleeve 33 is guided into a released position against the spring force of the spring 6.1.
[0047] In the event that an axial displacement of the winding tube 3 into a starting position is initiated via the working cylinder 8 when a winding process is restarted, the tensioning plate 2.1 with the sliding sleeve 33 can be moved relative to the hollow shaft 25 against the spring force of the spring 6.1. In this exemplary embodiment, the spring 6.1 is also designed with a higher spring constant than the opposite spring 6.2 in the double-acting working cylinder 8. Therefore, when the working cylinder 8 is vented, the winding tube with the tensioning plates 2.1 and 2.2 is axially returned to the defined tensioning position.
[0048] The Fig. The embodiment shown in Figure 6 is shown during the winding of a coil 4. In this embodiment, the circumference of the coil 4 rests against the surface of the freely rotatably mounted contact roller 15. The traversing device 17 is identical to the embodiment according to Fig.1. To monitor the thread guide 18, a sensor device 20 is provided, which is connected to a control device 21. Thus, at the start of a new winding according to the aforementioned embodiment, the thread guide 18 can be guided into an end position in order to deposit an incoming thread into a circumferential area of the winding tube 3 that is not affected by a bobbin 4. The length of the thread reserve on the circumference of the winding tube 4 is essentially determined by the length of time the winding tube 4 remains in the starting winding position. This residence time is essentially predetermined by the control device 21, which controls the control valve 23 for venting the working cylinder 8.
