Abstract
Description
[0001] The present invention relates to a drainage system according to the preamble of claim 1.
[0002] Such drainage systems essentially consist of one or more drainage channels and one or more drainage mats.
[0003] The drainage mats are usually placed alongside the drainage channel after the drainage channel has been laid and then covered with gravel or similar. A surface, such as paving slabs, paving stones, etc., is laid on top of the gravel. This allows any water accumulating on the surface to be channeled through the drainage mat to the respective drainage point or to an external gutter.
[0004] A particular problem with such a drainage system is that when the gravel layer and / or the covering is applied to the drainage mat and / or due to different expansions of the various building materials, the drainage mat often slips, which can lead to the drainage of the drainage channel into the drainage mat being impaired or even blocked, for example by gravel falling into a gap between the drainage channel and the drainage mat caused by the slipping.
[0005] The object of the present invention is to further develop the drainage system so that the drainage mat can be reliably connected to the drainage channel in order to enable permanent, safe drainage.
[0006] The stated problem is solved by a drainage system having the features of claim 1.
[0007] The drainage system according to the invention comprises at least one drainage channel and at least one drainage mat.
[0008] The drainage system according to the invention further comprises at least one connecting element connecting the at least one drainage channel to the at least one drainage mat, wherein the connecting element has a back that can be fastened to the drainage channel and a leg that extends from the back at an angle, in particular at a right angle, which leg rests on an edge region of the drainage mat when the drainage mat is in place.
[0009] By ensuring that the connecting element overlaps sufficiently with the drainage mat, permanent, safe drainage from the drainage channel into the drainage mat can be ensured.
[0010] Advantageous embodiments of the invention are the subject of the subclaims.
[0011] The connecting element is preferably made of steel or aluminum sheet or plastic.
[0012] This ensures cost-effective production of such a connecting element.
[0013] According to a further advantageous embodiment, the leg designed as a spring leg rests on the drainage mat under the action of a spring force.
[0014] This allows the drainage mat to be clamped in place using the connecting element.
[0015] According to an advantageous further development, the drainage system has a base arranged laterally from the drainage channel or below the back of the connecting element.
[0016] The additional clamping of the drainage mat provides additional security during the installation of the complete drainage system.
[0017] According to an advantageous further development, the base is designed as a part of the connecting element extending at an angle, in particular at a right angle to the back, wherein the leg and the base together with the back form a receiving pocket into which an edge region of the drainage mat can be inserted.
[0018] The base, the back and the leg of the connecting element preferably form an approximately U-shaped receiving pocket into which the edge area of the drainage mat can be easily inserted.
[0019] A connecting element designed in this way can be easily manufactured from a single sheet of metal.
[0020] According to an advantageous further development, the leg has a first section close to the back of the connecting element, which is bent from the back at an acute angle in the direction of the drainage mat, and a second section remote from the back, adjoining the first section, which is aligned parallel to the drainage mat.
[0021] In yet another embodiment, the leg has a third section adjoining the second section, which extends at an obtuse angle from the second section away from the drainage mat.
[0022] Particularly preferably, the second section of the leg rests on the drainage mat.
[0023] The clamping creates a reliable frictional connection between the drainage mat and the connecting element.
[0024] The third section also makes it easier to thread the edge area of the drainage mat under the leg or, in the case of the connecting element with integrated base, into the receiving pocket of the connecting element formed by the leg, the base and the back.
[0025] According to a further advantageous embodiment, the back of the connecting element is fixed against a side wall of the drainage channel.
[0026] The fixation can be done in a form-fitting or material-fitting manner or with the help of screw bolts or rivets or the like.
[0027] According to a further advantageous embodiment, the back of the connecting element is fixed to the side wall of the drainage channel in a height-adjustable manner.
[0028] According to a further preferred embodiment, the side wall of the drainage channel, to which the back of the connecting element is fixed, as well as the back of the connecting element lying against the side wall are provided with similarly arranged openings.
[0029] These openings are preferably slit-shaped.
[0030] According to another alternative design variant, the base is designed as a separate component screwed to a base of the drainage channel.
[0031] Advantageous embodiments of the drainage system according to the invention are explained in more detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings. They show: Fig. 1 a schematic perspective view of an embodiment of a drainage system in an exploded view, Fig. 2 a side sectional view through the drainage system in the assembled final state with inserted or clamped drainage mat, Fig. 3 a perspective individual view of a connecting element according to the invention, Fig. 4 a side view of the Fig. 3 Connecting element, Fig. 5 an enlarged detail of the Fig. 3 shown connecting element, Fig. 6 one of the Fig. 2 corresponding representation of a drainage system with geometrically slightly modified connecting element for the inclusion of a drainage mat with Fig. 2 shown drainage mat of different construction heights, Fig. 7 a schematic perspective view of an alternative design variant of a drainage system in an exploded view, Fig. 8 an enlarged detail of the in Fig. 7 shown section, Fig. 9one of the Fig. 2corresponding representation of the drainage system according to Figure 9 with a height-adjustable connecting element attached to the drainage channel and a base designed separately from the connecting element as a single component, Fig. 10 a perspective exploded view of the Fig. 7 shown connecting element and separate base, and Fig. 11 a side view of the Fig. 10 elements shown.
[0032] In the following description of the figures, terms such as top, bottom, left, right, front, rear, etc., refer exclusively to the exemplary representation and position of the drainage system, drainage channel, drainage mat, connecting element, base, back, legs, and the like chosen in the respective figures. These terms are not to be understood as limiting; i.e., these references may change due to different working positions or mirror-symmetrical design, etc.
[0033] In the Figures 1 and7 Reference number 1 denotes an embodiment variant of a drainage system according to the invention.
[0034] The drainage system 1 has in both versions, as shown in the Fig. 1 , 7 and the side views according to Fig. 2 and 9 is shown, at least one drainage channel 2, at least one drainage mat 3 and at least one connecting element 4 connecting the at least one drainage channel 2 to the at least one drainage mat 3.
[0035] The connecting element 4 further comprises, in both embodiments shown, a back 42 which can be fastened to the drainage channel 2 and a leg 43 which extends from the back 42 and which rests on an edge region 34 of the drainage mat 3 when the drainage mat 3 is in place.
[0036] The leg 43, which is preferably designed as a spring leg, rests on the drainage mat 3 under the action of a spring force.
[0037] In the Figures 1 to 6 In the embodiment shown, the connecting element 4 is designed in such a way that it connects the drainage mat 3, as shown in Fig. 2 shown, can be inserted and preferably additionally fixed by clamping.
[0038] For clamping the drainage mat 3 to the connecting element 4, the connecting element 4 has, as shown in the Fig. 2 to Fig. 6 is shown, has a base 41 which is bent at an angle, in particular at a right angle to the back 42, and a leg 43 extending from the back 42 and designed as a spring leg.
[0039] This leg 43 forms together with the bottom 41 and the back 42 of the connecting element 4 a receiving pocket 49, as is particularly shown in Fig. 4 and Fig. 5 is shown.
[0040] This receiving pocket 49 is dimensioned such that an edge region 34 of the drainage mat 3 can be inserted into it.
[0041] The bottom 41, the back 42 and the leg 43 of the connecting element 4 are preferably aligned with each other in such a way that they form an approximately U-shaped receiving pocket 49.
[0042] In the alternative design variant of the drainage system 1, as shown in the Figures 7 to 11 As shown, the connecting element 4 is designed without a base 41. The base 41 is designed here as a separate component, as is particularly the case in the Figures 10 and 11 is shown.
[0043] The base 41 is preferably attached, preferably screwed, to the drainage channel 2, particularly preferably to a base 21 of the drainage channel 2. For the passage of the screws 5, bores 211, 411 are provided in the base 41 and the base 21 of the drainage channel 2. Attachment to the side wall 22 of the drainage channel 2 is also conceivable, with the base 41 in this case preferably being shaped as an angle piece.
[0044] Here, too, the connecting element 4 is fixed to the drainage channel by its back 42, preferably by screwing. The screwing allows the connecting element 4 and thus the spring plate 43 to be screwed to the drainage channel 2 at different heights (height-adjustable), which easily allows the use of drainage mats 3 of different heights.
[0045] In principle, it is also conceivable to place the drainage mat 3 and the drainage channel 2 on a substrate, for example in the form of a roof membrane (waterproofing) and to fix only the connecting element 4, which is designed without a base 41, with its back 42 to the drainage channel 2 and thus to cover the edge area 34 of the drainage mat 3.
[0046] The connecting element 4 and, in the case of the base 41 formed separately from the connecting element 4, the base 41 are preferably made of a steel or aluminum sheet in both embodiments.
[0047] It is also conceivable to manufacture the connecting element 4 and, in the case of the base 41 formed separately from the connecting element 4, the base 41 from plastic.
[0048] The drainage mat 3 itself essentially consists of a base 31, from which studs 32 extend in the vertical direction Z. A fleece or fabric is preferably applied to the studs 32, as is shown for example in the Figures 2 and 7 is shown.
[0049] A portion of the leg 43 rests on the end face 33 of the knobs 32 or on the fabric 35 resting on the knobs and thus holds the drainage mat 3 on or in the case of the embodiment according to Figures 1 to 6 in the connecting element 4.
[0050] How to continue in the Figures 2 , 4 , 5 and 6As shown, the leg 43 has a first section 44 close to the back 42 of the connecting element 4. This first section 44 extends at an acute angle toward the bottom 41 from the back 42 of the connecting element 4. This selected geometry enables optimal flow of water from the drainage channel 2 into the drainage mat 3.
[0051] At the end of this first section 44 remote from the back 42, a second section 45 preferably extends in all embodiments and is aligned parallel to the bottom 41 of the connecting element 4.
[0052] If the edge region 34 of the drainage mats 3 is pushed into the receiving pockets 49 of the connecting element 4, this second section 45, which is aligned parallel to the floor 41, is slightly raised if necessary when clamped.
[0053] In a particularly preferred embodiment, the leg 43 has a third section 46 adjoining the second section 45, which extends at an obtuse angle from the second section 45 away from the floor 41 and thus forms, so to speak, an insertion slope for the drainage mat 3.
[0054] To fix the connecting element 4 to the drainage channel 2, the back 42 of the connecting element 4 is preferably fixed against a side wall 22 of the drainage channel 2.
[0055] The fixing of the back 42 to the side wall 22 of the drainage channel 2 can be carried out by means of fixing elements, for example in the form of screw bolts 5, which are screwed into nuts 6 arranged on the opposite side of the back 42 or the side wall 22 of the drainage channel 2.
[0056] However, a form-fitting, material-fitting or friction-fitting connection of the back 42 to the side wall 22 of the drainage channel 2 is also conceivable.
[0057] The drainage channel 2 preferably consists of the bottom 21 and side walls 22. In the Figures 1 to 6 In the embodiment shown, the bottom 21 is bent vertically upwards laterally toward side wall areas 211. The drainage channel 2 shown here is designed as a height-adjustable drainage channel 2.
[0058] For this purpose, side surfaces 221 of the side walls 22 rest on the inner surfaces of these side wall areas 211.
[0059] Due to the laterally bent side wall areas 211 of the base 21 and the side surface 221 of the side wall 22, the side wall 22 of the drainage channel 2, to which the back 42 of the connecting element 4 is fixed, is double-walled to enable height adjustment.
[0060] The Figures 7 to 9show a one-piece drainage channel 2 with a given side wall height.
[0061] The side walls 22 themselves are designed in all the embodiments shown in such a way that a horizontally extending step 222 extends upwards from the side surfaces 221, from which in turn an outer edge 223 extends, which in turn is preferably bent vertically upwards.
[0062] The step 222 here forms a support surface 23 for supporting a grate (not shown) which covers the water absorption area of the drainage channel 2 upwards.
[0063] In the Figures 7 to 9 In the embodiment shown, the horizontally extending step 222 and the outer edge 223 are formed directly onto the side wall regions 211. The side wall 22 is formed only by the side wall region 211.
[0064] The side wall 22 of the drainage channel 2 is also provided with openings 25.
[0065] Likewise, the back 42 of the connecting element 4, which rests against the side wall 22, is preferably provided with openings 47.
[0066] Both the openings 25 of the side wall 22 and the openings 47 of the back 42 of the connecting element 4 are preferably designed as slots extending in the vertical direction Z, which allow rainwater to flow from the drainage channel 2 into the drainage mat 3.
[0067] The side wall areas 211 and the side surfaces 221 generally have the same openings 25, and the side surfaces 221 can be adjusted in height by means of screw connections (not shown).
[0068] The height of the ridge 42 in the vertical direction Z is dimensioned such that it encloses the openings 25 of the drainage channel 2 as far as possible, so that as much water as possible can be introduced from the drainage channel 2 into the drainage mat 3 without cross-sectional losses.
[0069] How to continue in the Figures 3 and 5 As shown, several tabs 48 protrude from the back 42 of the connecting element 4 in extension of the base 41, which serve for the additional connection of the connecting element 4 to the drainage channel 2, in particular its side wall 22.
