Description

Technical area

[0001] The invention relates to a release tool, in particular a release tool for seals. State of the art

[0002] Gaps between interconnected components in a device are unavoidable. To improve the seal between components and prevent leaks, gaskets are typically used during assembly to fill the gaps. These gaskets include, but are not limited to, oil seals, O-rings, washers, sealing washers, etc.

[0003] It is understood that during equipment use, situations often arise where seals need to be removed, such as replacing components, detecting leaks, performing regular component safety inspections, replacing seals, and so on. At this time, seals are usually removed directly by hand. However, it often happens that the seal is located deep inside the component or the space is narrow, preventing operators from touching it with their hands. In this case, operators can only attempt to remove the seal with available, non-specialized tools, which can easily damage the seal during the disassembly process.

[0004] Therefore, it is necessary to provide a novel and advanced seal release tool to solve the above problems. Object of the invention

[0005] The object of the invention is to provide a seal removal tool specifically used for removing seals, wherein the working rod and the handle are formed separately, allowing the user to replace the handle as needed and allowing the working rod to be used alone.

[0006] This object is achieved by the seal release tool of the invention, which comprises: a handle; a working rod having a working head and a shaft which are connected to each other, wherein the shaft has a non-circular cross section, and wherein the shaft is inserted into the handle; and a positioning structure consisting of at least a first positioning unit and a plurality of second positioning units which are detachably connected to each other, wherein the at least one first positioning unit is provided on the handle, wherein the plurality of second positioning units are provided at intervals on the shaft, wherein the handle has a plug hole, wherein the shaft is movably and rotatably inserted into the plug hole along the axial direction of the plug hole so that the working rod can be telescopically moved relative to the handle. Short description of the drawings Fig. 1 a perspective view of the embodiment of the invention, Fig. 2 an exploded view according to Fig. 1, Fig. 3 an enlarged view of the shaft according to Fig. 2, Fig. 4 a sectional view along the line AA according to Fig. 1, Fig. 5 a front view according to Fig. 1, Fig. 6 an enlarged view of zone B according to Fig. 5, Fig. 7 a representation of the displacement of the sliding sleeve to the release position according to Fig. 6. Ways to implement the invention

[0007] The following embodiments serve merely to illustrate possible implementations of the present invention and are not intended to limit the scope of the present invention. The "one" or "at least one" preceding the nouns mentioned in the article does not limit the number; it can also be "plural" as needed. Changes to this number are also within the scope of the intended protection.

[0008] Fig. Figures 1 to 7 show an embodiment of the present invention. The seal removal tool of the present invention includes a handle 1, a working rod 2, and a positioning structure 3.

[0009] The working rod 2 has a working head 21 and a shaft 22 that are connected to each other. The working head 21 is plate-shaped. The thickness of the free end of the working head 21 facing away from the shaft 22 is preferably less than 1.5 mm so that it protrudes smoothly into the gap between the seal (e.g., oil seal, washer, sealing washer, O-ring, etc.) and the mounted component, thereby allowing the seal to be easily removed. The shaft 22 has a non-circular cross-section. The shaft 22 is inserted into the handle 1. The non-circular shaft 22 can ensure that the handle 1 and the working rod 2 are rotated synchronously. In this embodiment, the working head 21 is hook-shaped so that the working head 21 can pull the seal by hooking it in. The hook-like structure can easily pull the seal away from the mounted component using the lever principle. When the working head 21 hooks the seal, better stability can be achieved so that the two do not easily separate during the movement process.

[0010] The positioning structure 3 consists of at least one first positioning unit 4 and at least one second positioning unit 5, which are detachably connected to one another. The at least one first positioning unit 4 is provided on the handle 1. The at least one second positioning unit 5 is provided on the shaft 22. The positioning structure 3 can lock or release the working rod 2. The user can replace the handle 1 or the working rod 2 with those of different sizes / shapes as needed, or use the working rod 2 alone. It can offer the user a variety of usage options. In this embodiment, one of the first positioning unit 4 and the second positioning unit 5 includes at least one recessed portion 51, and the other includes at least one protruding portion 45.The first positioning unit 4 and the second positioning unit 5 fulfill the purpose of positioning by interlocking.

[0011] More specifically, the handle 1 has a plug hole 11. The shape of the plug hole 11 matches the shaft 22. The shaft 22 is movably and rotatably inserted into the plug hole 11 along the axial direction of the plug hole, so that the working rod 2 can be telescopically moved relative to the handle 1. The number of at least one first positioning unit 4 is one. The first positioning unit 4 includes a sliding sleeve 41, at least one ball 43, and at least one through hole 44. The at least one through hole 44 is provided on the handle 1 and communicates with the plug hole 11. The at least one ball 43 is movably received in the at least one through hole 44. The sliding sleeve 41 is arranged in the handle 1 and is slidable between a locking position and a release position. When the sliding sleeve 41 is in the locking position, the sliding sleeve 41 forces a portion of the at least one ball 43 to protrude from the socket hole 11 to form the at least one protruding portion 45 that engages the at least one recessed portion 51, so that the working rod 2 cannot be pulled out of the handle 1. When the sliding sleeve 41 is in the release position, the portion of the at least one ball 43 can retract from the socket hole 11 and leave the at least one protruding portion 51, so that the working rod 2 can be pulled out of the handle 1.

[0012] More specifically, the first positioning unit 4 further includes an elastic member 46. The elastic member 46 is inserted into the shaft 22. The elastic member 46 is located between the shaft 22 and the sliding sleeve 41, so that the sliding sleeve 41 is normally held in the locked position to enhance safety. Furthermore, an anti-slip structure 42 is provided on the outer surface of the sliding sleeve 41 to facilitate manual operation by the user. Furthermore, the outer surface of the handle 1 has two spaced anti-slip portions 12. A smooth portion 13 is located between the two anti-slip portions 12. The two anti-slip portions 12 can increase friction with the user's hand to enhance grip stability.

[0013] The second positioning unit 5 preferably includes a plurality of recessed portions 51. The plurality of recessed portions 51 are located in the circumferential direction of the shaft 22. The plurality of recessed portions 51 can provide a plurality of fitting positions in the circumferential direction of the shaft 22. When the number of the at least one protruding portion 45 is one, the protruding portion 45 can engage with any of the recessed portions 51 in the circumferential direction of the shaft 22. The user does not need to find a specific fitting position. When the number of the at least one protruding portion 45 is a plurality, in addition to the above-mentioned advantages, the plurality of protruding portions 45 and the plurality of recessed portions 51 can engage with each other at different angular positions, thereby increasing the connection strength and stability of the work rod 2 and the handle 1 and dispersing the stress.

[0014] In this embodiment, the second positioning unit 5 also includes a plurality of connecting channels 52 on the shank 22. Each connecting channel 52 is provided between two adjacent recessed portions 51. The plurality of connecting channels 52 and the plurality of recessed portions 51 are connected to each other to form an annular groove 53. The second positioning unit 5 is thus an annular groove 53. In the radial direction of the shank 22, the distance from the bottom wall of each recessed portion 51 to the axis of the shank 22 is equal to the distance from the bottom wall of each connecting channel 52 to the axis of the shank 22. When the work rod 2 is held in the hand, the annular groove 53 can increase the contact area with the hand. In addition, the shape of the annular groove 53 also promotes fast machining and production. Specifically, the cutting tool 2 only needs to make one rotation around the work rod 2 to create the annular groove.

[0015] It should be noted that the number of the at least one protruding portion 45 is a plurality, that is, the number of the at least one ball 43 is a plurality. The cross section of the shaft 22 is a regular polygon 23. The regular polygon 23 is, for example, but not limited to, a regular hexagon. The regular polygon 23 has a plurality of connected corner portions 231 and side portions 232. The plurality of recessed portions 51 are provided at the plurality of corner portions 231. The plurality of protruding portions 45 and the plurality of corner portions 231 interlock with each other in the axial direction of the shaft 22. Specifically, the distance from the bottom of the annular groove 53 to the axis of the shaft 22 is constant. In the radial direction of the circumcircle of the regular polygon 23, compared to the side portion 232, the distance from the outermost side of the corner portion 231 to the center of the circumcircle is sufficient to accommodate a portion of the ball 43 (the protruding portion 45). When the sliding sleeve 41 is in the locking position, the portion of the ball 43 in the axial direction of the shaft 22 can have more overlap with the corner portion 231, thereby achieving better locking and positioning effects.

[0016] Preferably, the number of at least one second positioning unit 5 is a plurality. The plurality of second positioning units 5 (the plurality of annular grooves 53) are provided on the shaft 22 at intervals along the axial direction of the shaft 22 so that the working rod 2 is telescopically positioned on the handle 1. Depending on the desired depth, the user can adjust the protruding part of the working rod 2 from the handle 1 accordingly. In this embodiment, the plurality of annular grooves 53 are arranged at equal intervals in the axial direction of the shaft 22 so that the user can easily recognize the protruding length of the shaft 22. The ratio of the size of the annular groove 53 to the distance between two adjacent annular grooves 53 is between 0.08 and 0.1 to ensure the structural strength of the shaft 22 between the two adjacent annular grooves 53.
