Abstract
Description
Field of invention
[0001] The present invention relates to a structure and in particular a wrench structure. State of the art
[0002] In the prior art, the handle of a wrench is typically connected linearly to the drive head. While this enables the basic function of applying force, it presents several limitations in practical use. For example, the user's wrist must maintain a fixed grip angle when applying force, thus limiting the direction of force application. This not only impairs torque transmission efficiency but can also lead to increased hand fatigue. Furthermore, in tight or confined work environments, the linear connection between the handle and the drive head further restricts user flexibility, reduces the tool's applicability, and consequently impairs work efficiency.
[0003] In high-torque applications, conventional wrenches can lead to unstable operation due to uneven force distribution. Since the grip and force application direction are not necessarily ergonomically designed, force variations can occur during prolonged use, impairing the accuracy of tightening or loosening. Particularly with heavily tightened nuts or bolts, the user often has to exert greater force, which not only makes operation more difficult but can also lead to slippage due to an unsuitable force application angle, thus compromising safety.
[0004] Therefore, there is currently a lack of technology on the market that can effectively solve the problems mentioned above, making the force exertion process more ergonomic, reducing stress on the wrist, increasing flexibility in tight spaces, and decreasing the risk of slipping. [0018] It will be on Fig. Figure 1 is referenced, which shows a schematic perspective view of the wrench structure 100 according to an embodiment of the present invention. The wrench structure 100 comprises a first drive head 110, a second drive head 120 and a handle 130.
[0019] The first drive head 110 has a first opening 111 and several internal flat surfaces 112. Specifically, there are four internal flat surfaces 112, each of which has the same dimensions. All internal flat surfaces 112 are interconnected and form five contact corners 113 inside the first drive head 110. The provision of multiple contact corners 113 thus results in a more uniform force distribution, reducing stress concentrations and the risk of damage (e.g., abrasion or deformation) to nut or bolt edges. It should be noted that in other embodiments, the first drive head can be configured with different numbers and types of internal flat surfaces and contact corners, depending on the type of element to be driven, and is not limited to the scope of the present invention.
[0020] The second drive head 120 is opposite the first drive head 110 and has a second opening 121, a first side section 122 and a second side section 123, wherein the first side section 122 is located on one side of the second opening 121 and the second side section 123 is located on the other side of the second opening 121 and is opposite the first side section 122.
[0021] One end of handle 130 is connected to the first drive head 110, while the other end is connected to the second drive head 120. Handle 130 serves the user for gripping and exerting force during operation. Furthermore, the surface of handle 130 can be provided with a non-slip texture or a special coating to increase friction and ensure that the user can maintain a stable grip even under varying load conditions, thus reducing the risk of slippage during operation.
[0022] It will be directed to the Fig. 1 and Fig. 2. Referenced. Fig. Figure 2 shows a side view of the wrench structure 100 according to Fig. 1. From the Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 it can be seen that the handle 130 has a handle center axis L0, wherein the first drive head 110 has a first drive axis L1 and the several inner planar surfaces 112 are arranged around the first drive axis L1, wherein the second drive head 120 has a second drive axis L2, the handle center axis L0 of the handle 130 and the drive axis L1 of the first drive head 110 form an angle θ1, the angle θ1 is not perpendicular and the second drive axis L2 of the second drive head 120 is perpendicular to the handle center axis L0 of the handle 130.
[0023] In the present embodiment, the angle θ1 lies between 65° and 82°. Defining the angle θ1 allows for a more ergonomic design of the relative position between the handle 130 and the first drive head 110, effectively reducing wrist strain. At the same time, this improves the flexibility of the wrench structure 100 in confined spaces, enabling the user to apply force more easily in restricted environments. This also effectively reduces the risk of slippage and increases stability and safety during operation.
[0024] It will be on Fig. 3 Reference is made to a schematic enlarged view of the second drive head 120 according to Fig. Figure 1 shows the following. In the present embodiment, the inner surface 1221 of the first side section 122 has a recessed section 1222. The depth of the recessed section 1222 is between 0.6 cm and 6.2 cm. The depth of the recessed section 1222 is adjusted according to the size of the second drive head 120 to ensure structural strength and the effectiveness of the applied force, while simultaneously guaranteeing stability during operation. In other words, if the second drive head 120 is larger, the depth of the recessed section 1222 is increased accordingly. If the second drive head 120 is smaller, the depth of the recessed section 1222 is decreased accordingly. The arrangement of the recessed section 1222 provides an additional locking function during operation, which increases the stability between the second drive head 120 and the force applied by the user and reduces unnecessary displacement. This contributes to increased torque transmission efficiency, especially in applications with high torque requirements, and improves accuracy and stability during operation, while reducing risks caused by slippage or uneven force application.
[0025] One end of the second side section 123 is angled. Specifically, the shape of the second side section 123 gradually transitions towards the handle 130. This angled design of one end of the second side section 123 not only makes the force application angle more ergonomic and reduces unnatural twisting during the force application process, thus placing less strain on the wrist, but it also contributes to improved torque transmission efficiency, as the force is applied more directly to the second drive head 120, reducing power loss. When operating in confined spaces, the user can adjust the force application angle more flexibly, which improves operating accuracy while avoiding excessive resistance and hand fatigue.
[0026] It is worth noting that the first side section 122 and the second side section 123 have different thicknesses and each performs different functions. The first side section 122 has a relatively uniform thickness and primarily serves to provide structural stability by effectively absorbing larger applied forces, thereby ensuring stability during operation. The second side section 123, on the other hand, gradually increases in thickness along its length from the edge of the second opening 121 towards the handle 130, forming an angled shape at its edge. This design not only helps to reduce friction but also allows for a more uniform and smoother application of force, thus increasing torque transmission efficiency. The angled shape effectively improves the tool's maneuverability in confined spaces, enabling more precise and stable force application. The difference in thickness between the first side section 122 and the second side section 123 ensures a balanced ratio between stability and flexibility, thereby further increasing operating performance.
[0027] The second drive head 120 has a recessed base surface 124 facing the second opening 121 and designed as an inclined surface. This ensures guidance in the direction of force application and reduces deviation caused by unsuitable angles, thereby increasing stability during operation. This not only reduces friction but also ensures effective distribution of the applied forces, thus improving torque transmission efficiency. Furthermore, the inclined surface reduces wear between the tool and the target object during use, thereby extending the tool's service life.
[0028] It will be revisited Fig. 3. Reference is made to the second opening 121, which is inclined towards one side of the handle 130. More precisely, there is an offset angle θ2 between the central axis L0 of the handle 130 and the central axis L3 of the drive head 120. The offset angle θ2 is in the range of 10° to 25°. This allows the direction of force application to be adapted more naturally to the user's movement, thereby reducing the strain on the wrist and arm during the force application process and thus improving ease of use and durability. Furthermore, adjusting the offset angle θ2 increases the maneuverability of the wrench structure 100 in confined spaces, enabling the user to easily apply force and maintain stability even in tight spaces, thereby increasing safety and accuracy.
[0029] The present invention thus provides a wrench structure comprising a first drive head, a second drive head, and a handle, wherein the second drive head is opposite the first drive head, the handle is connected at one end to the first drive head and at the other end to the second drive head, the handle's central axis and the drive axis of the first drive head form an angle, and this angle is not right-angled. This makes the force application process more ergonomic, reduces strain on the wrist, increases flexibility in confined spaces, and reduces the risk of slippage.
[0030] In summary, the wrench structure according to the invention offers the following advantages: First, by adjusting the angle between the handle and the first drive head, the force application process becomes more ergonomic, less strain is placed on the wrist, and user comfort is increased; Second, flexibility in confined spaces is improved, and the risk of slipping is reduced; Third, torque transmission efficiency is increased, further improving stability and safety during operation.
