Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a climbing riser set. In particular, the present invention relates to a climbing walkway set, by means of which a climbing chord can be connected to a climbing walkway. The climbing walkway set is known to be equipment used on a climbing walkway to ensure the safety of the user. The climbing riser set provides a secure connection between the user's harness and the connecting elements attached to the wall.As is known and with particular reference to Figure 1, which shows an example of a climbing walkway set according to the prior art, the climbing walkway set essentially comprises: a connecting loop 16 for connection to an operating loop (or binding or securing loop) 14 of the belt 13, a fall damper 18, a latching loop 20 and two arms 22, 26, at the ends of which respectively carabiners 24, 28 are arranged. The purpose and mode of operation of the climbing walkway set are sufficiently known, for which reason they will not be discussed in more detail here. One of the possibilities offered by a climbing walkway set is the possibility of resting itself during a climbing walkway. Indeed, a stop may be necessary if the climbing walkway is particularly demanding, or a duty if the climbing walkway is, for example, particularly heavily frequented and one has to wait for a long time at a specific location. For this purpose, it is known to use an additional carabiner to connect the locking loop to the fastening elements of the climbing walkway. In this way, the user can rest in a kind of sitting position in the climbing strap, while at the same time keeping a smaller distance from the climbing device. If he wanted to use the carabiners 24, 28 and then the arms 22, 26 for the same purpose, he would be at a distance of almost two meters. In the event of the user slipping off, the impact is cushioned by the fall damper located within the chain of elements connecting the user to the climbing walkway attachment elements, namely between the belt and the latching loop.DE 603 13 061 T2 discloses a fastening device with an energy absorbing device and a safety line. The publication ("Know-how Climbing Walkway", IN: Alpin Extra, 8, 2008, 1-23, Link to the document (called on 15.4.2024) https: / / services.alpenverein.de / cameleon / public(18019 / extrs-supplement_creleter Climbing Walkway_2008_18019.pdf) discloses knowledge of the climbing walkway. The known climbing walkway sets are in fact widely used and appreciated, but also have their mosquitos. Thus, for example, the damper which is located between the connecting loop and the latching loop is useful in the event of a fall, but is disadvantageous in the event of normal activities on a climbing walkway.Because the damper is relatively heavy compared to the other elements of the climbing walkway set, it can move during climbing, hit the legs of the user, etc., resulting in a cumbersome, uncomfortable and cumbersome element. There is therefore a need to solve the inconveniences and limitations mentioned with respect to the prior art.It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a climbing walkway set which is easier and more uncomplicated to use when the user wishes to assume a rest position during a climbing walkway. Moreover, it is an object of the present invention to provide a climbing walkway set which is more comfortable and efficient in normal use and is also effective in slipping out or falling out of the user. This object is achieved by a climbing riser set according to one of claims 1 or 2 and a set according to claim 15.Further features and advantages of the present invention will be described in more detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which: FIG. 1 shows a climbing riser set according to the prior art in schematic form; FIG. 2 shows a climbing riser set according to a possible embodiment of the present invention in schematic form; FIG. 3 shows in schematic form a climbing walkway set according to a possible alternative embodiment of the present invention; and FIG. 4 shows a climbing riser set according to the alternative embodiment in FIG. 3 in schematic form and partially in section.Elements or parts of elements common to the embodiments described below are denoted by the same reference numerals. In Fig. 2 a possible embodiment of a climbing riser set 12 according to the present invention is shown. In its basic form, the climbing riser set 12 comprises a connecting loop 16 which is suitable for fastening the climbing riser set 12 to an operating loop 14 of a belt 13, and a damper 18 which comprises a damping element 181, the first end 182 of which is connected to the connecting loop 16 and the second end 184 of which is connected to two arms 22, 26, on the ends of which respectively carabiners 24, 28 are arranged. In addition, a latching loop 20 is provided at the second end 184 of the damping element 181.The climbing walkway set according to the present invention comprises a connecting element 32 which is suitable for connecting the damper 18 to a belt portion 13 which has a breaking or opening load which is less than or equal to the activation load of the damper 18.The attachment of the climbing riser set 12 to the operating loop 14 can be effected, for example, by a so-called "anchor stitch". In other words, the climbing walkway set 12 can be fastened to the operating loop 14 by the connecting loop being introduced into the operating loop 14 and subsequently the arms 22, 26 with the carabiners 24, 28 being introduced into the connecting loop 16, such that the operating loop 14 lies in the interior of the realized ring. In this way, after tightening the ring, the operating loop 14 is clamped by a clamping which is formed only by the connecting loop.According to one possible embodiment, the attachment element 32 may be a strap suitable for the hook and loop fastener, a strap suitable for the buckle fastener, a polymer clip, or a button fastener. However, the connecting element 32 can also have other structural shapes, for example a metal cable, preferably made of steel. In particular, the linking element 32 must ensure that the damper 18 is fastened to the belt portion 13 without affecting the normal operation of the damper in any way.The breaking or opening load of the connection element 32 can be, for example, more than 5 kg, but is still lower than the activation load of the damper. As seen in FIGS. 2-4, the tether 32 may be adapted to attach the damper 18 to a belt portion 13 such that a long side 186 of the damper is attached to the belt portion 13. In this way, the damper can be fastened to the belt section without interfering with the climbing step.In this regard, the damper 18 may include a pocket 188, known per se, suitable for receiving the operative parts of the damper.Advantageously, one of the longitudinal sides 186 of the pouch 188 may be provided with a suitable inspection opening to enable inspection of the damper 18.In known manner, the damper 18 can be made in two ways: a plate damper or a tear damper. In the plate damper, a cable (damping element) is passed through holes in a rigid plate: during fall, the passage of the cable through the holes slows down the passage of the cable, thus slowing down the fall.In a tear damper 18, a band damping element is folded back on itself so that its parts overlap and sewn together: in the event of a fall, the webbing tends to open and the seams tear open, slowing the fall.Such an embodiment is shown, for example, in Fig. 4.According to a possible embodiment, the climbing walkway set 12 may comprise a securing element 30 having a breaking load that is less than or equal to the breaking load of the damper 18, which securing element is suitable for connecting the latching loop 20 and the operating loop 14.According to a possible embodiment, the securing element 30 can have a working length between 10 mm and 150 mm, preferably between 10 mm and 20 mm. The operating length in this case is the length defined by the distance between the two elements connected by the securing element. The securing element 30 may be made of fabric having a pre-planned break / opening.According to a possible embodiment, the securing element 30 may be a band suitable for the fastener with Velcro or a band suitable for the fastener with a buckle. As seen in the embodiment shown in FIG. 2, the first end 182 and the second end 184 of the damper 18 may be adjacent to each other. In addition, the first end 182 and the second end 184 of the damper 18 face the securing element 30.According to a possible embodiment, the operating length realized by the operating loop 14, the securing element 30, the arms 22, 26 and the respective carabiners 24, 28 can be between 800 mm and 1300 mm, preferably between 900 mm and 1000 mm. All values relate to the resting state when the material of the arms is elastic.Figures 3 and 4 show an alternative embodiment of the climbing riser set 12 according to the present invention. In particular, the snap-in loop 20 can be sewn to a part of the connecting loop 16 by means of a melt seam 34, the breaking or opening load of which is less than or equal to the activation load of the damper 18.As can be seen in the partial section illustrated in FIG. 4, in the damper 18 arranged with the pocket 188, the latching loop 20 can be partially contained in the pocket 188 and protrude in the direction of the connecting loop 16.The second end 184 connected to the two arms 22, 26 may be divergent from the first end 182 connected to the connecting loop. The advantages which can be achieved with the present invention are therefore evident.First, a climbing riser set was provided which was more convenient to use than the prior art climbing riser sets.An advantage is in particular that the damper is no longer freely movable during the normal operating phases, but is instead fastened to a part of the belt. In this way, the damper does not in any way obstruct the movements of the user.In the embodiment with securing element 30, there is also a direct connection between operating loop 14 and latching loop 20, which ensures even greater system stability in use.Similarly, in the construction with the melt seam 34, the snap loop is positioned near the junction between the connecting loop 16 and the control loop 14, resulting in a compact and stable system without requiring additional elements compared to the traditional construction of FIG. 1.In the above-described embodiments, to meet specific requirements, those skilled in the art may make changes and / or replace described elements with equivalents without thereby departing from the scope of the appended claims. The climbing riser set of the present invention can be part of a set with a climbing strap 13, for example. In particular, the climbing riser set according to the invention can be integrated into a climbing strap.
