Abstract

Collection container (1) for objects, liquids and waste for introduction into a slot or gap next to a seat, characterized in that the container is designed as a canoe-like long bag with two flat walls (8) made of a resilient film material of a certain rigidity with a largely V-shaped cross-section, which is folded along the central longitudinal axis and joined at its flat front (3) and rear end (4) and forms an opening (2) to one side.

Description

[0001] The present invention relates to a collecting container for objects, liquids and waste, which can be placed next to or underneath a car seat in order to collect and hold various objects and waste.

[0002] According to the state of the art, various means are known on the market to prevent objects from falling into a gap between the front car seats and the center console, from where they are difficult to remove.

[0003] A receptacle for objects that can be positioned above or in a gap next to the seat surface is largely unknown. The known state-of-the-art containment devices have in common that they are positioned next to the vehicle seat, flush with the seat height. The disadvantages are a less favorable change in the interior appearance and the dependence on the gap width into which the containment device is intended to be inserted according to the state-of-the-art technology. A gap that is too narrow prevents insertion, while a gap that is too wide impairs the stability.

[0004] The holding devices also inadvertently serve to prevent soiling in the space below. Arranged next to a seat at seat height, such holding and storage devices prevent protective equipment and other objects from accumulating in the gap next to the seat. The gap normally found there is blocked by the holding and storage device, and dirt cannot get into the gap. This proves to be advantageous in that such a gap and the space below are difficult to access in vehicles, even though the holding and storage devices available on the market are not designed to collect dirt. If they are filled with other objects, there is a risk that the objects placed there will become soiled. There is also a risk that the objects placed there will impair the collection of dirt.This is especially true for storage and handling devices installed at car seat height. Their primary function is to provide easy access to stored items. A car contains various types of dirt, such as dust, crumbs, etc., which tend to cling to other objects. Without a storage and handling device, the dirt collects below the gap between the car seat and the center console. Experience has shown that these areas between the center console and the car seat are difficult to access with a standard vacuum cleaner. Cleaning requires a special attachment, which is not provided with standard vacuum cleaners at gas stations.

[0005] The present invention is based on the object of providing a means for catching waste and other objects that slip into the gap between a front vehicle seat and the center console in order to avoid soiling in hard-to-reach places as much as possible and to enable quick access to objects that have slipped into the gap.

[0007] The use of a gap-like container as specified in claim 1 offers the primary advantage that the container does not have to be inserted into the gap solely from above, but can be inserted into the space or gap at a lower level below the seat surface, either from the front or back. Furthermore, the collecting container (1) can be quickly and easily removed by pulling it out for emptying or cleaning. The collecting container (1) is visually concealed by the seat surface. The container is secured by spreading its elastic wall (8).

[0008] In a preferred embodiment, the collecting container (1) according to the invention has two lateral walls (8). The entire collecting container (1) is made in one piece from a film, without thereby limiting it to a specific type of material, by longitudinal folding and has the shape of a canoe. The front and rear sides have rounded corners. The film thus has the technical effect that the container is inserted into a gap next to a seat. Suitable gaps are often present in the form of slits, openings (2) and the like directly next to a seat. In a car, they are usually present between the front vehicle seats (6) and the center console (7). Suitable slits can also be found between sofa seats, which are shaped like cushions, between seats in airplanes and trains, etc. The collecting container (1) is held in place by blocking it in the gap area.The holding can also be achieved by other means, such as in a vehicle by an existing seat belt bar. This requires a resilient material that can be deformed under pressure and returns to its original shape as soon as the pressure is removed. This deformability is also useful in that the collecting container (1) can be shortened by bending it at its standing level in order to position it as intended in confined spaces. The upper opening (2) is opened by spreading the walls (8) and is suitable for collecting falling waste and other objects. The object is removed by pulling out the collecting container (1). This can advantageously also be done while sitting. This allows the user quick access to objects such as a mobile phone, keys or other items that have accidentally slipped into the gap.

[0009] The use of a resilient film material is advantageous if the collection container (1) is to be inserted from the rear footwell into the slot between the center console (7) and the front seat. In this case, the collection container (1) can be shortened in length by bending it, since the footwell is usually short and the entire length of the collection container (1) cannot otherwise be inserted from there.

[1] Container (1) for objects, liquids and waste to be placed in a slot or gap next to a seat characterized by that the container is designed as a canoe-like long bag with two flat walls (8) made of a resilient film material of a certain rigidity with a largely V-shaped cross-section, which is folded along the central longitudinal axis and joined at its flat front (3) and rear end (4) and forms an opening (2) to one side.
