Abstract
Description
FIELD OF TECHNOLOGY
[0001] The present application relates to a seat adjustment structure and a child safety seat comprising the seat adjustment structure. BACKGROUND
[0002] A child safety seat is a common device that can be adjusted for small children of different ages. Designed to keep children safe while driving, it can limit dangerous behavior in cars and protect children from injury in accidents such as collisions. Common adjustment functions for child seats are disclosed, for example, in DE 202 15 837 U1, CN 206 561 787 U, and DE 38 09 968 A1.
[0003] Child safety seats are generally equipped with a seat tilt adjustment structure, which allows the seat to be adjusted to an upright or reclined position according to the child's needs. However, a standard seat tilt adjustment structure is usually complicated, making the child safety seat difficult to install and resulting in increased costs.
[0004] In addition, in some usage scenarios, the child safety seat must include both forward and backward adjustment functions. This means the seat must be able to rotate around a generally vertical axis, allowing the seat to face forward, backward, or sideways. Under these circumstances, a new requirement arises for the child safety seat's tilt angle adjustment structure: The tilt angle adjustment structure must have a more flexible handling mode, allowing the user to easily adjust the seat's tilt angle while the seat is facing in any direction.
[0005] The object of the present invention is to solve at least one of these problems. This problem is solved by a seat adjustment structure according to claim 1 or a child safety seat according to a subordinate claim. SUMMARY

DETAILED DESCRIPTION
[0009] Although the disclosure is illustrated and described herein with reference to specific embodiments, the disclosure is not intended to be limited to the details shown. In particular, various modifications may be made to these details within the scope of the equivalents of the claims and without departing from the disclosure.
[0010] Directional terms such as "front", "back", "top" and "bottom" contained in this document are for convenience only, and the disclosure is not limited to these directions, but may be adjusted according to the actual situation.
[0011] A child safety seat according to the application is described with reference to the Fig. 1A-2 generally explained.
[0012] As shown, the child safety seat comprises a base 300 and a seat 200. The base 300 is a part that secures the entire child safety seat, for example, to a rear seat of a car, and the seat 200 is supported on the base 300 and is used for a child to sit on. The seat 200 is attached to the base 300 via a seat adjustment structure 100, more specifically to a rotatable disc 310 (see Fig. 3A-3B) located on an upper surface of the base 300. An overall assembly sequence of the child safety seat from top to bottom is approximately the seat 200, the seat adjustment structure 100, the rotatable disc 310, and the base 300. In the application, the seat adjustment structure 100 enables movement of the seat 200 relative to the base 300 in a front-to-rear direction. Because the seat adjustment structure 100 is attached to the rotatable disc 310, the rotatable disc 310 enables rotation of the seat 200 relative to the base 300 about a longitudinal axis. However, it should be understood that the seat adjustment structure 100 of the application does not necessarily have to cooperate with the rotatable disc 310, but may be connected to the base 300 through other rotatable structure(s) or may be attached directly to the base 300.
[0013] The seat adjustment structure 100 of the application will now be described with reference to the Fig. 3A-3B are described in more detail.
[0014] As illustrated, the seat adjustment structure 100 includes a plurality of components, such as a handling member 110, a seat support 120, engagement members 130, and a locking assembly 140. The handling member 110 is a component located outside the seat 200 and operable by the user. The seat support 120 is a component attached to the seat 200 to support the seat 200. The engagement members 130 are each a component attached to the base 300. The locking assembly 140 is attached to the seat support 120 and serves to lock and unlock a positional relationship between the seat support 120 and the engaging elements 130. The handling element 110 is connected to the locking assembly 140 via a cable 190 so that the user can operate the locking assembly 140.In other embodiments, the engagement members 130 may be attached to the seat support 120 and the locking assembly 140 may be attached to the base 300.
[0015] The handling element 110 is a handle that is inserted into the seat 200 and can move vertically (see Fig. 6A-7). The cable 190 is connected between the handling element 110 and the locking assembly 140. A guide element is arranged below the handling element 110 to guide the cable 190, which connects from below the seat 200 to the locking assembly 140, along an arc. A structure within the locking assembly 140 can convert a longitudinal movement of the cable 190 (described in detail below) into a lateral movement (Y-axis direction). In this way, a vertical movement of the handling element 110 is ultimately converted into a lateral movement of a locking pin in the locking assembly 140.
[0016] The seat support 120 is a tubular component that extends from a bottom of the seat 200 to a rear of the seat 200 along an arcuate path. In this embodiment, the seat support 120 extends substantially horizontally (i.e., runs longitudinally) at the bottom of the seat 200 and gradually transitions to a substantially vertical extension at the rear of the seat 200. In this embodiment, two seat supports 120 are arranged in parallel on both the left and right sides of the seat 200. It should be understood that the shape and number of the seat supports 120 can be determined according to the specific requirements of the seat 200 and are not limited to the shape and number in the embodiments of the application.
[0017] Each of the engagement elements 130 is a planar component that is attached to the base 300 and includes two side plates 131 that extend substantially along an inner direction of the seat support 120 and have a shorter length than that of the seat support 120. In this embodiment, two pairs of engagement elements 130 are arranged, with one pair of engagement elements 130 being arranged at positions on the bottom of the seat 200 and thus extending substantially longitudinally; and the other pair of engagement elements 130 being arranged at positions on the rear of the seat 200 and thus extending substantially vertically. In other embodiments, only one pair of engagement elements 130 may be arranged. In this embodiment, the locking assembly 140 is disposed only on the engaging elements 130 at positions on the floor, and in other embodiments, the locking assembly 140 may be disposed on each pair of engaging elements 130.
[0018] A plurality of engagement holes 132 are formed on one of the side plates 131 of each engagement member 130. The engagement holes 132 are arranged along a moving direction (ie, the longitudinal direction) of the seat 200, and the distance between the engagement holes 132 is designed such that the engagement holes 132 are suitable for simultaneous engagement by two foot portions 171 (see Fig. 4-5) of an engagement pin 170 in the locking assembly 140. Sliding slots 133 are arranged above the engagement holes 132. The extension direction of the sliding slots 133 is the same as the arrangement directions of the engagement holes 132, and the widths of the sliding slots 133 are suitable for being passed by a crossbar 180. In other embodiments, the sliding slots 133 can also be arranged below the engagement holes 132.
[0019] The locking assembly 140 is a box-shaped component that extends between a pair of engaging elements 130. The crossbar 180 passes laterally through and is secured to the locking assembly 140 and extends outwardly from both lateral sides of the locking assembly 140. Both ends of the crossbar 180 are attached to the seat support 120 by passing through the sliding slots 133 on the engaging elements 130. In this way, relative sliding between the engaging elements 130 and the locking assembly 140 is enabled by the crossbar 180 and the sliding slots 133, and sliding paths of the engaging elements 130 are defined.
[0020] The rotatable disc 310 is located below the engaging elements 130. The rotatable disc 310 is connected to the base 300 via a vertical rotating shaft 320 to rotate around the vertical direction.
[0021] In this way, the rotatable disc 310 realizes the rotating function of the seat 200, and the seat adjustment structure 100 realizes the moving function of the seat 200 along the extending direction of the seat support 120. In the present embodiment, the extending direction of the seat support 120 is an arc, and in other embodiments, the extending direction of the seat support 120 may also be a straight line or another shape.
[0022] The concrete structure of the locking assembly 140 is described with reference to the Fig. 4-5 described.
[0023] As shown, the locking assembly 140 includes a fixed seat 160, a positioning cover 150, a pair of engagement pins 170, resilient return members 175, and reinforcing members 166.
[0024] The fixed seat 160 extends laterally and includes a bottom wall 161, two side walls 163 on both sides of the lateral direction, and two end walls 162 at both ends of the lateral direction, thereby defining a receiving space. A cable hole 165, through which the cable 190 can be longitudinally passed into the receiving space, is located at a lateral center of one of the side walls 163 of the fixed seat 160. Each of the end walls 162 is provided with pin holes 164 and crossbar holes 167. Among them, two pin holes 164 are provided at lower parts of the end walls 162 and distributed in the longitudinal direction; and two crossbar holes 167 are provided at upper parts of the end walls 162 and correspond to the middle positions of the two pin holes 164.
[0025] The positioning cover 150 is mounted on the fixed seat 160 and covers the receiving space. The positioning cover 150 is substantially parallel to the bottom wall 161 of the fixed seat 160 and is arranged vertically between the pin holes 164 and the crossbar holes 167. A side of the positioning cover 150 facing the bottom wall 161 is provided with cable guide portions (not shown) for guiding the cable 190 to extend laterally.
[0026] Each of the engagement pins 170 is approximately U-shaped and includes a connecting portion 172 and two foot portions 171. The foot portions 171 each extend in the lateral direction, are inserted into the pin holes 164 in the lateral end walls 162 of the fixed seat 160, and can protrude from the locking assembly 140 to be inserted into the corresponding engagement holes 132. The connecting portion 172 is connected between the two foot portions 171 and is located in the receiving space to position the engagement pins 170 in the locking assembly 140.
[0027] Each of the elastic return members 175 abuts with one end against the fixed seat 160 of the locking assembly 140 or the positioning cover 150, and with the other end against the connecting portion 172 to exert a pushing force on the engaging pins 170 to protrude from the locking assembly 140. In this way, the engaging pins 170 tend to protrude from the locking assembly 140.
[0028] The reinforcement members 166 are attached to outer sides of the end walls 162 of the fixed seat 160 to reinforce the structure of the locking assembly 140.
[0029] One end of the cable 190 is connected to the handling element 110, and the other end of the cable 190 is split into two branch cables 190 after passing through the cable hole 165. Furthermore, the two branch cables 190 extend laterally over corresponding cable guide portions and are connected to the corresponding engagement pins 170. The cable guide portions are arranged on the side of the positioning cover 150 facing the bottom wall 161. In one embodiment, the cable guide portions are designed as cable grooves, and the cable grooves are approximately quarter-circular arc grooves that extend curvedly from the cable hole 165 toward the engagement pins 170 to accommodate the branch cables 190 and define the movement paths of the branch cables 190.In another embodiment, the cable guide sections are designed as rollers that are rotatable about a vertical axis to support the branch cables 190 and to rotate the branch cables 190 from the longitudinal direction to the lateral direction.
[0030] In this way, by routing the cable 190, when the user pulls the handling member 110 upward, the engaging pins 170 are retracted into the locking assembly 140, thereby unlocking the positional relationship between the locking assembly 140 and the engaging members 130 to allow relative longitudinal movement between the seat 200 and the base 300. When the user releases the handling member 110, the engaging pins 170 extend from the locking assembly 140 to be inserted into the engaging members 130, thereby locking the relative longitudinal movement between the seat 200 and the base 300.
[0031] With reference to the Fig. 6A-6B describe advantages of the seat adjustment structure of the application.
[0032] In Fig. 6A, the seat 200 is in a position facing the front of the base 300 (right in the figure), and in Fig. 6B, the seat 200 is in a position facing the rear of the base 300 (on the left in the figure). It is clear that regardless of the direction in which the seat 200 is rotated, the user can easily pull the handle 110 to unlock the relative longitudinal movement between the seat 200 and the base 300. However, since in some prior art designs, the handle connected to the locking assembly is designed to extend in the same direction as the direction of movement of the seat, that is, the user must pull or push the handle along the longitudinal direction, the user's pulling or pushing of the handle when the seat is facing rearward may accordingly interfere with the backrest of the rear seat of the vehicle, so that it may be difficult for the user to use the handle.
[0033] The positional relationship between the locking assembly 140 and the engaging elements 130 is also apparent from the Fig. 6A-6B. Since each engagement element 130 is provided with a plurality of engagement holes 132, the locking assembly 140 can lock the seat 200 in various longitudinal positions.
