Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to an arrangement comprising a wall collar and a tensioning device according to the preamble of claim 1.
[0002] DE 31 14 464 A1 discloses a sealing device comprising a hub part and a collar-like radial flange extending radially away from its surface. The hub part has an inner surface with a nominal diameter that approximately corresponds to the outer diameter of the pipe to be sealed. On this inner surface, the hub part has a number of radially inwardly extending webs, with which it rests against the outer surface of a pipe to be sealed. By tightening clamping bands, the inner surface of the hub part is pressed tightly onto the outer surface of the pipe to be sealed, forming a tight seal. Furthermore, a certain compression of the material of the hub part near the inner surface, particularly in the area of the webs, is also effected. This results in a certain reduction in the volume of the annular chambers formed between the webs.Since these chambers were filled with gas, preferably air, prior to this volume reduction, this results in an increase in the pressure of the gas enclosed in these chambers. These chambers thus become pressurized gas-filled barrier chambers.
[0003] The use of wall collars for sealing radial wall and / or masonry penetrations is well known and described, for example, in EP 1 363 058 B1. Regardless of the type of pipeline design and material used, wall collars can be used to seal pipelines against standing water or groundwater when integrating them into structures. The wall collars can be made of various elastomer materials, particularly synthetic rubber, such as EPDM (ethylene propylene diene rubber), NBR (nitrile butadiene rubber), etc.
[0004] Wall collars can be used to permanently seal against water pressure from above – for example, in ceiling penetrations – and / or from inside – for example, in swimming pools and / or fire water collection basins – and / or in building basins in flood zones, where groundwater levels are rising, and / or where rainwater is accumulated. The wall collar is first mounted on the pipe to be penetrated and then encased in concrete or mortar using a suitable material.
[0005] As known from DE 201 20 639 U1, the conventional wall collar comprises a sleeve and a sealing collar. The sleeve has a defined inner diameter through which the pipe is pulled. To secure the wall collar to the pipe, a clamp is attached to each side of the sealing collar, ensuring a clean seal between the inner diameter of the wall collar and the outer diameter of the pipe. The sealing collar preferably extends radially outward from the sleeve over a base area with an approximately triangular cross-section. Clamping straps are placed around the wall collar to secure it.
[0006] The disadvantage is that the previously known wall collars are designed with complex materials and manufacturing processes in order to provide sufficient installation and sealing security.
[0007] The object of the invention is therefore to create an arrangement comprising a wall collar and a clamping device which is simple in design and easy to install and which has good sealing properties.
[0008] This problem is solved by the features of claim 1.
[0009] This creates an arrangement consisting of a wall collar and a clamping device, the wall collar of which has a novel profile that allows the accommodation of only one clamping device. For this purpose, a bearing is formed on the sealing sleeve, which transmits the forces introduced into the sealing sleeve by the clamping device on the outside to a ring body surface on the inside of the sealing sleeve. A sealing support surface formed by the ring body surface thus simultaneously serves as a bearing point on a pipe's outer diameter. The clamping device thus assumes the function of guiding the bearing forces towards the ring body surface and acts on the sealing force of the ring body surface to efficiently absorb physical compression forces and simultaneously, largely loss-free, transmit them to the outer circumference of the pipe. The ring body surface forms a kind of tension support, whose ability to deform, given by the elastomer material, creates an overstress at the contact point, i.e. the sealing plane, and thus improves the sealing function on the outer circumference of the pipe.
[0010] The externally applied clamping forces are specifically transferred to the seal contact surface to enhance the sealing functionality. In combination with the ring sealing lips, dead spaces can also be created, enabling the physical formation of a series connection of sealing layers. The diverse functional characteristics build on one another holistically and ultimately deliver a highly intensive sealing function, with the possibility of safety reserves.
[0011] This highly efficient annular body surface located on an inner radially circumferential fitting, particularly in its function as a clamping support, can act as an effective joining bearing in direct dependence on the selected Shore hardness of the elastomer material of the wall collar and / or the applied magnitude of the compression force, which enables a maximum gap-free fit to the selected pipe type and / or to the selected pipe material.
[0012] The inventive wall collar technology thus ensures high safety with multiple functions while using minimal materials. In addition to a significant reduction in production costs through a significant reduction in the use of elastomer materials, combined with a significant reduction in energy consumption, the inventive technology contributes significantly to reducing environmental impact.
[0013] Furthermore, the radial sealing lips of the gasket can have selectable sealing lip profiles, with molded O-rings being particularly advantageous due to their ability to withstand radial and axial deformation. Such sealing lips are easy to handle, robust, and very cost-effective.
[0014] Further embodiments of the invention can be found in the following description and the subclaims.
[0015] The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the embodiments shown in the attached figures. Fig. 1 shows schematically a radial half-section of a wall collar of the arrangement according to the invention according to a first embodiment, Fig. 2 shows schematically a section of the wall collar according to Fig. 1 in an exemplary representation as an extruded profile to illustrate the simple mounting of a clamping device, Fig. 3 shows schematically a sectional view of a wall collar according to a second embodiment, Fig. 4 shows schematically a sectional view of a wall collar according to a third embodiment, Fig. 5 shows schematically a sectional view of a wall collar according to a fourth embodiment.
[0016] As in Fig. 1, the invention relates to a wall collar of an arrangement with a wall collar and a clamping device for sealing pipe penetrations in buildings, in particular walls, floors and shafts, with at least one sealing sleeve 1 that can be pulled onto a pipe (not shown) and is made of at least one elastomeric material, and a sealing collar 2 that is molded onto the sealing sleeve and extends radially outwards. The sealing sleeve 1 and the sealing collar 2 surround the pipe in a ring shape, forming a sealing attachment in the form of an annular space seal, as required for wall collars according to DIN 18195-1 to 7. The entire annular space-shaped sealing attachment formed in this way is preferably made of at least one elastic material. The wall collar can be fastened to a pipe using a clamping device (not shown), which can be placed around the outside of the sealing sleeve 1.
[0017] The sealing sleeve 1 has an inner diameter that matches the outer diameter of the pipe. The radially outwardly extending sealing collar 2 is molded onto an outer side of the sealing sleeve 1.
[0018] How Fig. 1 and Fig. 2, the sealing sleeve 1 has a radially projecting, circumferential annular body surface 3 on the inside as a sealing support surface, the diameter of which determines the inner diameter of the sealing sleeve 1. A circumferential support surface 4 for the clamping device is assigned to the annular body surface 3 on the outside of the sealing sleeve 1. The annular body surface 3 and the support surface 4 together form a clamping bearing, which transfers the clamping forces introduced by the clamping device to the outer circumference of the pipe to which the wall collar is attached. Therefore, the sealing sleeve 1 is preferably made of solid material in this casing section.
[0019] The wall collar has a clamping support with the ring body surface 3 below the support surface 4, in particular directly below the support surface 4, which can ensure a precise form fit with the outer circumference of the pipe when pre-tensioned by a clamping device.
[0020] The width of the annular body surface 3 in the axial direction is preferably determined by the function of the annular body surface 3 as a clamping support of the clamping bearing formed in conjunction with the support surface 4. The width of the annular body surface 3 is therefore preferably in the range of the width of a clamping band or a cable tie, which can be provided, for example, as a clamping device. Widths of 5 to 25 mm are exemplary sizes. The upper side of the annular body surface 3, i.e., the seal support surface, can be smooth or grooved.
[0021] At least one radial, circumferential annular sealing lip 5, 15 is provided on the inside of the sealing sleeve 1 on both sides, spaced apart from the annular body surface 3. The annular sealing lips 5, 15 are preferably arranged on the edge of the sealing sleeve 1 and thus form circumferential sealing webs, preferably at the end of the sealing sleeve 1, which protrude inward in the same direction as the annular body surface 3. The two annular sealing lips 5, 15 each define at least one annular circumferential recess 6, 7 extending from the annular body surface 3.
[0022] The sealing sleeve 1 is designed asymmetrically to the sealing collar 2, in which a clamping band support surface 4 is provided on only one side for the one-sided attachment of a clamping band. A significant advantage of the profiling according to the invention, as described above, is that only one clamping device is sufficient to securely attach the wall collar to a pipe's outer circumference with good sealing properties. A fully functional joint bearing is provided according to the invention for the single clamping device.
[0023] The sealing collar 2 preferably extends from the sealing sleeve 1 over a base area 8 with a triangular cross-section. This creates structurally inclined planes 9 that enable maximum form-fit with the building materials when installing the wall collar. The sealing collar 2 can also have a circumferential radial sealing lip 10 on the edge.
[0024] The annular body surface 3 and the annular sealing lips 5, 15 preferably form a sealing surface system consisting of spaced-apart annular profile sealing planes arranged in series. At least one intermediate space adjacent to the annular body surface 3 is formed by the circumferential recesses 6, 7. The inner annular profile described as an example, formed by the annular body surface 3, the annular sealing lips 5, 15, and the recesses 6, 7, is therefore preferably designed such that at least two dead spaces are formed when resting on an outer pipe circumference. A structural dead space formation is thus part of the inventive profiling of the wall collar.
[0025] The at least two circumferential spaces 11, 12 formed by the circumferential recesses 6, 7 have different axial lengths. Fig. 1 to Fig. 5, the intermediate space 11 of the at least two intermediate spaces 11, 12 with the greater axial length is arranged on the inside where the sealing collar 2 extends on the outside. Thus, there is preferably a large intermediate space 11 and a small intermediate space 12. Large means that the large intermediate space 11 has a volume at least twice that of the small intermediate space 12.
[0026] The ring sealing lips 5, 15 on the inside of the sealing sleeve 1 can be designed as molded, circumferential sealing split rings with a curved sealing lip profile, as shown in Fig. 1 and Fig. 2. The sealing split rings of the ring sealing lips 5, 15 are then in the form of an O-ring or rectangular ring, as in Fig. 4 shown, formed.
[0027] The sealing split rings of the ring sealing lips 5, 15 can alternatively be chamfered flat or obliquely, as in Fig. 5 shown.
[0028] The sealing lip 10 on the sealing collar 2 can be designed in the same way as the ring sealing lips 5, 15, as in Fig. 1 to Fig. 5. Alternatively, the sealing lip 10 can also have a different lip profile.
[0029] According to a second embodiment, as shown in Fig. 3, sealing ring cams 13, 14 can be provided on the sealing collar 2 in order to improve the connection of a building material.
[0030] The elastomer material for the wall collar can be rubber or synthetic rubber, preferably with a hardness of 30 Shore A to 50 Shore A. Synthetic rubbers such as NBR (nitrile rubber), EPDM (ethylene propylene diene rubber), and FKM (fluororubber) can be used.
[0031] The wall collar can be manufactured using an extruded profile by means of radial joining, e.g. gluing, vulcanizing, etc.
[0032] When installing the wall collar, the entire unit—in this case, the pipe and the attached wall collar—is completely encased in mortar or concrete. Compacting the flowable and not yet hardened building materials is crucial. The maximum geodetic pressure now created permanently clamps the wall collar. Once the building materials have hardened, a permanent seal is created between the masonry and / or concrete.
[0033] The above-described arrangement of a wall collar and a clamping device can be tightened or clamped onto a wide variety of pipe materials, such as metal, alloys, plastics, stoneware, concrete, etc. The pipe materials are preferably closed-pore, but can be smooth and / or profiled.
