Abstract
Description
TECHNICAL FIELD
[0001] The present disclosure relates to the technical field of a fluid mechanics device, and more particularly relates to a sealing device for a radiator, and a radiator. GENERAL STATE OF THE ART
[0002] The cooler must ensure the sealing between a cooler core and a cooler shell. That is, it must ensure that all the gas to be cooled can flow completely through the center of the cooler core and does not leak out at the top and bottom of the cooler core. Generally, coolers are machined to control the tolerance of the cavity inner surface of the cooler shell to ensure that the gap between the cooler core and the inner cavity of the shell is sufficiently small to act as a seal after the cooler core is pushed into the interior of the cooler shell. However, if the cooler shell is too large, the gas will quickly escape through the gap between the cooler core and the inner cavity of the shell, resulting in some of the gas to be cooled being directly discharged without being cooled by the cooler core, resulting in poor sealing performance. SUMMARY
[0003] In view of the above, the present disclosed embodiment proposes a seal assembly for a cooler and a radiator to solve the problem of leakage of the gas to be cooled and the processing difficulties due to the enormous size of the cooler in the prior art.
[0004] On the one hand, the present disclosure provides a sealing device for a radiator, which is arranged between a radiator core and a housing and includes two base plates, each arranged on either side of the radiator core. A sealing assembly is arranged near at least one end in the width direction of the base plate. The sealing assembly includes a sealing strip and a pressure plate, and the sealing strip is fixed to the base plate by the pressure plate.
[0005] In some embodiments, the two base plates are connected by a lead screw that is used to enclose the cooler core between the two base plates.
[0006] In some embodiments, two seal assemblies are arranged symmetrically at two ends along the width direction of the base plate.
[0007] In some embodiments, the sealing strip extends in the longitudinal direction of the base plate.
[0008] In some embodiments, an elastic sealing element is arranged on the pressure plate.
[0009] In some embodiments, the sealing strip is fixed between the pressure plate and the base plate by means of a first fastening means.
[0010] In some embodiments, a first through-hole is formed in the base plate, and the first fastening means extends through the first through-hole to secure the weather strip.
[0011] In some embodiments, when there are a plurality of the first through-holes, the first through-holes are arranged at intervals in the longitudinal direction of the base plate.
[0012] In some embodiments, at least one second through-hole is provided at a downwardly projecting part at each end along the width direction of the base plate, and the lead screw is connected to the two base plates through the second through-hole.
[0013] In some embodiments, when there are a plurality of the second through-holes, the second through-holes are arranged at intervals along the longitudinal direction of the base plate.
[0014] In some embodiments, when there are multiple lead screws, the lead screws extend through the corresponding second through holes and are arranged parallel to each other.
[0015] In some embodiments, the lead screw is secured by a second fastener extending through the second through-hole.
[0016] Embodiments of the present disclosure also provide a cooler comprising a housing, a cooler core, and the sealing device as described in any of the above technical solutions.
[0017] The embodiment of the present disclosure is capable of achieving a seal with the cooler core and the housing in the cooler through the retractability of the seal assembly on the sealing device, thereby ensuring that all the gas to be cooled can be completely discharged after being cooled by the cooler core of the cooler. Furthermore, the cooler housing does not need to be machined to ensure tolerances, which significantly reduces the difficulty and cost of machining the cooler housing and simplifies production. [0022] In order to keep the following description of embodiments of the present disclosure clear and concise, detailed descriptions of known functions and known components are omitted from the present disclosure.
[0023] The first embodiment of the present disclosure provides a sealing device for a radiator as shown in Fig. 1, which illustrates the structure of a cooler 100. The cooler 100 discussed here may be an intercooler in a centrifugal compressor, used to cool the hot air compressed by an upper-stage header using cooling water before the air enters a next-stage header.
[0024] The cooler 100 discussed here has a housing 101. As in Fig. 2, a cooler core 20 is disposed inside the casing 101 of the cooler 100, and the gas to be cooled flows through the cooler core 20 inside the casing 101 to achieve cooling. Here, a sealing device 10 pertaining to embodiments of the present disclosure is disposed between the casing 101 and the cooler core 20. The sealing device 10 is used here to seal the cooler core 20 of the cooler 100 in the casing 101 and prevent the gas to be cooled from passing through the cooler core 20 for cooling by escaping from the gap between the cooler core 20 and the casing 101.
[0025] In continuation of the Fig. 2 Shown and with reference to Fig. 3, the housing 101 discussed here is pushed onto the cooler core 20 from the outside, and the housing 101 generally comprises at least two opposing mounting plates 30 arranged on one or the other of the two end surfaces of the cooler core 20. In the cooler 100, the sealing device 10 thus comprises two base plates 1, each arranged on either side of the cooler core 20. The base plates 1 can be arranged, for example, on the top or bottom of the cooler core 20, and the base plates 1 are arranged along the longitudinal direction of the cooler core 20, with their length and width being determined based on the length and width of the cooler core 20 to be arranged.
[0026] Furthermore, the base plates 1 are arranged on both sides of the cooler core 20 within the cooler 100, i.e., between the two mounting plates 30. Here, the two base plates 1 are arranged parallel to each other. These two base plates 1, in combination with the two mounting plates 30, thus form a rectangular cavity, thereby achieving a comprehensive seal for the cooler core 20 in the housing 101.
[0027] In the presently disclosed embodiment, the base plates 1 are arranged on the top and bottom surfaces of the cooler core 20, respectively. Here, the casing 101 of the cooler 100 does not need to be machined into a rectangular shape, but only needs to be provided with two base plates 1 to cooperate with the sealing device 10, thereby ensuring the tolerance of the internal cavity without the need for machining. This significantly reduces the difficulty and cost of machining the casing 101 and the cooler core 20 of the cooler 100, and simplifies production.
[0028] Furthermore, as in Fig. 1, Fig. 3 and Fig. 4 shown, shows Fig. 1 a diagram of the connection between the base plate 1 and the housing 101 of the cooler 100, and Fig. Figure 3 shows a diagram of the connection between the base plate 1 and the mounting plate 30, where the base plate 1 on the top side and the base plate 1 on the bottom side have the same structure. Near at least one end in the width direction of the base plate 1, a sealing assembly is arranged to achieve sealing between the base plate 1 and the housing 101 of the cooler 100. It is of course possible to arrange two sealing assemblies symmetrically at both ends of the base plate 1 to achieve sealing in both directions.
[0029] The installation position of each seal assembly near the end of the base plate 1 is determined based on the position of the connection of the base plate 1 to the mounting plate 30 of the housing 101. The seal assembly serves to enable sealing of the gap between the cooler core 20 and the housing 101 of the cooler 100 by means of the seal assembly when the base plates 1 are arranged on both sides of the cooler core 20, thereby achieving a comprehensive seal of the cooler core 20. This ensures that the gas to be cooled does not escape through the gap by means of the sealing device 10, and further ensures that all the gas to be cooled can be completely cooled through the cooler core 20 without escaping through the gap between the cooler core 20 and the housing 101 of the cooler 100.
[0030] More precisely, as in Fig. 3 and Fig. 4 in conjunction with Fig. As shown in Figure 5, the sealing assembly includes a sealing strip 2, a pressure plate 3, and a first fastening means. The sealing strip 2 is provided here to extend along the longitudinal direction of the base plate 1 with a certain elongation or elasticity and may be an adhesive rubber strip, preferably a fluororubber strip. The pressure plate 3 may be a metal plate made of stainless steel. The pressure plate 3 is used to press the sealing strip 2 onto the base plate 1 to prevent the sealing strip 2 from moving. Here, the sealing strip may be fixed between the pressure plate 3 and the base plate 1 by means of the first fastening means.
[0031] Furthermore, in order to fix the seal assembly to the end of the base plate 1 along the width direction, a first through-hole is arranged at a position near the end of the base plate 1, the sealing strip 2 is arranged at a position on the outer surface of the base plate 1 corresponding to the first through-hole, and the pressure plate 3 is arranged on the sealing strip 2. Thus, by sequentially passing through the pressure plate 3, the sealing strip 2, and the first through-hole, the sealing strip 2 is fixed near the end of the base plate 1. The first fastening means may be, for example, a combination of a bolt 5 and a nut 6.
[0032] In order to ensure that the positions of the first fastening means and the first through-hole are aligned, the pressure plate 3 and the base plate 1 are pressed against the sealing strip 2, which is fixed, for example, by means of the screw 5 passed through the first through-hole in conjunction with the nut 6.
[0033] Furthermore, a plurality of the first through-holes may be used for fixing the sealing strip 2. If there are a plurality of the first through-holes, the plurality of the first through-holes are arranged at intervals along the longitudinal direction of the base plate 1.
[0034] In this way, the sealing device 10 can be manufactured easily and at a low cost on the base plate 1 - for example by the simple stainless steel metal plate and the rubber sealing strip in a matched pair and then by a screw-nut fixation for installation.
[0035] Furthermore, it is possible to arrange an elastic sealing element 4 on the pressure plate 3. The elastic sealing element 4 can be used here to adjust the degree of pressure against the sealing strip 2 and thus enable a more secure fixation of the sealing strip 2 to the base plate 1, for example, through the interaction of the first fastening means, the elastic sealing element 4, and the pressure plate 3, thereby preventing wear during fixation and generating less noise.
[0036] Furthermore, two base plates 1 are arranged on each side of the cooler core 20 of the cooler 100. In order to arrange two base plates 1 relatively parallel to each other between the two mounting plates 30 of the housing 101, to achieve a surrounding seal of the cooler core 20 by combining the two mounting plates 30, and to adjust the distance between these two base plates 1 to adapt the seal to the different dimensions of the cooler core 20, at least one threaded spindle 7 is arranged between the two base plates 1. Here, the two base plates 1 are connected by the threaded spindle 7, which serves to enclose the cooler core 20 between the two base plates 1.
[0037] Specifically, for the purpose of enclosing the radiator core 20 and adjusting the distance between two base plates 1 by means of the lead screw 7, at least one second through-hole is provided at each of the downwardly projecting portions at two ends of the base plate 1 along the width direction. Each of the second through-holes corresponds to a lead screw 7, and the lead screw 7 passes through the second through-hole in the base plate 1 of each base plate 1, so that the two opposite base plates 1 of each radiator core 20 can be connected by the lead screw 7, and the distance between the two opposite base plates 1 can be adjusted by moving the base plates 1 relative to the lead screw 7. Thus, on the one hand, the distance between the two base plates 1 can be adjusted according to the different dimensions of the radiator core 20.On the other hand, after installing the cooler core 20, it is also possible to achieve opposing pressing of the cooler core 20 by the two base plates 1. That is, by adjusting the movement of the base plate 1 with respect to the lead screw 7, the two base plates 1 on both sides of the cooler core 20 move in opposite directions to perform pressing of the cooler core 20 and achieve sealing with the casing 101 of the cooler 100 by means of the sealing strip 2.
[0038] Furthermore, a plurality of second through-holes may be provided to fix two opposing base plates 1 closer to each other. If there are a plurality of second through-holes, the plurality of second through-holes are arranged at intervals along the longitudinal direction of the base plate 1.
[0039] If there are a plurality of second through holes, the two base plates 1 are connected to each other by a plurality of the threaded spindles 7, wherein a plurality of the threaded spindles 7 are arranged parallel to each other.
[0040] Additionally, a second fastening means may be arranged on the threaded spindle 7, which cooperates with the second through hole to fix the threaded spindle 7 so that it exerts pressure on the cooler core 20 after the relative position between the threaded spindle 7 and the base plate 1 has been adjusted. The second fastening means may also be selected as a nut.
[0041] Thus, by mounting the base plate 1 directly on the outside of the cooler core 20, the sealing effect is achieved by the pressure between the seal assembly located near the end of the base plate 1 in the width direction and the casing 101 of the cooler 100, so that the seal between the cooler core 20 and the casing 101 of the cooler 100 is achieved by the retractability of the sealing strip 2, thereby ensuring that all the gas to be cooled can be completely discharged after cooling by the cooler core 20. It is easy to install and, moreover, does not require any additional design or modification work to the cooler core 20 of the cooler.
[0042] A second embodiment of the present disclosure relates to a cooler as described in Fig.1, which includes the housing 101, the cooler core 20, and the sealing device 10. The sealing device 10 includes two base plates 1 arranged on both sides of the cooler core 20. A sealing assembly is arranged near at least one end along the width direction of the base plate 1. The sealing assembly includes the sealing strip 2 and the pressure plate 3, and the sealing strip 2 is fixed to the base plate 1 by the pressure plate 3.
[0043] The cooler sealing device associated with the presently disclosed embodiment can be installed directly outside the cooler core, and the sealing effect can be achieved by creating a compression between the seal assembly and the cooler housing. The cooler sealing device using the presently disclosed embodiment is therefore installed and removed as follows: (1) Clamping the sealing strip 2 using the pressure plate 3 and the base plate 1 while ensuring that all the first through holes (i.e., the positions of the screw holes) are aligned; (2) Fasten the pressure plate 3, the base plate 1 and the sealing strip 2 using the screws 5, the nuts 6 and the elastic sealing element 4; (3) Repeat steps (2) and (3) above and attach the sealing strip 2 to both sides of the two base plates 1; (4) Place both base plates 1 on the top and bottom of the cooler core 20; (5) Connecting and placing both base plates 1 on the top and bottom of the radiator core 20 using the lead screw 7 and the nut, thus completing the process of assembling the base plates 1;
[0044] The disassembly process of the outer radiator sealing device can, of course, be carried out quickly in the reverse order of installation.
[0045] The embodiment of the present disclosure is capable of achieving a seal between the base plate and the cooler core and the housing in the cooler through the retractability of the seal assembly in the sealing device, thereby ensuring that all the gas to be cooled can be completely discharged after being cooled by the cooler core of the cooler. Furthermore, the cooler housing does not need to be machined to ensure tolerances, which significantly reduces the difficulty and cost of machining the cooler housing and simplifies production.
