Description
[0001] The invention relates to an ultrasonic tool comprising a first end face and a second end face opposite the first end face, as well as a tool surface connecting the first end face and the second end face, wherein the ultrasonic tool is elongated in a tool longitudinal direction, wherein at least the first end face is designed as a connecting contact surface which is configured to press the ultrasonic tool against a connecting component, and wherein the ultrasonic tool has an end region comprising the connecting contact surface which extends from the connecting contact surface in the tool longitudinal direction over 15 mm, but at most one third of a length of the ultrasonic tool determined in the tool longitudinal direction in the direction of the opposite end face.Furthermore, the invention relates to an ultrasonic connection device comprising an ultrasonic tool, an ultrasonic generator, a transducer and a laser generator for providing a laser beam.
[0002] An ultrasonic tool of this type is used, for example, in ultrasonic bonding or ultrasonic welding. The ultrasonic tool is excited to vibrations, such as torsional, bending, or longitudinal vibrations, via the transducer, which typically uses piezoelectric transducers as vibration exciters. The vibration exciters, in turn, are driven by the ultrasonic generator.
[0003] In addition to conventional ultrasonic tools, ultrasonic tools for laser-assisted ultrasonic bonding or ultrasonic welding are known. Such tools are described, for example, in JP 5259220 A, DE 10 2018 120 822 A1, and DE 10 2017 129 546 A1. These ultrasonic tools feature a longitudinal recess extending along the tool's length, which extends from the second end face toward the joining contact surface or terminates within it. The laser beam, supplied by the laser generator, is coupled into the longitudinal recess of the ultrasonic tool and travels through it to the end region containing the joining contact surface, or exits the ultrasonic tool at the joining contact surface and impacts the component being joined. However, a disadvantage of this method is that, depending on the design and spatial conditions, coupling the laser beam into the longitudinal recess and changing the ultrasonic tool can be difficult. Furthermore, vapors may be generated or particles may be released when the laser beam strikes the joining component, leading to contamination of the joining component or its surroundings.
[0004] From JP S63 44970 A, an ultrasonic transducer is known which provides recesses on the outer shell, which serve to tune the transducer with respect to its longitudinal and torsional vibrations.
[0005] JP H04 74445 A also describes a bonding device with a bonding tool which is heated in the area of a tool tip by means of a laser beam. The laser beam is guided inside the bonding tool to the tip of the bonding tool through a blind-hole-like longitudinal recess provided there.
[0006] A device and a method for laser welding are known from US 5,194,710 A.
[0007] JP H05 109808 A and JP H09 51162 A describe an ultrasonic joining device for ultrasonic welding and ultrasonic bonding, respectively, comprising a bonding tool, an ultrasonic generator, and a transducer. The ultrasonic generator excites the transducer to ultrasonic vibrations. The transducer, in turn, sets the ultrasonic tool into ultrasonic vibrations.
[0008] US 5,431,324 A describes an ultrasonic bonding device in which vibrations of a bonding tool of the bonding device are detected by means of a laser Doppler vibrometer.
[0009] US patent 2010 / 025453 A1 discloses a bonding device with a bonding tool that is excited to vibrate. The device includes an interferometer to measure the vibrations of the bonding tool without contact.
[0010] The object of the present invention is to provide an improved ultrasonic tool for laser-assisted ultrasonic bonding and / or welding, as well as an ultrasonic joining device.
[0011] To solve the problem, the invention in conjunction with the preamble of claim 1 is characterized in that a pocket-shaped or blind-hole-like recess with a recess-shell surface and a recess base facing the connecting contact surface is formed in the end region on the tool-shell surface.
[0012] The particular advantage of the invention lies in the fact that by providing the pocket-shaped or blind-hole-like recess on the tool's outer surface, the laser beam can be directed from the outside onto the ultrasonic tool and the recess. This significantly simplifies the positioning of the laser generator, or parts thereof, relative to the ultrasonic tool. Furthermore, the recess is located directly in the end region with the connecting contact surface. Therefore, the ultrasonic tool is heated by the laser beam precisely where the connecting component is applied to the ultrasonic tool.
[0013] In accordance with the invention, the recess provided on the tool's outer surface is pocket-shaped or blind-hole-like if the recess has a single opening and this single opening is exclusively surrounded by the tool's outer surface. In this respect, the recess does not extend into the joining contact surface or the second end face. The joining contact surface is thus designed to be closed in such a way that the laser beam does not pass through the recess onto the joining component or exit at the joining contact surface. This results in an indirect supply of thermal energy to the joining zone through the heating of the ultrasonic tool in the end region and the heat flow from the ultrasonic tool to the joining component. This effectively prevents impermissible heating of the connecting component, damage to it, or contamination of the connection point and / or parts of the laser generator or the optical components of the laser generator (lens or optical waveguide or the like) that shape and / or guide the laser beam.
[0014] At the same time, the provision of the pocket-shaped or blind-hole-like recess reduces the risk of the laser beam being reflected uncontrollably, particularly onto the connecting components or towards the operator. This counteracts the risk of damage to the connecting components or a danger to the operator's health. Furthermore, it ensures that the ultrasonic tool can be heated quickly, as the laser beam strikes the ultrasonic tool in the end region adjacent to the joining contact surface, thus converting the energy provided by the laser beam into heat close to the joint.
[0015] In accordance with the invention, the end region of the ultrasonic tool is defined, firstly, by the connecting contact surface. Secondly, the recess is located in the end region, and the end region extends a maximum of 15 mm in the longitudinal direction of the tool from the connecting contact surface, covering a maximum of one-third of the length of the ultrasonic tool. For very short ultrasonic tools, such as those used in ultrasonic ball bonding, the end region may be shorter than 15 mm. For ultrasonic tools with a length greater than 45 mm, the end region is shorter than one-third of the length of the ultrasonic tool.
[0016] According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the ultrasonic tool tapers in its end region. For example, the ultrasonic tool tapers in a wedge shape. A cross-section determined perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the tool decreases in at least section by section. Preferably, the outer dimensions of the ultrasonic tool also decrease continuously in the direction of the contact surface.
[0017] In a further development of the invention, the recess extends from the tool's outer surface towards the contact surface. Advantageously, this allows the laser beam to be guided even closer to the contact surface, further accelerating the heating of the ultrasonic tool in its end region. Furthermore, the corresponding design of the recess offers advantages in the arrangement and positioning of the laser generator and its components relative to the ultrasonic tool. Specifically, the laser beam can be directed at the end region of the ultrasonic tool from an oblique angle above.
[0018] According to a further development of the invention, a boundary contour of the recess or its surface, formed towards the tool's outer surface, is at least partially hyperbolic, parabolic, arc-shaped, or elliptical. The arc-shaped or elliptical shape results, for example, when the recess is cylindrical or frustoconical. Such a geometry can be manufactured relatively easily, precisely, and quickly, with the result that the ultrasonic tool, designed as a wear part, can be provided cost-effectively.
[0019] According to a further development of the invention, the recess is at least partially symmetrical with respect to its longitudinal central axis and / or has at least partially the same cross-sectional contour with respect to its size or shape. Advantageously, the symmetry, the uniform size, or the uniform cross-sectional shape reduce the manufacturing effort, with the result that the ultrasonic tool can be manufactured cost-effectively.
[0020] According to a further development of the invention, the longitudinal center axis of the recess and the longitudinal direction of the tool form an acute angle. Preferably, the acute angle is in the range of 15 to 50°. This advantageously simplifies the supply of the laser beam. In particular, the laser beam can be directed obliquely from above onto the end region of the ultrasonic tool. From a design perspective, this simplifies the arrangement of the laser generator or the integration of individual parts of the laser generator into a movable positioning head of an ultrasonic connection device. In particular, lenses or optical waveguides for shaping and guiding the laser beam can be provided on the positioning head and moved along with it, while other components of the laser generator (for example, a laser source) are installed in a fixed position.
[0021] According to a further development of the invention, the recess base and / or the recess's outer surface have a surface that diffusely reflects the laser beam. Advantageously, the diffusely reflecting surface prevents directional reflection of the laser beam, thus counteracting back-reflection of the laser beam towards the laser source and / or damage to components. Furthermore, the diffuse reflection in different directions reduces the radiation intensity; this is advantageous because surfaces can be altered or damaged above a material-, surface-, or wavelength-dependent irradiance (laser power density). Such alterations affect the absorption properties and thus ultimately the thermal behavior of the ultrasonic tool during laser irradiation.Secondly, excessive radiation intensity can produce vapors or particles that detach, with the result that they can settle in unfavorable places and / or interfere with the laser beam.
[0022] In a further development, the recess base is oriented perpendicular to the longitudinal center axis of the recess. This advantageously simplifies the production of the recess. For example, a recess oriented obliquely to the longitudinal direction of the tool, shaped like a cylinder or truncated cone, can have a surface oriented perpendicular to the recess's outer surface in the area of the recess base.
[0023] In a further development of the invention, the surface at the base of the recess is inclined to the longitudinal axis of the recess such that a laser beam incident on the recess is reflected at the base in the direction of the recess's outer surface. This advantageously improves the absorption capacity, since a reflected portion of the laser beam, after striking the base of the recess, again strikes a boundary surface of the recess. Furthermore, this counteracts the outward reflection of the laser beam.
[0024] In a further development of the invention, a rounded transition surface is formed between the recess's outer surface and its base. The rounded transition surface advantageously simplifies the production of the recess. Moreover, the rounded transition surface promotes the omnidirectional reflection of the laser beam.
[0025] According to a further development of the invention, the recess is oriented symmetrically to a tool longitudinal mean plane that accommodates the tool's longitudinal direction. It is particularly advantageous if the tool longitudinal mean plane is designed as a plane of symmetry of the ultrasonic tool. The symmetry advantageously simplifies the manufacture of the ultrasonic tool as well as its installation in the ultrasonic connection device.
[0026] According to a further development of the invention, the ultrasonic tool is designed symmetrically with respect to a transverse median plane oriented perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the tool. In addition to the first end face, the second end face of the ultrasonic tool is also designed as a connecting contact surface. Advantageously, the symmetry with respect to the transverse median plane allows the ultrasonic tool to be implemented as a reversible tool. This increases the tool life.
[0027] If the ultrasonic tool is designed as a reversible tool, it features two end regions on opposite faces, each with at least one pocket-shaped or blind-hole-like recess and a connecting contact surface. The symmetrical shape of the ultrasonic tool with respect to the transverse center plane ensures that, after reversing the ultrasonic tool, a new laser alignment relative to the ultrasonic tool is not required. It is only necessary to fix the ultrasonic tool in the defined installation position on the positioning head after reversing.
[0028] According to a further development of the invention, the recess of the ultrasonic tool is produced by die sinking EDM, by an additive manufacturing process, by laser structuring or laser ablation, by primary forming and in particular in a sintering process or by machining.
[0029] According to a further development of the invention, a profile is provided on at least one contact surface for pressing the ultrasonic tool against the component being joined. In particular, a contact contour for the component being joined can be provided on the contact surface of the ultrasonic tool. For example, the contact contour can be a V-shaped transverse recess for a bonding wire made of aluminum or copper, or a cushion and / or honeycomb structure for ultrasonic bonding or ultrasonic welding of flat parts such as aluminum strip or copper sheet leadframes. By providing the profile or contact contour, the flatness of the contact surface is at least locally interrupted, and a force-fit and / or form-fit connection of the component to the ultrasonic tool can be achieved.
[0030] According to a further development of the invention, the ultrasonic tool consists at least in the end region of a tungsten carbide or titanium carbide-based hard metal, a ceramic, steel and / or preferably of tungsten carbide in a cobalt matrix or boron nitride.
[0031] To solve this problem, the invention has the features of claim 12. Accordingly, it comprises an ultrasonic joining device for ultrasonic welding and / or ultrasonic bonding. an ultrasonic tool according to the invention with a recess formed on the tool's outer surface, an ultrasonic generator and a transducer, wherein the ultrasonic generator excites the transducer to vibrations and the transducer interacts with the ultrasonic tool in such a way that the ultrasonic tool is excited to ultrasonic vibrations and preferably to ultrasonic bending vibrations, a laser generator for providing a laser beam, wherein the laser beam is directed onto the recess formed on the ultrasonic tool in such a way that the laser beam preferably hits the ultrasonic tool completely or predominantly within the recess and that the laser beam particularly preferably hits the recess base facing the connecting contact surface of the ultrasonic tool.
[0032] The particular advantage of the invention lies in the fact that laser-assisted ultrasonic bonding or ultrasonic welding can be carried out effectively and safely using the ultrasonic joining device according to the invention. By providing the recess in the end region of the ultrasonic tool, energy can be introduced very precisely near the joining contact surface, resulting in rapid heating of the ultrasonic tool. Furthermore, the recess effectively counteracts undirected reflection of the laser beam and thus prevents damage to the components being joined.
[0033] According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the incident axis of the laser beam is oriented at an angle to the longitudinal center axis of the recess. Advantageously, the oblique incidence of the laser beam into the recess effectively and simply counteracts the risk of directional reflection of the laser beam, for example, at the recess base. As a result, the laser beam is reflected diffusely and thus multiple times within the recess, thereby improving its absorption capacity. Furthermore, the recess can have a base oriented perpendicular to the recess's outer surface and / or the longitudinal center axis, allowing the recess to have a simple and cost-effective geometry. This also prevents damage to optical components of the laser generator.Furthermore, the oblique incidence of the laser beam into the recess at the tool tip creates a large clearance, thus counteracting a collision with components of the connecting part or improving flexibility in the movement of the positioning head.
[0034] According to a further development of the invention, the laser beam strikes the base of the recess at an angle other than 90°. This advantageously counteracts a directed reflection of the laser beam, particularly in the direction of the incident axis of the laser beam.
[0035] According to a further development of the invention, the wavelength of the laser beam is such that it is matched to the material of the ultrasonic tool, or rather to its geometry and surface finish in the area of the recess, that an absorption coefficient of at least 0.3 and preferably 0.5 or more is achieved. Advantageously, this ensures that the ultrasonic tool can be heated very effectively by means of the laser beam. Furthermore, the heating effect is enhanced with each reflection, as the reflected portion of the laser beam strikes the ultrasonic tool again within the recess, consequently absorbing a further portion of the laser beam.
[0036] According to a further development of the invention, the ultrasonic connection device can include a measuring device configured for non-contact temperature measurement, wherein the measuring device is assigned to the ultrasonic tool such that the temperature measurement takes place in the end region of the ultrasonic tool and preferably in the recess. For example, the temperature measurement can be carried out by means of pyrometry. In particular, the non-contact temperature measurement in the recess can be carried out on a diffusely reflecting surface.
[0037] Further advantages, features, and details of the invention can be found in the dependent claims and the following description. Features mentioned therein can be essential to the invention, either individually or in any combination. Features and details of the ultrasonic tool described according to the invention naturally also apply in connection with the ultrasonic connection device, and vice versa. Thus, the disclosure relating to the individual aspects of the invention can always be referred to reciprocally. The drawings serve only as examples to clarify the invention and are not intended to be limiting.

[0039] The Figs. 1 to 3 Figure 1 shows a first embodiment of an ultrasonic tool 1 according to the invention, which comprises a first end face 2 designed as a connecting contact surface, a second connecting side 3 opposite the connecting contact surface 2, and a tool jacket surface 4 connecting the end faces 2 and 3. The ultrasonic tool 1 is elongated in a tool longitudinal direction 5.
[0040] The contact surface 2 is designed to press a connecting component (not shown) against the ultrasonic tool 1. The contact surface 2 is flat and without a contour. The ultrasonic tool 1 is used, for example, for ultrasonic bonding or ultrasonic welding of flat parts, in particular aluminum strip material or leadframes made of copper sheets.
[0041] The ultrasonic tool 1 is elongated in the longitudinal direction 5. It has a length L greater than 50 mm from the first end face 2 to the second end face 3. With respect to the longitudinal direction 5, the lower 15 mm of the ultrasonic tool 1, together with the connecting contact surface 2, form an end region 6 of the ultrasonic tool 1. In the end region 6, the ultrasonic tool 1 tapers towards the connecting contact surface 2 with respect to a cross-section oriented perpendicular to the longitudinal direction 5. With respect to its outer contour, the ultrasonic tool 1 tapers in the end region 6 towards the connecting contact surface 2. The connecting contact surface 2 extends substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal direction 5 or to a longitudinal center axis 7 of the tool oriented in the longitudinal direction 5.Furthermore, the ultrasonic tool 1 is symmetrically designed with respect to a longitudinal center plane 8 which accommodates the tool longitudinal center axis 7.
[0042] The ultrasonic tool 1 has a recess 9 in its end region 6. The recess 9 has an elliptically shaped boundary contour 10 that opens exclusively into the tool surface 4.
[0043] The recess 9 is designed as a blind hole or pocket. With respect to its longitudinal center axis 12, which is inclined at an acute angle 11 to the tool's longitudinal center axis 7, the recess 9 has a circular cross-sectional contour of constant size. The recess 9 thus has a cylindrical recess surface 13 and a flat recess base 14 oriented perpendicular to the longitudinal center axis 12 of the recess 9. The recess base 14 faces the connecting contact surface 2.
[0044] Fig. 4 Figure 1 shows a perspective view of the end region 6 and a laser beam 15 directed towards the recess 9. The laser beam 15 is designed as a divergent laser beam 15 with a focal point or focus which, relative to an incidence direction 16 of the laser beam 15, lies in front of the ultrasonic tool 1 and outside the recess 9. An incidence axis 17 of the laser beam 15 is oriented inclined to the longitudinal center axis 12 of the recess 9, see Figure 1. Fig. 5 The laser beam 15 strikes the recess base 14 at an oblique angle, i.e., an angle deviating from 90°. A reflected, i.e., not absorbed, part of the laser beam 15 is reflected by the recess base 14 towards the recess surface 13 and is absorbed again or reflected further there.
[0045] In Fig. 6 is a temperature of the in the Figs. 1 to 5The temperature profile of the ultrasonic tool 1 in the connection contact surface 2 is represented by the dashed graph 24. In contrast, the temperature profile of an ultrasonic tool without a recess, which otherwise has identical dimensions and is made of the same material, is shown in graph 25, represented by a solid line. Both ultrasonic tools are irradiated with a laser beam of the same wavelength, focus, and position at the same constant power.
[0046] At time t0, the laser beam 15 is switched on and at time t1, it is switched off. Starting from an ambient temperature, both ultrasonic tools are heated by the laser beam 15. However, the ultrasonic tool 1 according to the invention heats up faster and to a higher temperature than the comparison tool. It has therefore been demonstrated that the ultrasonic tool 1 according to the invention absorbs more power, or rather, less power is lost through reflection of the laser beam 15.
[0047] As far as in Fig. 4 and 5 The fact that the laser beam diverges at 15 degrees is merely an example. Fig. 7 The ultrasonic tool 1 is then used according to the Figs. 1 to 3 irradiated with a collimated laser beam 15. In the Fig. 8 The laser beam is shaped convergently 15.
[0048] Fig. 9 shows a cross-sectional view of the end region 6 of the ultrasonic tool 1 according to the Figs. 1 to 3with the recess 9. In the enlarged view, it becomes clear that a rounded transition surface 18 is formed between the recess outer surface 13 and the recess base 14. The contrasting Fig. 10 additionally shows the axis of incidence 17 of the laser beam 15, which is inclined to the longitudinal central axis 12.
[0049] A second embodiment of the ultrasonic tool 1 according to the Fig. 11 The design provides a recess 9 that is inclined more steeply with respect to the acute angle 11. As before, the recess 9 is equipped with a cylindrical recess surface 13 and a flat recess base 14 oriented perpendicular to the longitudinal center axis 12 of the recess 9. A transition surface 18 between the recess surface 13 and the recess base 14 is omitted in this design.
[0050] According to a third embodiment of the ultrasonic tool 1 Fig. 12The recess surface 13 of the recess 9 is formed in a frustoconical shape, with the recess 9 tapering towards the recess base 14.
[0051] According to a fourth embodiment, the ultrasonic tool 1 looks like this Fig. 13 A recess 9 with a cylindrical recess surface 13 and a flat recess base 14 is provided. The recess base 14 is, however, oriented parallel to the connecting contact surface 2 or perpendicular to the tool longitudinal center axis 7 and consequently inclined to the longitudinal center axis 12 of the recess 9.
[0052] According to a fifth embodiment of the invention according to the Figs. 14 to 17The ultrasonic tool 1 provides a connection contact side 2 with a V-shaped contact contour 19. The contact contour 19 extends transversely to the longitudinal direction 5 of the tool in the longitudinal center plane 8 of the ultrasonic tool 1. The V-shaped receiving contour 19 serves in particular to receive a bonding wire during ultrasonic wire bonding.
[0053] The recess 9, which the ultrasonic tool 1 provides in the end region 6, is designed in a pocket-like manner such that the recess base 14 extends to the tool's outer surface 4. The boundary contour 10 of the recess 9 is defined by the recess's outer surface 13, which is partially semi-cylindrical and partially flat, and by the recess base 14. With respect to a longitudinal center axis 12 of the recess 9, which refers to the semi-cylindrical region of the recess's outer surface 13, the recess 9 is oriented at an acute angle 11 to the tool's longitudinal center axis 7.
[0054] The laser beam 15 strikes the ultrasonic tool 1 completely or predominantly in the area of the recess base 14. In particular, it can be provided that the incidence axis 17 of the laser beam 15 is inclined to the longitudinal center axis 12 of the recess or obliquely to the recess base 14.
[0055] According to a sixth embodiment of the invention according to the Figs. 18 to 21 The ultrasonic tool 1 is designed in two parts. In the end region 6, the ultrasonic tool 1 provides, as before, the recess 9, which corresponds in its geometry to the recess 9 of the ultrasonic tool 1 according to the fifth embodiment of the invention. As before, the base 14 of the recess faces the connecting contact surface 2 of the ultrasonic tool 1.
[0056] The connection contour surface 2 is provided with a cushion-shaped contact contour 19. While the recess 9 in the end region 6 is formed on a shaft of the ultrasonic tool 1 that extends in the longitudinal direction 5 of the tool, the connection contour surface 2 with the cushion-shaped contact contour 19 is formed by a contact cushion 21 attached to the shaft 20 and bonded, brazed, or mechanically connected to it.
[0057] Fig. 21 shows how the convergently shaped laser beam 15 enters the recess 9 of the ultrasonic tool 1 and preferentially hits the recess base 14 in the recess 9.
[0058] The Figs. 22 to 25 Figure 1 shows a seventh, an eighth, a ninth, and a tenth embodiment of the ultrasonic tool 1 according to the invention. The ultrasonic tools 1 according to the Figs. 22 to 25differ particularly in terms of the geometry or design of the recess base 14 of the recess 9.
[0059] In Fig. 22 The seventh embodiment of the invention is realized with a multiply serrated recess base 14. According to an eighth embodiment of the invention according to Fig. 23 The ultrasonic tool provides a recess 9 which has a recess base 14 that tapers wedge-shaped or funnel-shaped towards the connection contour surface 2. According to the Figs. 24 and 25 The recess base 14 is simply serrated. The serrations are each oriented such that a laser beam 15 striking the recess base 14 in the area of the serration flanks is deflected laterally towards the recess outer surface 13. The recess 9 according to the ninth embodiment of the invention ( Fig. 24 ) and the tenth embodiment of the invention ( Fig. 25) differ in that the tip of the exclusion ground in Fig. 24 sharply defined edges, while they are in Fig. 25 is rounded or rounded in shape.
[0060] According to an eleventh embodiment of the invention according to the Figs. 26 to 28 The ultrasonic tool 1 is symmetrical with respect to the longitudinal median plane 8 and additionally symmetrical with respect to a transverse median plane 22. It is therefore a reversible tool with a central receptacle 23, in which the first end face 2 and also the second end face 3' opposite the first end face 2 are designed as connecting contact surfaces 2, 3'.
[0061] The ultrasonic tool 1 tapers towards the connecting contact surfaces 2, 3' and thus forms two free end regions 6 on opposite sides, each with a recess 9. The recesses 9 are arranged at an acute angle to the longitudinal direction 5 of the tool such that the base 14 of each recess faces the adjacent connecting contact surface 2, 3'.
[0062] The recess surface 13 of each recess 9 is cylindrically realized as in the first embodiment of the invention, and the recess base 14 is flat and oriented perpendicular to the longitudinal central axis 12 of the recess 9. Fig. 29This shows that the divergent laser beam 15, during operation of the laser generator or the ultrasonic connection arrangement, is directed towards the recess 9 and predominantly strikes the recess base 14. The incidence axis 17 of the laser beam 15 is inclined to the longitudinal center axis 12 of the recess 9. Therefore, the laser beam 15 strikes the flat recess base 14 at an oblique angle.
[0063] The geometry of the various recesses 9 is chosen as an example. The recess geometry is not limited to the embodiments shown. In particular, it is not necessary that a sharp-edged transition is formed from the recess surface 13 to the recess base 14, nor that the recess 9 has a regular or symmetrical shape. For example, the recess 9 can be hemispherical or teardrop-shaped, or bounded by a freeform surface.
[0064] Identical components and component functions are identified by the same reference numerals.
