Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a connecting strut.
[0002] DE 10 2013 007 284 A1 discloses a connecting strut for a motor vehicle, which is used, for example, as a chassis component, in particular as an anchor, stabilizer, or the like. The connecting strut known from this prior art has a base body referred to as a rod section, with both ends of the rod section forming bearing eyes, each of which runs transversely to a longitudinal axis of the rod section. The connecting strut of DE 10 2013 007 284 A1 is made at least partially of a fiber-reinforced plastic, which is at least partially formed by prepregs.
[0003] DE 698 36 028 T2 discloses a connecting element which consists of a connecting rod and end pieces which are arranged at opposite ends of the connecting rod and are fastened to the same.
[0004] DE 101 53 799 A1 discloses a power transmission strut, namely an axle strut of a truck, comprising a base body with bearing receptacles formed at the ends of the base body. The base body comprises a metal insert surrounded by a plastic material.
[0005] There is a need to improve a connecting strut of a motor vehicle, which is designed in particular as a chassis control arm, so that the connecting strut can absorb tensile forces and compressive forces more effectively.
[0006] The object of the invention is to create a novel connecting strut.
[0007] This object is achieved by a connecting strut according to patent claim 1.
[0008] The connecting strut according to the invention has a base body made of a fiber-reinforced plastic, which forms a first connection section at a first end and a second connection section at a second end for each bearing body.
[0009] The connecting strut according to the invention further comprises bearing bodies made of a preferably metallic material, wherein a bearing body is fastened to each connecting section of the base body.
[0010] The connecting strut according to the invention further comprises bands for absorbing tensile forces, which extend along the base body between the connecting sections thereof and which are guided on the bearing bodies.
[0011] The connecting strut according to the invention consisting of the base body, the bearing bodies and the bands can optimally absorb tensile forces acting on the connecting strut during operation.
[0012] A first bearing body with an outer guide section and an inner guide section, each for a belt, is positioned at the first connection section of the base body and connected to the base body. A second bearing body with an outer guide section and an inner guide section, each for a belt, is positioned at the second connection section of the base body and connected to the base body.
[0013] A first band is guided along the outer guide portion of the first bearing body and the inner guide portion of the second bearing body. A second band is guided along the inner guide portion of the first bearing body and the outer guide portion of the second bearing body.
[0014] Tensile and compressive forces acting on the connecting strut according to the invention during operation can be optimally absorbed by the connecting strut.
[0015] According to a further development of the invention, the bands are designed as highly rigid bands, preferably made of carbon fibers, which are connected to the base body, which is preferably made of a carbon fiber-reinforced plastic, via a plastic matrix material, and which extend along the shortest possible path between the bearing bodies. Such low-extensibility bands made of carbon fibers, which are connected to the base body via the plastic matrix material, can optimally absorb tensile forces acting on the connecting strut during operation.
[0016] The outer guide sections of the bearing bodies are preferably formed by curved outer surfaces of the bearing bodies. The inner guide sections of the bearing bodies are formed by recesses in the bearing bodies.
[0017] This further development of the invention also serves to optimally absorb tensile and compressive forces acting on the connecting strut during operation.
[0018] According to a further development, the first connecting section and the second connecting section are rotated between 0° and 90° relative to each other, so that the bearing bodies attached to the connecting sections are also rotated between 0° and 90° relative to each other. The bearing axes of the bearing bodies run approximately orthogonally or orthogonally to a longitudinal axis of the base body, while at the same time they are rotated between 0° and 90° relative to each other. This not only enables optimal integration of the connecting strut, for example, in a chassis, but also allows for optimal absorption of forces acting on the connecting strut during operation.
[0019] Preferred developments of the invention will become apparent from the dependent claims and the following description. Exemplary embodiments of the invention are explained in more detail, without being limited thereto, with reference to the drawings. Herein: Fig. 1 a plan view of a connecting strut according to the invention; Fig. 2 a detail of the Fig. 1; Fig. 3 a perspective view of a connecting strut according to the invention; Fig. 4 a detail of the Fig. 3; Fig. 5 a bearing body in a single representation; and Fig. 6 a second view of the bearing body of the Fig. 5.
[0020] Fig. 1 and Fig. 3 show different views of a preferred embodiment of a connecting strut 10 according to the invention of a motor vehicle, which is preferably designed as a control arm of a chassis or for stiffening the body.
[0021] The connecting strut 10 has a base body 11 made of a fiber-reinforced plastic. A first connection section 12 is formed at a first end of the base body 11, and a second connection section 13 is formed at an opposite second end of the base body 11, each for a bearing body.
[0022] A central section 14 of the base body 11 extends between these two connecting sections 12, 13.
[0023] The connecting strut 10 also has bearing bodies 15, 16. The bearing bodies 15, 16 are made of a metallic material, a rubber material or any other suitable material.
[0024] A bearing body 15, 16 is attached to each connecting section 12, 13 of the base body 11. The bearing bodies 15, 16 provide bearing eyes 17, wherein Fig. 1 to 4 extend through the bearing eyes 17 of the bearing bodies 15, 16 bearing bolts 18.
[0025] The connecting strut 10 also features integrated unidirectional bands 19, 20 for absorbing tensile and compressive forces. The bands 19, 20 extend along the base body 11 between the connecting sections 12, 13 of the base body 11 and are guided on the bearing bodies 15, 16. Alternatively, the unidirectional bands 19, 20 can end at the central section.
[0026] The first bearing body 16, positioned on the first connection section 12 of the base body 11, defines an outer guide section 16a and an inner guide section 16b for each band 19 or 20. Likewise, the second bearing body 15, which is positioned on the second connection section 13 of the base body 11 and is connected to the base body 11 at this second connection section 13, defines an outer guide section 15a and an inner guide section 15b for each band 19 or 20.
[0027] A first band 19 is guided on the outer guide section 16a of the first bearing body 16 and on the inner guide section 15b of the second bearing body 15. A second band 20 is guided on the inner guide section 16b of the first bearing body 16 and on the outer guide section 15a of the second bearing body 15.
[0028] The outer guide sections 16a, 15a of the two bearing bodies 16, 15 are formed by curved outer surfaces of the respective bearing body 16, 15, wherein according to Fig. 6 on the curved outer surface of the respective bearing body 15, 16 a guide groove 21 is formed for the respective band 19 or 20 to be guided.
[0029] The inner guide sections 16b, 15b of the bearing bodies 16, 15 are formed by recesses that penetrate the respective bearing body 15, 16.
[0030] As already explained, the base body 11 of the connecting strut 10 is formed from a fiber-reinforced plastic, preferably from a fiber-reinforced plastic.
[0031] Bands 19 and 20 are designed as barely stretchable bands. Bands 19 and 20 are made of unidirectional carbon fibers.
[0032] The bands 19, 20 are connected to the base body 11 via a plastic matrix material.
[0033] In the embodiment shown, the first connecting section 12 of the base body 11 and the second connecting section 13 of the base body 11 are rotated by approximately 90° or by 90° relative to one another, so that the bearing bodies 15, 16 fastened to the connecting sections 12, 13 of the base body 11 are also rotated by approximately 90° or by 90° relative to one another.
[0034] Each of the bearing bodies 15, 16 defines the respective bearing eye 17, in which the respective bearing pin 18 is received. Bearing axes of the bearing bodies 15, 16, i.e., bearing axes of the bearing eyes 17, each run approximately orthogonally or orthogonally to a longitudinal axis of the base body 11, which extends from the first connection section 12 toward the second connection section 13. Furthermore, the bearing axes of the bearing eyes 17 are rotated relative to each other by between 0° and 90°.
[0035] When the bearing bodies 15, 16 are rotated relative to one another in this way, each of the bands 20, 21 extends along the base body 11 in the longitudinal direction thereof and is guided on the one hand on an outer guide section of one bearing body 15, 16 and on the other hand on an inner guide section of the other bearing body 16, 15. If the two connecting sections 12, 13 and thus also the two bearing bodies 15, 16 were not rotated relative to one another and thus the bearing axes 17 of the bearing bodies 15, 16 ran parallel to one another, one band would be guided on the two outer guide sections of the two bearing bodies 15, 16 and the respective other band would be guided on the two inner guide sections of the two bearing bodies 15, 16.
[0036] The base body 11 has a rod-like, rectangular cross-sectional contour with a long side and a narrow side. Such a rectangular contour is present in both the first connecting section 12 and the second connecting section 13. In the central section 14, the base body 11 has a twist, so that at the connecting sections 12, 13, the rectangular cross-sectional contours are rotated between 0° and 90° relative to each other with respect to the orientation of the long sides and the narrow sides.
[0037] It can be seen from the figures that a band 19, 20, which is guided on an outer guide surface 16a, 15a of a bearing body 16 or 15, merges from this outer guide section 16a, 15a into the region of the narrow side of the respective connecting section 12, 13 and is guided on this narrow side of the connecting section 12, 13 of the base body 11.
[0038] If, however, the band 19, 20 is guided in the area of a bearing body 15, 16 in the area of the inner guide section 16b, 15b thereof, immediately adjacent sections of the respective band 19, 20 extend over the longitudinal side of the respective connecting section 12 or 13 of the base body 11 and are then guided on this longitudinal side.
[0039] The connecting strut 10 according to the invention has a low weight and can safely and reliably absorb high tensile forces and compressive forces acting on it during operation.
[0040] The respective band 19, 20 extends along the shortest path between the respective guide sections 12, 13 or the two bearing bodies 15, 16 on which the respective band 19, 20 is guided.
