Abstract
Description
TECHNICAL AREA
[0001] The present utility model relates to the field of folding seating devices, in particular a folding chair. STATE OF THE ART
[0002] Conventional folding chairs and beds typically use a cross-joint design, which facilitates folding and unfolding, thus enabling convenient storage, packaging, transport, and sale. In this design, two sets of rods cross and rotate at the pivot point, providing stable support for the product during unfolding.
[0003] When folding, however, the legs tend to rotate further under the influence of inertia and experience an overhanging tilt. This causes the leg that should remain on the same side to rotate to the other side, resulting in misalignment, crossing, and overlapping. The user must separate and realign the legs with both hands before they can be unfolded further, which is quite cumbersome. CONTENTS OF THE PRESENT USE SAMPLE
[0004] In light of this, it is necessary to solve the problem that the legs of the aforementioned folding chair misalign and cross after being folded, making it difficult to unfold. Where there is no conflict, the following embodiments and the features in the embodiments may be combined. Furthermore, the dashed lines shown in the drawings of the present application do not represent physical structures but serve solely to distinguish between different features.
[0030] With reference to Fig. In documents 1 to 11, the present application provides for a folding chair comprising a frame 1 and a chair cover 2, wherein the chair cover 2 is attached to the frame 1, the frame 1 comprises a folding section 11 and two sets of support sections 12, the folding section 11 is arranged on the two sets of support sections 12, and each set of support sections 12 comprises the following: a first leg 30; a second leg 40; an armrest 50, wherein one end of the first leg 30 and one end of the second leg 40 are articulated together, and the articulatedly connected end is rotatably and slidably arranged on the armrest 50; A first joint element 60 and a second joint element 70 are arranged between the first leg 30 and the second leg 40 of the same set, wherein the first end 61 of the first joint element 60 and the third end 71 of the second joint element 70 are pivotally connected to each other and rotatably connected to the hinge section 11, the second end 62 of the first joint element 60 is rotatably connected to the first leg 30, and the fourth end 72 of the second joint element 70 is rotatably connected to the second leg 40; wherein a limiting and locking part 80 is provided on the first joint element 60 or on the second joint element 70, the limiting and locking part 80 being designed to limit the rotation path of the first leg 30 when rotating and folding the first leg 30 in the direction of the second leg 40 from the unfolded state up to a preset angle, so that the first leg 30 is in the end position of the folding of the first leg 30 on the same side of the second leg 40 and does not cross this second leg 40.
[0031] In some embodiments, the folding chair of the present application is suitable for use in scenarios such as camping, in gardens, and on balconies. The frame 1 can be made of metal tubes, such as aluminum alloy or steel tubes, to improve the stability of the folding chair. The chair cover 2 can be made of materials such as Oxford cloth or mesh fabric to improve seating comfort for the user and support. It should be noted that the folding chair of the present application, when fully unfolded, can also be used as a daybed and not just as a chair for sitting.
[0032] With reference to Fig. 1 and Fig. The chair cover 2 is attached within the frame of the base 1 and changes its position as the base deforms. When the base 1 is fully extended, the chair cover 2 unfolds accordingly, providing the user with seat and back support. The armrest 50 has a support surface 501 on its upper surface that conforms to the shape of the arm. If required, the support surface 501 can be fitted with a fabric cushion for added comfort. Additionally, the upper surface of the chair cover 2 is detachably connected to a cushion (not shown), which can be attached to the chair cover 2 or to the base 1 using Velcro or similar fasteners.
[0033] Through the cooperation of the first joint element 60 and the second joint element 70, the rotation angles of the first leg 30 and the second leg 40 are limited to a predetermined range. In particular, the rotation angles of the first leg 30 and the second leg 40 can preferably be between 0 degrees and 60 degrees. When the first leg 30 and the second leg 40 are opened to their maximum angle, they provide good support for the entire frame 1. It should be noted that, as in Fig. As shown in Figure 2, the length of the first leg 30 is shorter than that of the second leg 40, so that the two first legs 30 fit between the two second legs 40, thus improving the structural compactness of the folding chair. Consequently, the folding chair has a smaller folded volume.
[0034] To unfold the folding chair, the free ends of the first leg 30 and the second leg 40 are rotated in opposite directions. This causes the limiting and locking element 80 to move from a position where it is against the second leg 40 to a position where it is away from it. To fold the folding chair, the free ends of the first leg 30 and the second leg 40 are rotated towards each other until the limiting and locking element 80 is pressed firmly against the side of the second leg 40 facing the first leg 30. This prevents the first leg 30 and the second leg 40 from misaligning and crossing over each other; that is to say: 1) The first leg 30 and the second leg 40 lie in the same plane or, 2) The first leg 30 and the second leg 40 form an angle, for example 1 degree, 2 degrees, etc., without this being specifically limited in the present application.
[0035] The presence of the limiting and locking element 80 ensures that during the folding process, as the first leg 30 rotates into its predetermined end position, the limiting and locking element 80 restricts any further rotation of the first leg 30 along the folding direction. This prevents the first leg 30 from over-rotating and tipping over due to external forces or inertia. In particular, the first leg 30 cannot cross the second leg 40 and rotate to the opposite side of the second leg 40. This prevents misalignment and crossing between the first leg 30 and the second leg 40, thus avoiding jamming. This makes it easier for the user to subsequently unfold the first leg 30 and the second leg 40.
[0036] With reference to Fig. 3, Fig. 4 and Fig. 5 In some embodiments, the limiting and locking part 80 includes a stop seat 81. The stop seat 81 is mounted on the pivot shaft 82, which connects the first end 61 and the third end 71, and is aligned coaxially with the pivot shaft 82; wherein the stop seat 81 extends in the direction of the side furthest from the first leg 30, so that when the first leg 30 is positioned at its end position of folding, the stop seat 81 abuts the second leg 40 and thus limits a further rotation of the first leg 30 in the direction of the second leg 40.
[0037] In this embodiment, the limiting and locking element 80 primarily serves to block interference. When the first leg 30 rotates in the direction of the second leg 40, the limiting and locking element 80 rotates with it until it comes into contact with the side of the second leg 40 facing the first leg 30, thereby preventing further rotation of the first leg 30.
[0038] In some embodiments, the stop 81 can be attached directly to the surface of the first end 61, provided that the stop 81 prevents the first leg 30 from rotating further when the first leg 30 and the second leg 40 are rotated into their folding end positions. In some embodiments, the stop 81 can be designed as a bearing rotatably connected to one end of the rotating shaft 82. The curved surface of the bearing ensures reliable limitation and simultaneously reduces local stress concentrations. In further embodiments, the stop 81 can be designed as a projection attached to one end of the rotating shaft 80, forming surface contact with the side wall of the second leg 40 via its contact surface.
[0039] In practical application, a buffer pad can therefore be provided between the stop seat 81 and the second leg 40. The buffer pad can be fixed to the outer surface of the stop seat 81 or to the side of the second leg 40 to reduce the noise generated by its impact and to provide a damping force, thereby reducing the possibility of deformation of the stop seat 81.
[0040] With reference to Fig. 1 and Fig. 5 the first joint element 60 in some embodiments comprises a first connecting piece 63 and a second connecting piece 64, which are arranged symmetrically, wherein the first leg 30 and the pivot shaft 82 are each positioned between the first connecting piece 63 and the second connecting piece 64; wherein the pivot shaft 82 is positioned between the first connecting piece 63 and the second connecting piece 64 and is designed to limit further rotation of the first leg 30 and the second leg 40 when the folding chair is in the fully unfolded state.
[0041] In this embodiment, the gap between the first connecting piece 63 and the second connecting piece 64 is larger than the thickness of the first leg 30, which reduces the unusual noises caused by the contact between the three. Since the first leg 30 is clamped by the first connecting piece 63 and the second connecting piece 64, during the rotation and unfolding process of the first leg 30 and the second leg 40, when the angle between the first leg 30 and the second leg 40 reaches its maximum value, the circumferential surface of the rotating shaft 82 can be pressed against the side of the first leg 30 facing away from the second leg 40, thus limiting further rotation of the first leg 30 and the second leg 40 in an undesired direction. The angle formed between the first joint element 60 and the second joint element 70 is greatest at this point. In other words, the maximum angle between the first leg 30 and the second leg 40 is limited by the lengths of the first joint element 60 and the second joint element 70.
[0042] With reference to Fig. 1, Fig. 6 and Fig. 7 In some embodiments, the folding section 11 comprises a first bending element 90, a second bending element 91 and a third bending element 92, which are rotatably connected to one another in succession, wherein the chair cover 2 is arranged on the first bending element 90, the second bending element 91 and the third bending element 92;
[0043] The fifth end 51 of the armrest 50 is rotatably connected to the first bending element 90, while the sixth end 52 of the armrest 50 is rotatably connected to the third bending element 92.
[0044] In this embodiment, the first bending element 90, the second bending element 91, and the third bending element 92 are assembled such that they together form the hinged section 11. In particular, as shown in Fig. Figure 3 shows the end of the second bending element 91 near the first bending element 90 being fixedly connected to a first fitting 100, the first fitting 100 being U-shaped, the first bending element 90 being rotatably connected to the first fitting 100 via a first pin 101, the first pin 101 being fixedly connected to the first fitting 100, and the first bending element 90 being rotatably connected to the first pin 101; the end of the third bending element 92 near the second bending element 91 being fixedly connected to a second fitting 102, the second fitting 102 being U-shaped, the third bending element 92 being rotatably connected to the second fitting 102 via a second pin 103, the second pin 103 being fixedly connected to the second fitting 102, and the second bending element 91 being rotatably connected to the second pin 103.
[0045] More precisely, the first bending element 90, the second bending element 91 and the third bending element 92 are each U-shaped to improve structural stability and stability when unfolding the folding chair; it should be noted that the fifth ends 51 of the two armrests 50 are each rotatably connected to the two free ends of the first bending element 90, while the sixth ends 52 of the two armrests 50 are each rotatably connected to the two free ends of the third bending element 92.
[0046] When the user sits on the chair cover 2, their body weight is transferred via the chair cover 2 to the first bending element 90, the second bending element 91, and the third bending element 92. It is then transferred via the armrests 50, the first leg 30, and the second leg 40 to the floor, thus forming a stable, closed force path. Due to the symmetrical arrangement of the two sets of support sections 12, the force in the folding chair is distributed more evenly in the left and right directions. This effectively reduces the risk of tipping due to unilateral forces.
[0047] With reference to Fig. 8 and Fig. In some embodiments, a receiving groove 53 is provided on the underside of the armrest 50, wherein an end of the first leg 30 and an end of the second leg 40, which are articulated together, are slidably connected to the receiving groove 53 via a connecting part 54.
[0048] In this embodiment, the receiving groove 53 extends along the longitudinal direction of the armrest 50. The receiving groove 53 is designed to provide a receiving and guiding space for the connecting part 54. This allows the connecting part 54 to slide within the inner surface of the armrest 50. This minimizes the exposure of the connecting part 54 and reduces the risk of scratching by foreign objects during movement. Simultaneously, by placing the receiving groove 53 on the underside of the armrest 50, the weight of the armrest 50 can be reduced.
[0049] More precisely, the connecting part 54 comprises the following: a connecting beam 55, wherein the connecting beam 55 is firmly connected to the receiving groove 53; a sliding seat 56, wherein the sliding seat 56 is slidably connected to the receiving groove 53 and the connecting beam 55; wherein the first leg 30 and the second leg 40 are each rotatably connected at one end to the sliding seat 56.
[0050] In this embodiment, the connecting beam 55 extends along the longitudinal direction of the armrest 50. The sliding seat 56 is concealed in the receiving groove 53 and slidably connected in the receiving groove 53, wherein the sliding seat 56 has a limiting slot 562 on the side facing the bottom wall of the receiving groove 53, the cross-section of the limiting slot 562 has a size of two-thirds of a circle, and part of the connecting beam 55 is embedded in the limiting slot 562, thereby preventing the sliding seat 56 from disengaging from the receiving groove 53.
[0051] The connecting beam 55 is embedded in the sliding seat 56 and serves as a guide and positioning mechanism. When the folding chair is fully unfolded, the sliding seat 56 is located further away from the sixth end 52; when the folding chair is folded, the sliding seat 56 is located closer to the sixth end 52.
[0052] It should also be noted that when the angle formed between the first joint element 60 and the second joint element 70 reaches its maximum, the first leg 30 and the second leg 40 are fixed relative to each other. However, due to the following conditions: 1) The sliding seat 56 can slide further along the connecting beam 55; 2) The second bending element 91 can rotate around the rotating shaft 82; 3) The first bending element 90 can rotate relative to the second bending element 91; 4) The second bending element 91 can rotate relative to the third bending element 92; can the folding chair be moved from the in Fig. The seated position shown in 10 can be converted into a state that is closer to a lying position, as in Fig. 11 shown. In other words, the folding section 11 of the folding chair can be further deformed to allow a more suitable pose for the user.
[0053] In some embodiments, the connecting part 54 comprises a self-locking part 57, wherein the self-locking part 57 is configured to lock the sliding seat 56 and the connecting beam 55 mutually.
[0054] In some embodiments, the sliding seat 56 is provided with an escape opening 561 which is connected to the receiving groove 53, wherein the self-locking part 57 comprises the following: a handle 571 which is rotatably connected to the sliding seat 56; a cam 572, wherein one end of the handle 571 is firmly connected to the cam 572; wherein the handle 571 is designed to press the cam 572 against the connecting beam 55 after it has passed through the diversion opening 561.
[0055] In this embodiment, the user can, during the transition from Fig. 10 to Fig. 11. Using the self-locking part 57, the armrest 50, the sliding seat 56, the first leg 30, and the second leg 40 can be fixed relative to each other at any time, thus controlling the relative fixation between the first bending element 90, the second bending element 91, and the third bending element 92. Once the user has set a suitable pose, turning the handle 571 causes the cam 572 to rotate, pass through the clearance opening 561, and finally press against the connecting beam 55. The relative fixation between the sliding seat 56 and the connecting beam 55 is achieved by friction, which allows for simple and straightforward operation. When adjusting the seat position, pressing the rotary handle 571 in the opposite direction causes the cam 572 to reset, i.e., the pressure of the cam 572 on the connecting beam 55 is lifted and thus the sliding movement between the sliding seat 56 and the armrest 50 can be restored. In other words, since the sliding movement of the sliding seat 56 along the armrest 50 changes the relative geometric relationship between the corresponding leg and the folding section 11, locking the sliding seat 56 indirectly also secures the position of the folding section 11.
[0056] It is understood that both armrests 50 are each provided with a connecting part 54 to minimize unwanted wobbling of the folding chair and to reduce the force on each individual cam 572; at the same time, the free end of the handle 571 is aligned towards the third bending element 92 to allow easy pushing by the user.
[0057] In combination with Fig. 1 In some embodiments, the two sets of the first leg 30 are connected to each other via a first connecting rod 31, while the two sets of the second leg 40 are connected to each other via a second connecting rod 41.
[0058] In this embodiment, the two first legs 30 and the first connecting rod 31 form a U-shape, while the two second legs 40 and the second connecting rod 41 also form a U-shape, further increasing the structural stability of the folding chair.
[0059] In some embodiments, a protective sleeve 120 is provided at the connection point between the first leg 30 and the first connecting rod 31, while a protective sleeve 120 is also provided at the connection point between the second leg 40 and the second connecting rod 41. The protective sleeve 120 increases the friction between the first leg 30 and the second leg 40 and the ground, while simultaneously reducing wear on the first leg 30 and the second leg 40.
[0060] In some embodiments, several arcuate strips 93 are arranged on the inner surfaces of the first bending element 90, the second bending element 91, and the third bending element 92. Each arcuate strip 93 has a mounting opening 94, and the chair cover 2 is connected to the mounting opening 94 via a tension cable 21.
[0061] In this embodiment, several arc-shaped strips 93 are arranged at intervals along the extension directions of the first bending element 90, the second bending element 91, and the third bending element 92. Each arc-shaped strip 93 forms a corresponding mounting opening 94 with the respective bending element. The tensioning cable 21 is guided serpentinely through these openings. In other words, the arc-shaped strips 93 serve to limit the tensioning cable 21 and thereby fix the chair cover 2 in the corresponding position.
[0062] In particular, the tension cable 21 follows this routing path: the tension cable 21 runs successively through a mounting opening 94, then through the corresponding mounting hole 110 on the chair cover 2 (as in Fig. 1 shown), then through the next mounting opening 94, and subsequently through the next mounting hole 110. This process is repeated in cycles to tension the chair cover 2 and fix it to the folding section 11.
[0063] In some embodiments, several tension cables 21 may be provided, for example two or three, thereby increasing the connection stability between the chair cover 2 and the frame 1.
