Description

Description Function: Sealing a pressure chamber doctor blade for applying a liquid medium to a rotating roller (applicator roller). The seals are made of a flexible, compliant material and are installed at the ends of a chamber doctor blade system. The chamber doctor blade system defines the circumferential boundaries of the chamber using doctor blades (closing / working blades). The doctor blades rest on the seal at the ends. The doctor blades are made of steel / stainless steel. invention The chamber doctor blade seal is equipped with magnets on the contact surfaces of the doctor blades. The seals can be used with both the working and closing doctor blades. Object of the invention The attached magnets pull the doctor blades tightly against the seal and secure them. This prevents liquids from running under the doctor blades, ensuring that no droplets or leaks form, which could lead to disruptions (e.g., back-doctoring) in the production process. The fixed contact of the doctor blades with the KR seal increases the service life of the doctor blades. Advantages: assured quality, reduced setup times, and reduced wear on the doctor blades.

Claims
