Description

[0001] The invention relates to a rotating device assembly for a toy.

[0002] Rotating device assemblies for toys are known from the market as wheels, rollers or other rotors.

[0003] WO 93 / 08887 A1 discloses a cylindrical screw part for a toy. The screw part has a shaft and a threaded portion with an external thread extending over one thread pitch. A wheel is connected to the shaft in a rotationally fixed manner. The screw part can be arranged on a cuboid-shaped element, which has an opening provided with an internal thread for this purpose. The screw part has a head with an opening designed to accommodate a special tightening tool. This rotating device assembly is not particularly user-friendly.

[0004] DE 10 2013 006 372 A1 discloses a fastening device for a spare wheel of a vehicle. The fastening device comprises a fastening nut and a fastening pin fixed to the vehicle.

[0005] WO 01 / 36063 A2 discloses a toy vehicle with interchangeable wheels. A bushing is mounted on an axle extending outward to the side. A sleeve, which in turn carries a tire, is screwed onto the bushing.

[0006] US 2,634,168 A discloses wheels for a model aircraft. According to one embodiment, a hub sits on an axle. The axle and the hub are connected to each other in a rotationally fixed manner. The hub is threaded to two rim parts and has a radially outwardly projecting collar at the end to prevent screwing in. This known wheel is not particularly easy to manufacture and assemble.

[0007] It is an object of the present invention to design such a rotating device assembly to be dismantled in order to enhance the gaming experience, whereby this should be accompanied by low manufacturing and assembly costs for the rotating device assembly.

[0008] This object is achieved according to the invention by a rotating device assembly having the features specified in claim 1.

[0009] The disc part can be a wheel rim, a pulley, for example a cable pulley, or another rotor part. According to the invention, the rotationally fixed screw connection of the hub part to the disc part is possible without an additional fastening element, in particular without an additional nut. The internal thread can be formed on the disc part. The external thread can be formed on the hub part. The contact surface can serve as a positioning aid when placing the disc part on the hub part during assembly. This makes assembly easier, especially for children. The contact surface saves material. In addition, the contact surface segments are designed to have a gap in the circumferential direction with thread segments of the external thread. This makes it possible to design the hub part as an easily demolded injection-molded plastic part. A plurality of thread segments facilitates screwing together the threaded components of the threaded connection.

[0010] A rotatable connection of the hub part to the axle component according to claim 2 allows the hub part to be rotated relative to the axle component. Even with the axle stationary, the hub part can then be rotated to fasten or loosen the disc part. In the case of a hub part of a vehicle hub, a desired differential effect is also achieved.

[0011] In an embodiment of the threaded connection as a left-hand thread according to claim 3, the inner hub part can be rotated relative to the fixed outer disc part during screwing, whereby the left-hand thread ensures that an intuitive turning of the hub part clockwise nevertheless leads to the screwing of the hub part to the disc part.

[0012] An internal thread according to claim 4 has a circumferential extension of at most 360°. In such a design, the disc part can be designed as an easily demoldable injection-molded plastic part. The circumferential extension of the internal thread can be less than 360° and, for example, 350°.

[0013] The advantages of a toy according to claim 5 correspond to those explained above with reference to the rotating device assembly. The toy may be a toy vehicle.

[0014] An assembly according to claim 6 offers corresponding advantages. The use of the socket wrench makes it possible to construct the hub part without a rotary actuation element, allowing the hub part to be designed realistically, close to a real model. Alternatively, a wing attachment for rotary actuation can be molded onto the hub part, for example. In this case, a socket wrench can also be omitted.

[0015] A socket wrench according to claim 7 leads to the advantages already explained above with reference to the mounting assembly.

[0016] Embodiments of the invention are explained in more detail below with reference to the drawings, in which: Fig. 1 in an exploded view an assembly with a rotating device assembly for a toy and with a socket wrench for assembling the rotating device assembly; Fig. 2 in one to Fig. 1 similar representation, a further representation of an assembly with a rotating device assembly for a toy and a socket wrench; Fig. 3 shows a perspective section of a further embodiment of a rotating device assembly for a toy, in which a hub part is connected in a rotationally fixed manner to a disc part designed as a wheel rim; and Fig. 4 the rotating device assembly according to Fig. 3, in which the hub part is detached from the disc part and in which the disc part is shown in an axial section and the hub part in a side view.

[0017] One in the Fig. The assembly 1 shown in Figure 1 is part of a toy, for example, a toy vehicle. The assembly 1 includes a rotating device assembly 2 and a socket wrench 3.

[0018] The rotating device assembly 2 has an axle component 3a, which defines a rotational axis of the rotating device assembly 2. In addition, the rotating device assembly 2 has a hub part 5, which is connected to the axle component 3a, and a disc part 6. The disc part 6 can be, for example, a wheel rim, which is described below in particular with reference to the Fig. 3 and Fig. 4, or another rotatable toy component, for example, a rotor element or a roller element, such as the roller part of a rope pulley. The disc part 6 can be screwed to the hub part 5 in a rotationally fixed manner via a threaded connection.

[0019] This threaded connection comprises an external thread 7, which is a component of the hub part 5. The external thread 7 is designed as a plurality of thread segments 8 spaced from one another in the circumferential direction around the rotation axis 4. Furthermore, the threaded connection has an internal thread 9 complementary to the external thread 7, which is a component of the disc part 6. The external thread 7 is integrally formed on the hub part 5. The internal thread 9 is integrally formed on the disc part 6.

[0020] The internal thread 9 has only one thread, which extends a maximum of 360° around the rotation axis 4. In the design according to Fig. 1, this circumferential extension of the internal thread 9 is less than 360°, whereby the disc part 6 can be manufactured as an easily demouldable injection-molded plastic part.

[0021] The hub part 5 also has a contact surface 10 as an abutment for the screwed-on disc part 6. When the disc part 6 is not yet screwed on, the contact surface 10 serves to position the disc part 6 on the hub part 5.

[0022] The contact surface 10 comprises a plurality of contact surface segments 11 spaced apart from one another in the circumferential direction around the rotation axis 4. Viewed in the circumferential direction, the contact surface segments 11 are arranged in a gap with the threaded segments 8. This facilitates demolding of the hub part 5 when designed as an injection-molded plastic part.

[0023] The threaded connection with the external thread 7 and the complementary internal thread 9 is designed as a left-hand thread.

[0024] The extension wrench 3 has a socket wrench peripheral contour 12, which is complementary to a counter-wrench contour 13 of the hub part 5. For this purpose, the socket wrench peripheral contour 12 has a plurality of bulges, which are designed to complement dummy nuts 14, which in turn are integrally formed on the hub part 5.

[0025] To assemble the rotating device assembly, the disc part 6 is placed onto the hub part 5 so that the internal thread 9 of the disc part 6 comes into contact with the thread segments 8 of the external thread 7 of the hub part 5. The contact surface segments 11, against which the front side of the disc part 6 rests, serve as a positioning aid. The socket wrench 3 is then placed onto the hub part 5, with the socket wrench peripheral contour 12 positively engaging the counter-wrench contour 13 of the hub part 5. The socket wrench 3 is now turned clockwise, with an actuating wing 15 of the socket wrench 3 being grasped by the operator between the thumb and index finger. During this turning operation of the socket wrench 3, the hub part 5 is rotated clockwise relative to the held disc part 6.The left-hand thread design of the threaded connection ensures that the external thread 7 of the hub part 5 engages with the internal thread 9 of the disc part 6. When the threaded connection 7, 9 is tightened, the disc part 6 is held or clamped in a form-fitting manner between the threaded segments 8 and the contact surface segments 11. This creates a secure and rotationally fixed connection between the hub part 5 and the disc part 6. The socket wrench 3 can then be removed. An additional fastening nut is not required.

[0026] Based on the Fig. 2, a further embodiment of a mounting assembly 16 is explained below. Components and functions corresponding to those described above with reference to the Fig. 1 have already been explained, have the same reference numbers and will not be discussed in detail again.

[0027] The assembly group 16 in turn has a hub part 5 and a disc part 6.

[0028] The hub part 5 is rotatably connected to an axle component 17 in the assembly assembly 16, which can be designed as a rigid axle. This rotatable connection of the axle component 17 with the hub part 5 of the rotating device assembly 2 according to Fig. 2 is formed within a press fit of the axle component 17 in the hub part 5. This rotatable connection is made possible by an axial profiling 18 of the axle component 17, which is designed as a sawtooth profiling. Fig. Figure 2 shows this profiling 18 for a second hub part 5, which is identical to the illustrated hub part 5 and is mounted on the axle component 17 from the other side as part of another rotating device assembly. Due to the profiling 18, the respective hub part 15 can rotate relative to the axle component 17 about the rotation axis 4.

[0029] The contact surface 10 of the rotary device assembly 2 is Fig. 2 as a component of a ceiling wall of a hub pot 19 of the hub part 5.

[0030] Based on the Fig. 3 and Fig. 4, a further embodiment of a rotary device assembly 20 is explained below. Components and functions corresponding to those described above with reference to the Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 have already been explained, have the same reference numbers and will not be discussed in detail again.

[0031] In the rotating device assembly 20, the disc part is designed as a wheel rim 21 of a toy vehicle wheel 22.

[0032] A socket wrench of the type 3 can also be used for the rotating device assembly 20.

[0033] The toy of which the toy vehicle wheel 22 is a part can be a tractor, a truck, a crane vehicle or another vehicle, for example a trailer.

[0034] The entire assembly group 1, 16 as well as the rotating device group 2, 20 can be manufactured exclusively with plastic components.
