Description

[0001] The invention relates to a method according to the preamble of claim 1, a protective arrangement according to claim 7 and a computer program product according to claim 13.

[0002] In high- and medium-voltage power grids, electrical systems, such as transformers or switchgear, are monitored using measuring devices that measure and provide three-phase voltage and current values. A common design is to use primary measuring transformers on the electrical system, which provide analog electrical quantities such as voltage and current to the terminals of a protective device. Secondary measuring transformers are often used in the protective device to galvanically isolate the electronics of the protective device.

[0003] When monitoring, controlling, and protecting electrical power grids, a multitude of different currents and voltages must be measured in different system topologies. Multifunctional protection devices implement a wide range of protection, control, and measurement tasks in a single device. Furthermore, a single multifunctional device can protect multiple protected objects.

[0004] From the publication WO 2008 / 104140 A1 it is known to record incoming analogue electrical signals at a plurality of measuring inputs of a protective device and to make them available for evaluation for software-based protective functions and switch functions on a processor, wherein pre-processing devices are used to translate the analogue input signals into digital measured values.

[0005] From the publication WO 2009 / 030258 A1, it is known to connect or configure conventional current and voltage transformers as so-called "instantiable measured value modules" on a multifunctional protection device. These instantiable measured value modules are software components that are configured during the configuration or parameterization of a protection device to digitize the analog input signals from the terminals of the protection device and feed them to the appropriate evaluation and control functions. The term "instantiable" refers to the fact that the measured value modules can be predefined as a basic type of measured value module, which can then be reused multiple times to parameterize, for example, several objects to be monitored (in the form of software "instances" of the basic type). In particular, instantiable measuring modules for current and voltage transformer units are described, based on the four basic types current 3-phase, current 1-phase, voltage 3-phase and voltage 1-phase.

[0006] A method for parameterizing a protective arrangement is known from the document WO 2012 / 022374 A2.

[0007] Furthermore, the product brochure "SIPROTEC 5 - V7.9 and V8.0 Protection, Automation, and Monitoring of Digital Switchgear," Siemens AG 2019, pages 22 to 32, describes how to connect a protection device to so-called "merging units," i.e., data acquisition devices, via a process bus using fiber optic cables. The merging units are connected to measuring points of an electrical system, e.g., a gas-insulated switchgear for high voltages above 1 kV, via copper cables. The brochure "SIPROTEC goes Process Bus - Fully Digital Switchgear with SIPROTEC" describes how to connect conventional switchgear to a merging unit to acquire analog measured values such as current and voltage values (so-called "samples measured values" (SMV)) and transmit them as digital data telegrams to the protection device via the process bus. The process bus is operated in accordance with the IEC 61850-9-2 standard.

[0008] Furthermore, software for parameterizing protection arrangements is known from the further product brochure "SIPROTEC 5 Engineering Guide DIGSI 5 from V6.0 Manual", Siemens AG 2015, ID number C53000-G5000-C004-2, as well as from "DIGSI 5 Software Description V8.00 Help", Siemens AG 2019, ID number C53000-D5000-C001-G.

[0009] In the process bus connection, the current and voltage transformers are no longer connected to the multifunctional protection device via the device input terminals and conversion of the analog signals in the multifunctional protection device, but via the above-mentioned merging units as digital measuring transformers.

[0010] The digitized sample values are transferred from the merging units to the protection device according to the IEC 61850 9-2 standard and tripping of, for example, a circuit breaker as a result of activation of a protection function in the protection device takes place within the framework of the IEC 61850 GOOSE 8-1 standard.

[0011] The method for transmitting sampled values over the process bus is standardized and described in IEC 61850-9-2 Ed.2 Part 9-2 "Specific communication service mapping (SCSM) - Sampled Values over ISO / IEC 8802-3." The engineering, language, files, and tools used, such as the vendor-independent system configuration tool (hereinafter also referred to as the "System Configurator"), are described in the IEC 61850-6 standard.

[0012] Based on known methods for parameterizing a protective arrangement, the object of the invention is to provide a method with which a protective arrangement can be put into operation comparatively easily, quickly and safely.

[0013] The invention solves this problem by a method according to claim 1.

[0014] An electrical power grid, for example, is a high-voltage grid with a nominal voltage of over 52 kV, or a medium-voltage grid with a nominal voltage of 1 kV to 52 kV. Such power grids have transformers at line outlets that must be monitored for short circuits, etc. If a fault is detected through appropriate measurements, a protective device can transmit a switching command via a communication link to a circuit breaker, which then shuts down the transformer and / or the line.

[0015] Parameterization in the sense of the invention is a procedure in which the software of one or more devices is set for operation.

[0016] Measuring devices are, for example, voltage transformers and / or current transformers, which, depending on their transformation ratio, provide a comparatively small output voltage as an analog output signal on their output channels or at their output terminals.

[0017] In modern systems, these analog signals are not transferred directly to a protection device, but rather digitized and combined in so-called "merging units" that serve as data collection devices. This enables connection to a digital data communication infrastructure, such as a process bus.

[0018] For example, the DIGSI software from Siemens AG, installed on a computer, can be used as an initial configuration tool. In particular, so-called "merging unit routing" can be performed in the "merging unit engineering tool."

[0019] DIGSI can also be used as a second configuration device for data communication.

[0020] DIGSI can also be used as a third configuration device to interconnect current and voltage transformers via a process bus client using a single-line diagram.

[0021] This allows the functionality of the three configuration devices to be provided primarily through software, for example, on a technician's computer. Only the manufacturer-independent System Configurator required by the standard must be provided as separate software.

[0022] The configuration devices can be implemented locally as computers with processors and data storage resources. Alternatively, a cloud-based solution can be provided (so-called "protection in the cloud"), in which all protection functions are provided as software applications. A cloud, as defined by the invention, is a network of data storage and processor resources that are provided decentrally via a data communications network, such as the Internet.

[0023] In a preferred embodiment of the method according to the invention, the parameterized protection arrangement for the operation of the electrical power network is used to monitor and protect at least one transformer and at least one line input.

[0024] Process bus is used for communication connections. This is an advantage because process bus is widely used and proven, and enables secure digital data transmission.

[0025] In a further preferred embodiment of the method according to the invention, the communication connections comprise two redundant process bus rings. This is advantageous because even if one process bus ring fails, monitoring and protection can be ensured by the other process bus ring.

[0026] In a further preferred embodiment of the method according to the invention, the output channels of measuring devices are assigned to input channels of the data collection device using measurement value modules that bundle measured values of three-phase voltage and / or three-phase current. This is advantageous because bundling the channels results in simplified parameterization of the protective arrangement. For example, only one measurement value module needs to be processed continuously by the various configuration devices instead of three individual measurement value channels.

[0027] In a further preferred embodiment of the method according to the invention, the measured value modules in the protective device are used for protective functions. This is advantageous because bundling the channels into measured value modules also results in a simplified and faster procedure for configuring the protective functions in the protective device.

[0028] In a further preferred embodiment of the method according to the invention, the measured value modules can be instantiated such that multiple electrical equipment is monitored and protected via the same data collection device and a single protective device. The instantiated measured value modules are software components that are configured during the configuration or parameterization of a protective device in order to digitize the analog input signals from the terminals of the protective device and feed them to the appropriate evaluation and control functions. The term "instantiated" refers to the fact that the measured value modules can be predefined as a basic type of measured value module, which can then be reused multiple times to parameterize, for example, multiple objects to be monitored (in the form of software "instances" of the basic type). In particular, instantiable measurement modules for current and voltage transformer units are described, based on the four basic types: 3-phase current, 1-phase current, 3-phase voltage, and 1-phase voltage. This has the advantage of enabling continuous processing of the measurement data from a merging unit to the protection functions in the protection device, which significantly simplifies the parameterization of the measuring point routing and the protection functions.

[0029] Furthermore, based on known protective arrangements, the object of the invention is to provide a protective arrangement that can be put into operation comparatively easily, quickly and safely.

[0030] The invention solves this problem by a method according to claim 7. Preferred embodiments emerge from the dependent claims 8 to 12. This results in the same advantages as explained at the beginning for the method according to the invention.

[0031] Furthermore, the invention aims to provide a computer program product with which a protective arrangement can be put into operation comparatively easily, quickly and safely.

[0032] The invention solves this problem by a computer program product according to claim 13. The same advantages arise as explained at the beginning for the method according to the invention.

[0033] To better explain the invention, the following schematic representations show Figure 1 shows a known embodiment of an assignment of measuring transformers of an electrical power network to functional groups of a protective device, and Figure 2 shows an embodiment of a protective arrangement connected via a process bus, and Figure 3 shows a known flow chart for a configuration of a protective arrangement, and Figure 4 shows an embodiment of a known assignment of measuring transformer channels to a data collection device and a protective device, and Figure 5 shows an embodiment of a measuring point marshalling according to the invention with a process bus, and Figure 6 shows an embodiment of a graphical assignment of measuring devices according to the invention and a parameterization of the communication connections using a single-line diagram.

[0034] The Figure 1shows a known embodiment of an assignment of measuring transformers A, B, C of an electrical power network with the three phases L1, L2, L3 to functional groups 202 of a protective device. Primary measuring transformers A, B, C are each connected to a phase L1, L2, L3 of the power network. They provide a measuring voltage for each phase L1, L2, L3 to a protective device (dashed box around the internal secondary measuring transformers for the voltages V1, V2, V3, V4). Primary measuring transformers A, B, C and the protective device together form a protective arrangement 200.

[0035] The protection device has processor and data storage resources so that measuring point routing can be performed for the analog input signals. The voltages V1...V4 are provided via software as a three-phase measured value module 201 and assigned to the inputs PhsA / AB, PhsB / BC, PhsC / CA, and VN (neutral). In the measured value module 201, the measurement type is defined as "VT connection" 4 ("VT" for "voltage transformer"). The secondary substation to which the protection device is assigned is designated "UD01" 5. The three-phase measured value module provides the voltages as input variables to various protection functions via software (indicated by reference numeral 6). The configuration of the measured value module and the protection functions is typically performed by a technician using a so-called "engineering tool."

[0036] Figure 2shows an exemplary embodiment of a protective arrangement interconnected via a process bus. The center of the figure shows an example electrical network in which measuring transformers are provided as measuring devices at several measuring points. These measuring devices are connected via analog cable to data collection devices 21, 22, 23, and 24, also known as "merging units." Furthermore, so-called I / O modules 25 and 26 are provided for a circuit breaker and a grounding switch, each of which records the switch position (open / closed) in binary form.

[0037] The data collection devices 21, 22, 23, and 24 as well as the I / O modules 25, 26 are redundantly connected to two process bus rings 19, 20 via digital data communication. For example, the process bus rings are data cables that enable the transmission of so-called GOOSE messages for, among other things, power and reactive power values, control commands, regulation commands, and protective functions. For this purpose, the data collection devices 21, 22, 23, and 24 as well as the control units 25, 26 each have process bus communication devices.

[0038] Three "Intelligent Electronic Devices" (IED01, IED02, IED03) 10, 29, 30 are planned, each of which can provide protection functions, for example. The IEDs can be, for example, protection and control devices of the type mentioned above, the Siemens SIPROTEC 5.

[0039] For example, device 10 has several software-based protection function groups 11-17, each of which is assigned the function identifiers typical in protection technology, the so-called "American National Standards Institute" (ANSI) numbers, such as 87T or 50BF (circuit failure protection). The following are monitored, for example: circuit breaker 12, 13, automatic voltage control 14, first transformer side 15, second transformer side 16, and access line (feeder) 17. Device 29 monitors: circuit breaker 31, 32, "busbar differential" 33. Device 30 has the same monitoring functions, designated here with reference numerals 34-36, as device 29.

[0040] The Figure 3shows a familiar flowchart or workflow for configuring a protection arrangement, as used for an installation with a process bus according to the IEC 61850-6 standard, for example, for the well-known SIPROTEC protection device. The previous engineering of the digital current and voltage transformer channels from the merging units to the process bus client is linked to four different configuration tools. In the schematic representation, areas 60, 61, and 62 represent different aspects of parameterizing a protection arrangement. Area 60 concerns the data collection device or merging unit 60, area 61 the system configuration, and area 62 the process bus or the data communication connections.

[0041] The first configuration tool 42 is a so-called "Merging Unit Engineering Tool," which can be provided, for example, as a software component in the DIGSI software mentioned above. This tool provides a configuration file 41 for the data collection device 40, so that it can be parameterized and operated using the configuration file. The effective range of the first configuration tool is indicated by reference numeral 63.

[0042] A manufacturer-independent "System Configurator" is used as the second configuration tool 47. From this tool, a configuration file 44 (a "Station SCD file") can be transmitted 46, which merges the merging unit and the client—i.e., the protection device. The configuration file 44 is transmitted 43 to the first configuration tool 42, which in turn provides a configuration file 48 (a "Merging Unit IID file"), which is imported into the System Configurator 47. The scope of the second configuration tool is indicated by reference numeral 64.

[0043] A configuration file 49, "Process Bus Client IID File," serves as further input for the System Configurator 47, which is also transmitted 50 to a third configuration tool 52, "Process Bus Client Engineering Tool," which can also be provided via DIGSI. The configuration file 44, which is transmitted 45, also serves as input for the third configuration tool 52. Using the third configuration device 52, another configuration file 53 (e.g., a "SIPROTEC 5 CFG file") is created, which is used to configure the "Process Bus Client Device" 54, e.g., a protection device. The effective range of the third configuration tool is indicated by reference numeral 65.

[0044] The fourth configuration tool 55, "Process Bus Client Configuration Tool," receives input 51 from the System Configurator 46, namely the so-called "SCD import connected channels." This enables the creation of a configuration file 56, "Process Bus Configuration file," which is made available to a "Process Bus Client Board." The scope of the fourth configuration tool is indicated by reference numeral 66.

[0045] Figure 4 shows an embodiment of a known assignment of measuring transformer channels to a data collection device and a protection device, ie a previous configuration assignment of the digital current and voltage transformer channels from the merging unit to the process bus client.

[0046] A three-phase electrical power network with phases L1, L2, and L3 has measuring transformers 70 as measuring devices, which are connected in an analog manner to a data collection device 71 or a merging unit. This has a first software component 72, which in turn is equipped with a measurement data acquisition unit 73. The measurement data acquisition unit 73 assigns a "logical node" LN (identified by reference numeral 75) to each analog input channel, e.g., a current value I1 is assigned a representation LN TCTR1 ("logical node transformer current transformer 1") or a voltage value V2 is assigned a representation LN TVTR2 ("logical node transformer voltage transformer 1"). The current and voltage transformers are represented as single-phase elements TCTR and TVTR, respectively. The current and voltage transformer connections or the assignment to the physical measuring points are not taken into account. Due to the complex configuration steps or multiple manual assignments, such asThe device-internal assignment allows for errors. A flexible division of the process bus client's input channels into only required currents and voltages is not possible. This lack of flexibility is particularly disadvantageous with an increased number of channels. The configuration of the merging unit falls within the effective range 63 of the first configuration tool according to . Figure 3 .

[0047] The representations 75 are transmitted via a communication device for Ethernet 74. The assignment 76 is made via process bus to the correct receiver device 77 according to a configuration in the effective range 64 of the second configuration tool according to Figure 3 .

[0048] The receiver device 77 is a protection device that can monitor multiple objects simultaneously or process input signals from multiple merging units in parallel. For this purpose, several copies or instances 78, 79, 80 of an input device for Ethernet and a process bus configuration PB_1A, PB_2A, PB_3A are operated in software. The process bus configuration PB_3A is shown as an example, which provides the representation 85 from the merging unit for further processing. The configuration of the process bus in the protection device falls within the effective range 66 of the fourth configuration tool according to Figure 3 .

[0049] An assignment 84 of the measured values or representations 85 to the main application protection functions 83 takes place, in particular to instantiated measured value modules 88, 89 for current and voltage. This configuration in the protection device falls within the effective range 65 of the third configuration tool according to Figure 3If protective functions are triggered, the corresponding trigger signals are transmitted to a device 87 for preparing control commands for a feeder. In this way, the protective device can be used to retroactively affect circuit breakers in the electrical power grid.

[0050] In detail, the configuration steps for the first configuration tool 42 (Merging Unit Engineering Tool) with effective range 63 include: Preparing the current and voltage transformer channels of the merging unit to be transferred in accordance with the IEC61850 object model. Parameterizing a predefined transfer scope of 4 currents and 4 voltages according to IEC61850-9-2 LE (Lite Edition) TCTR1..4, TVTR1..4.

[0051] The configuration steps for the third configuration tool 52 (process bus client engineering tool) with effective range 65 include: Instantiation of the process bus client module Two fixed predefined configurations of 12 currents and 12 voltages or 24 currents are available in the process bus client module Instantiation of the measuring points in the process bus client analog directly connected channels The individual phases of a three-phase measured value module are connected separately to the channels of the process bus client module.

[0052] The configuration steps for the second configuration tool 47 (System Configurator) with effective range 64 include: Linking IID files of the merging units and the process bus clients in a station configuration file (SCD). Linking the individual single-phase current transformer instances (TCTR) or voltage transformer instances (TVTR) of the merging unit (source) with those of the process bus client (destination) in the "Sampled Measured Values (SMV)" view. The "Sampled Measured Values (SMV)" provide, for example, currents, voltages, and sampling rates of the merging unit. The receiver LN is the IEC61850 name from the IED and the LN is the name of the TCTR or TVTR.

[0053] The configuration steps for the fourth configuration tool 55 (Process Bus Client Configuration Tool) with effective range 66 include: The process bus client configuration is carried out with a separate process bus configuration tool. To assign a signal of a merging unit to a channel of the process bus module, the tool provides the signal view. The column name in the DIGSI measuring point routing matrix is the reference to the Target column.

[0054] In the following, the improvements of the previous method according to the invention will be discussed.

[0055] It is proposed to provide a new, separate "Merging Unit Routing" view in the Merging Unit Engineering Tool. This enables two simplifications: a. An instantiation of a 3-phase / 1-phase current / voltage measurement module from the function library, as well as specifying the connection type and assigning it to the device input channels in the Measurement Point Routing view. b. In the new "Merging Unit Routing" view, the current and voltage measurement modules are assigned as a unit to the sampled value (SV) streams to be sent. The connection type specifies the number of channels to be sent. Furthermore, a stream type, for example, IEC 61850 9-2 LE, can be selected.

[0056] This approach allows for simplified parameterization of the analog inputs of the merging units. Consequently, the transmitting side is configured in relation to the data-receiving protection device.

[0057] Alternatively, the configuration of the assignment of instantiable measuring points in the single line diagram to the IEC 61850 9-2 SV streams is possible (see below Figure 6 as well as the explanations for configuring the process bus client).

[0058] Furthermore, according to Figure 5 proposed making changes to the process bus client Engineering Tool 92. The functionality is characterized by simplified user configurability in the engineering tool: Instantiation of a 3-phase / 1-phase current / voltage measuring module from the function library. Specifying the connection type and assigning it to the device input channels in the Measuring Point Routing view. A new column, "Process Bus," is available in the "Measuring Point Routing" view. Here, the current and voltage measuring modules can be assigned to the process bus as a unit or bundle. The number of channels to be received is implicitly specified via the connection type. This approach allows for simplified parameterization of the protection device. Consequently, the receiving side is configured in relation to the data-receiving protection device.

[0059] Implicit routing ensures flexible and simplified assignment. The name of the source of the SV stream of the merging unit is displayed in the properties window of the measuring point after connection in the system configuration tool.

[0060] A particularly simple way to parameterize the protective arrangement is provided according to Figure 6 This is achieved by interconnecting the physical current and voltage transformers in the engineering tool's Single Line Editor. In addition to the interconnection to the merging units, a communication interconnection directly to the process bus client is required. This communication interconnection can be represented in a different color in real software, for example.

[0061] The Figure 6 shows a schematic graphical configuration using a "Single Line Diagram" representation in the engineering tool for a transformer and line protection according to the example network 101 from Figure 2The single-line diagram describes the primary system and can be created automatically, for example, using information from a so-called SSD file of the local network substation. Alternatively, the primary system can be drawn by a user using predefined components (e.g., transformer, instrument transformer).

[0062] There are two data collection devices 104,105 or merging units as well as the protection and control device 110 (corresponds to IED01 in Figure 2 ) simplified. The seven functional groups 11-17 according to Figure 2 are indicated as boxes 111-117. The user can now graphically parameterize a connection to a function in the IED / protection device or in the merging unit by simply clicking and dragging measurement points with the mouse (or another manipulation device). This represents a significant simplification of the previously very complex configuration process.

[0063] For example, the user has already created the connections shown graphically, which were then automatically converted into configuration files according to the configuration tools described in the previous figures.

[0064] Data communication connections 102 are current measurement values transmitted via the process bus. Data communication connections 103 are voltage measurement values transmitted via the process bus. Data communication connections 106, 107 describe transformer switching positions, which are transmitted to the merging units 104, 105. Connections 109, 120 transmit voltage measurement values from the transformers, and connections 108, 121 transmit current measurement values from the transformers to the merging units 104, 105.

[0065] The graphical assignment of the interconnections in the single-line diagram system is stored in a "Specification Description file (.ssd)" according to the IEC 61850 standard. Based on this information in the SSD file and the information in the so-called "ICD file," the current and voltage transformer channels of the merging units are automatically interconnected to the process bus client TCTR / TVTR according to an algorithm or application template.

[0066] An import from the system configuration tool into the DIGSI tool for setting up the process bus client is performed by automatically transferring the parameters of the current transformers and voltage transformers of the merging units to the process bus client when importing the SCD file into DIGSI. This ensures the consistency of all settings, for example, the parameters for the primary transformer (primary rated current, transformation ratios).

[0067] In summary, it can be stated that, compared to prior art methods, the application of the instantiable 3-phase current / 3-phase voltage measurement modules to the configuration of a digital process bus application according to IEC 61850 9-2 in the method according to the invention simplifies the configuration of a protective arrangement. Previously, there was no consistent handling of the instantiable measurement modules in the engineering tool chain from the engineering tool of the merging unit, to the system configuration tool, to the engineering tool of the process bus client. An instantiable measurement module, within the meaning of the invention, is a bundle—depending on the connection type—of three or four current or voltage channels to be transmitted.

[0068] According to the invention, the interconnection is simplified in particular by the following new elements or views: 1.) New "Merging Unit Routing" view in the Merging Unit Engineering Tool. 2.) New Process Bus column in the process bus client's measuring point routing. 3.) Graphical interconnection of current and voltage transformers via process bus communication in the Single Line Editor. 4.) Automated connection of the sampled values sender and receiver in the system configuration tool based on the single line configuration. 5.) Consistent data transfer of setting values from the sender data objects TCTR / TVTR to the receiver data objects.

[0069] This results in a number of advantages: 1.) By adopting the concept of instantiation of the measuring modules and the configuration of the connection with a parameter to the process bus configuration, the complexity of the individual interconnections of the current and voltage transformer channels is eliminated. 2. The instantiation of the measuring modules in the merging unit allows for high flexibility with regard to the transmission of multiple current and voltage measuring points or in different process bus rings. 3. By limiting the number of channels used in the process bus client, optimal scaling with regard to the internal resources used (bandwidth) is achieved. 4. The automated interconnection in the system configuration tool and the use of application templates saves effort during configuration and reduces potential wiring errors. 5. The usability of the configuration is improved by the graphical assignment and visualization in the Single Line Editor.
