Description

[0001] The invention relates to a hand-held pulling and pushing device for driving interchangeable tools, with a drive unit having a battery-operated electric motor, a screw drive with a threaded spindle connected to the drive unit and rotatably mounted on a housing body, and a threaded nut rotatably mounted on the threaded spindle and non-rotatably mounted on the housing body via a bearing unit, and a coupling unit connected to a tool holder for transmitting tensile and compressive forces resulting from the direction of rotation of the threaded spindle from the threaded nut to the tool holder.

[0002] Hand-held pulling and pushing devices, i.e. devices that can be used by a single person in a mobile manner, such as hand-held, electric riveting and pressing devices for setting blind rivet elements, such as blind rivets and blind rivet nuts, or for carrying out punching processes and for setting punch rivets, which have a drive unit with an electric motor-driven threaded spindle of a screw drive, are known in a wide variety of designs from the prior art. The screw drive converts a rotary movement of the electric motor into a linear movement of the pulling or pressing tool in a known manner. When carrying out the setting process of a blind rivet element, for example, a pulling mandrel of the blind rivet element is moved axially.

[0003] The riveting and pressing devices described above are used, for example, in automotive workshops for repair work on vehicle bodies and for maintenance work on pipe or cable connections. Depending on the work to be performed, the riveting and pressing devices must be able to drive a wide variety of interchangeable tools. Even known handheld devices that allow the operation of both pulling and pressing tools have the disadvantage of limited connection and / or drive options for interchangeable tools.

[0004] Based on this, the object of the invention is to provide a hand-held pulling and pushing device that can be used flexibly.

[0005] The invention solves the problem by a hand-held pulling and pushing device having the features of claim 1. Advantageous further developments of the invention are specified in the dependent claims.

[0006] A characteristic feature of the hand-held pulling and pushing device according to the invention is that the housing body of the hand-held pulling and pushing device has a connecting section for releasably fixing a tool device to the pulling and pushing device.

[0007] Tool devices are various structural units that can be driven by the pull and push device. These can be, for example, devices for converting the pull and push forces or other types of adapters. If the hand-held pull and push device is designed in such a way that it can also be used to drive rotary tool devices, the tool device can also be formed, for example, by an articulated device that allows the tool device to pivot relative to the pull and push device.

[0008] The inventive design of the housing body of the hand-held pull and push device with a connecting section for the releasable attachment of various tool devices to the pull and push device makes it possible, with a corresponding design of the tool device, to arrange these on the hand-held pull and push device according to the application. By providing a preferably standardized connecting section, it is thus possible to significantly increase the range of applications of the hand-held pull and push device, whereby a wide range of tasks can be performed using different tool devices using the hand-held pull and push device, particularly if, according to a further development of the invention, it is also designed to drive rotary-operated tool devices.

[0009] The tool devices can be attached to the housing body of the hand-held push-pull device in any way. For example, the connecting section could be designed with a thread, which would allow tool devices with corresponding threads to be attached to the connecting section of the push-pull device. However, according to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the connecting section has a quick-action coupling that can be adjusted between a locking position and an unlocking position.

[0010] The use of a quick-action coupling, which is characterized in that it can be quickly adjusted by the operator with little effort between the unlocking position, in which a tool device can be arranged on or removed from the connecting section, and the locking position, in which a tool device is fixedly attached to the connecting section of the pull and push device. The quick-action coupling is characterized in particular in that additional tools for removing or arranging the tool devices can be dispensed with. A design of the hand-held pull and push device with a quick-action coupling thus enables a quick and convenient change or assembly and disassembly of a tool device on or from the pull and push device.

[0011] In principle, the quick-action coupling can be adjusted between the unlocked and locked positions in any desired manner. For example, the quick-action coupling can be designed such that it can be mechanically adjusted between the unlocked and locked positions by an operator. However, according to an advantageous development of the invention, the quick-action coupling can be adjusted between the unlocked and locked positions by means of an electric drive device.

[0012] The use of an electric drive device for operating the quick-release coupling, i.e., for adjusting it between the unlocking and locking positions, significantly increases the convenience of the handheld push-pull device. Furthermore, incorrect operation of the quick-release couplings is minimized or completely eliminated by an electric drive device.

[0013] A further increase in operational reliability can be achieved by a further advantageous embodiment of the hand-held pull and push device in that the quick coupling has a sensor unit for detecting the status and a display unit connected to the sensor unit for signaling the status of the quick coupling. According to this embodiment of the invention, the status of the quick coupling can be detected by means of the sensor unit, i.e., in particular, it can be determined whether it is in the unlocked or locked position. The status detected by the sensor unit can then be displayed to an operator of the pull and push device via a display unit, which can be, for example, suitable signal lamps, whereby operational reliability can be further increased.

[0014] According to a further embodiment of the invention, it is further provided that the sensor unit is designed with a communication unit for transmitting the status detection to the drive unit. According to this embodiment of the invention, the status of the quick-action coupling determined by the sensor unit is transmitted by means of the communication unit to the drive unit or to a control unit controlling the drive unit. With a corresponding design of the control unit, operation of the push-pull device can thus be blocked if the sensor unit does not signal to the drive unit that the quick-action coupling is in a safe operating position.

[0015] To transmit the sensor data via the communication unit to the drive unit, the communication unit can be designed in any way; it can be designed for both wireless and wired data transmission, whereby the Bluetooth standard is preferably used for wireless data transmission.

[0016] The quick coupling can in principle be designed in any way, provided that it is guaranteed that it enables simple and quick adjustment between the unlocking and locking positions and thus enables quick replacement or assembly and disassembly of the tool devices.According to a further development of the invention, it is provided that the quick coupling has a ball catch with a locking ring and a coupling ring having a plurality of openings, each having a ball catch body, wherein the locking ring arranged coaxially to the coupling ring, the coupling ring and the ball catch bodies are coordinated with one another in such a way that in the locking position the ball catch bodies are arranged in sections in the openings in such a way that they protrude from an inner side of the coupling ring and are secured in position by the locking ring in this locking position, and in the unlocking position the ball catch bodies can be displaced into a release position.

[0017] A locking ring is understood to be a ring-shaped design, preferably with a round cross-section. For easier handling, it can, for example, have gripping elements or a non-slip structure on its outer surface. The coupling ring is also arranged coaxially to the locking ring and, like the locking ring, is preferably circular in cross-section.

[0018] The openings in the coupling ring are adapted to the shape of the ball detent bodies. To prevent malfunctions caused by the ball detent bodies slipping out of the openings, the openings are designed in such a way that the balls cannot escape from the inside of the coupling rings. This can be achieved, for example, by a slightly conical design of the openings. The openings are shaped in such a way that they protrude beyond the inside of the coupling ring in the locked position. The locking ring is adjustable relative to the coupling ring in such a way that in the locking position it secures the ball detent bodies in the locked position, i.e. in the position in which the ball detent bodies protrude sectionally from the inside of the coupling ring.In the unlocked position, the locking ring allows the ball locking bodies to be moved into the release position, in which they can be moved into the openings to such an extent that they no longer protrude from the inside of the coupling ring.

[0019] A corresponding design of the pull and push device thus makes it possible to easily arrange a tool device on the connecting section when the quick coupling is in the unlocked position. In this state, the ball locking bodies are located in a position in the openings in which they no longer protrude from the inside, so that a tool device can be arranged coaxially to the inside of the coupling ring. A subsequent adjustment of the quick coupling into the locking position causes a displacement of the ball locking bodies towards the inside, so that they protrude sectionally from the inside and engage with a corresponding connecting section on the tool device, thus preventing displacement in the longitudinal axis direction of the pull and push device, so that the tool device is reliably locked to the pull and push device. The further development of the quick coupling with a ball lock also enables the tool device to be rotated relative to the pull and push device around its longitudinal axis.

[0020] To disassemble the tool device, it is only necessary to move the locking ring into the unlocking position, which allows the ball locking bodies to be moved into the openings so that they no longer protrude from the inside, which allows the tool device to be removed.

[0021] To increase operational reliability, a further development of the invention provides a locking unit that secures the locking ring in the locked position. The locking unit can, for example, be a preferably spring-loaded locking pin that locks the locking ring in the locked position, so that the locking ring can only be moved from the locked position to the unlocked position after a corresponding movement of the locking unit, e.g., the locking pin. Malfunctions or incorrect operation of the pull and push device are thus additionally prevented.

[0022] According to a further embodiment of the invention, the locking ring is further provided for rotation relative to the coupling ring between the locking and unlocking positions. A corresponding embodiment of the invention is characterized by the fact that the installation space can be kept particularly small and, moreover, malfunctions of the quick-action coupling are effectively prevented.

[0023] An embodiment of the invention is explained below with reference to the drawings. In the drawings: Fig. 1 is a sectional view of a schematic representation of a pulling and pushing device with a tool device connected to a connecting section; Fig. 2 is a sectional view of a schematic representation of a quick coupling in an unlocking position and Fig. 3 is a sectional view of a schematic representation of the quick coupling of Fig. 2 in a locked position.

[0024] Figure 1 shows a schematic representation of a hand-held pulling and pushing device 1 with a tool device 11 connected to a connecting section 10 of the housing body 5 of the pulling and pushing device 1.

[0025] The hand-held pull and push device 1 has a drive unit 2 with an electric motor 3 for driving a threaded spindle 6 of a screw drive 4, which can be controlled and regulated via a control unit 21. The drive unit 2 has an intermediate gear 22 for transmitting the rotary movements of the electric motor 3 to the threaded spindle 6.

[0026] The screw drive 4 converts the rotational movement of the threaded spindle 6 driven by the drive unit 2 into a translational movement of a tool holder designed as a piston rod 9 and connected to a coupling unit 8. The coupling unit 8 is connected to a threaded nut 7, which is arranged in a rotationally fixed manner relative to the housing body 5 of the pull-and-push device 1, so that as a result of the rotational movement of the threaded spindle 6, the threaded nut 7 executes a linear movement along the longitudinal axis of the threaded spindle 6, which can be used to drive the tool holder designed as a piston rod 9.

[0027] In the Figure 1In the illustrated embodiment, the threaded spindle 6 of the screw drive 4 is designed as a hollow shaft, within which a rotary shaft 23 extends coaxially. The rotary shaft 23 is connected in a rotationally fixed manner to the drive unit 2, so that rotary movements generated by the drive unit 2 can be transmitted to corresponding tool devices 11 that can be connected to the connection section 10, regardless of the adjustment path of the threaded nut 7 on the threaded spindle 6. If the rotary shaft 23 is used to drive a tool device 11, the threaded spindle 6 is decoupled from the drive unit 2 on the pull and push device 1, so that the rotary shaft 23 is rotated solely by the drive unit 2.

[0028] For the detachable connection of different tool devices 11 which are designed for connection to the coupling unit 8, the tool holder 9 and / or the rotary shaft 23, the connecting section 10 of the housing body 5 of the pulling and pushing device 1 has a quick coupling 12 which is Figure 2 in its unlocked position and in Figure 3 shown in its locked position.

[0029] The quick coupling 12 has an outer locking ring 14, a coupling ring 15, and ball locking bodies 16 arranged in openings 17, which together form a ball locking mechanism 13. The ball locking bodies 16 are slidably arranged in the openings 17, wherein the openings 17 are designed such that, in the locked position, they protrude in sections beyond the inner side 19 of the coupling ring 15. However, the openings 17 are designed such that the ball locking bodies 16 cannot be moved out of the openings 17 via the inner side 19.

[0030] In the Figure 2In the unlocking position shown, it is possible to displace the ball locking bodies 16 arranged in the locking position in the direction of the locking ring 14, wherein the ball locking bodies 16 are then adjusted into corresponding recesses 18 on an inner surface of the locking ring 14, so that the ball locking bodies 16 no longer protrude beyond the inner side 19 of the coupling ring 15. In this position, it is then possible to arrange a tool device 11 adapted to the quick coupling 12 coaxially to the locking ring 14, or to remove an arranged tool device 11 from the connecting section 10.

[0031] A tool device 11 arranged in sections coaxial with the coupling ring 15 is displaced by a displacement of the locking ring 14 from the position shown in Figure 2 shown unlocking position into the Figure 3shown locking position in its position on the connecting section 10 of the pull and push device 1, whereby the locking ring 14 then locks the ball locking bodies 16 in the position shown in Figure 3 The locking ring 14 is locked in the locking position shown, in which the ball locking bodies 16 protrude in sections from the inner side 19 of the coupling ring 15 and create a positive connection with a corresponding connecting section of the tool device 11 in the longitudinal axis direction of the pulling and pushing device 1. For convenient adjustment, i.e. rotation of the locking ring 14 between the unlocking and locking positions by an operator, the locking ring 14 has a grip element 20. The quick coupling 12 offers the possibility of rotating the tool device 11 in the locking position about the longitudinal axis of the pulling and pushing device 1. List of reference symbols
