[0041] As in Fig. As illustrated in Figure 6, a slope 56 is provided between the cylindrical portion 51 and the outer peripheral rib 53. The slope 56 is formed to extend in the circumferential direction. The slope 56 is formed to approach the flange 52 as it approaches the slot 55. Operational impact

[0042] The following describes an operation of the blower 10 with reference to Fig. 2 and Fig. 3 described.

[0043] The centrifugal fan 30 is rotated around the axis O by the output of the motor 20, drawing outside air into the centrifugal fan 30 through the intake port 44. The air drawn into the centrifugal fan 30 is discharged to the outside in the radial direction of the centrifugal fan 30. This creates an airflow in the first chamber 41 of the scroll casing 40. The airflow is directed by the nose piece 43 so that it flows from the first chamber 41 to the second chamber 42.

[0044] However, an air flow towards the center of the motor 20 is generated at the nose part 43 due to a backflow. When water W penetrates into the interior of the scroll casing 40 through the suction port 44, the penetrated water W attempts to penetrate into the interior of the motor 20 by the flow towards the center of the motor 20.

[0045] On the other hand, in the fan 10 of the present embodiment, the flange rib 54 and the outer peripheral rib 53 are installed, thereby preventing water W from entering the interior of the motor 20. The operation and effects of each component of the fan 10 will be described in detail below.

[0046] In the present embodiment, the motor housing 50 includes the cylindrical part 51 covering the motor 20 from a side opposite to the centrifugal fan 30 in the direction of the axis O, and the flange rib 54 extending outwardly in the radial direction of the axis O on the outside of the outer surface 51a of the cylindrical part 51.

[0047] According to the present embodiment, the fan 10 can block the water W from entering the interior of the motor 20 with the cylindrical part 51. Furthermore, the fan 10 can more reliably block the water W that attempts to overflow the cylindrical part 51 and enter the interior of the motor 20 with the flange rib 54. In this way, the fan 10, with the cylindrical part 51 and the flange rib 54, can prevent water W from entering the interior of the motor 20.

[0048] In the present embodiment, the flange rib 54 extends in a direction perpendicular to the axis O.

[0049] According to the present embodiment, the flange rib 54 more easily blocks water W attempting to enter the interior of the motor 20 than in a case where the flange rib 54 extends toward the centrifugal fan 30. Accordingly, the blower 10 can more reliably prevent water W from entering the interior of the motor 20. The flange rib 54 can be formed more easily compared to a case where the flange rib 54 extends toward the centrifugal fan 30. For example, the flange rib 54 can be formed with a molding mechanism such as a sliding core to minimize the cost increase of the blower 10.

[0050] In the present embodiment, the flange rib 54 is annular when viewed from the direction of the axis O.

[0051] According to the present embodiment, the flange rib 54 can block the water W attempting to penetrate into the interior of the motor 20 over the entire circumference of the cylindrical part 51. Accordingly, the fan 10 can more reliably prevent the penetration of water W into the interior of the motor 20.

[0052] In the present embodiment, the motor housing 50 further includes the outer circumferential rib 53 which is annular when viewed from the direction of the axis O and extends in the direction of the axis O on the outside of the outer surface 51a of the cylindrical part 51.

[0053] According to the present embodiment, the fan 10 can block the water W attempting to overflow the cylindrical portion 51 and penetrate the interior of the motor 20 with the outer peripheral rib 53. Accordingly, the fan 10 can more reliably prevent the water W from entering the interior of the motor 20.

[0054] In the present embodiment, the flange rib 54 is provided on the outer peripheral rib 53 on the outermost side in the radial direction.

[0055] According to the present embodiment, the fan 10 with the flange rib 54 at a position radially outwardly separated from the cylindrical part 51 can block a flow attempting to penetrate the interior of the motor 20. Accordingly, the fan 10 can more reliably prevent water W from entering the interior of the motor 20. The flange rib 54 can be formed simply. For example, the flange rib 54 can be formed with a molding mechanism such as a sliding core to minimize the cost increase of the fan 10.

[0056] In the present embodiment, the outer peripheral rib 53 includes the slits 55 penetrating the outer peripheral rib 53 in the radial direction.

[0057] According to the present embodiment, the fan 10 can discharge the water W accumulated between the cylindrical part 51 and the outer peripheral rib 53 through the slits 55 to the outside of the outer peripheral rib 53. Thus, the fan 10 can prevent the water W accumulated between the cylindrical part 51 and the outer peripheral rib 53 from overflowing the cylindrical part 51 and entering the interior of the motor 20.

[0058] In the present embodiment, the blower 10 includes the scroll casing 40, which includes the suction port 44, the discharge port 46, and the built-in centrifugal fan 30.

[0059] According to the present embodiment, an air flow in the blower 10 can be adjusted in any direction depending on the arrangement of the suction port 44 and the exhaust port 46. Even if the water W attempts to penetrate into the interior of the motor 20 with the air flow generated in the scroll casing 40, the flange rib 54 can further block the water W. In this way, the blower 10 with the flange rib 54 can prevent the water W from entering the interior of the motor 20, while adjusting the air flow in any direction with the scroll casing 40.

[0060] In the present embodiment, the flange rib 54 is provided at a position corresponding to the nose part 43 of the scroll casing 40.

[0061] At the nose portion 43, the airflow generated by the centrifugal fan 30 is reversed to generate an airflow toward the center of the motor 20. According to the present embodiment, the flange rib 54 can block the water W that attempts to enter the interior of the motor 20 due to the airflow toward the center of the motor 20. Accordingly, the blower 10 can more reliably prevent the water W from entering the interior of the motor 20. First modification example

[0062] Hereinafter, the blower 10 according to a first modification example of the present disclosure will be described with reference to Fig. 7. As described in Fig. 7, in the present modification, the flange rib 54 is provided so as to be inclined with respect to the cylindrical member 51 and the outer peripheral rib 53. More specifically, the flange rib 54 is provided on the outer peripheral rib 53 and is inclined while gradually separating from the centrifugal fan 30 in the radially outward direction.

[0063] The flange rib 54 is preferably a separate part from the cylindrical part 51 and the outer peripheral rib 53. In this case, an annular rib inclined with respect to the cylindrical part 51 and the outer peripheral rib 53 can be formed relatively easily.

[0064] Note that the flange rib 54 may be inclined to gradually approach the centrifugal fan 30 outward in the radial direction. The flange rib 54 may be provided on the cylindrical part 51. Second modification example

[0065] Hereinafter, the blower 10 according to a second modification example of the present disclosure will be described with reference to Fig. 8. As described in Fig. 8, in the present modification, the outer circumferential rib 53 is not provided outside the outer surface 51a of the cylindrical part 51, and the flange rib 54 is provided on the outer surface 51a of the cylindrical part 51. Third modification example

[0066] Hereinafter, the blower 10 according to a third modification example of the present disclosure will be described with reference to Fig. 9. As described in Fig. As illustrated in Fig. 9, a plurality of flange ribs 54 are provided in the present modification. More specifically, the flange rib 54 is provided on both the cylindrical portion 51 and the outer peripheral rib 53.

[0067] According to the present modification example, the fan 10 with the flange ribs 54 can better block the water W attempting to enter the interior of the motor 20 than in a case where only one flange rib 54 is provided. Accordingly, the fan 10 can more reliably prevent the water W from entering the interior of the motor 20.

[0068] The number of flange ribs 54 can be changed as appropriate depending on the design of the blower 10. Fourth modification example

[0069] Hereinafter, the blower 10 according to a fourth embodiment of the present disclosure will be described with reference to Fig. 10. As described in Fig. As illustrated in Figure 10, in the present modification, a plurality of flange ribs 54 are provided. Specifically, two flange ribs 54 are provided on the outer peripheral rib 53. The two flange ribs 54 are provided so as to be spaced apart from each other in the direction of the axis O.

[0070] The blower 10 according to the present modification example can achieve the same operational effects as the blower 10 according to the third modification example.

[0071] The number of flange ribs 54 can be changed as appropriate depending on the design of the blower 10. Fifth modification example

[0072] Hereinafter, the blower 10 according to a fifth modification example of the present disclosure will be described with reference to Fig. 11. As described in Fig.As illustrated in FIG. 11, in the present modification, a plurality of layers of outer circumferential ribs 53 are provided adjacent to each other in the radial direction. More specifically, two outer circumferential ribs 53 are provided adjacent to each other in the radial direction.

[0073] The flange rib 54 is provided on the outer peripheral rib 53 on the outermost side in the radial direction from the plurality of layers of the outer peripheral ribs 53.

[0074] In the present modification example, the plurality of layers of outer circumferential ribs 53 are provided adjacent to each other in the radial direction. Thus, the fan 10 with the plurality of layers of outer circumferential ribs 53 can better block water W attempting to enter the interior of the motor 20 than in a case where only one outer circumferential rib 53 is provided. Accordingly, the fan 10 can more reliably prevent water W from entering the interior of the motor 20.

[0075] The number of layers of the outer circumferential ribs 53 can be changed as desired depending on the design of the fan 10. Other embodiment

[0076] The embodiments according to the present disclosure have been described in detail with reference to the drawings. However, a specific configuration of the present disclosure is not limited to these embodiments and also includes a design change or the like without departing from the gist of the present disclosure. In the embodiments described above, the flange rib 54 is annular when viewed from the direction of the axis O, but the shape is not limited to this. The flange rib 54 may be provided only at a position corresponding to a part of the outer surface 51a of the cylindrical part 51. That is, the flange rib 54 may be provided only at a position corresponding to the nose part 43.

[0077] In the embodiments described above, the blower 10 includes the scroll casing 40, but the configuration is not limited thereto. The blower 10 does not necessarily need to include the scroll casing 40. Even if the scroll casing 40 is not present, air may flow back toward the center of the motor 20 along the flange 52 of the motor housing 50, for example, when there is an obstacle near the centrifugal fan 30 that blocks the airflow generated by the centrifugal fan 30, or when a strong airflow is generated near the centrifugal fan 30 due to an external factor. Even if the water W tries to penetrate into the interior of the motor 20 due to such air backflow, the blower 10 can block the water W with the flange rib 54. Additional information
