Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a device for carrying out a repeating process of a firearm in a straight-pull repeating rifle with a bolt rod which cooperates with a cartridge extractor and which cooperates with a bolt carrier which is linearly movable in the direction of a cartridge chamber of the firearm.
[0002] Devices of the type mentioned above are used in the prior art to safely insert a fresh cartridge into the chamber of a firearm and to remove a fired cartridge from the chamber. The latter process is often associated with considerable force, since when the propellant ignites, a cartridge heats up and expands due to the expansion of the resulting hot gases. The outer surface of the cartridge is pressed against the inner surface of the chamber with high pressure, usually becoming pressed in a way that is difficult to remove.
[0003] In the case of a classic 1898 repeater, this is essentially done by rotating a fired cartridge by means of a rotation of the bolt handle upon initial actuation of the bolt handle.
[0004] In the case of a straight-pull repeating rifle in bullpup design of a firearm, a solution to this problem is not known in the state of the art.
[0005] The document DE 10 2018 122 573 B3 discloses a straight-pull bolt for a repeating rifle with a bolt sleeve rotatably mounted about a longitudinal axis, having a front end on which a bolt head is arranged, and having a rear end, wherein a control cam extending obliquely to the longitudinal axis is introduced into the inner surface of the bolt sleeve in the region of the rear end, further comprising a connecting member extending in the direction of the longitudinal axis, having a front end on which a pin engaging with the control cam of the bolt sleeve is arranged, and having a rear end, wherein a recess is introduced in the region of the rear end, wherein a control element is provided with a control cam engaging in the recess of the connecting member and a through-opening for the passage of a firing pin, and with a shaft extending transversely to the longitudinal axis.and further comprising a bolt handle which is connected in a rotationally fixed manner to the shaft of the control element for pivoting the control element between an open position and a closed position, wherein in the open position the bolt head is locked and in the closed position the bolt head is unlocked.
[0006] The document DE 2016 120 891 A1 discloses a locking device for firearms, in particular repeating rifles, comprising a cartridge chamber, an external sleeve and a chamber accommodated therein, wherein the chamber has a locking head in the region facing the cartridge chamber and a control piece is mounted within the chamber so as to be axially displaceable relative to the chamber and relative to the locking head, further comprising a bolt lever which is connected to the control piece so that upon a rearward movement of the bolt lever, the locking head is unlocked and upon forward movement, it is locked, wherein the bolt lever is pivotally mounted in the rear end region of the sleeve and the bolt lever is pivotally mounted about an axis which runs off-center to the longitudinal axis of the chamber, wherein the control piece is connected to the bolt lever via an intermediate piece which projects radially outward from the chamber, and the bolt head is mounted in the chamber so that it can rotate about its axis and the bolt head is rotated by axial displacement of the control piece.
[0007] The document US 2010 / 0224056 A1 discloses a device for delaying the action of a gas-operated firearm having a barrel with a bore, a breech tube and a breech block, comprising a container having a gas chamber and an outlet, the outlet being in fluid communication with the breech tube of the firearm, an opening being in fluid communication between the gas chamber and the bore of the barrel, a one-way check valve in the opening, the one-way check valve allowing fluid flow from the bore to the gas chamber, a gas vent valve having at least one open and one closed position, which is arranged on the container and is in fluid communication with the gas chamber and the outlet, wherein a linkage is provided which is rotatably attached to the gas vent valve and is in mechanical communication with the bolt block.
[0008] From the publication AT 525 581 B1, a bolt for a straight-pull repeating rifle is known, which has a bolt box and a locking sleeve guided therein, as well as a locking rod guided in the bolt box and integrally connected to the locking sleeve, which locking rod connects a bolt head facing a cartridge chamber to a bolt rod with the interposition of a chain link, wherein the chain link is hinged to the locking rod and the bolt rod and the bolt rod is pivotable between an open and a closed position of the bolt and interacts with a firing pin nut connected to a firing pin, and furthermore a bolt head insertable into a bolt sleeve is provided at an end of the bolt facing away from the bolt rod, wherein the locking sleeve and the locking rod are designed as a one-piece locking sleeve rod and that a locking spring is provided surrounding the locking sleeve rod and urging the chain link towards its closed position.
[0009] The object of the invention is to provide a device for carrying out a safe repeating process in a straight-pull repeating rifle in bullpup design.
[0010] For a device of the type mentioned at the outset, this object is achieved according to the invention in that the bolt carrier is connected to a pivot axis of a transmission lever provided with two opposing arms, wherein the bolt rod can be contacted with a first arm of the transmission lever in order to rotate the transmission lever about an axis of rotation cooperating with the second arm, and wherein in a lever position of the bolt carrier close to the cartridge chamber, the first arm is inclined in the direction of the cartridge chamber with engagement of a pin of the bolt rod in a first elongated hole provided in the region of the end of the first arm of the transmission lever, and the second arm is inclined in the direction away from the cartridge chamber with engagement of a pin acting as an axis of rotation in an elongated hole formed in the region of the end of the second arm.
[0011] Preferred embodiments of the invention are the subject of the subclaims, the elements of which act in the sense of a further improvement of the approach to solving the problem underlying the invention.
[0012] In the device according to the invention, by means of the combination of features specified above, it is achieved that for the first time a safe repeating process is created for a straight-pull repeating rifle in bullpup design.
[0013] By means of a return movement of the bolt rod away from the cartridge chamber of the firearm, a force-enhanced return movement of the bolt carrier can be brought about by exerting a leverage effect of the transmission lever in order to bring about a safe release of a fired cartridge from a cartridge chamber of the firearm.
[0014] The transmission lever is preferably provided with a short first arm and a long second arm opposite the first arm, starting from the pivot axis.
[0015] The length of the second arm of the transmission lever can in particular be approximately twice the length of the short first arm.
[0016] According to a further preferred embodiment of the device according to the invention, when the pin acting as a rotation axis engages in the elongated hole of the second arm of the transmission lever by way of a return movement of the bolt rod, the pivot bearing of the bolt carrier forms a starting point for its linear return movement away from the cartridge chamber.
[0017] Furthermore, preferably in a normal positioning of the bolt carrier remote from the cartridge chamber, a locking pawl pre-tensioned by a spring in the direction of a groove of the transmission lever formed in the first arm engages in the groove of the transmission lever and fixes the transmission lever in a normal position, wherein the locking pawl, in a lever positioning brought about by means of a linear movement of the bolt carrier and close to the cartridge chamber, releases the groove formed in the first arm for a rotation of the transmission lever about the rotation axis cooperating with the second arm in order to effect a force-enhanced forward and backward movement of the bolt carrier under leverage.
[0018] According to a further preferred embodiment of the device according to the invention, the bolt carrier is mounted in a linearly movable manner within a bolt guide designed as a hollow rail of a housing of the firearm.
[0019] During a linear movement of the bolt carrier within the bolt guide of the housing of the firearm from a lever positioning to a normal position by means of a return movement of the bolt rod away from the cartridge chamber, the transmission lever preferably rotates around the pin placed in the elongated hole of the second arm until the pawl engages in the groove of the first arm of the transmission lever and fixes the transmission lever in a normal position.
[0020] Furthermore, during a linear movement of the bolt carrier within the bolt guide of the housing of the firearm from a normal positioning into a lever positioning by way of a forward movement of the bolt rod in the direction of the cartridge chamber, a pin of the bolt rod preferably engages in the first elongated hole provided in the region of one end of the first arm of the transmission lever in order to rotate the transmission lever about the pin which is fixedly arranged in the bolt guide and acts as an axis of rotation and which is placed in the elongated hole arranged in the region of one end of the second arm of the transmission lever in order to bring about a forward movement of the bolt carrier together with a ready-to-fire cartridge which is detachably and firmly connected to the bolt carrier in order to store this cartridge in the cartridge chamber of the firearm under leverage.
[0021] The device according to the invention is explained below using a preferred embodiment, which is illustrated in the figure of the drawing.
